Although I had already purchased my pool before visiting Secard, they have not disappointed in the fantastic customer service. They have been there to guide me every step of the way with the cleaning and balancing of my pool. I never feel like I am being "sold" anything but rather that they give the advice for free and I purchase the items I need. I've even had other pool stores send me to Secard when they didn't feel that they could answer my questions. Beware... Today was the final straw and I feel I would be remiss if I didn't warn others..Our pool experience was not good..from beginning to end. We had a month of no work being done at all so we had a big muddy mess just sitting there..we had our yard completely disrespected by digging in areas they were not suppose to and piling dirt in planters and up hedges etc.. they ruined the ground cover in the planters.. we were told to go ahead and replace it since they weren't sure they would be getting the right material to replace it with and they would just reimburse us..needless to say months and months have passed we still to date have not received the reimbursement..our rebate took several months as well and was not received until we made several calls and emails to hunt it down.. The "rock Veneer" they advertise is PLASTIC it is in no way shape or form rock of any kind and is cheap looking. The equipment used is not of any brand name, we are not sure where they get it from but it is VERY LOUD. After completion the filter canister leaked they came out and we were told they were replacing it with a new filter and canister..since then we have had trouble getting the pool clean we would vacuum and an hour later the dirt reappeared. We had a third party come look today there was virtually not enough suction to clean the pool, I called our rep he said well maybe the filter is dirty?? Ok but its only been in for a couple months and you replaced it..he says just check before we send someone out..we open the canister and there IS NO FILTER in the canister we had been vacuuming the pool and the dirt was being blown right back in..when I called them to tell them their response was "OH!!!! I guess thats a problem we will send you a new filter" At this point I'm gonna need some money back I will be contacting our attorney..BUYER BEWARE read more

Horrible experience with Secard pools, especially Greg doesn't return calls and won't help you thru the process once you sign contract, he tells you to call main office and you can't get a hold of anyone. Their bobcat leaked oil all over my concrete and when I told them about it they argued with me and told me it didn't happen so I'm basically a liar. They show up whenever they want nothing is scheduled, the liner has wrinkles and dents and very noticeable especially at night when you turn light on. They don't clean up after each work day, they just leave a mess and dirt everywhere, would if kill you to spend a few minutes at the end of the day and do a quick sweep? It took months to get the pool done. Not sure how they're still in business. read more

We have owned our Secard Islander 12x24 pool for about a decade now. The original installation went smoothly and at the estimated cost, however, we have had to replace the liner twice so you have to anticipate these costs down the road. But over the years, Greg has always been friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and very honest regarding repairs and replacement parts. First I will say this, the 5 star rating is for Secard, Not my Cal Spa. I posted this review on Cal-Spa's website and received no response from them.. Maybe because there is nothing that they can say. I recently purchased a spa from Cal Spas. The model 851 wasn't inexpensive, but it is cheap. Upon delivery I immediately noticed that the skimmer was obviously misshapen. Item #1 that should have never made it out of the factory. I was told that they would order me a new one. Ok. Well that's not the end. After paying my electrician to hook it up (another 500) we begin to fill it. Then I notice that the waterfall is also molded wrong and the cover to it won't stay on. Again, didn't the guy who put it on notice that it didn't fit right ? Problem #2. Then I fill it and turn it on. Problem #3. The spa leaks from almost every jet. How did this spa even make it past the basic of inspections. The deliveryman said that they water test every spa and there was water spots in the spa when it was delivered. Again, how did they not notice this obvious problem. The answer is they did, and they shipped it anyway. Now I am being told that a repair man will be sent out. This will be the beginning of things breaking with this spa. I will only be happy with them delivering the product I paid cash for. A new spa. Now, I have to pay my electrician to disconnect it and if they replace it, reconnect the new one. (another 700 I'm out) Also, I filled it and when it leaked everywhere I had to drain it. I live in an area where water is very expensive. (another 100 in water) The kicker is that I put the spa on a new patio area. I have contractors scheduled to pour concrete for the rest of the patio and surround it in a 6' block wall. I can't do this until the spa is installed because they won't be able to get to the spa. So now, I have to push my contractors which will cost me at least another thousand. Not to mention the trouble trying to get the three contractors on the same schedule again. So now on top if the 8 grand I paid for the spa, I am out another 2300 for electrical connect, disconnect and possible reconnect, water and contractor fees to push my construction dates. That makes this a very expensive spa and me a very unhappy customer. I am remaining optimistic that my dealer will make this right. I am just concerned that if Cal Spa will put out a product with all of these problems that you can see, how many are there that I can't see. Also, check out the photo on their web site.. All of these employees building the new spas to get out the door and NONE checking the 12-15 spas that are being water tested.. No the heck wonder my spa has so many problems. Obvious issues with quality control. Just pump them out.. We will send service guys to fix them later. Not a good practice. I want a brand new spa or my money back... If this was a vehicle it would be a lemon. I will update this review if they make it right and in all fairness, give them the amazing review of how they made it right. I truly hope that I get the chance to write that review. UPDATE 10/1/16 * Update on my Spa. First things first... If I had not have purchased my spa from Secard Pools, I would probably be up a creek with all the issues I have had. Secard has handled every issue and kept Cal-Spas in check.. Thanks and a shout out to them... So, cal spas came out to look at my spa and sent a tech with a pair of channel locks to just tighten the 40 plus jets that were leaking.. NO.. those are sealed in. Ultimately, they just replaced the spa, but only after they tried to blame Secard. They said that Secard must have left the spa in the sun and that caused the parts to warp.. WHAT ? this is an outdoor product.. Well, that didn't work with me since Secard delivered 24 hours after they took delivery.. The new spa isn't without problem either.. We have had to replace 15 jets already because they are made for the 400 amp motors from the older spas and these spas with two 600 amp motors just blow the jets apart. We are having them just replace the jets with a different style that can hopefully handle it. We also paid about 1,500 extra to have a WiFi and Bluetooth connect for this spa. Neither of them work unless you are standing next to the spa... They have ordered a new Bluetooth and I will update when that happens. Again, If I had purchased this spa from anyone other than Secard, I would probably be out the 9,000 dollars and Cal Spas would be missing a factory.. I can't imagine the frustration. Greg was SO helpful, taught me all about the spas, told me what to expect, helped me pick to right one, and even had the outside painted the way I wanted...... I had one little problem when it got to my house and they sent someone right away to fix the problem. They called to make sure everything was alright too.... It's a bigger decision than I expected and I am glad I went some where personal..... The have follow through, great people, and helpful service people.... Called a couple of days ago and spoke to Greg about starting to take care of an old pool that is in my new house. Iv'e never dealt with a pool so I am a complete rookie. A day later when I showed up in store, he remembered me just from my phone call. He gave me a crash course in how to maintain and treat your pool and there was no pressure to buy anything. We purchased a swim spa at the L.A. Co. Fair. Everything seemed to go well while we were purchasing and everyone was very nice.The salesman made some promises he later did not abide by. We purchased a swim spa #1325 which was at the fair. When we received it, they filled it and it wasn't till later when I tried swimming in it that I noticed the colored sticker at the bottom was missing.This is important because as you are swimming against the current you need to be able to see the mid point of the spa or the current takes you to either side and you end up kicking the sides or back benches! After trying to get this issue resolved the salesperson would not return calls or messages, it took me 2 wks to get in contact with him. then he tells me that the swim spa I purchased was a 1325 American which has no sticker guide at the bottom and the one on the showroom was a 1325 Secard! How was I to know the difference (they are identical) and why did they sell me the American when the Secard was on the showroom! Now they want to charge me $153. plus tax for the sticker and they would offer me a 10% discount for the misunderstanding! Are you kidding me! To make matters worst I had also ordered an aqua jogger included in my package, when I received it I knew it wasn't going to work out and when I requested an exchange for something else, they offered me $50. in store merchandise (they charge a few hundred!)I shared my disappointment with that and the salesperson Antonio Martinez said he'd talk to manager, Leanne Lengtat and later called me back to tell me they would not take it back after all or offer any credit because everything I purchased was a package deal!! Incredible and extremely unprofessional. They will not share who the higher-ups in the company are with me either. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY WITHOUT READING MY REVIEW.I would give them zero stars but I have to give them one in order to write a review. I also read many of the positive reviews and decided to call for a pools quote. First thing I asked was if they serviced my area? I was given the telephone number of their office that services my area. I did the rest of my research and scheduled an appointment with Greg. We met in my home for over an hour I already knew what I wanted. Greg was punctual, knowledgeable and pleasant to work with as the reviews stated. I signed a contract that day, was advised the contract was final that all fees were in writing as well as my responsibilities. I was to remove gates for the excavator and other minor things that the company does not take care of. I hired a couple of people and got to work on my end to prep for the incoming pool as soon as the permit was in. I get a call from Greg a couple of weeks later which made me very excited as I thought the permit was in. Instead Greg informed me that due to my location, I would need to pay an additional 5000.00 or no pool. I stated that we discussed my location prior to the contract signing further more we met in my home & I found it very unfair & unprofessional that we was advising me of this 2 weeks after the fact. I was told by Greg that he would speak to corporate and get back to me. I never heard back from anyone my deposit was mailed back to me, no apology & no pool so I guess the contract we signed it's worth nothing to them. Honestly at his point I no longer wanted them doing my pool if they cannot even honor their own contract who knows what kind of a pool I would have ended up with. Perhaps a blessing in disguise never the less I do not want other people mislead by the good reviews as I was. Unfortunately I am out some time and money as I hired a couple of guys to help me prep for the upcoming pool rented a couple of roll offs removed my gate and poured some concrete to close a gap that the pool was going to leave after the deck was done. VERY, VERY unprofessional,scary lack of commitment & good business sense. After all it's said and done I am glad, I feel I dodged a bullet. read more
