I had a faulty part in my HUMMER that came to light in a somewhat dramatic fashion. It was very surprising to me as I believe this truck is amazing in all aspects. This HUMMER is about as over engineered as it gets. When this happened it was quite tragic and SEAVIEW GMC is standing behind their product! Besides the down time, I've been told I'm getting my truck back like new at no charge! They're even sending it to a very reputable auto body shop to fix the very minimal body damage caused by the issue! The only issue I can think of is that it's taken quite a long time. I'm hoping to get her back very soon and I'm good. I'll definitely update this review as needed. Don't go here if it's your first time purchasing a car. 1. I initially came here to test drive a vehicle and ended up really liking it, so I moved forward with the purchasing process. The finance person, Shawn, was very pushy about adding warranties to the vehicle. I initially declined, but he continued trying to convince me by bringing out paperwork to justify why I should get the warranty. Shawn also told me, "You can always cancel the warranty if you really want to -- all you have to do is come in, let us know, and sign a few papers." So I did end up going with a warranty given this information. However, when I returned the next day to cancel the warranty, it suddenly became a whole ordeal because I "needed my warranty paperwork." This was NEVER mentioned the day prior. On top of that, Shawn had a noticeable attitude throughout the interaction. 2. The woman who helped me during the sales process was fine overall and handled her part appropriately. However, she also seemed to have an attitude when I brought the vehicle back the same day because the driver-side window would not close. read more

This dealership is all about the scam. I came in with pre-approved loan paperwork from local bank, when I went to sign the paperwork they had changed it to a higher rate out of state bank. "Oh sorry, we didn't mean for that to happen." Lastly the car's motor had 95,000 miles on it, and lasted less than 10,000 be for it had a total failure. I had it looked at by two other dealers, who both said this type of problem would have shown up in the dealer used car check in process. Seaviews answer, " It looked fine to us." Pretty lackluster experience. There was a lack of attention to detail and communication. I called to my car serviced regarding oil change, tire alignment, and check on my TPMS . Appointment was locked in and everything good. On day of the service, I talk to the front desk employee and have a full blown conversation regarding the TPMS to understand how much it would cost. Conclusion was they need to look at it because it could just be a system issue that needs just a reboot and not replaced. We aligned that they would inspect and call me if TPMS system needed to be replaced and worked on. In addition, they also asked if I would wait until repairs are over and I said no, so they got my phone number to call me (also got my email too) once it was done. They didnt call me or reach out that day (I didnt need car that day but still poor customer service for not reaching out when done) but also the following day when I called via the phone I asked about TPMS and they said it was all good (fixed). Get to dealership, pay, and get in my car. The TPMS light is still on. Go back in to talk to the front desk (different person from day before). We look at the paperwork and for whatever reason the person from the day before did not write down anything about TPMS and guy who answered on the phone just made an assumption based on dealership notes. The person I originally talked with was on break at the time of this conversation and so the guy at front desk said he would tell her to call me to resolve issue once she came back because I had to leave for something. Never got a single call. Take away is that they really dont care and just want your money. Conclusion: Do NOT recommend because of poor customer service, lack of attention to detail, and overall a lack of accountability. read more

Perfect place to get an education in scammy sales. We went, cash in hand, to buy a used car for the price listed on the website. 1. The paperwork they handed us contained $8,000 in add-on charges we didn't ask for. 2. Ten minutes of repeatedly stating we didn't want an extended warranty or anti-theft mark-up got them down to sticker price but they refused to take off the tax they'd computed on the $8k markup. 3. Once tax was accurately computed, we were closing on a fair number for everyone. Gabe (sales manager) swooped in to offer the car for $2,500 more than the sales person had just offered. 4. 10 minutes of the manager stating his absolute lowest number - still $2k above the sales person's number. We ended up walking out. 5. The Sales Manager texted the next day acknowledging that they'd raised the price at the last minute and we could buy for $1,500 more than the sales person offered. 6. The sales person called to say he was never negotiating with us, only coming up with ideas for the manager to consider. And they called again a few days later to say they'd fixed a broken part we'd showed them when test driving even though in the moment, "it's supposed to be like that." read more

I purchased a new car in 2022 with free oil changes for the life of the vehicle. I live 2.5 hours away and the dealership emphasized when I purchased the car that I could conveniently get my oil changes done on Saturdays, given the distance and my work schedule. Everything worked great until the dealership decided to discontinue Saturday oil changes. Now I need to take a day off from work to get my oil changed. Sales Department = is and will always be open on Saturdays. Service Department = no longer open on Saturdays. This disconnect shows the dealership's lop-sided priorities. I attempted to communicate my frustration to a manager named Gabe. There was no empathy; just a reiteration they no longer offer oil changes on Saturdays. I considered myself a very loyal Seaview customer, having purchased my last two vehicles from them and having them do all my scheduled maintenance. I will take a day off work to get my free oil changes, but will pay another dealership to do my scheduled service going forward. While I was planning on buying my next vehicle from Seaview, that is also not going to happen. read more

8/25/24 When I arrived I was greeted by Josh. Nice and friendly (no knowledge on Nissan at all). Josh was answering as much as he could, started the car and was trying to ask questions about financing or buying outright while I'm trying to check the car out. I know they have a job, but really?! The car makes a wining noise so I was trying to figure out where it was coming from. He was still trying to have a conversation but because he knows nothing about the model he kept saying "it could be the electronic power steering but again I don't know anything about Nissans." Steve came out who I had spoken to on the phone, introduced himself, pulled the car out of the parking spot and asked if we wanted to drive it? I said before I drive it I would like to know what this noise is? This man replied with "that sound? That's normal." I said "no it's not." He said it 3 more times as a rebuttal to me saying it's not. He then said "I'm not going to argue with you because all cars make this noise." I replied with "if you wake up and your back pops every morning that's not normal. This sound the car is making is not normal and I would like to work with a different salesman." He started getting upset and said again "it's the power steering and it is normal." I said to him "you said you didn't want to argue and I asked for another salesman." I then went inside and got Josh. I eventually took the car to Firestone. The night ran long closing out the documents and Dominic, his manager and the financial manager all missed dinner. I brought the vehicle back today to get some assistance on the many options and functions. Dominic worked it out and got me back on track. **Update: had some difficulty with the truck technology. I was directed to the service department for assistance. I don't remember the technicians name (maybe Ken). He brought out a laptop connected it to my truck and figured out the issue. Friendly, professional, efficient. 5star. Turns out if you turn off the accident avoidance options there is a warning light in the consul reminding you it's off. Makes sense. read more

Story time! This dealership and their salesmen lied directly to my face during my purchase (and I confronted them with proof). Dealerships (or stealerships, in this case) have a horrible reputation for not being completely honest. However, I'm not sure it's common to be flat-out lied to and then have proof of the lie. I gave the dealership almost a month to respond when I learned about their lie and utter lack of integrity. In true fashion, none of the managers have reached out. They have my email and my cell phone number, but they just do not care. I was looking for a 2020 Ford Raptor. Seaview GMC had one listed and in the listing they showed a Decked truck bed drawer system. It was in the photos and it was mentioned in the ad itself. That's a $2000 accessory and I was very interested. When I showed up, I really did like the truck. Took it for a test drive and decided I wanted it. The salesman told me they were a "no haggle" dealership and that they wouldn't even haggle on my trade. I'm not sure how true this is. They definitely made me 3 different offers on my trade after a pretty ridiculous low-ball. They didn't budge on the sale price of the raptor, though. After we had gotten through most of the paperwork and were waiting on the finance department to be available, I decided to go open the bed and take a look at the Decked system. It was gone. I brought it up to the salesman and told him that $2000 drawer system was in the photos and the written description of the ad they posted for the truck. He went to go find out and another salesman took him outside and talked to him for a couple minutes. When he came back, he gave me some story that the previous owner had demanded the Decked drawer system be given back to him. It was just a mistake that it was in the photos (and the written description!!) of the ad. He was very sorry, but there was nothing he could do. I told him that felt dirty and like a bait and switch. Those units are about $2000 after tax and showing it and saying it's included just to get people onto the lot is complete BS. Again, he just apologized and said there was nothing they could do. We finished the sale and I took the Raptor home. The stealership forgot to remove the old documents from the glove compartment and I found the name of the previous owner, whom I contacted to see if the story they gave me was true. It took some time for the previous owner to get back to me, but it turns out the dealership lied through their teeth. The previous owner left it in the truck when he sold it. He did not take it back. (See attached messages) I contacted the dealership asking for them to do something to make this right. At this point it is the principle. They flat out lied to my face and when confronted with the truth, they have completely ignored me for nearly a month (see attached emails). It would be one thing if some employee, lacking any discernible integrity, stole the Decked system out of the truck without the knowledge of the dealership. However, it is another thing entirely for the dealership to just ignore the issue when it is brought up with proof. Rather than a dishonest individual, this shows a systemic lack of integrity from the entire management at Seaview GMC. I feel the dealership was likely fully aware of what they did and they think it is just business-as-usual to lie to their customers as long as they make the sale. Since they were unwilling to contact me or make any attempt at making this right, I've decided to just post my experience here (and other places). My hope is that the telling of my true and honest experience with them costs them far more business and money than it would have if they just tried to do the right thing. Found a Yukon XL, drove about 40 minutes to go test drive it. In the description it stated there were no issues , another reason why we drove that far. SUV was sitting in front of the building, at first glance we immediately noticed the detail was done poorly. We spoke to Travis, or could have been Trevor, he told us that full disclosure that the check engine was on. We asked a few questions unfortunately he didn't know much about why the check engine light was on. We went for a quick test drive, and when I went to park it none of the sensors went off. We decided to go inside to talk about more of the vehicle and our trade in. we told Josh,(the sales manager) what we wanted for our trade and he handed us the full worksheet of what has been done to the vehicle since it came in as a trade in. A bunch of work has been done on it including transmission has been replaced. Josh insulted us with the trade in value and keep telling us to let's get the paperwork done to make the GMC ours. and they would honor the check engine light and fix it. Josh handed us a mock up worksheet showing the price plus all of the other items. They had already added the extended warranty plus some ridiculous anti theft fee. All they wanted us to do was to sign the paperwork for a vehicle that had a check engine light on (codes showed sensors which is why none of them went off when I went to go park it.) And they were gonna use the extended warranty they had already added without discussing it with us, to fix whatever else was with the car. we will never return - total waste of time read more

I went into this dealership after finding a car online that had been listed for months, I made a reservation which was weirdly complicated but I was still pretty excited and even pulled out cash to pay in full for this vehicle. From the moment we got there the vibes were so weird, we walked in and had to hunt down mechanics to even find someone to show us the car ( even though they were expecting us ) The person who did end up talking to us ( STEVE who I made a reservation with ) was in the room the whole time we were looking for someone just snacking away on some chips while watching videos on his phone. He introduced himself and rather then shaking my hand first, the person who made the reservation to buy a car, he immediately shook my friends hand ( a man ) and asked his name. He asked multiple times if I've "ever had a car like this" and I repeatedly told him I had that exact car. I pointed out multiple issues INCLUDING THE CAR SMOKING after only going around the block where he told me it's NORMAL. I asked to speak to a manager because at this point I'm horrified with how nasty and sexist this man was being and he's like " sure he's right behind you " The manager was IN THE ROOM where he allowed his salesman to speak to me the way he did, horrible and disrespectful. Recently bought a vehicle from Seaview and didn't make it 2 weeks without the transmission going out. The output shaft is completely stripped. In trying to communicate with the folks at the dealership, I was told the best they could do for me was to offer a $1000 trade-in value on the vehicle to put towards a new vehicle. I just spent $8k on a car not to make it 2 weeks without having issues and having to spend another $6 on repairs. The $1000 trade-in would put me $7k in the hole with the first car to then spend another $8-10k on another car that I can't have faith will work properly considering the first one was in poor shape. I'm aware that you take a chance on a used car anywhere, but I bought the vehicle in good faith that it was fully inspected and running well. And things happen, cars have trouble. But TWO WEEKS?! That's unacceptable. Please consider looking elsewhere for a vehicle. I was not going to write a review but with a lot of thought, I decided to. My partner and I came across this lot on our drive and saw a few cars that caught our eye. We test drove a Toyota 2018 XSE with a high mileage and saw there were a few things that definitely needed work on despite them telling us they had "maintenance" done. The drive wasn't smooth, the engine didn't sound as great, etc. There was little to no car fax on the vehicle, and upon checking the car's value, they were surely asking for the higher end of the range. Upon asking for them to reconsider the pricing, the sales associate suddenly brings up a "no haggle" rule, and explained that they're giving the best price based off of KBB that the car was a 10/10, something we definitely disagreed on. With further communication, there was still no budge on the pricing, and on top of it all, fees beyond taxes that they added for the heck of it. After some thinking, we decided to pass on the "deal" as the car was definitely not worth what they were asking, and how strict they were with the price definitely turned us away. Yet after some time, someone we knew went to this very location and had gotten their used car-- going through the whole ordeal with the "no haggle" price, but they were later called back to offer a few hundred dollars discount. Talk about unfair. But when I was there, he made a point that "if I gave you a lower deal, that would mean I'd have to do the same for the rest of our customers." I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt upon reading their reviews, but I suggest before coming here to do a lot of research on the car and also about their dealership. If you're in the market for a reliable used vehicle and a pleasant car buying experience, Seaview Buick GMC isn't it. We were looking to buy a 2016 Honda HRV for my 16 year old daughter. After much back and forth with Seaview and reiteration that they do not negotiate...we decide to go take a look anyway since it was my daughters first choice. I'll add, I've never come across a dealership that seemed more uninterested or unmotivated in selling a car to someone with cash in hand. Also you don't find out about the $600 anti theft fee (on all their vehicles) until you ask about the out the door price. This fee isn't included in the vehicle price. They wanted alittle over 20k out the door for a 16 Honda HRV with 97k miles on it. (It was definitely against my better judgment we drove the hour and a half to the dealership anyway.) I was told before arrival the vehicle had "No known issues to my knowledge but I will go out there now and check for stains, defects and I will start the car to make sure there is no shudders, lights on, etc or anything for that matter! :)...I just went out there and checked on it. No big stains or defects, engine is nice and quiet, no warning lights on, and all the electronics work inside." I should have taken the hint, his specificity in mentioning "shudders." Not even a minute into the test drive (with my daughter and a salesman) the vehicle starts shuddering at 20mph and won't accelerate. The check engine light starts flashing and the car seems to lose power, going into limp mode leaving us coasting along this busy side street. The car won't respond to the gas pedal being pressed, cars are honking at us, the car is still shaking and coasting, we are rolling at about 5mph holding up traffic. The salesman asks if I'm pressing the pedal and says it's nothing serious it's just been sitting a while, all minor stuff. I look over at my daughter and she is griping the seat eyes wide. We get back to the dealership where he says I can buy the car, leave it there, and they can fix it, and I can also purchase extended warranty for about $3500. They wanted me to buy this inoperable vehicle, FOR MY 16 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER at full asking, with a warranty, so just over $23500. It would be laughable if he didn't know this was for my kid, but he did, and didn't see anything wrong with the mere suggestion that I should put her behind the wheel of this vehicle. I've made 15+ car purchases, and I've never had an experience like this, unreal. Long story, long--We left and went down the road to a reputable dealership, where I purchased a 16 HRV completely serviced and without issue. ...Thank you Seaview for teaching my daughter a valuable lesson and demonstrating everything wrong with the auto sales industry. (Btw don't buy the White 2016 Honda HRV, it looked like it was put back on the lot.) read more

"Either you cross out the deal or you don't get the truck". Let me call my manager blah blah blah. They take a non refundable deposit of $2,000.00 and hold it over you to sign for a worse deal than agreed upon. I want to co tact BBB but I now think I'll just co tact a lawyer. Customer Service is alive and well. I drove my truck there to find out why my brake lights were not working. While standing at the counter a service guy said are you Mikes wife. I said yes. He said I recognize the truck. Can I help you. I told Erick I just was going to buy a set of bulbs and try to put them in. He said well hold on Let me check the sensors to see if it's the bulbs. I asked how much is that. He said no charge. He then checked it. He said it's the switch. He said we can change it out and showed me where it was and what was going on. He talked to me about the truck and explained why this happened. He said just drop it off and we will take care of it. read more

In one word - outstanding. After a long time I was in the market in search of a pre-owned vehicle. I reduced my choices down to a couple of models and found one available in Seaview GMC. From the time I contacted the dealership (thru an online consolidator) to the point when the key was handed over, I was always treated with respect and never felt any pressure whatsoever to purchase anything from them. To be quite honest, I was very skeptical but Cale was awesome. He was always available (with a reasonable ETA) to provide clarity and answers for the questions I had, be it in person or via text/email. Cale offered me to take the car home and keep for a day so my spouse can test drive it (which I did not take but it was a pleasant experience for me). He made sure the purchase agreement was contingent upon an inspection of my choice (I asked for it since the car was a not a GMC and hence technically they could not make it certified pre-owned) The finance person (Jay) was very easy to work with. He presented all the add ons upfront (e.g. extended warranty, gap protection etc.) but never pressured me to buy anything. There was never a back n forth with the best price. What was presented online was what has been ultimately honored. The entire signing process finished less than 30 minuets while I was prepared for at least half a day :) Thank you Cale and team. Had new vehicle in for service at 4500 miles. First the web based appt setting took 3 tries- even have a disclaimer that they may not work so call in 48 hrs if no one responds. This is 2021- get it together! Car was returned with grease/oil smudges on seats, console, matts from technician. Again, brand new 2021 with light interior- my wife was irate and cleaned it after their halfassed attempt. The topper was after drive home and it sat for 2 days, see large puddle underneath. It's oil. The tech left oil filter loose- tightened it another 1 1/2 turns to fix and clean up about 1/2 qt on garage floor. Sorry- not EVER going back there for ANYTHING again!! read more

Is it just me or is every Amercian car dealership tend to treat their customers like someone to toy around with and take them to the cleaners? I have had a number of cars from various manufacturers - American, German or Japanese - and by far the worst service and sales I have received has been consistently from GM, GMC, Cadillac and Ford dealerships, in that order. The lack communication or honesty from this specific dealership has been over the top and the shady practice of upselling after you agree with the price is beyond acceptable. The hard sell doesn't end until you tear your self away from the dealership floor. read more

If there was an option for zero stars I would've chosen that. I bought my car from them about 5 months ago... after finding out I was charged $4,000 ABOVE Kelly blue book (my fault for not checking, but I knew the guy that sold me the car whom I thought I could trust) I was floored. After a week of having my car, my oil change light came on. Long story short... I left it there so they could change it and also repair the ripped vinyl in my seat that they said they'd fix if I bought the car. Well, they had my car for 1 week for a vinyl repair and an oil change... and when I came to get it after they said it was done... the oil light was still on and the oil wasn't changed and to make matters worse, they actually ripped the vinyl on my passenger seat and said "We will fix it later". There was also a dirty foot print on the seat and dried mud where the foot print was. My car wasn't complimentary vacuumed, washed - nothing. As you can imagine I was absolutely mind blown they were treating me like this! My driver seat was repaired with a "bandaid spray finish" that ruined the glossy look on the seat as if it never was replaced. It looks awful! To make it up to me, they bought me new rubber mats for the car floor as if they made it all better??? They never reached out to me again to fix my passenger seat and truthfully I am glad they didn't because they are absolutely useless and I can't believe they are still in business with how they treated me. They laughed when I got upset with how I was being treated. As a female I felt like they were taking advantage of my inability to know much about cars. They also never offered me an extended warranty and after having my car for 30 days, my friend said my AC had been broken for "awhile" and SeaView never communicated with me that is was when I bought it. I asked the manager MULTIPLE times that EVERYTHING works and he assured me that it's in "perfect shape". Again, I bought it from someone who I thought I could trust and all he did was rip me off. I just went to get my oil changed a week ago and my new mechanic couldn't even get the oil cap off because whoever changed it at Seaview last had busted the the seal off and cracked the cap as well. Bait-and-switch We went to the dealership 3 weeks ago, planning to buy a used Mazda CX-9. Everything went well in the beginning - we took a ride and proceeded to the purchase. Unfortunately, we couldn't negotiate the price (also they have a poster saying that they "already offer the best price", so "there's no point to negotiate"). But that's ok - the value was good, and the car was in a good condition. During the paperwork, the salesman told us multiple times that they're going to "honor the price of the vehicle". I don't really know what he meant by this, but this will be very important later. As usual, they tried to sell us an extended warranty (~$4000), but we said "no". After which things started go weird. The salesman disappeared for 10 minutes and came back with a new total hand-written (!) price on the invoice, which was $2000 higher than it should be (excluding extended warranty). He tried everything so we wouldn't notice that fact. But I did the math and calculated that the numbers do not match. I asked a straightforward question - why the price of the vehicle increased? Then again he disappeared for 5 minutes and came back telling that they put a wrong price on their website. But wait, aren't you honoring the price, I asked? So he answered, that it's just a little more - not a big deal. I was so pissed off! Do you think I have time for a crap like that? What a piece of garbage - not a dealership! We just got up and left immediately for the good. BTW, we went straight to another dealership and found a much better car for the same price. So in some sense, I'm glad it all turned out like this. P.S. It was in the middle of the pandemic, and we were the only ones who wore a mask (properly). What a disregard to your customers! P.P.S. Have they changed the price on the website?
