We Ordered 4 Don Julio repo shots and 6 piece buffalo wings & fries now I have no issue with paying but on the menu shots were $13 the server said we were being charged another price PLUS TAX!!! Now I'm a bartender and unless you're just buying one shot why are you taxing per shot? Then the wings had NO SAUCE and were dry (I ordered BUFFALO) and I was charged .75 cents after I paid $13 for the wings ... im no math genius but our bill was $100 and that was definitely not worth it ... I could've went to another bar or tekila which is right up front and not be overcharged... read more

First time I've eaten seafood on a taco but I was impressed. Didn't need anything to dip it into and the price was very reasonable. The waitress was pleasant and down to earth. The fact that she was about 6'3" was impressive as well. The ambiance was nice just didn't like the smoke while I was eating. It is a hookah bar as well so what should I have expected? Overall I think I will be comfortable coming back to this bar and trying another special. read more

I wish I could say I love this place. The music was amazing but the bar was terrible! The service was the worst, the bartender Gabrielle seemed annoyed to help us and she took soooooo long to get our food. By the time it reached our table it was cold and she was busy talking to other customers at the bar for 10 minutes AFTER the chef had rung the bell. I am so disappointed that they automatically charged 18% gratuity for our bill when we didn't even get bare minimum service. Save your money! Taco Bell food is better. read more

Food was really good. I got the steak with fries and salad. It was a lot of food but it was really good. The house dressing was perfect and the fries were amazing. My steak I asked medium well no blood and it was still bleeding but they cooked it more no problem. My other got the burger he liked it just said the meat was too thick felt more like 4 patty's than 2. We also got hookah which was not good. The hookah bowls are really small and the hookahs are big/y'all. I literally make it better at home. I'm not sure if it was even the flavors we requested because it never had any flavor. The holes on the foil were microscopic also which was different. We tried to wait a little to see if it needed to hear a little more but there was never any good pull when smoking it. The coals were messy and broke easily and it was $30! Also you pay for the food and hookah separate which they didn't tell us so we asked for the check and she only gave us the food receipt we paid then left. A guy comes running after us apologizing saying we didn't pay for the hookah. That would've been good to know from the beginning to avoid that embarrassment. I liked the outside garden feel so We would still come back since the food was good and I want to like the whole experience, just hope those things improve. read more

The only thing good about this place was the waitress with the black hair and tattoos. The guy with the long hair was great suckering you in but did NOT care when you left. I am not sure who the person, maybe an owner, was but felt like we were being stalked when we're trying to properly tip since 18% is automatically attached to the bill. My friend went to give her cash because we did not know who the tip went to, and the guy was NOT happy about that. I didn't care for my subpar food or drinks, felt like I wasted cash on both. Margaritas were on the sweet side. The mozzarella sticks are the same you would get from the freezer section of the grocery store and heat up in the oven. I honestly would have rated this place lower BUT THE WINGS. Ok we just ordered regular buffalo sauce wings and those babies were PIPING HOT. super duper duper fresh and smothered in sauce. I was so impressed. All three of us partaking in the wings were so impressed. They also have wet wipes available so feel free to ask or just look like the mess we obviously were and they will bring you a handful. Nice servers. No I'll be with you in a sec no hey or even a glance. One thing to be busy but another to ignore. I don't want to sit at a bar and look like a ghost. The bartender proceeded to ignore us but service the people next to us and politely told another group she will be with them. When I told the bar lady about it she said she would go and tell the boss and then never returned, the boss lady looked at our table and didn't give it a second thought. A second time another older man came to collect our plates and was aware the steak had not been eaten then looked at me and said that's to bad, he went and showed the boss lady the steak and again she looked at it and didn't give it a second thought. Walking through Hollywood boulevard and looking for somewhere to grab a drink when this guy standing at the street asks if we want to go to secrets. This little dive is at the end of this wide alley with a few different restaurants/bars. This place was absolutely deserted around 2pm on a Saturday. We sat at the bar top with a pretty attentive bartender and a server would come chat occasionally as she picked up drinks for random tables that did sit down outside. We watched people come in to be seated, take a look around then immediately leave. I get it, the curb appeal was not there and lack of patrons when Hollywood boulevard was streaming with crowds, gives a negative vibe. But we stayed and enjoyed a couple drinks anyways. We didn't order any food as the place looks grungy and dirty. The bathrooms are all covered in spraypaint and graffiti. 3 drinks later was $50 before tip. Pretty pricey. read more

Fantastic hidden gem on Hollywood Blvd. There is a guy outside pulling people in and glad we checked it out. $15 for bucket of 5 Corona w lime. $5 Jameson and Cuervo Silver shots. Amazing grilled chicken skewers plate w rice, hummus and garlic sauce for dinner. Did I mention this is a hookah bar? $6 red wine but the glasses are FULL! This bar is hidden behind Te'kila and another bar, and it's more lonelier compared to the other bars (at least on a Tuesday night) but I honestly prefer this bar way better! They have good deals, like melon margaritas for $5, 5 beers for $15, and another sour margarita for $5. I also believe they have $5 shots. Sooo SUPER affordable compared to the other bars nearby that charge $10-15/margarita. The music is really good if you're into old school rap & hip hop. We sat at the bar, and the service was good, staff was friendly, and the appetizer fries were pretty good. I'll def be coming back, this place is my fav for a laid back bar. Also, PARKING is $10 right around the block, they only accept CASH like most parking places, but ATM's are everywhere on Hollywood Blvd so you won't have trouble looking for one. Although, they charged me $4 to use the ATM so try to have cash before coming anywhere in LA. Only reason I'm giving this place 4 stars, is because I wish it had more life to it, with louder music (again it might be, because I was there on a Tuesday) and also because, I used the women's restroom, and someone was able to somehow open my door, even though, another person prior was trying to open my door, and couldn't open, because I locked it! Soooo idk if the doorknobs/locks are messed up?? I told you I'd be back! This time I came with the boyfriend and a friend to get our drink on! We chose to sit at the bar this time, which was really empty. But then again, it was barely 7pm on a Friday night. Things didn't pick up until later. We got the 5 beers for $15 bucket, again. This time sans the free shot. I am kind of glad we didn't get it though, because the bartender (Cosmo) was a heck of a bar tender. And by heck of a bartender, I mean it. Let me give you a run down of my night: - 2 pear ciders from the bucket. - Buy 1 get 1 Apple Martinis ($8) - so 2 of those bad boys - Some sips from both of my boyfriends Long Island Ice Teas. It doesn't really sound like much (does it?!) but the drinks were huge and so beyond alcoholic. By 9pm I had crashed out and decided to take a nap at In N Out. Apparently it took my boyfriend and friend an hour to get me to move. By move...I mean I had to be carried home (uphill, fml). Some fat girl made a comment, "OMG it's NOT EVEN 10PM yet!" . . . .bitch, that's why I'm being carried home by my boyfriend, and you and your fat little tubby bitch friend are single, dressed like whores, and walking to In N Out to stuff your fat little double chinned faces. I lost my dignity by throwing up in a few bushes, and falling into a few more. I'm pretty sure I can't show my face at In N Out for at LEAST a week. Apparently my boyfriend almost got into a fight defending me. And I was literally carried the last block to the house. Where I promptly passed out. Oh, and all of this for $23! (plus tip). *(IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD)* 12/15/24 around 4:30pm went to get some drinks and hookah and we sat around waiting for both the waitress and the hookah attendant for around 30 mins until I had to flag down the doorman in the denim jacket and ask him if they had anybody working this place. Finally he found the hookah attendant who was at the bar having a conversation with other individuals. We got our hookah and the attendant didn't even give us the utensils for the hookah coals. When I went to ask for the utensils the hookah attendant was nowhere to be found. After 40 mins the waitress finally showed up just to drop off only one drink when she was told to make two of them by the doorman who took our order because she was nowhere to be found. On top of that when she delivered both the drinks she was on the phone using her airpod's in both ears the whole time talking to her friends while she delivered our drinks lmao. Like go home if you want to hangout and talk to your friends, don't do it at work hunny. Also she never checked up on us when we got our drinks to see if we wanted another. This place is absolutely terrible for service. Go to tekila next door, definitely way better! If the guy with long hair in a denim jacket tries to talk to you, hes from this establishment, just walk past him and walk into tekila. read more

I am from Washington, DC and came to LA just to visit. I went to Secret Bar & Grill on a Thursday, 9.10.20 and had a TERRIBLE experience. NO ONE WAS SOCIAL DISTANCING, THE FEMALE BATHROOM LOOK LIKE IT HASN'T BEEN CLEANED IN HOURS, it was just disgusting ! Although I was able to get seated quickly, the service once I was seated was ridiculous. The server was nice, but he was the ONLY server and focused his attention more on the large party in the back instead of checking in on the smaller table first! That would've made MORE sense. Only was able to get ONE drink since it was taking him so long to come back to check on our table. Then the guy doing hookah took way too long to bring us a refill when we asked 4x. I attend A LOT of hookah bars and never experienced such terrible service. They had a lot of bussers, but no servers. GET IT TOGETHER! read more

It sits in front of a historical landmark Janes Place. We were greeted in the front by the cool looking hostess. The seating is outside right now which is great! You can also do hookah while you're eating which many people do. If you do not like smoke it is ok because the social distancing is offered! They smaller menu but it gives much variety. I choose the Greek salad this time while everyone else had.. steak, pita bread, Mac cheese and a burger. I also tried the tequila sunrise which was delish! This is a great place to go with a few friends. We went for lunch so I am sure it's more jumping at dinner time! A do recommend this place for something different and off the beaten track! read more

They also have an outside patio in the public alley way with a tv projector and plenty heat lamps. Crowd is definitely hollywood crowd, diverse mix crowd. Hookahing is okay there, its just patio furniture, and then they place a medium/small size hookah on the table with one tube -_- How do you share with one tube? Waitress was really nice. However, its one of those places where you'd probably want to be pushy about a table. If you see one open, you can just slide yourself in after since I don't think they really honor your seniority of rsvp there. $6 patron shots! Music is random but all energetic?
