One of the worst experiences I have ever had with a business in the state of California for sure . Wish I had read there Yelp review before walking onto there pool site in Pico Rivera .we purchased a in ground pool from them and Greg came out and took measurements said he would get back to us for a date . Well I had to call them twice to find out what was going on? Ok after a month they finally had a date for us. Just a little after that he calls and tells us there there's a problem with the permit! What??? He tells us first to go instead of them going because they are to busy to go because of the country fair. Ok that's fine we go there and told it was the wrong place that we need to contract are sells man Greg ,ok I called like 8 times plus another site in another city , finally I get in touch with him and he tells me they had a problem with pulling the permit. Why didn't he tell me this first before running all around wasting my time and gas. We then finally go to the country office wait for four hours to be told a structure was not permitted before we bought it like 30 years ago REALLY !!! So I was told in order to get the pool I have to Demo my garage which I got 3 estimates .Ok lowest price for that was Five Thousand dollars!,!! Ok my budget was 20 grand for total cost 16,000 for just pool alone then my expenses I would have to pay for a electrician and a surround gate plus little other expenses. So I had to cancel the pool . Now I felt bad that this had happened even though it was not my fault, I bought a spa from them. Thinking I would get back my thousand dollars back for my deposit on the pool or for it to ho towards my purchase of my spa. He tells us that the deposit woulda have to go through to the office first. Me thinking ok that's fine and wait to hear back from him. On the day of delivery there is only two men to lift this big spa into place and they can not do it! They tell me that one of the other guys called in sick that they would have to wait till Monday to install it (WTF) at this time I am exhausted and worried, then they ask me if I have unplugged the old spa so they can put this one in WHAT? Ok I had it unplugged and ready to take away . Ok they show Monday 3 days with this big spa in the middle of my driveway! Ok on day of delivery they place it in ok and start to leave and I ask them aren't you going to hook it up? They tell me that I have to have a Plummer hook it up ! OMG this cost me another nine hundred dollars. Then they never even showed us how to run it . I had to call them back to get a technical person to come out and show us two weeks later. I should have taken a clue when Greg was in the store having a argument with a contractor that day I bought the Spa. They are very sneaky about there ways of running a business. And there people skills are in need of a adjustment in understanding others. They are in for a rude awakening when others start telling there stories of a unfit business that will eventually fold to there disfice. Shame on you guys. read more

Horrible job. Horrible service. Got our pool lined, the lining got extremely wrinkled. Every time we call for help, either the phone doesn't get answered or the person that needs to help us "Isn't there to take our call". Unbelievable unprofessionalism - they won't take responsibility for the wrinkled lining EVEN THOUGH we still fall under warranty. I highly suggest anyone reading this take their business elsewhere - you'll thank me in the long run. By reading the other reviews it seems this is a continual problem with this company. read more

Love How willing the staff is always there to help with any questions and concerns you have for your pool. We purchased our above ground vinyl pool over 3 years ago, and have learned how to maintain it thanks to what they taught me. They have been hands down the best pool place I have ever gone too. We finally got our pool done I'm so disappointed with the time it took I put a review that was not pleasant for Secard but I really warn people who contract with them they have men who are there contract laborers there were 2 men who came to put in the filter and motor and the cut the liner also the pool light they didn't even turn it on the man said I'll let the office know to send someone to fix the light the person was going to take off they left my gate open they did not even let me know that he was going I ran out to ask him if the light was not working because I turned it on and the light didn't turn on when I ran out to the front of my house to tell him he said plug it in you want me to go turn it on he should've instructed or tell me if you did not fix it or how to turn it on I was on the phone with my husband he told me to pass the man the phone My husband told the guy that he wasn't supposed to tell me to go plug it on that was his job so he put his truck in shift with bad attitude very upset that he had to come back into the yard again I really think that if they hire these labor men they should really look into how they do their job Greg did come by and apologized they had 2 other labor contractors that came back to correct the work that the other men messed up these other men did a good job they put the filter and the motor mounted on correctly our pool is finally finished after five months read more

I have an in ground lap pool which they added a step the length of the shallow end. The beautiful colors of vinyl that I picked out is a Bluey Bluey. Everybody is in is in love with it. Garbage. Bought a house with this pool. 3 years old and the vinyl is tearing everywhere. Company says i need a new liner that costs 2k. Lets do the math: 10k = 3 yr investment + $200 in aspirin. Headaches continues. . . Warranty covers nothing but seams. Wood around the pool has split everywhere and needs to be replaced. i rather pay to fill the hole than throw away any more money. read more

If I could zero stars I would! I came in on Monday June 15 at around noon with my 5year old daughter because I wanted to purchase some chlorine tablets and inquire about a filter for my above ground pool and instead of going to Walmart or homedepot I decided to visit Secard Pools in Pico Rivera because they are the "experts". When I came in the store was empty and i went up to one of the employees (didn't catch his name, had a goatee) and asked him about chlorine tabs and seemed careless to help me. I asked him if they sold test strips and his answer was "yes" that's it ! Didn't seem easier to help me at all! I then asked "how much and he gave me the price , and again , a blank careless stare! I will be taking my business elsewhere, somewhere where they actually care about my business. I believe that it shouldn't matter if I came in for a small pop up pool purchase or a gymnasium aquatic center pool, I Am a customer and that guy was very unprofessional that needs further training. read more

We had just purchased an above ground pool from Wal Mart when we decided to stop by Secard Pools in order to compare prices. We were surprised at the price difference as Secard was 3 times more expensive. Greg, the manager explained the reasons why. Much higher quality such as, thicker material, 10 year warranty, size of pump and filter. We were sold but after everything was totaled, the price was now almost 4 times as expensive. My husband and I left and decided to research. After weighing all the pros and cons, we decided to go with Secard. We returned a week later and Greg patiently and thoroughly explained, pool features. Installation and even gave us an unexpected discount when we were going to pass on cleaning accessories. Let me start off by saying Thank you Greg the store manager for his outstanding customer service! I wish we came to this location from the being of purchase. He made our purchase a breeze and a fun experience. What a difference between the Orange location and the Pico Rivera location. Even the store appearance and ambiance was Day and night. Pico was super clean, organized, had music playing, felt nice and cool inside Vs. Orange; no music (you can hear a pin drop in there) dusty shelves, and most of all poor customer service! We got the run around from Rick at the orange location. All because he didn't want to have to load up our car with the items we purchased. I'm thinking maybe because he didn't make sale he didn't feel he should have to help us? Rick told us to go to Pico Rivera store to pick up our order since he sent his warehouse guy home for the day because business was slow. Mind you, Pico Rivera is 22 miles from us vs the orange location who is only 3 miles from us. Then Rick tried claiming they didn't have our pool in stock when in fact I called the day before to confirm they did have it in stock. I informed the girl I spoke to that I would be picking it up the following day. Not sure what Ricks reason is but it was terrible service. Caleb is who we purchased our pool from originally but I was told he is no longer with the company. Sad to say but I would not recommend Orange Secard to anyone who wants good customer service. Do yourself a favor and save your self the headache and poor customer service go to the Pico Rivera location instead. Greg and his guys have Outstanding customer service! WHOO-HOO!!! So we wanted a swim spa, did tons of research and ended up going with Secard Pools in Pico Rivera. Why?!? *Greg is just awesome- straight up, honest, not a pushy salesman, very helpful and knowledgable. He helped us on the process from A-Z and made it as easy as possible! TRULY just honest, kicked back straight forward good customer service. His team Rudy and Jasmine were also super helpful. *The in-house crew is fantastic- I worked with Eileen on coordination, spoke with Harmony, and even the delivery team led by Hans were just awesome carrying that bear of a spa in, and even though I felt guilty asking- they repositioned that beast "just right" for my super anal-husband's expectations (OY!) I believe it was Geronimo who did the initial site inspection- really good guy as well. Coleman swim spa 14x8 foot is what we went with, it's AWESOME. The river jets current are MORE than adequate, and if you lift your legs they'll carry you around- more fun than expected -ha! The LED lights are really nice- love the changing colors- they add a cool ambiance, perfect for a night swim or kick back in the seats. The built in radio is a total bonus - eliminates need to take out or wire up, and you can plug in your iPod or MP3!! The hydrostreams are these cool shooting arcs- fun, and adjustable! The stair case that came with it is stable and steady -not slippery or wobbly like a ladder, tthe cover has 8 locks if you're a safety freak like me The cover is well made and looks like it will last- so bulky- so if you don't have to worry about pets or kids, consider a solar cover. We went other places and did tons of research- but went with Greg and Secard and would absolutely again- although, we only need one swim spa! Ha! We went to Corona to a huge show room, but Greg and his crew beat the prices for the comparable spa. The delivery was much better as well. LifeSpas wouldn't even give prices over the phone- insisting on an in-house presentation, like a time share.. It would have been at least a 2 hour drive- but their agenda mattered more than our needs, so we didn't even bother. Advice: PREP first as needed if going swim spa- we upgraded our electrical panel, had to have a cement slab put down-- which Greg lined up for us. I'd wasted a bunch of energy contacting lots of cement contractors, should have skipped it and gone with Greg first. If you''re tall- get the deepest spa possible. I haven't used the exercise tethers yet but hope to soon. Supplies- so I'm a major bargain hunter and found Secard carries what we need for cheaper than even Amazon! Example pool shock 2lbs at Secard for just about $7 but $24-44 on Amazon. So- your follow up needs can be taken care of at Secard as well. Not to mention- the business has been there for decades- that doesn't happen with bad service or products. Maintenance--VERY little! Chemicals take about 15 minutes every couple weeks. When it was really hot in the fall we had to do a shock and wipe down the sides. I spend more time deadheading flowers in the yard. The cover keeps stuff out well. Former ER nurse here, I absolutely insist on safety first, we went with Kings Pool Fencing, and worked with Stephanie and Zac, Darcy - really did a fantatic job on the install. kingspoolfencing.com Stephanie even texted with me at odd hours to answer questions and make it happen. Other companies wouldn't consider less than 30 feet, like ours. Bottom line- I wouldn't go anywhere else but Secard in Pico Rivera- for above ground or swim spa pools to jaccuzzis, chemicals and supplies---Greg was fantastic- as were everyone who we dealt with. We wanted a pool for our 15th Wedding Anniversary and for our 11 years old daughter to enjoy while she's still in the household. Secard Pools & Spas had a sale on pools We drove to Pico Rivera from South Los Angeles as a family excited about pool shopping. Customer service was great. We met with Greg Budinko. Great salesman. However, we were deceived many times over. Please read and understand all the paperwork before initialing it. We gave them permission to work at our home and they would not be reliable for any damages they cause to our property and we could not get out of there contract. To make a long story a little shorter, they tore our backyard up. They left a XXL hole in our backyard surrounded by concrete and dirt. They told me that they'll be back tomorrow to continue the excavation. They never came back. I had to call them to find out what's going on. Still nothing. Greg contacted us by email approximately a week later and stated, "We rather not continue with this project." I lost my $1000 deposit. Whatever complications that came up or would have came up, we were ready to solve. Secard Pools/Spas featuring Greg Budinko lied to us, tricked us, took our money, and I still haven't heard back from them. Beaware of this company. Get your pools through Secard pools so let's start with the sales rep manager Greg Budinko did a great job at selling us the pool, never heard from him once all the paperwork was done but I did try my best to get in contact with him which was a nightmare because I would never receive a phone call back which makes me feel that once they make the sale there's no need to keep in contact or continue to follow up to make sure that you're happy with what's going on. Let's talk about customer service on the construction side, i've had to deal with Robert Reagan and it's been nothing but a nightmare dealing with a grown man that gives you so much attitude every single time that I talk to him. It's been a headache trying to get my gate fixed that they dented,composite rock around the pool and now I'm having issues with my pool pump not working and keep in mind the pool has been running for about two months, I reported the issue on July 1 two weeks later haven't heard anything and once again I called yesterday to get attitude from Robert. We got our pool during the LA county fair and worked with Greg Budinko. Greg was honest and helpful with getting the pool we wanted. The staff at Secard was great, they set up all inspections and the crews were on schedule. I did the electrical, wall removal and rebuild my self. Only suggestion that would be helpful is a timeline of the steps, this could help any other construction planning. Eileen was very helpful and quick with communication, scheduling and checking and scheduling inspections. I forgot the name of the tech who spent over an hour with me providing operation and pool care instructions. He was very detailed and made sure I understood each step. As a kid, My family had a Secard pool built in 1969 and it lasted until they sold the home in the mid 80's. I'm sure I will enjoy this pool as much as I did then.
