My husband and I got married in May 2025, and working with Second Song was a great experience for us. Rob in particular was a really great communicator, great vibe, and we liked him from the jump. We chose DJ Mac because his intro video had great energy, and he seemed very passionate about making sure the wedding would be fun for everyone. We had a fun introductory call with him and sent him some playlists ahead of time to give an idea of the vibe we wanted throughout the night. Mac was very easy to work with from the very beginning and helped us plan for a cool moment in the father/daughter dance by sending us a special mashup of songs ahead of time. Absolutely smashed it!!!!! Our DJ, Peter Park was awesome. We got to know him through our meetings, and we really believe we could be friends. He was on point with our must-plays and do-not plays lists, and even played "parents music", which he recommended, however he really shined with his play selection for the rest of the night. A mix of his music taste (as requested), our music taste, along with requests from the guests really kept the energy up. Best part of the night was at the end, during our end-of-night must-plays. He let us grab a mic for a semi-karaoke jam sesh for one of the songs, AND he added two slow dance songs afterwards to close out the evening. We didn't know we wanted that until he included them. We are so glad we used Second Song for our wedding! The whole process was super easy and whenever we had a question or wanted to update something (like add more uplights, which was a great addition btw) we always got a prompt and helpful reply. And our DJ Rob Goodmonson! We cannot thank him enough for the amazing work he did at our wedding! We loved his energy and all of his questions that he had for us during our phone call consultation. I in particular am very grateful that he was so willing to help me with a special song request which required mixing bits from two songs together for my Father-Daughter dance. We partnered with Second Song for our DJ & Photobooth, but they are a great 1-stop-shop offering even more services beyond this. He perfectly blended our must-play list with songs he knew would get the crowd going, and kept the party vibe alive all night long. Beyond his amazing music skills, Kev was professional, easy to work with, and had great communication throughout the entire planning process. He was always quick to respond, and even helped us do a custom edit of our First Dance song. This helped us ensure our favorite parts of the song were captured while still keeping the length short. We did the Black + White glam style photos and the quality was great - everyone looked incredible and it was so fun to see the whole gallery post-event. DJ Mac was awesome. I went into our wedding thinking we need a DJ for our wedding because everyone has music and a dance floor, and you need a DJ. We let him run with it, and he did an incredible job. Dozens of our guests commented that DJ Mac could read the crowd incredibly well. We booked Second Song for their DJ, photo booth, and live musicians. They partner with Blitz Nation to source their live musicians. The good: Our DJ Daniel Cabral was an absolute rockstar. He was a pro at mixing songs, taking requests, and reading the crowd, etc... He kept the party vibes going, as we requested in our initial meeting. We really can't say more good things about him. The photobooth was also great, a big hit with everyone! Now, the bad and the ugly: The Saxophone player whom we booked for 2 hours (to play alongside the DJ) as a surprise performance and the climax of our wedding didn't show up... and gave 0 notice. We. Were. So. Devastated. For the full review on that you can search "Blitz Nation". The reason why this review is not a 1/5 is because we wanted to separate Second Song from Blitz Nation. Second Song's fault is that the company they chose to work with was unreliable, which reflects poorly on them. What's worse is that we only went with Second Song because they had the DJ/Saxophone combo. When Rob (Second Song CEO and our point of contact) reached out a couple days after our wedding, he apologized and explained that the Jay, the Saxophone player, did not appear because he had scheduled a recording session during the day with a prominent artist, which ran late, and he made the selfish decision to "no-show" his evening commitment (our wedding). He also failed to give Second Song a heads up, so they were unable to have a Saxophone player on standby. Rob also said that he was processing a refund, which in our opinion is the BARE MINIMUM. Additionally, our signed contract with Second Song stipulates a DJ and a DJ assistant. We're not saying that our DJ, Daniel, wasn't skilled enough to not need assistance. He handled the entire wedding so well. But, we accounted for the DJ assistant as part of our vendor meals, which was paid to the venue. Moreover, vendors who had meals accounted for, ate from the buffet so the cost was higher than the typical vendor meal. We may have never known that the DJ assistant didn't show up because Rob (Second Song CEO and our point of contact) never even brought it up when he reached out about the Saxophone fiasco. We only found out because our planner returned the gratuity envelope we packed for the DJ assistant. Lastly, after Rob explained the MIA Saxophone situation and we expressed our concerns, he never responded to us. Just poof, like a ghost. Like I said, he ignored the fact that he failed to send a DJ assistant to our wedding, which is a breach of contract. Hey, it's a small thing but after such a big mess up, he can't even try to make things right? There's more he could've done, but we're not here to advise him on how to treat a customer he wronged. That's his job. Blitz Nation, who was copied on the email thread, gave his apology and that was it. As I stated in the Blitz Nation review, "You will only ever have one wedding, there is never a second chance... Tens of thousands of dollars spent for this one day, just for your planned wedding night finale to go MIA. You will never have all of your family, friends, and loved ones (who flew in from out of the country, traveled thousands of miles, booked hotels) together at the same place and time to share this experience. This may be one isolated event, but this happened to us. If you ask me, for a wedding, one is one too many. When we think about this, we are still sad and disappointed." UPDATE: We did end up getting a response with a thorough explanation and they did seem to want to genuinely make things right so this rating has been updated to reflect that. read more

He was so kind and talented and clearly loves what he does. DJ Zooz led an incredible baraat including a Dohl player. We had two great meetings leading up to our wedding where I was able to share Spotify playlists ideas for what we wanted to hear at our wedding. He took our playlists as a foundation and built off of them. Day of, the music was incredible and all our guests were talking about how awesome our DJ was.
