    Chicken tenders meal
    Raven R.

Came here for dinner before an event. The place has a club vibe with music blasting and a bar area. Our Server was nice and answered all our questions but the tables weren't the cleanest. We ordered the drumstick meal and chicken tenders meal. It did take awhile for the food to come out since it was a busy night. Drumstick Meal- The drumsticks were a decent size. It had a crispy interior while staying juicy inside. Fries were hot and crisp. Chicken Tenders Meal- This one was disappointing. It had a tough/hard texture and the meat was dry. We ended up not finishing it. Fries were good though. Decent experience but improvements can be made.

The customer service is seriously lacking and it wasn't that busy... could be its way to loud in there so they can't hear and end up making mistakes.. music is good but way to loud... greens not good 0/5 Mac & Cheese 3/5 Potato Salad 3.5/5 Chicken 3.5/5 Fish 3/5 Shrimp 3.5/5 Chaka Khan drink 4/5. If ever at the Pantages again i might try again..

Mehhh... I went this weekend for a birthday celebration. Only 3 tables were occupied as I approached the door. A sign said wait so I did. No acknowledgement, not even from the man posted against the wall. His head was down & glued to his phone. Found out later he was security. What a waste! I finally got summoned to wait at the counter. Sis had reservations, but it seems the ladies couldn't find her name. This was another 10+ minutes wait with no explanation or anything. Again, about 3 tables were occupied and a few customers were at the bar. Music was so loud, you can't think straight. Or hear a conversation from the person next to you. Great sound system and GREAT dj though! We finally got seated at a booth. The table was way too short for both end people to reach. I had to sit on the edge of the seat, like a baby, to reach the table. Another 15+ minutes passed before the server came over to offer water and take orders. I ordered the catfish over dirty rice w/ sauce. Catfish was fried to perfection. The fish itself, lacked seasoning but was cool since I used hot sauce. Rice was unbelievably salty, almost inedible. I pray this was accidental to my meal. Lord knows this is a heart attack on a plate!! I mixed until my rice almost turned mushy just to prevent returning my food (which I HATE doing). I also scooped out the ground meat (not sure what it was) and most of the sausage b:c I don't eat either and wasn't aware it was in the rice. Arrgghh! The rest of my family ordered wings & waffles. None of them liked the waffles and said the chicken was just okay. So much that they kept dipping into my salty bowl of food. Lol We saw very little personality from the lady who sat us + took our order + served us. The only time she livened up is when everyone started line dancing around the tables. Pros: -They acknowledged the birthday ladies with a shot and birthday sign/song. -The dj was ahhhhh-mazing!! For a 45+ minute drive from the South Bay to Hollywood...not sure if I'll rush to return.

Harold's Children & Bar Hollywood, Blvd CA Food: Walking down Hollywood blvd we ran across this restaurant and decided to try them out. We ordered the fried chicken wings, collard greens, MAC & cheese and sweet potatoes. This soul food spot is the real deal. Note: They have a Suttle take on the collards greens, it took me a moment to figure it out however they use a bit of rosemary in them... Service: Awesome customer service. Friendly and courteous. Ambiance: Loved the decor especially the Big "A" chicken...

Told you. Plastic utensil set. lol

Try not to consider the sub par service, just rate the food. Ok, had catfish nuggets, and they were o.k. Enjoy them more when skin is removed, but not bad. Yams, good. Mac n cheese, good. The nuggets were too pricey for the small handfull you get on your plastic plate. Yes, the ambiance and interior is nice, and then you're presented with a plastic cup for water, plastic plate, and plastic utensils, and not even "good" plastic utensils. LOL. I may or may not return.

DO NOT COME HERE! Absolutely horrible service, prices, and food!!! to start the lady who was there today with a septum piercing serving was extremely unfriendly. Didn't check on us once. I had to get up multiple times to ask for basic things like napkins, straws, the check! She did not ask if we needed anything the entire time . The food was okay but what really set me off was that they took almost 45 min to bring out the food (we were the only ones in there btw) and when it finally came out my side of Mac was half cold and hot. I didn't bother complaining to our server since her attitude was already annoyed. Mind you she was unfriendly since the moment we walked in. The mild sauce or special sauce is nothing special it's like ketchup with an extra ingredient. we also got the six piece wings with a side. The side is literally a sauce container with greens. It's the most laughable side I've ever gotten in my entire life to the point where I laughed out loud in the restaurant when I saw it. i'm sorry, but if on your menu, you promote six wings and a side I'm expecting an actual side. Don't even bother putting it on there. It's joke. Also we ended up putting in an order of 8oz greens since the first one was in a sauce container .when the side finally came out we were all done with our meal. And guess what the greens had absolutely no flavor. What a waste of time and money. I wish I could give this place a negative 0. It's absolutely diabolical to spend 100 dollars in this restaurant.

10/10 come and feel like family as you eat some food that warms the heart and soul. This is real soul food. Coming back as much as I can. Anthony is the brains behind it, and he puts his heart in every single dish he makes. Anthony is a true artist. And his heart is so big

Came here on a late night place only had a few tables to cater to. We went here on an open mic night. Speakers were obnoxiously loud. Got a Catfish plate and a chicken plate. As well as a few drinks. Drinks were so good btw. Food came out quickly. Only had one waitress we asked for condiments a few times before eating. Food was just okay. To me the downfall was a few tables had a special menu that we didn't have on our table we noticed until after we ordered they had another menu that we wish we would've had earlier.

The food is great! I will definitely be back! The soul rolls did not disappoint! We got the oxtail version and the gravy they put in too was amazing! My first time here and I will be back! It's such a chill vibe conveniently located in the heart of Hollywood. Great music, with a dj on site for brunch.

I came to this establishment for my friend's birthday and it was a bit unorganized on the restaurants behalf . It appeared there was maybe a miscommunication with the servers about seating. I was apart of a party of 20 ppl and we were told we'd be sitting in the front yet we were placed in a room. The room was nicely set up, but the vibe wasn't what the birthday girl wanted. After about 40 mins they were able to accommodate us. Once we were seated , our server was attentive with drinks and ready to take orders. I ordered the large catfish nugget dinner with fries and a side of shrimp. The shrimp was really good and the catfish nuggets were just okayyy- wasn't enough fish in the nugget . They were fried hard, so that was important. The parking is scarce, but it's on Hollywood blvd so meter parking or in a structure . The music is good , but be prepared for the table next to you to be dancing round your plate .. lastly , they also have bottle service . It's a turnt up brunch for sure .

The wild mushroom tagliatelle was phenomenal the pasta was just right and oh those delicate but powerful herbs, divine! The Japanese sweet potatos were so tender, the sauce that was one them was so yummy, I loved it. The steak & frites were scrumptious, steak was perfectly medium rare and fries were classic. The charcuterie board was so good we got the 3 cheese and 2 meats, everyone enjoyed it. With dishes from Shirley Brasserie available all day, it's the perfect spot to enjoy everything from light bites to seasonal plates, surrounded by the warmth of the historic fireplace and the charm of this iconic setting." -- from The Roosevelt Hotel's website. Shirley Brasserie, the restaurant referred to above, is also located in The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel (located next to The Lobby). The "iconic" they refer to is the fact that this hotel is historic -- it was built in 1926 during the Golden Era of Los Angeles architecture. It is named after Theodore Roosevelt. The first Academy Awards (Oscars) was held here in 1929. The hotel had its ups and downs since then but currently it looks beautiful and thriving. Take your out-of-state visiting friends/relatives to this place. Because this is a big part of "Hollywood". I recommend The Lobby to hang out after a long day's work or after a nice dinner nearby. This is where my sister and I went after our dinner at Musso and Frank. My sister ordered their Espresso Martini which was really good. I had a beer. Our server wasn't as warm as the ones during my visit in 2023. I think she was an introvert or a bit of a nervous person. But she did not seem potentially horrible. Restroom: I did not go to the restroom this time. I think there was a line. But I remember back in 2023 that you had to ask for a key or a code. Which is understandable for this area. Parking: I recommend the valet parking. If validated, the fee is really reasonable (I forgot how much they charged). We got ours validated because we ordered those drinks from The Lobby.

Even though this restaurant is a bar restaurant located in the Loews Hotel, the dishes are a lot more elevated and high-quality than I expected when compared to bar food. Food was actually very good. I didn't realize that food was Asian-Mexican fusion, but I have to say the mixture of flavors worked very well together. We ordered spicy tuna nigiri tacos, birria gyozas, skirt steak with Viet chimichurri sauce, ceviche, short-rib tacos, scallops with spicy hominy, and chai brownie for dessert. Every dish had great flavors and were seasoned very well. Steak was cooked perfectly and seafood quality tasted fresh. Hibiscus cocktail was also very tasty and refreshing. My only callouts were the chips for the ceviche were stale and the brownie was quite dry. Service was great. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive, checking on us constantly. Food pace was also well-timed and came out accordingly. The reason why I give this place a 4-star is because of the ambience. This bar restaurant is attached to the lobby and it can get very loud and rowdy with hotel guests sitting around. It would be better if the restaurant was separate from the lobby area to provide a more personal and less noisy dining experience. Also, the design could use some updating as it felt like eating in a restaurant located in a low-end casino. Ambience doesn't match the quality of the food.
