Very Bad Customer Service. The Men are Very Rude!!! Need to learn better customer service

It's been six months since my pool was completed and I'm still very happy and my kids lived in the pool during the summer. During the process of the build, I received calls each evening to tell me what time the workers were coming the next day. The crew swept and cleaned up after themselves each day, even when I felt it was unnecessary as they were coming back the next day to move more dirt. They were friendly and waved and smiled to my kids as they were always watching from the window. Upon the completion inspection, there were minor issues that Greg found and marked for correcting that I didn't have to even point out. It's nice when you don't have to struggle to get a company to stand by their work. Even yesterday when I was attempting to drain the pool due to excess water from rain (very easy to do by the way), I accidentally pulled the hose too hard and pulled the hose bib out of the pump and water gushed everywhere. I called Secard and Greg told me how I could fix this myself (instead of incurring a service call fee) and even told me I could swing by his office for a free replacement bib. Self-inflicted wound solved quickly and easily thanks to Greg. I highly recommend the Pico Rivera office. read more

Going on week 5 since I signed my contract. I have a set date of August 12th, before they start excavation. I really wanted this pool completed by Labor Day but based on the workload Secard is currently experiencing and the 6 weeks start window from contract to shoveling , this will be a huge stretch. Greg out of the Pico office is really responsive and even helped me shop for financing. The main office seems to be running like a chicken without its head. I requested for a quicker start time and Brian told me I was 2nd in line for a quicker start date. They are slammed with jobs. I will update when my pool is completed but so far the execution has been relatively slow. read more

This is our second time purchasing a hot tub from Secard. When we sold our home the hot tub we had purchased as Secard was 10 years old and still running great. We decided to return to Secard to buy a new hot tub for our new primary home and another for our vacation home. Greg and his team were awesome. They stayed after normal closing hours to help us (without rushing up) decide exactly what we wanted - jets/colors/misc options, etc , and we feel good about the pricing options we selected. They finally finished the job. Only about 6 weeks late. . . Absolutely zero communication from these guys. They basically did the job and just walked away. No one ever came to inspect the final product or even cared enough to ask me if I was satisfied. This on a $15K job... After I left the first review Greg called and while admitting that he initially told me 11-12 weeks somehow refused to admit they were late on the job? I mean that's the guys reasoning and logic skills in a nutshell. Good salesman, he got me... Terrible lawyer. He also offered me a $500 discount (which amounts to 3% of the total job) if I'll change the review or delete it. So based on that, you probably shouldn't count on any of the good reviews on here being genuine. I can't imagine anyone having a pleasant experience with these people unless they were literally in a coma. Save yourself and don't even waste your time here. Run, forest! read more

I purchased a 4 person spa a couple of years ago. Greg was the salesman that helped me. Greg had all the answers to my questions and was very knowledgeable and courteous. He set up my delivery that happened perfectly. About a year ago I had an issue with the spa cover holder. I let Greg know and within a day I received a call from the manufacturer who mailed out a part that fixed my issue. Lastly, after now 3 years, I needed a new spa cover to replace my original one. I made some calls and Greg from Secard had the cover to replace mine. Other companies need to have the customer measure the unit and make a drawing. It seemed very complicated. Now my spa has a new cover and looks like new. I enjoy being a customer at Secard Pools. I will shop there for my spa needs. Thank you for the great service!! read more

I wish I could give ZERO stars! This company is very deceiving. Huge lack of communication. I called to cancel as we no longer wanted a vinyl pool. There apparently was no communication within the company as they continued to submit plans and permits without my knowledge and are now trying to charge me for these fees. When we called to cancel the job we were never informed that the permits or plans had been submitted or that I incurred any addition fees at that point. Instead I received a letter months later stating that I owe them almost $2500 and if I didn't pay I would be sued. Petty business owners. This is not how a business should be run. read more

If you want a pool company that does not communicate and you need to do your own footwork to find out where you are at in the progress of your pool, then this is your place. Lack of communication, permit information with Secard for over 6 weeks with no movement and only knew because we contacted the city ourselves. Manager Greg not responding. Delays are understood and if someone was clear on the progress, if this was Covid related okay. The worst customer service as they just want to forget about you. Now if you want to buy supplies or an above ground pool you fill yourself I am sure they are great. But if you are in need of construction they are not set up to handle demand and they will not explain that to you. Needless to say they took $2000 from us and we have zero to show from it, but knowledge that we will never use or recommend this company. Do some foot work, read all reviews including YouTube and TikTok. This is my first negative review of any company, I myself have worked in customer service for over 30 years. After shopping at a few other places for a Jacuzzie Spa we stopped at Secard on our way home already tired from shopping. We wish this would've been our first stop. The customer service is excellent. This place has a wide variety of spas to fit everyone's needs. Due to the pandemic many models aren't available for 90 days, well luckily for us we were able to purchase a floor model at a great price. Greg went above and beyond to help us, he even stayed over time and set us up with financing. I highly recommend Secard. They also sell all the chemicals and extras for your spa or swimming pool. I purchased a hot tub from these people about a year ago. They only gave me a one year warranty, so I waited until I wrote the review after the warranty expired since I didn't trust them not to help me in case anything happened with the tub before then. They charged me $500 to pick up an old spa and bring the new one(which I had to take out myself and put it on the grass for them to pick up). You should not purchase a hot tub from these people. They basically just drop it in the area you want it and leave and charge you $500 for doing so. You're better off buying from a factory direct since Secard does not hook up anything for you. They don't explain this when I purchased it. Just want people to be aware. If you want to save money, buy direct from a factory outlet. Their corporate office (owner) is not pleasant to deal with. He doesn't care as well as the employees who work in the pico rivera office. It's a shame to have such poor customer service and take advantage of people in this way. read more
