First time here and I had good experience. This is a cute open bar, garden style with a cozy atmosphere. The weather was little cold but they have heaters and we were comfortable. I really liked their drinks, the margarita was My girlfriend celebrated her birthday here and there was plenty of room for all the guests. The energy was good and at 11 the DJ showed up and the party started. Downside, it's downtown and we came across many homeless people, and parking can be tricky. I would say that if you don't know where is at, you can literally walk be and miss it! Most of the guests had the same experience. Over ya good spot for a good time!

My husband and I were invited to a social at SoHo Garden, and we had such a good time! The drinks were great, and the ambiance was both inviting and comfortable. I especially loved the greenery and floral atmosphere--it gave the space a fresh, vibrant vibe that made it feel like a little escape right in the city. The music set the tone perfectly without being too overpowering, and the staff made sure we were taken care of the whole night. It felt like the kind of place where you can dress up a little, relax with friends, and just enjoy the energy of the evening. The only thing that could make it even better would be having some light snacks or small bites available to go with the drinks. Definitely somewhere I'd come back to for another night out, whether for a social or just to grab drinks in a beautiful setting.

Beautiful garden vibes with cozy fires and heaters at night plus lively party beats. The cocktails are a bit on the pricier side, but they're delicious and elegantly crafted. Only a 17% gratuity is automatically added to your bill and you don't get a receipt or option to add more, so that balanced the base price of the drinks compared to the total you'd see with a typical tip. Service was friendly and fast. It's right outside a shared food court style space so you can buy food there and bring it out if you'd like.

Cool ambience outside and good drinks. The price was a little high though but they do have happy hour (which we missed)

Really cute bar in the back of Bravery Chef Hall. Only downside is it is entirely outdoors - which isn't optimal in hot humid Houston weather. The only part that is indoors is the bar where you order. But there's no bar seating so it's just for ordering, not sitting. They had a happy hour menu from 4 to 7. I was pretty happy with my $9 French 75 - tasty and reasonably strong. You can also order food in Bravery and bring it out here to eat. Service was ok - there was only one bartender so it was a little slow.

Soho Garden is a fun little patio bar in a pretty packed area of downtown. Perfect place to pop into for another drink while out bar hopping. We got there after 12 so there was no food. Music was loud but not too loud and there are plenty of seating options. It was a cold night but they had patio heaters everywhere. They have some nice photo worthy back drops for that perfect Instagram/ Yelp photo too. We only had beers so I can't speak to the mixed drinks. I will say the bartenders make little to no conversation and seem to not care at all. Other than that, I'd say it's definitely worth stopping by when in the area.

This venue was so beautiful and intimate. We came here for a wedding and I was really impressed. You can really make this place into whatever vision you have. Will definitely keep in mind for a party.

We ran into this place downtown as we were bar hopping. It's such an esthetically cute trending outdoor patio bar. The music is nice, fun and up beat tempo. The seating is comfortable, and they have outdoor fire pits and heating to keep you warm for the cold weather. There's no food but if you are coming for drinks that are reasonable, this is a good place to stop by on a weekend night.

Cute place that we stumbled upon when trying to get some food. This is outside the food court area but was honestly the best part. The bartender was fun & chatty while making our drinks & making recommendations of where is good to eat inside. The drink were nice, a little pricey but you expect it when the area looks like this. The even had a cool photo op area with a backdrop and everything. Would be great to visit when it's not as hot or as the sun is setting.

Even this time the GPS took us to an entrance that had us going the wrong way down a one-way, but we eventually figured it out I will say that the parking isn't all that great, but we were able to find a spot. If the parking lot is full you should be able to find street parking nearby Kanpai Club is a sister location to Handos. They share a kitchen and you can walk through an inside door access either. You can find the same cocktails and bites from Handos on the Kanpai menu, but there's also additional drinks and bites The bar feels like a Japanese Izakaya. It's a narrow space resembling a Japanese outdoor bar. It's intimately lit and well decorated. We did have to wait for two spots to open up, but that didn't take too long The bartenders were friendly, professional, and efficient. We went on a Friday night (fairly late), and they had two dedicated bartenders The cocktails were fun and were beautifully crafted. Most were served in novelty glassware. You can order classic cocktails, but both Kanpai and Hando offer a variety of signature cocktails. Most having some sort of Japanese or Asian fusion. They have beer, wine, and extensive sake list, as well as green tea and other nonalcoholic options The cocktails were tasty. The only one I was iffy on was their Espresso martini. It was poured from a machine and I guess there were having issues with it. The presentation was phenomenal. There was a roasted marshmallow garnish. The drink itself was far too Smokey in flavor than I like, or at least in terms of my espresso martinis The Yuzu Kosho fries were incredible. The flavors really hit the spot. The Okinawa Potato salad was both questionable to looks and and to eat lol. This purple mound of potato's had an interesting taste, look, and consistency. It wasn't bad, just... interesting and new Some tips: If you can't find this spot from the street, look for Handos. It's part of this restaurant Ask the bartender about the happy hour menu. And most nights they're open until 12am, but on Fridays and Saturdays they are open until 2am If you order food online (technically from Hando's) you can get 10% off using code: HANDO10. This is part of their "Hando and Chill" special Cheers!!

This location is casual and has plenty of seating (tables, bar + outdoor seating). You order at the counter and typically wait around 20 minutes for the pizza to be ready. It can definitely get busy which makes parking a bit tricky, but I've always managed to get parking in the lot. My go-to is the fancy backpacker. I've only tried the Pepperoni Madness and Fancy Backpacker. The crust is perfectly thin and the toppings pair well together. I would also recommend adding pepperoni to the Fancy Backpacker. Gypsy Poet is always consistent with the taste and service, you can always expect a good experience in both aspects. I think it definitely lives up to the title of having the best pizza in Houston and is one of my favorite go-to dinner spots!

Similar but also different feels in the heights. Our group made a pickup order online and it was still a bit of a wait when we got there. (Place was packed though, lots of families out on a Saturday night so totally get it) The pizza here is always impressive and one of the better options in Houston imo (limited choices though haha), fresh ingredients like basil in every box is a good value add.. the hot honey on top is a must for me and complement pretty much all their pizzas. My friend ordered 4 kinds and also added an order a dessert pizza (Nutella) and it was dangerously good.. They also got a good selection of drinks from wine to brews to non-alcoholic options. They do have a small patio, seating is limited as previously mentioned. It's counter service; Parking lot is a bit tight and it's in the heights so definitely a caution. Overall, I'd say it's a good pizza joint but definitely need to factor in the wait, the parking and costs before you go.

It's located right at 19th St. and Shepherd near the light. There's a small angled parking lot that can be tight when people park along the fence. It looks like a cute tiny A-frame home with a few patio tables in the front. The inner area has about 6-7 high tables. It's nice and clean inside. The vibe feels similar to H-Town Brewing Co. but on a smaller scale. You can also sit at the bar. I didn't really like the high tables/chairs. They're not as comfortable. It was hot out, and there are mosquitos, so we sat inside. I ordered the salmon plate for steak night. The drinks here are ok, and since I don't really drink, I was looking for mocktail options. In this era, most places have mocktail options with brand alternatives like Ritual, Seedlip and Lyre's or at the least, something with juice, Topo Chico and simple syrup. The female bartender made me a NA margarita which was great. I liked that she didn't make it too sweet or too tart which happens with mocktails that don't have alternatives and are mostly juice or lemon. On the other hand, when I ordered a second, the guy bartender made it too sweet. I didn't like his version. For the alcoholic versions, they seem to have good cocktails, wine, beer and flights. They also have daily specials. Aside from the steak night, they don't serve food here. It wouldn't be my first choice of bars in this area.
