I visited this office 5 times in-person, and called ~3 dozen times throughout my diagnosis process,…read moresurgery and post-surgery. Dr. Johansen (recently retired) is kind, empathetic, patient, and adamant that I had the best care. My surgery was postponed due to COVID-19, and he advocated for me in a way I have never seen from a doctor. Post-op, he called me 1-2x a week to make sure I was doing okay. I also had the opportunity to build a relationship with the administrative staff (specifically, Cynthia and Chris). I had to call them frequently to ask for paperwork support. They were always patient and hilarious. Because of my health, I've been to a lot of different healthcare offices - very rarely will you find people SO invested in you as a patient. They're quick to respond to emails, and will go the extra mile to make sure that you are taken care of.

All caused from 50 years of smoking. We were referred here by DR Buckler, her cardiologist, after her first surgery was botched and she contracted an infection, which settled in her spine and almost killed her at Virginia Mason. DR Pham has proven to be Mom's Guardian Angel and has saved one leg or the other or her life more times that I can keep track of. She is not only Mom's favorite doctor, but one of her favorite people! Her skills are unmatched. And no matter what hospital, ER, clinic, or specialist we are at, Everyone knows DR Pham and has nothing but good things to say about her and that she is the best vascular surgeon around! Thanks to DR Pham and her team for helping to keep Mom with us for a little longer!

I've been a Virginia Mason patient since the early 2000's, but until recently I've been going to…read morethe Lynnwood office. The Edmonds office is almost within walking distance from my home and it seems to be less busy than the Lynnwood office. That's a definite plus! I've been here many times to their Urgent Care clinic (which is in the same section as the 'regular' care), but I'd never been on a regular basis. I went in for a problem and they sent me upstairs to another doctor. The staff both upstairs and down were super nice and I was able to be seen quickly upstairs. The doctor who treated me was extremely nice and understood my situation. I'd been without a primary care physician since my doctor at Lynnwood retired a couple of years ago but two of the staff at the Edmonds clinic recommended another doctor, so I made two appointments with her. I was even able to change one of the appointments with no issues at all when I realized there was a conflict. I've been in twice to see a pharmacist about my medications and she was super nice as well. I love that this location has its' own pharmacy. It's so convenient and although the staff seem a little flustered at times, I like coming here. Overall, my care has been great and I like coming to this location. Hopefully I can transition completely to this location for most of my medical needs. It would definitely save a lot of time and gas. As for their Urgent Care, it's been great. Thankfully I haven't had to come too often but I love that it's there when I need it. The parking is a lot better here than at Lynnwood, but there are two sides to the building so it can get confusing as to which one is the correct one. The one on the other side of the building that faces away from the street is the entrance that goes to the main reception desk.

I got the sclerotherapy for spider veins and it was minimally painful. Everyone from the front desk staff to the people who bring you in to the rooms are very friendly. I live about 25 min away and I'd gladly make the drive to see this team. Glad to have used them and hope they help many future patients live healthier and happier lives.

It doesn't feel like you're going to a doctors appointment in any of the less desirable ways, but definitely feels like it in all the good ways that reinforce you're getting the best quality care. A good friend of mine found BoxBar while researching her own venous condition and is already seeing major improvements in her quality of life. I went in with my mom and the staff was great at getting us scheduled back to back since I'm the driver. Our successive appointments are scheduled the same way, and they really care about being accessible. I also have my own slew of rare autoimmune diagnoses, and a couple are comorbid with their own vascular risks / stroke risks so I wanted to get a thorough assessment with some hard data. We're getting all the data. Dr. Derrick was familiar with a lot of nuanced factors and details tied to my diagnoses I've never seen any other doctor outside of rheumatology have any in depth knowledge over. It was a pleasant surprise and incredibly validating.
