So this is a five star experience. But it isn't yet perfect. Just really fantastic. The location, the decor, the food, the beach are all world class. The service is a work in progress with some hot or miss. The small footprint makes a prime pool/beach chair tricky. But seriously it's a work around with a little cash thrown at the problem. Love the preferred amenities. And that view- I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

Came here in May for a weeklong stay. I spent 3 days in a regular room and then upgraded to the preferred club for the last 4 days. The upgrade is well worth doing! We went up by 7 floors and had access to the preferred lounge (snacks throughout the day), premium drinks, a 25min sample massage (did scalp and foot) for 2, amongst many other perks. Access to the pool on 12th as well as the Olio restaurant for breakfast and lunch were also great perks of the preferred club. We enjoyed the Italian restaurant (Nebbiolo) most for dinner. Sea salt grill was the fave for lunch. Their buffet is also quite solid. Service was super warm and friendly! The e-team was great - especially Charly, Eduardo, Itzel, Aisha, and Jonathon. Fave shows were the tropical night (Sun night) and boy band (Mon night). The live music in different areas is a super nice touch. Went to the spa for 2 deep tissue massages and the hydrotherapy during my time here - definitely recommend! The hydrotherapy circuit is shorter than some of the other Secrets resorts. They have complimentary wine tastings 1-2 times a day and some paid ones as well. Would highly recommend checking out the complimentary one first and then paying the $35 for the upgrade if you like - I did the Mexican one and it was fantastic. Tried 5 wines from Baja CA / Mexico and then had some savory bites along with the wines, and then some Mexican candies along with the wines to learn about how the flavors changed with different pairings. Their photographer on site, Laura, is wonderful. I booked a complimentary 30min shoot and ended up purchasing a few pics ($35 each if you buy less than 10, then lower cost per pic if you buy more). Housekeeping was solid.

We had a great stay at secrets the vine Cancún in early December! Staff was kind and helpful, resort was clean and well maintained. Activities staff was great- wish the schedule was better communicated as the app was often wrong. Wait times for restaurants could be better- and the app was unreliable for telling you when your table was ready. Staff was often upselling wine to get you a table- pushy and frustrating. Resort needs more pool and beach chairs for the number of guests- real estate was often claimed by 8am by belongings with no people. Still a great stay for a very reasonable price. Espresso martini and soft pretzel every afternoon was a highlight.

Hotel room: 4/5 Environment: 3.5/5 Hotel amenities 3.5/5 Restaurants: 4/5 Value: 3.5/5 Hotel overall: 3.5/5 Overall, I would rate this closer to 3.5-3.7 so I am ranging from 3-4 star. Hotel overall is clean and the restaurants are a lot better than many other resorts I have been to in the Caribbean. The rooms are a very decent size while sometimes, if someone orders room service you can hear the cart rolling throughout the hallways. I think the biggest thing that takes away from it being a good 4 star is the fact that it is indeed a smaller resort. While, you should know this prior to going as well as to many vlogs and information on the net, it is still surprising when you can finish exploring said resort in an hour or two. Services were pretty good overall, and activities can be potentially lacking as there are shows....but more like mini concerts and activities around the Lobby area as opposed to a massive display with acrobatics or singing at a main stage. Overall, a good experience, but probably not a resort I would go back to. Please take my review with a grain of salt as I am not a full resort person and my personal opinion could be skewed. For a couple I think this would be a relatively nice getaway. For a group of friends, I think there are better.

This is a picture of room service we ordered after an hour after we woke up to have something to eat we found all ants all over our food. Very disappointed I advised the manager he said that's basically what happens after an hour or so of food,.. I gave them the benefit of about to make this right and he refused..... over all horrible food very disappointed will never return to this resort. Save your money go elsewhere.

Secrets The Vine was a really great experience. The property is very clean and maintained well. The check-in process was easy and no one tried to sell us a time share!!! We upgraded to the junior suite and it was really big for the value. It had a massive balcony with a view to the left of the lagoon and to the right to the ocean. The only sad part about the view is looking straight out was another hotel. We were there in August so it was a little hot to hang out on the balcony. The resort is all inclusive and the food was really good. It is worth staying on property to eat. We did walk to our favorite restaurant which was perfectly located across the street and the hotel is in a great location in the hotel zone. The property felt very secure and safe. The drinks from the bar were really good as well except the Neon Lemonade...not a fan LOL. The buffet is really good except for the Fish Stew but mostly for the strong aroma while getting your food. I highly suggest this property.

Came here for my 55th birthday and it was well worth the trip! Had an awesome time here. They have numerous restaurants that are included in the all inclusive rate and the food choices are expansive and delicious. The room was spacious and beautiful with an awesome view of the ocean. They placed a birthday sash on my door and placed a lovely dessert in the room. Went to the spa and had a great massage which was preceded by a hydro therapy session. Highly recommend this adults only spot if you plan on visiting Cancun.

The ops manager /GM whoever runs this business should have a talk with him. Idk if it was because I'm Mexican but it definitely felt personal. He was rude and tried to leverage his power to dismiss providing us service. Never apologized for him and his team not providing us the room and upgrade we had asked for. If it wasn't for the GM or whoever the hell he was it would be better. Outside that hiccup and them messing up our room it's been a great experience. Resort is beautiful and food is great. The Asian spot is delicious. The steak house was amaizng as well sea salt was great for mariscos and fish. Haven't tried the Italian or olio the Mediterranean. I will definitely provide an update.

    Inside

Just got back from our stay for our honeymoon at Secrets The Vine, that was from a Tuesday to Sunday from April 28 to May 3. This place was INCREDIBLE! I have nothing but good things to say about this place for a all inclusive, ADULTS ONLY resort. The resort it self was clean, modern and flawless. The service and people working there was top notch, everyone made us feel like royalty. The food was so good, obviously some spots weren't perfect but 90% of the time we LOVED what we ate. Was full inclusive so we ate a ton and drank a lot! The pools were beautiful and lots of options having 4. From Tuesday to Thursday it was so easy to get a spot at the pool or beach, would show up at 11am and find a two chairs and umbrella no problem. Friday/Saturday it was a bit harder since it's the weekend so the pool area was packed by 1pm but went to the beach and again found two spots with umbrella no problem. Beach was solid for hotel zone, this area of Cancun is known for having bad seaweed but the resort did its best to keep it cleaned up. Was able to get in the water some days and not see the seaweed everywhere. We did a preferred booking so got room on a higher floor, exclusive quick check in, access to roof top pool and restaurant. So if you don't care about those things just do a regular room but the upstairs pool was incredible. This place is definitely a relaxing resort, not a ton to do at night but that's what we wanted for our honeymoon. Pool can be somewhat lively during the day with music, and performances but at night it's just casual bars, restaurants and what not. Everything dies down before 12. Did a spa day too and it was great, had a couples massage, full body scrub, and hydrotherapy circuit for two that costs $398. I recommend booking it when you arrive as they may have deals. It was a great experience overall, we would for sure come back 100%!!! Every single worker there was so nice and helpful. Did not have a single bad experience with anyone that worked there.

Came here over the 4th July weekend and had a blast. This was my first time at this Secrets, as I have been to the other located in Puerto Vallarta and this was definitely a much better location. I have traveled to Cancun over the years and this resort is in that top notch of preference each time I do decide to go back. Our waiter Adrian was the best. Each morning for breakfast we would as for him and he would always have that same section reserved for us. The pools were fabulous you just have the be there very early to reserve a spot like all other resort where the perfect spot has to be close to the pool. The food was great from the first day we arrived and I must say the seafood by the pool was tasty. Seafood included Jumbo shrimp, grilled Octopus, and my favorite grilled mussels. (Yummy) As for our room, we were placed on the 18th floor with an Oceanview and a pool view. Room was very spacious and clean. Had no issue with the plumbing or any issue that would have made me reduce my ratings. But that evening sunset took my breath away as you can see in the pics that are here. Overall, I will suggest staying here, but the one item that still bothers me even when in Puerto Vallarta, was the massive amount of seaweed on the beach. Mexico needs to do a better job of curbing this. I do know what causing all this and they do too, but have done nothing to curtail the growth of this yearly issue. Semper Fi.............."No one gets left behind"

Arturo is awesome! he took care of us at the pool today and we always had a cold drink and a yummy snack! Great service!

We were very bit happy with our stay. Great entertainment, great service, and great food and drinks. Arturo was our favorite waiter at the pool. He deserves a raise!

It was our first time in Mexico and we decided to choose adults only all inclusive hotel for my birthday and Secrets on the Vine looked perfect for us. Rooms were very new and spacious. We took deluxe king room with the sea view and the room didn't disappoint. However no privacy at the balcony is kind of an issue. You see your neighbors so you can't enjoy it so much. I loved amount of pools at this hotel. The food is available all the time at the lobby bar and beach bar during the day. I loved that there were a lot of seats, sofas, lounges to hang out at. Beach is right at the footsteps, it's so convenient however beach was not cleaned. There were a lot of seaweed in the water that irritated my skin because with strong waves it hits you everywhere. Gym was amazing, the views are very gorgeous, however didn't had air-conditioning and it was very difficult to do cardio. I end up doing pilates because it was too hot inside. Loved evening musicians at the lobby, piano players, guitar or just a simple jazz was very relaxing and it was every evening. Also later in the night was a lot of singers, some were very good some were OK. But it was always entertaining. We managed to see the turtles in the evening. They came on shore to lay there eggs and security of the hotel were guarding them so tourists wouldn't scare them. Some people were very rude they turned on flashlights trying to film/take a pic of the turtles and try to come from other side of the beach to come close to them. Please respect the nature and take the photos from the far without a flashlight! Food was ok, however portions were small in the restaurants. And sometimes I felt that food would be soggy and lack of texture that is specially at the buffet and lobby bar food & desserts. Also every restaurant "catch of the day" was branzino. Since I love fish and menus wasn't so big I was interested in fish and all restaurants had same branzino as a catch of the day for a week straight... The app that they told us to check for events and restaurants didn't work. It's was not clear to us what activities were offered and what evening shows would be. It was our first time at this hotel and we were confused. I wish they would explain more properly at the check in. Also activities often were cancelled and animation team wasn't present. I have been to all inclusive in Europe and they had much more interesting programs during the daytime. I loved the mojito class, however next day supposed to be margarita class I came there and it was cancelled. Also restaurant menu the app was not up to date or wasn't there at all and we had to ask front desk for the menu. Also it was not clear to us what was included and what was not because some restaurants were only for VIP package. What I didn't like that everywhere they try to push you into buying over $100 bottle of wine. Without that they didn't provide us a good table! At least 3 restaurants refused to give us a good table. They told us if we want window seat we have to purchase a wine bottle that starts at $100. Me and my husband don't drink much and we definitely don't need $100 wine bottle... Also many big groups take it to get a good table but It may not work for couples that just want to have a good table and romantic evening and they don't need a bottle. I think it's very unfair because I paid $600 a night and I don't want to pay more to get a good table specially at all inclusive restaurants that supposed to be part of our deal. I absolutely loved the evening circus show with water acrobats and they showed amazing balancing skills and everybody was just stunt from that show. It left many people speechless after the show. Overall we had a good 5 night stay. There can be a lot of improvements in cleaning and service in general. Also they didn't recognized my birthday. There was a bottle of wine in the room but we were not sure was it for us because there was no note or something.

Due to having a suite, we had butlers Romero and Isaías, and they were both AMAZING. They were extremely attentive, and whatever we needed was never an issue. If we asked for something, it was done quickly and without hesitation. You honestly couldn't ask for better service. We also had access to the Aqua Club, which was open from 7 AM-10 PM and offered premium liquor along with light snacks for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The waiters there--Daniel, Guillermo, and Eduardo--were great! They were even willing to make us our favorite shots that they had never heard of (blowjobs... Google it ), but they made them anyway! The lounge itself is super relaxing, with spectacular ocean views from the 5th floor. Now, onto the part we ALL care about the most: THE FOOD! There are several restaurants on the property to choose from, but our absolute favorite was Hidden Garden, which is Asian-inspired and run by Chef Mario. Everything we ordered was spectacular! Chef Mario even came out to our table, greeted us personally, and provided us with a menu curated by him--which I'm assuming was because it was my birthday... lol. They also have one paid restaurant called Carnivore, which is a steakhouse. Now, I am a self-proclaimed steakhouse snob, so I have to keep it real: for the price, it was mid. But for a resort steakhouse, it was good. The rest of the food throughout the resort was WAAYYYY better than expected--even the poolside grill and the food you can order directly to your cabana. Everything was well-seasoned and cooked to perfection. The ribs they made at the poolside grill every day were FANTASTIC! The head of culinary at the resort, Mr. Germain, is definitely doing what needs to be done because the food was consistently impressive throughout the property. Now, the second-most important thing for most people: NIGHTLIFE. Personally, I came to relax, and the overall vibe of the resort definitely gives relaxation. However, they do have a nightclub called Egos, which stays open until 1 AM. I went once, but it wasn't really my music or my vibe. If you're looking for more of a nightlife scene, I would suggest heading into the city. BUTTTT... if you love a good pool party, make sure you hit the Moët Pool Party because BABYYYYYY... it was LIT! Overall, the resort exceeded my expectations. The service, food, atmosphere, and attention to detail made for an amazing experience, and I would absolutely consider coming back!

However, what truly struck us both this time was the incredibly warm treatment we received. A hotel is only as great as its staff, and the team here is what makes it special. We booked a club-level oceanfront room, which included butler service. Our butler, Arturo, absolutely came through for us. He handled our restaurant and cabana reservations ahead of time and was instrumental in securing a late check-out on our final day. The dining at this all-inclusive is superb. For breakfast, Siete offers a decent buffet, and our waiter, Helvert, was incredibly kind and always took the time to chat with us. For dinner, DB was our top choice for elegant continental dining, complete with a live pianist. The manager, Susana, provided excellent service, the food was delicious, and the chef even came out to greet us. We also loved Hidden Gardens, a relaxed Asian-fusion spot with tasty food, impeccable service, and another welcome visit from the chef. During the sweltering day, the pool is the main draw. Lalo was always helpful in securing our requested cabana. They cost an extra $115 each time, but they are completely worth it to escape the intense sun. Our pool waitress, Marysol, befriended us and knew exactly what non-alcoholic drinks to bring us. My wife is a big coffee drinker, so we frequently stopped by the included Starbucks, where David the barista gave excellent service and loved chatting with me about World Cup soccer. Also, a big shoutout goes out to Lady and Daisy at the spa. They gave my wife and I heavenly massages. However, the absolute heart of the entire hotel is Marco, the extraordinary juicer at Siete! His positivity, jokes, and contagious smile drew a long line of people waiting for his blended drinks every morning. Thank you to everyone for making our trip so memorable!

They were kind, attentive, and genuinely made our stay more enjoyable. Without them, this would have been a one-star review. The resort lures you in with the promise of an all-inclusive vacation, but the reality was incredibly disappointing. The food was some of the most unappetizing I've ever seen at a resort. Very little looked fresh or appetizing, and dining quickly became something we dreaded rather than enjoyed. The property itself is very dated. The rooms, common areas, and grounds all show significant wear, and many areas felt dirty or in need of repair. We even had cockroaches in our room. Air conditioning was either weak or nonexistent in many parts of the resort, making it uncomfortable to escape the heat. One thing they don't make clear when booking is that there are different resort access levels based on your wristband color. We had blue bracelets, while guests with black bracelets had access to noticeably nicer amenities and areas. It leaves standard guests feeling like second-class visitors. Cleanliness was another major issue. Guests frequently left trash around the property, and we were disturbed to learn on our last day that reusable cups were being rinsed in a brown sanitizing solution before being handed back out. If you stay here, bring your own insulated cup. My husband and I both came home sick with bad colds, and while I can't say what caused it, seeing the cup sanitation process certainly didn't inspire confidence. Another disappointment was the atmosphere. All of the pool bars closed by 6:00 p.m., and by around 11:00 p.m. the resort felt completely dead. Aside from the spring break crowd, there wasn't much energy or entertainment. Overall, this resort feels like it's surviving on its spring break reputation rather than investing in the guest experience. Between the poor food, outdated facilities, cleanliness concerns, uncomfortable rooms, and confusing tiered access system, I would never recommend Grand Oasis Cancún. Save your money and book elsewhere

Grand Oasis Cancun was the worst all-inclusive resort experience we've ever had…read more We booked this resort for our sons' senior graduation trip based on advertising that promoted it as a fun, energetic party resort. The reality was the exact opposite. Check-in took over an hour because staff claimed they couldn't find our Expedia reservation. Another person in our group had already paid for services through the resort's website but was repeatedly asked for additional payment. Our group spent an extra $1,000 on upgrades hoping to improve the experience. It didn't. The rooms were small, outdated, dirty, and not worth the extra cost. The food was terrible. We expected mixed quality based on reviews, but much of it was barely edible. Making dinner reservations felt intentionally difficult, and once we finally secured them, we were forced to sign agreements acknowledging additional fees if we were late. The biggest disappointment was the complete lack of atmosphere. There was very little music, almost no nightlife, and most activities shut down before 11 PM. We ended up leaving the resort almost every night so the boys could find entertainment elsewhere. What frustrates me most is how misleading the marketing is compared to the actual experience. After more than 15 years of booking travel through Expedia, I'm genuinely disappointed that Expedia continues to partner with and promote a resort that feels built around false advertising, upselling, and disappointing guests. We trusted the Expedia brand, and this resort fell far short of the experience it promised. Save your money and book somewhere else.

It took nearly three hours to resolve the issue, which was especially frustrating after a very long flight. If this is a resort requirement, it should have been clearly communicated to guests prior to arrival so they can come prepared and avoid unnecessary delays. Other than that, the property was clean, the staff was helpful and friendly, and there were plenty of activities and entertainment options available. The biggest downside was how difficult it was to get reservations at the restaurants within the resort. Getting a dinner reservation each day was a struggle. The bar food, such as pizza and burgers, was not very good. However, if you are able to get a reservation at one of the resort restaurants, the food is really good. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but the check-in experience and difficulty getting restaurant reservations were significant drawbacks.

Sometimes all inclusive hotels can feel gimmicky, like being on a cruise ship or something. This was not that at all. This was a high end experience from start to finish. The hotel service and facilities are impeccable. I was blown away by the care they take to tend to each guest. I was only there for a few days and people took the effort to learn my name and my personal preferences. To start, the room was incredible. I stayed in a suite and it had a juccuzi right inside the room and an ocean view with a hammock. The room also came with a mini bar which was restocked daily (although you could also call and request anything at any time). Every day they had a different schedule of activities for guests with quality entertainment (not tacky acts). They had all all white party with a circus one day which was fun, a foam party, bull riding and more. The food deserves its own review. It exceed my expectations by a lot. They had several food options to choose from, including an Asian restaurant, a Mediterranean restaurant, a mexican restaurant a cafe and a global buffet. The restaurants were all open extended hours until 10 or 10:30 so there were always food options available. The global buffet did different themed dinners every night. Of the restaurants, I liked all but I'd say the Mediterranean was the most high quality. The preparation and taste was on par with any top NYC restaurant. The octopus dish was especially memorable. Second favorite was probably the Mexican restaurant. They have a chef from Oaxaca who makes a great mole. At each restaurant, the managers always made an effort to stop by my table to make sure I had what I needed. The employees genuinely care about serving you and they do it gladly. Sometimes you go to places where the employees are disgruntled or have a bad attitude. Not the case here at all. Everyone seemed generally happy and in a good mood. It felt like most of the people here were celebrating something, whether a bachelorette party or birthday, but it didn't feel overall raucous or anything. They had a silent disco one night and I think that also helped with any potential late night noise issues. I was really impressed with how well curated the schedule of activities was. Additionally, the hotel was very clean. When I first got in, people were mopping. They're constantly changing pool towels that are left out. Everything was spotless. The sheets were crisp and white. My room was changed to my liking. No complaints. One of the better places I've stayed. I would definitely come back in a heart beat. I loved it here!

The resort had recently reopened after renovations, and everything felt fresh, modern, and very clean. The beach was beautiful, the pools were relaxing, and the grounds were well maintained. The highlight of our stay was the staff. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and genuinely seemed to care about making our vacation special. A special thank you to Chris, our Reserve Concierge, who went above and beyond throughout our stay. If you're considering upgrading to The Reserve Adults Only section, I highly recommend it. The concierge service, exclusive lounge, premium drinks, coffee bar, adults-only dining, and Bali beds were well worth it. The resort offers several dining options, including steak, seafood, Japanese cuisine, and a buffet. While the food wasn't our favorite part of the trip, breakfast was excellent and there was plenty of variety. We especially enjoyed the live saxophone music during breakfast, the beautiful beach, and the peaceful gym each morning. We went to the Italian restaurant, Capella, and because we had the reserve option. We also tried. Both of these restaurants were excellent. The bartenders outside were excellent Raymundo by aqua was wonderful. The bartenders at the adult side pool were also great. The service by the pools is lackluster in the general areas. It had the best reviews for what we, as a family, needed. The whole point of the trip was to take our family, including abuelos, on a vacation everyone would enjoy. Being abuelos' first time at an all-inclusive, it exceeded their expectations and they loved the experience. They were able to get food and drinks as they pleased. For the kids, all they needed was a kid friendly pool, other kids to play around and they were happy. However, Fiesta Americana Condesa also offers a kids club from toddlers to teens. I do want to highlight how EVERYONE ( all staff) were exceptional from the moment we step foot on the property to the time we left. For our family, every eatery visited was well run, again all staff was super friendly and more than helpful with some even go your of their way to accommodate for reasonable food preferences, specifically, the Buffet. Are there things that can improve? Yes, of course there are, just as with any other hotel. Some of the fixtures might need updates, the gym could use 40 -45 lb (18-20kg) dumbbells and recovery equipment, Sushi Corner MOST DEFINITELY HAS ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT and lastly, there could be more adult activities. But in reality, most people come to ALL-INCLUSIVES to drink to your hearts content, drink some more, then drink some more and maybe throw in some food somewhere. The central lobby bar didn't seem to be at a loss for patrons throughout the day. If you're looking for fun time, a good variety of food, adult and family friendly activities, and WON'T BREAK THE BANK then I'd recommend checking out Fiesta Americana Condesa.

And there were some of the restaurants where you'd have to pay more for premium items and it wasn't even worth paying the premium. I suggest going to the city and eating anywhere else than having to pay here. This is the second time that I have gone to an all inclusive and although it's Handy, the drinks are watered down including the beer. I just think if you're paying four to $600 a night it needs to be a little better. Oh my God and I forgot that there was construction outside of our door.
