My hubs and I were shopping at Costco during the dinner hour on a Tuesday and were getting quite hungry. So after we loaded our groceries in our car trunk, we went to Gyro Sababa for dinner around 6:45pm. The place was clean and brightly lit. It wasn't busy at all when we arrived. We ordered two Shawarma King wraps (one chicken, one with beef and lamb which is gyro meat) = $13.55 each. The young cook took time and care making the wraps. They came to us piping hot! They were big (see the photo) and we both said we'd probably have to take some home. Then we promptly demolished both of them in record time. "I can't believe I ate the whole thing!" That's what my hubs said after he finished. Not kidding. I was thinking the same thing! Both wraps came with just the right amount of lettuce, cucumber, tomato, cabbage, pickles, and tahini. We skipped the garlic sauce and fished out the onions (alliums don't agree with us). Everything in our wraps was savory and balanced. It was absolutely delicious and we complimented the young cook on our way out. This place is great and we look forward to coming back and trying more of their dishes! read more

This is the only place (that I'm aware of) that makes fresh falafel for every order. The falafel were perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside. The portions were decent, and everything (hummus, rice etc) tasted authentic. I'd highly recommend this place! read more

This was our first visit at their new location in Shoreline. I got my usual gyro pita with lamb and beef and MC got her usual gyro fries with lamb and beef. Both were freshly made - mine included a warm pita with grilled gyro meat and crisp veggies. Fries were nice and crispy with garlic sauce and a sprinkle of feta. Same friendly service and delicious food as the Northgate location, but closer to home. We'll be back! read more

The second location of Gyro Sababa opened sometime Nov 2024. It is situated between Bag O Crab and Jersey Mike's, near Home Depot (same Aurora Village complex as Costco & Costco fuel station in Shoreline). I enjoyed dining at their other location near Seattle's Northgate area. I'm glad to see their second location here with the same welcoming staff and fresh, tasty menu items. I stopped in for takeout (12/7/24). My gyros was chockful with fresh vegies (lettuce, cabbage, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, and green peppers), lamb/beef gyro meat, and tzazaki sauce. All encased in a fresh warm pita. Spot-on delicious! An order of Sababa Fries was well received by The Homie. Fresh fries topped with homemade garlic sauce, feta cheese crumbles, and spices. Next time he plans to try the Gyro Fries after he sampled the lamb/beef gyro meat. Menu items are available a la carte, by plate with salad & pita, or combo with fries & soda. There's also a well stocked refrigerated case with assorted beverages. My order was nicely bagged and included napkins and fork, which was greatly appreciated. Sababa Gyro might be a casual suburban strip mall restaurant, but their take on Mediterranean eats (with a Greek and Middle Eastern spin) and their service were a cut above! My pick from the menu y was the Mazzat Veggie Plate, which came with a fresh, crunchy Greek salad (chopped romaine, cucumbers, red cabbage, red onions, bell peppers, crumbled feta), creamy hummus, chunky baba ghanoush, three oval-shaped falafels, three dolmas, and three fried cauliflower florets. Every component of this dish was spot on in flavor, but my favorites were the crunchy falafels, the hummus, the fried cauliflower, and the baba ghanoush, all of which went nicely with the side of soft, toasted Greek-style pita bread. I'm glad they opened this place here. It is a great alternative to the $1.50 hotdogs from the Costco next door. The restaurant is nice and clean and enough tables for those who want to eat in. I've had their Shawarma Platter before so I got the Arabic Shawarma this time. My wife got the Lamb & Beef Kabab Platter. The Arabic Shawarma was toasted and cut into 4 pieces and came with fries. It was a little messy to eat since the contents slip out of the wrap. Regardless, it was delicious. We had a little bit of a wait for our food, maybe 30 minutes, probably because of the kabab. read more

We went here as a family of four with two adults and two kids - ages 6 and 8. We got 4 sandwiches and the food was delicious ("really delicious" according to the kids). The pita bread in the gyro and falafels was soft and chewy, and held up well with a generous portion of filling. The meat in the lamb and beef gyro was fresh, well cooked, and well seasoned. The falafel was crispy, fresh, and distributed through the pita. The guys working here went above and beyond to be kind to us. They were very welcoming and accommodating. We will be back!! read more

The cauliflower was fried while I waited, and topped with pickled turnips, a load of fresh veggies (tomato, lettuce, cucumber, onion). The pita was nice and soft, the hummus was very flavorful. Service was excellent- they were busy but service was friendly, attentive and prompt. Excellent canned and bottled drink selection, with standard American options plus a lovely array of Middle Eastern drinks (Vimto, Yogurt drinks, etc). I as disappointed in my experience. I came here hungry. There was one gentleman taking orders and making food. I placed my order and waited for acknowledgment and to pay. However, he was so busy , he then ignored me. I thought I should pay. No, he turned his back on me, so after lingering at the counter for ten minutes, with no direction I figured I should just sit down. I ordered the supreme gyro wrap, with lamb and beef. And the pistachio baklava. One great thing, is they make your order fresh individually. However, there were four orders ahead of me. I estimate 15 minutes to custom cook each order. So, I waited approximately 45 minutes for my. sandwich. There was only one person taking orders, fixing food and answering the busy phone. When my gyro arrived, the outside was hot and crispy. The picked vegetables were great. But there was a lack of meat and sauce. The gyro was quite dry, there was only sauce on the outer edges. Served with over salted French fries, unfortunately. I have so many gyros, from Athens to Seattle. These are mediocre gyros, with a long wait time. read more
