I was craving a sandwich, wanted to try something new, and support a small business. We came by right before closing, around 3:15pm on a Saturday. The older couple running the place were just the cutest, super sweet and accommodating. We probably walked in about five minutes before their actual closing time, and they were already cleaning up, but they insisted on helping us anyway (even though we would have totally understood if they didn't). We ordered the two vegetarian options on the menu. I especially loved the bread on the cold sandwich. It was fresh, soft, and slightly sweet. The veggie melt just needed a bit more salt, but I liked the hint of spice. Overall, good solid sandwiches, but nothing particularly standout. We paid about $30 for two sandwiches, one bag of chips, and a small tip. A bit pricey for what it was, but I appreciated that they use fresh, quality ingredients. Honestly, not sure I would go out of my way to come back (unless I was already in the area), but it was a nice experience and I'm glad we tried it. The customer service was exceptional, and that is what would bring me back if I was nearby. Parking is easy since the shop is in a plaza.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Second Reef is tucked in an unassuming plaza, you'll have to park and walk into it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's the same plaza as pure hockey + Greek bistro. If you park near pure hockey and look over to the Greek bistro you'll see second reef! The customer service here is excellent and they are very helpful. Sandwiches are always delicious and you can see them make it in front of you so you know it's fresh. Definitely in our rotation for sandwiches! :)

Second Reef Deli hit it out of the park! I ordered the Brooks Street Hot and it was perfect turkey warmed, bread toasted, and super generous with the avocado. Fresh, flavorful, and made exactly how I asked. The service was just as good as the food. The gentleman and lady behind the counter treated me like family friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. With the ease of online ordering it is easy to forget what passion and art goes into the food we eat when we never interact with those who prepare it. Tried Second Reef Deli for the first time today and what a gem it is. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nothing fancy or trendy about the interior of the deli, but that doesn't matter when the sandwiches are so delicious![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I came after the lunch rush and got the chance to witness the care taken to make our sandwiches. You might think I'm overthinking what it takes to make a sandwich but not here. They didn't slap the food on the bread and quickly spread the aioli about. They didn't skimp on the produce or have parts of the bread barely covered with toppings. They took time to make sure it all fit and was made carefully so eat bite is satisfying. There is a ton to choose from here and even the fountain machine ice was exceptional. Bits of broken ice with cubes produced a faster chill to my Diet Coke than when it's just cubes. Didn't spill out either and overfill the cup with ice so I was pleasantly surprised. If you want a high quality deli sandwich and a great price, you need to stop at Second Reef Deli!

Not bad service is a little stoic but they get the job done here. Had an Italian sandwich, forgot the name, the one with three types of meat and provolone. Was rather bland but did the job. I can tell how good a sandwich is by how fast I eat and finish it. Normally, it takes me 2 minutes to finish a remarkable sandwich. Took me 10 minutes to finish this and I was hungry. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cool and comfy outdoor seating area and inside the vibe is dead.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Not a bad place but unremarkable.

We were craving something cool and refreshing with the heat this weekend, so visited Second Reef Deli for the second time to get some sandwiches. Got the same sandwiches we did last time - the Brooks Street & the Varazze (italian). They were even better than I remembered. The bread had a perfect chew to it, and the bread to sandwich filling ratio was spot on. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice and air conditioned inside, with coke fountain drinks (diet coke is my preferred drink of choice)![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Seemed like a steady stream of customers coming in and the staff was really sweet. Wow !!!!! Sandwiches weren't too overwhelming in size.... amazing flavor and great price!!! Lots of choices and feel free to make special requests... they welcome it! It's a quick deli style with decent amount of seating inside and outside!! What I didn't expect were the young kids who ran the register ... the sandwich maker and the sweeper who no joke were so well mannered and helpful and did their job with out hesitation! It was a breath of fresh air to witness the young staff take pride in each job I witnessed! Last minute my husband and I had a moment to meet the owner YUDI Who is a local and expressed not only to him but also to Josh And Colby and( I'm sorry I didn't get the other guys name ) how impressed we were! Absolutely fantastic! Great ingredients, friendly service. Couldn't ask for anything more. If you're visiting for the first time, you might be tempted to build your own sandwich or customize one from the menu. They'll even encourage you to do it. Before you do though, I'd recommend just trying one as it comes. The brooks street and the maverick are both amazing, no customization required. Fair warning, these are BIG sandwiches! If you're eating outside, you're sure to be looking at the ice cream place next door and contemplating just how much room you'll have left when you're done. read more

I went in today and had a great sandwich, customer service was great, the girl working the front was really nice and was able to tell us great selections. The service was fast, I work locally and it was nice to have a place that accommodates quick service. I plan on bringing my husband to try and I look forward to coming back! read more

Great sandwich place! Has a feel of subway when you walk in but a fancier and customizable menu. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. We had the meatball sandwich and tuna melt (they have fancy names for these sandwiches). The meatball sandwich was $9 on a roll. It was hot, filling, cheesy and delicious! The tuna melt was $9 on sourdough, and came with two sandwiches which was plenty. Both were made to order and although they are pricier than a place like subway, they tasted way better! read more

This Deli is AMAZING! Hard to believe when you walk in that they make the most amazing sandwiches, fresh meat, and best bread in the area. I ordered 14 sandwiches today for an office lunch and I had the pleasure of trying both the Varazze(Italian) and Mavericks (turkey). Outstanding taste and meat quality. Everyone in the office who grabbed a sandwich stated they were the best sandwiches they have ever had. The bread was of a superb quality. The red onions were cut so thinly on the Italian it added flavor without overwhelming onion taste. I'm so excited this is close by. They are also huge and I only needed to eat half a sandwich. A variety of "Dirty" chips at the counter as well. Sorry beach hut Deli, I found my new sandwich go to!!! read more

Best sandwich shop around. I haven't had a better sandwich anywhere. Everything in the sandwich was very fresh and the sandwich is giant! Mine came with probably 2 avocados worth of avocado on it. The squaw bread is great! Customer service was very personalized and nice and they offered us samples. The only thing I would change is I wish it came with a pickle on the side, and maybe slightly less avocado. Either way, great sandwiches! I'm very picky about sandwiches because it's hard to find a decent vegetarian one, and this place has it. Will be back! read more

This place is SO good! They haven't been open long so it's nice to get amazing sandwiches without the huge line...at least until everyone figures this place out. But these were the best sandwiches i've had in a really long time. I was craving a hearty sandwich and found this place on yelp and decided to try based on the reviews and it didn't disappoint! I got a build your own veggie and my husband got a double meat and double cheese sandwich on the french rolls. All of the ingredients are super fresh and don't sit around all day and night and then for another few days like some places do. The bread is awesome and so is the owner. It was my first time here and he came out to explain his menu and all the options to me. He was extremely excited about his shop which was very refreshing to see, and it spills over into the sandwiches as well as his employees. If you're looking for an amazing sandwich, honestly, look no further. I'll be back 100%. They also have great sides and make fresh desserts but unfortunately they were sold out of the dessert when I was in. But i'll be back! read more

We've come here multiple times and it never disappoints. Family always gets the Varazze , and I've been hooked recently on the Salt Creek pastrami- the meat and the rolls are amazing . I actually get a half size and it's more than enough- a full size is perfect for sharing. read more

We have visited Second Reef numerous times. Each time I like to try something new because it's hard to go wrong with the variety. Local businesses like this actually care about their ingredients and don't compromise for the the sake of their profitability like chain sandwhich shops. Great service from really friendly people! My first impression was just that it was some neat little sandwich shop, with probably just some regular sandwiches. But the flavors and ingredients are all so good and clearly great quality. Even the plain ol' grilled cheese is extremely impressive. It's my second favorite after the California Reuben. Oh my goodness!!! I placed a delivery order for 2 build-your-own sandwiches. I ordered a tuna salad sandwich on squaw, and my roommate ordered a turkey sandwich on a grinder roll. We were both so happy with our order! Everything about the sandwiches exceeded our expectations; ingredients were great quality, super fresh, and SO, SO delicious. And I could only eat half of my sandwich, so I got 2 meals out of it. Yay! This place is definitely going on my "favorites" list! read more

The service could've been a little more friendly. The young guy working at the register didn't say much and didn't seem to really promote the menu, even after I told him it was my first time there. I was really excited to try the food here with my friend. I was in the mood for whole pieces of chicken and I'm so glad I chose the half chicken plate. The plate comes with two sides and there were a few options to choose from. I selected a side salad and roasted lemon garlic potatoes. I was trying to be a little more healthy. Otherwise, I probably would've chosen the french fries. The dressing on the salad was really good and all of the ingredients were fresh. I really liked the pickled red onions that came with the salad. The potatoes were alright. The plate also comes with a large soft pita. And the garlic sauce was just right with everything . Everything tasted clean and flavorful which is hard to find when you want something that feels a little healthier. They also offer hookah and the outdoor setup is really chill. Finally, the coffees were nicely balanced and my half sweet vanilla latte had just the right amount of flavor. This cafe is bustling for good reason! I entered Second Reef Deli without a plan and discovered a wonderful experience. The Varazze sandwich presented an excellent taste experience because it combined fresh Italian meats with tangy provolone cheese and the perfect level of tangy dressing. The bread maintained its crusty exterior while providing a soft interior which created a delightful eating experience. The staff provided friendly service at a rapid pace even though the restaurant maintained a constant stream of customers. The staff processed orders with speed while avoiding any sense of urgency. The deli offers a peaceful environment with both inside and outside dining areas which creates an ideal setting for casual dining. The extensive menu at this deli has convinced me to come back for additional dining experiences. read more

Discovered this place on accident when having to get something with my son at the Boy Scout Store, a couple doors down. It's kind of hidden in this "alley" of the Dunkin Donuts and 24 Hour Fitness center. Family run business which I had no idea until after a couple of visits. The amount of high quality deli meat that they apply to each sandwich my wife and I were blown away! My wife got the Verase (the Italian cold sandwich) and the Turkey with sprouts on squaw bread (can't remember what they call it). Both my wife and I could barely get our mouth big enough to bite into our sandwiches, that's how much meat they pack on to their sandwiches. We found this place about a month ago and we've been back here 4 times since, it's that good! read more

I work near Second Reef Deli's and when I tell you I love this place I am not kidding. My coworkers and I ate here at least once or twice the week. All the sandwiches are made fresh greens and meet! If you're looking for sandwiches that are quality, taste amazing and the customer service is excellent this is your place a clean bathroom and friendly staff, run by the friendly owners.
