    Chicken sandwich

My friends and I went here for lunch before seeing Phantom at the Pantages. None of us had been before. We all enjoyed our dishes. I had the special - al pastor sandwich with fries, one friend had the chicken sandwich with side salad, and I think the other had the steak sandwich with side salad. Portions are generous. The fries are well done and very good. We ordered a pitcher of sangria. Service was good. Would go back if in Hollywood. We parked at a private lot nearby.

Stopped by The Running Goose for a quick bite and it was such a good find. From the outside you could easily miss it, but once you walk in and head to the back patio, it's this cute outdoor space full of plants that gives total Italian vibe. We ordered two appetizers, the lamb chops and the calamari, and the portions were perfect. Filling but not too heavy, and honestly went really well with a beer and a glass of Chardonnay. Staff was attentive and really kind the whole time. Parking was available but limited. Definitely a spot I would go back to for dinner or even lunch.

A special place. We decided to spend a special occasion here. We were lucky Superbowl was taking place so less people out and about and restaurant was pretty empty. Got seated immediately and food came out in under 10 minutes. Once again staff is good and patient at explaining their menu. Customer service is good. Loved my steak and eggs. My bf loved his beet salad, two toastadas and fried calamari. If this is your first time or you haven't even tried it before you got to try their toastadas. We love this place and like telling people about it.

I stumbled upon this little gem of a restaurant that transmits you to Europe when you walk into the patio area. 10/10!!!!!! The service was excellent and I felt taken care of in my experience here. THE FOOD IS SOOOO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had the gambas, calamari, and bacalao as an appetizer and they were all really good. ESPECIALLY THE GAMBAS!!!! LITERALLY THE BEST IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. So simple but also soooo delicious -- please try it! Overall, if you're in Hollywood, come to Running Goose. It's now my favorite restaurant in LA !

Easy 5 stars. I'm honestly shocked this place exists. The Running Goose is global comfort food done at a level you don't expect walking in. Started with the grilled brie -- wow. No idea what magic was going on there but it was insane. Then the smoked potatoes... that sauce was unreal, like spoon-it-straight addictive. The gambas came out sizzling with garlic, sweet cherry tomatoes, and perfectly cooked shrimp -- and that dipping bread... unreal, soaking up every drop. Then the mains... short rib and duck. Both ridiculous. The short rib was fall-apart tender with a sauce so good I was literally eating it by the spoon. The duck? Same story -- crispy, juicy, balanced, just dialed in. And honestly, once the food starts hitting like that, you already get excited for dessert because you know you're leaving satisfied. We went with the bread pudding and the crème brûlée -- both exactly how you want to end a meal like this. Every single dish hit. No misses. Already planning my next visit to go through the entire menu.

The service is very nice and personable, but we didn't enjoy the food tremendously. Went here before the pantages matinee on Saturday. The baked : roasted Bree was very exciting as it was sizzling as it came to the table, but I really didn't enjoy either of the toast which was cracker consistency or the apricot jam.. the flavors were just not a good mix for me. The brie was totally melted and really there was not much flavor there. I had the wild boar hash and it really just tasted like regular pork. There was nothing spectacular about it although it was well done and the egg was good. My dining companion had the Chilaquiles. She remarked that it was more like a bowl than regular chilaquiles , which would have a lot more chips in it.

My friend and I came here for dinner before going to watch Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the Hollywood Pantages Theater. I can't begin to tell you how happy I am that we ended up here for dinner. Everything, and I do mean everything, was so freaking delicious! The baked brie had that quintessential velvety texture while the apricot compote worked well to enhance and complement the flavors. The smoked beet quesadilla was described as cactus tortillas filled with queso, parm, and beets, topped with radishes and pepitas, and laid on a bed of basil crema - intriguing to say the least. And let me tell you, the dish was fantastic! The smoked beets were perfectly tender and paired well with the cheese and basil crema. And of course I can't live without spice so I added their housemade habanero sauce as a finishing touch. Overall, the food was excellent, the service was first-class, and the patio decor and ambiance made a splendid backdrop for our night out. What else could you ask for? ;) ****************** My Ratings: 1 Star: Terrible; just thinking about it makes me angry. 2 Stars: Wasn't a fan so Not likely to return. 3 Stars: Meh. Average. Might return if others drag me. 4 Stars: Yum! Likely to return. 5 Stars: Amazing! Would plan my day around it.

Time goes by and we are so happy to see Running Goose stand the ground, despite fierce competition, skyrocketing rents and economic slowdown. We visited in 2025 and it was as good as back in 2021. The shrimp gambas is still my absolute favorite. The steak and frites was great. Roasted veggies were extraordinary, perfect recepie. Wrapped up in light strings and covered with trees cozy veranda is very romantic. The service has always been friendly and attentive.

We made an early reservation at Running Goose in advance of a show at the Pantages. So happy to have found this place! The heated covered patio was so cute and garden-like. Our meals were excellent- we really enjoyed the carrot starter, and I loved my Vegan vindaloo. Wonderful, attentive service and we made it to our show with plenty of time to spare.

And it happened again: a wonderful dinner (b4 Wicked) with well curated dishes in a trendy environment in midst of Hollywood boulevard and nonetheless secluded from the masses. And every single dish was on point and presented by the owner family with attention/love. Baked Brie, duck, carrot tostada, beet quesadillas, game lettuce etc all without exception were outstanding! PREVIOUS REVIEW A gem just off Hollywood Blvd. Looking for a dinner place before hitting the Pantages Theatre, the Running Goose was a perfect choice. It turned out that the valet parking proved to be a whole evening bargain compared to area-prizes otherwise. Most importantly, however, the place was very cute, the staff knowledgeable and attentive, and the food just perfect. Light, fresh, tasty and excellent to share.

If you're like me and you have a list of restaurants, you want to try I pray they don't disappoint me. Holbox DELIVERED! My cousin said she loved the place and she is less picking of me so I was like OK. There is a baseline which means it's gotta be at least good. I'm not gonna lie. I eat a lot so I tend to be a bit more critical if I actually love the quality of a place. Everything here hit it was so fresh! Highlights for me included the scallop taco, the Uni by itself, the tuna ceviche. In truth, you really can't go wrong. The guy that was telling me what to order said that and I was shocked, but he's right anything you order will be amazing. I also love that there is the bar seating so you can watch them prep everything or you can always order and then bring it to any of the communal table areas. PS. Beware of how spicy all the sauces are.

Didn't care much for the rice/beans but not bad. Comes with blue corn tortillas, but honestly the octopus and almond sauce (think b*tchin' sauce) were delicious. Great cherry tomato pico de gallo. Scallop aguachile - wowwww the scallops were so fresh, literally bursting is my mouth. They were sweet, tender, and perfectly paired with the tangy lime sauce. Taco de pulpo - ok so this is pretty much an assembled pulpo à la brasas, BUT I will say the full meal was more tender because it was an entire grilled piece of grilled vs one tentacle. If with a group, def recommend getting the entree to split vs individual tacos. Smoked kanoachi tostado - delicioussssss the smoked kanoachi (amberjack) was the perfect glue for the ceviche. Another banger. I was at capacity at this point, but the only change I'd make is swapping the taco de pulpo for the ahi tostado. So really, Holbox did everything right, and was so good it's gaslighting me into how I could have ordered more strategically. I arrived around 3:45pm on a Sunday, and the line wrapped around the corner. Bar seats are FCFS, so use that information wisely...and you may get seated immediately :P

Now when you pull up originally you might think, "am I in the right place" but once you park and get into the courtyard, it is LOVELY! Amazing ambience! There is a bocce set up, string lights. It is a little slice of oasis in the middle of the fashion district. The restaurant itself - beautiful. I couldn't ask for more. Absolutely perfect in my book. Beautiful plants hanging, perfect Spanish music in the background (any place playing Natalia LaFourcade is a win). The drinks were great! I had the jungle bird which was fun. Food was so good too. The whipped beans are the star! We had the guacamole which was tasty, great tostadas with it. The arepas were good but the pork belly was a little too fatty (I know pork belly is always fatty) to the point the fat muted the flavored for the arepa a bit, but still delicious. The empanadas were great and as someone who lived in South America and ate empanadas every day, these really took me back to my Paraguay days. The squash blossoms were light and perfectly fried. Unfortunately my friends had gone to Funke the night before so they were comparing the squash blossoms and Funke won out, but they still liked Dama's! Small plates were enough for the 3 of us. One dish that doesn't work for me is the lamb chops, which is a shame since it's my favorite protein. I've ordered them multiple times with clear instructions on temperature and have found them overcooked and tough. The beef tostada was just ok. Whilst I loved the pickled veg on the side, the beef was underseasoned. It wasn't bad - just not up to the standard of other dishes. The table next to us ordered the fried fish...as full as I was...I wanted to taste that fish. La Finda Antioquena, thank you for a great experience. We will recommend this place and WE WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

The woman (Sandra) who came up to our table was to ask us to move to a smaller table. Mind you we sat there so we could watch the World Cup game as we waited and ate. She was so rude about it!!! Then the waiter to finally came to take our order was also rude. Didn't greet us, they lack manners. I liked one of the empanadas but they have a different name, other than that their food was bland tasteless. I came here with a Colombian friend who wanted to try Colombian food in LA she liked her plate but it was the most simple thing you could order, steak rice and beans. Would never go back here ever... oh also the place was filthy they should keep their tables and floors clean come on.

Nice first visit for me and an old friend of mine Sheri. Sheri is a meat and potatoes, kind of gal…read moreand so this place fit the bill. We both had the ribeye steak, Sheri had to Costillo and I had the Gaucho. We both loved our steak as they were both tender and flavorful. For the Gaucho, I really enjoyed the Anaheim pepper and other accoutrements and we'll get this the next time as well. The meal includes two sides. We both had mashed potatoes and I had a salad and she had asparagus. We had a server in training who was very attentive as well as the supervising server. We sat in the patio, which was nice. There was plenty of room very nice ambience. Relatively easy street parking. It was a nice visit for both of us. We will be back for sure.

LALAs had us fooled at first bite and the service quickly followed…read more.. The very first thing our server asked wasn't what we wanted to drink or if we'd ever been there before--it was, "Are you guys here to watch the game?" We immediately told him, "No, we're here for the food." Looking back, that should've been the first warning sign. They brought out fresh bread with chimichurri, and honestly, it was delicious. It got us excited because we thought- maybe this place really did deserve the hype. That excitement lasted about five minutes. We asked our server what everyone comes here for, and without hesitation he said the skirt steak. Since we wanted to try their specialty- meats, we ordered the Plato Mixto, one of their premium platters. It came with skirt steak, New York steak, Argentine "Italian" sausage, half a chicken, and sweetbreads. It's already one of the most expensive items on the menu, yet they still upcharge an extra $4 per side, if you want one of the "premium" sides. At that price, you'd expect everything to be included and quality to be exceptional. For the sides, we chose the grilled veggies, which the server said included eggplant, zucchini, tomato, onions, mushrooms - basic veggie mix and LALAs Potatoes, described as "Mashed Potatoes & Carrots." We figured that meant mashed potatoes served with carrots, or maybe mashed potatoes with pieces of carrot mixed in. Instead, it was one orange puree--mashed potatoes blended together with carrots. No flavor. If that's what you're serving, just describe it that way. The menu there was very misleading. Then came the sweetbreads. We had to ask our server twice what they actually were because he couldn't explain it clearly. Eventually he described them as "lymph nodes." Whether that's technically accurate or not, that's probably not what anyone expects to hear after taking a bite. Then we actually started eating. The Argentine sausage had a strange, almost spoiled flavor. When we mentioned it, instead of acknowledging our concern, our server doubled down and told us it was supposed to taste "rancid." I've eaten authentic Argentine food before. This wasn't it. It tasted like bad meat. The steaks were no better. We ordered medium rare, but the skirt steak was practically purple raw in the middle. Beyond that, both steaks were unbelievably tough. Every bite was a workout. For a restaurant that's supposed to specialize in grilled meats, that's inexcusable. Very low quality red meat. The chicken didn't save the meal either. I've had incredible pollo a la brasa and grilled chicken from plenty of places. This wasn't even close. It was bland, dry, and completely forgettable. When our server came back and asked how everything was, we were honest. We told him we really weren't enjoying the food. Instead of apologizing, offering another option, or trying to make things right, he doubled down again. "That's my favorite thing on the menu." Okay...and? Then he told us to squeeze a bunch of lemon over everything and brought us what felt like half a bottle of Tabasco. Think about that for a second. If the solution to your signature meats is to drown them in lemon and hot sauce just to make them edible, that's not a customer problem--that's a kitchen problem. By that point, it all clicked. The first thing he cared about was whether we were there to watch the game. We told him we came for the food, but the entire experience felt like the food was an afterthought. The service wasn't interested in listening to our concerns, only defending them. This place may be great if you're looking for drinks, sports on TV, and somewhere to hang out. But if you're coming because you've heard this is the place for authentic Argentine meats, prepare to be disappointed. The meats were tough. The sausage tasted off. The menu descriptions were misleading. The service felt more like a used car salesman trying to convince us our experience was wrong than someone who genuinely cared whether we enjoyed our meal. I don't write reviews to tear places down. I write them to help other people spend their money wisely. In this case...save yours. There's far better places to try authentic Argentine cuisine, this is not it, would not return.

I ordered the quarter chicken with rice and salad, and I was really impressed with the portion sizes. Everything was flavorful, comforting, and gave me the kind of authentic Latin food vibes that I love. The sauce was definitely the highlight for me--it was so good that I found myself adding it to every bite. The prices are also fantastic. For the quality and quantity of food you get, this place is truly a gem. That said, there were a couple of downsides. The restaurant itself is very small, with limited seating available. The customer service also wasn't the best during my visit. Since the dining area was completely full when we arrived, we decided to place our order to go. While we were waiting for our food, a table opened up, so we asked if we could sit down and eat there instead. We were told that because we had ordered our food to go, we were not allowed to sit in the restaurant. I found that a bit disappointing, especially since we had already paid for the same food as everyone else dining in. Overall, the food was excellent and definitely the reason I would come back. If I'm in the area and craving their chicken, I'd absolutely return--just with different expectations regarding the seating situation and service.

I've had better Lomo saltado elsewhere though. - Tallarin Verde con Bisteck Frito: The pesto pasta was creamy, had good pesto flavor, and the noodles were cooked decently. However, I was a bit disappointed with the steak which was tough and didn't really give that "fried" feel. - Jalea de Pescado con Mariscos: Favorite dish of the night. I liked the variety of all the fried seafood and yucca. The fried shrimp was good and it was even enjoyable to eat the tail. I especially loved the fish which was flavorful and maintained its moistness despite being fried. Topped with fresh onions and crunchy bits, it was a great combo. The staff here were also really nice! There's limited parking in the plaza, but there's some neighborhood street parking nearby.
