I love the communal style tables at this bar ! It makes it easy to start a conversation and make friends with other patrons organically . The bright colors along with my favorite beer , Stella, lifted up my spirits. I went on a Thursday evening and it had a good size crowd . I notice a stage to the left as you enter , which makes me assume they have live performances? . I'll have to go back and report back :)

We came to this place to have a drink before a concert. On a Saturday night around 4:30 PM. There was not a lot of traffic. I'm surprised that the place does not have a lot of traffic was pretty empty. Their bar is very beautiful. Inside feels like lounge vibes. Our friends ended up ordering the chicken burgers and french fries and while OMG there's so much seasoning there. I really appreciate the ranch at the Korean chili oil like side dipping so good! 10 out of 10 the food is so good here. I would like to come back and try the food. The menu says happy hours are 5 PM to 8 PM Monday through Friday. But they're a sign at the bar says Monday through Sunday 4 PM to 8 PM. Definitely recommend coming here! Also, I wonder where the chef has worked at before, The food was seasoned so well!

Olivia, the bartender, is incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The first time I visited Palm Pine, she was behind the bar and made the experience memorable right away. Now I find myself coming back specifically when she's working. If you stop by, definitely say hello, she's easily one of the best bartenders in Los Angeles!

Great TV views in this place

First thing to note, this bar does a lot of viewing parties for sports and reality tv gatherings and this was the reason for my attendance. So on that side, it's a great location with plenty of TVs and the sound is almost too good, but very loud. The drinks are average pricing for the area and the food/happy hour menu is pretty slim but expected. The food was taking a bit of time, but i believe this was because of how busy the place was for the viewing party. We had hour hour priced sandwiches and fries, not bad for what you got! If you are arriving here for a viewing event and want a seat, I'd suggest getting here in a good amount of time because they don't have a crazy amount of booths. Large place, but don't expect to walk in 15mins prior to something and grab a spot easily :)

I went here to watch the Pacers vs OKC while visiting LA. I loved the ambiance and aesthetic and it definitely felt like a more elevated sports bar. Service is bar only, so you have to go up anytime you want to order. The wings (all flavors) were some of the best I had. My husband felt like the burger was just ok (a bit too greasy). The chicken sandwhich was good, but I was probably too full from the wings to really enjoy. The only bad part of the experience were the fries. They were overcooked and SO greasy or maybe fried in old grease. Service was friendly AND THERE WERE PLENTY OF TVs to enjoy the game.

Love this spot! Always a good time, clutch happy hour and great people, NaBri is the best:)

First time coming here and would ABSOLUTELY come back! Came to watch Love Island and despite the busy crowd, the service was attentive and caring. The music was modern and upbeat. The drinks were affordable - they even had a Love Island themed menu! Definitely recommend if you want a fun vibe and good company :)

First time coming to this bar! Thank you Benjamin for the best margarita in LA! Will for sure be back!

This bar is super cute and the drinks are good. Definitely recommend coming here with your girls!

Drove out to experience the Love Island watch party only to get a watered down drink, inflated pricing, & horrible audio on the 2nd floor. I ordered a beer pitcher ($22) and a "Hot New Bombshell" ($15). My subtotal should've been $37 not $50. A gratuity charge when I ordered at the bar?? Subtotal was incorrect too.

Service was good, attentive, and quick. Ordered the tsukune buns, edamame, classic tonkatsu, and ban ban noodles which were all hits. Their yuzu highball is also spectacular, strong, but smooth. I don't know how they make it but it was so addictive I had to get another. Don't skip out on their desserts either. I tried the mango kaki-gori which was great, but the tokyo banana stole the show. This one star review is for "Nestor." The restaurant charges a 3% credit card processing fee, which was written on the receipt. Other reviews have mentioned this fee as well. Since there's a card processing fee, we paid with $50 cash for our $39 check. We asked for our change back. Nestor stated "we don't give change." We asked why couldn't we get our change back. If anything we would want our $50 back so that we can find some smaller bills within our party. Nestor immediately became defensive and started raising his voice. My. parents could hear him all the way across the restaurant. There was another table sitting near the cash register who witnessed the entire thing as well. Nestor said, "STOP TALKING. STOP TALKING. If you could just learn how to READ, it says that on the receipt." It does not say anywhere on the receipt regarding Tonchin not giving change back. We understand credit card processing fees, but if the customer pays in cash, and you don't have change, just say that you don't have change! Never been gaslit so hard by someone working in service before. If I want someone to keep the change, that should be my decision. This did NOT have to be a big deal. I have never had anyone scream in my face at a restaurant, telling me to learn how to read. Absolutely ridiculous. We ended up leaving $40 in cash and left the restaurant. We emailed info@tonchinla regarding what happened, received a call from Chris, and we explained what happened. All he said was that he wanted to "make it up to us." How, I don't know. If they can't properly educate their staff on their "cashless" policy as well as basic manners, we unfortunately won't be back. What a shame.
