It was my husband's bday and this place was recommended by the chef at the Hilton. I really liked the feel of the place walking in. The staff were nice. Our server Peter, even stopped immediately to ask what I'd like to drink, within the first minute I was seated. My husband and I ordered the jalapeño poppers with raspberry chipotle sauce and OMG!! I've had my share of poppers but that sauce just took it to another level. Wow!! We also ordered the crab stuffed mushroom. Delish!! For entrees, I chose the chicken saltimbocca with saffron rice and broccolini and my hubby had the crab stuffed sea bass with a creamy risotto and broccolini as well. All cooked to perfection. Flavor was ON POINT. Definitely a great choice for celebrating his birthday PLUS, They gave him his dessert for free after they just heard me mention ONCE that it was his birthday!! Food selection is not only great...the food is amazing!!! Coming from someone that knows how to make really good tacos, their tacos are off the charts good. Burgers are huge and their mac'n cheese with chicken is right up there with some of the best. Also great place if you have a dog. We sat outside on a beautiful fall evening and seating had heaters overhead to keep you warm. We'll be back again soon to try the steak medallions and salmon dish. read more

Six of us went on a Saturday for dinner without a reservation. It was homecoming for the local high school and the restaurant was packed. They were able to quickly seat us in the bar and the service was fantastic. On to the food... The portions are HUGE. Two salads would easily feed two hungry people. Leslie was not only super helpful and friendly on the phone, but she offered to personally pick up (and write) a Father's Day card to mail the gift card (to him). Absolutely ABOVE AND BEYONE service!! I cannot say enough how much this means to us, as we've been unable to see our father for months due to the lockdowns and he lives (and has been in lockdown alone). I have visited this restaurant 3 times, the first time we brought 10 people and it was amazing. All the food was great. The second time we sat at the bar, we ordered two items. One of the items was not good. The other item was amazing and the bar service was a mediocre. The third time I brought my family and we sat in the bar at a table. Ordered a wagyu burger. It was tough, overcooked and not tasty at all. I make better burgers at home with cheaper meat and minimal effort. Also ordered an apple juice with no ice and this seemed to have upset our male server. I heard him complaining to another server about my "out of the ordinary" request for a cup of juice with no ice. Instead, I got a glass of watered down apple juice. It tasted like 1/3 of the cup was juice, and the rest filled up with gross tap water. Sent my juice back but was still charged for it. Note- they discontinued Happy hour during Covid. Nice atmosphere, we sat outside & it was quite pleasant. Avocado bruschetta was great. Partner had the short ribs sous vide which were 'pretty good'- the risotto was good, sauce was on the sweet side. I had the Thai stir fry which was good, again a little sweet & noodles were maybe overdone. But good. Cute grill right downtown. Good vibes and excellent service! I ordered the Asian noodle vegan dish with shrimp and it was so tasty and HUGE, enough for 4 people. My friends got burgers and they loved them. Again, they were HUGE. The fries were just ok but the tangy sauce they served with them was over-the-top. Looking for places to eat while in town, Second Street Grill kept catching my eye and had good reviews. It's in a gorgeous building with angled street parking in front and extra parking across the street. The outdoor seating is ample and shaded from the sun. It was an extremely hot day so I chose to eat indoors. Marcus promptly greeted me in the bar and gave excellent service my entire visit. Started with their house made margarita. It's made with fresh squeezed lemon, lime and orange juices and a few other ingredients. It's the best I've ever had! Ordered the street tacos with chicken option. It came with five, but I ate one before taking the photo. Also came with tortilla chips, refried bean dip and a salsa. All food tasted fresh, homemade and delicious. We were pleasantly surprised with how delicious this place was. We stopped on a road trip from Bend to Seattle for lunch. The service was great and the food was very tasty. This place was great! They did a great job providing gluten-free food and they understood the cross-contamination issue. I had jalapeño poppers, which I haven't had in probably a decade because they always one breaded. But theirs were baked and wrapped in bacon. Can't argue with that! We came over for a leisurely lunch after having read about this place for some time. What a great spot in downtown Yakima! The digs here are nothing fancy, but are nonetheless very nice and comfortable. We sat on the patio outside which had a dozen or so tables most of which included umbrellas to keep me from heating up too much. The menu has a good variety of offerings the ranged from slightly eclectic salads, to burgers, flatbreads and a number of more substantial dishes. Everything ranged from $12 up to around $30. I had the Yakima Valley salad and it was absolutely delicious. Greens with bacon, blue cheese, candied pecans and an apple pico de gallo that was absolutely brilliant. It was something we've never seen before, which doesn't happen all that often anymore! My better half of the Chinese chop, and it too was quite delicious. Cabbage, some teriyaki chicken, and crispy wontons all of the lovely Sesame dressing. The flavor was really good and both salads were pretty substantial size, though not big enough to leave you wanting a nap. All in all, this is a really solid spot downtown. I can definitely hear where people are coming from about the pricing, but we felt the food was good enough to justify paying a few dollars more for a salad than you would at Panera. Judging by the amount of people that were there while we were, it seems like most people feel the same way. I'm excited to try more things on the menu here in the future! read more
