Spent my honeymoon at Secrets The Vine. A fabulous place to stay in Cancun. Our room was spacious and decorated tastefully. The bed was very comfortable and plush. Plenty of room to store clothing for an 8 day stay. The shower had two heads and was amazing! Our patio offered a spectacular view of the ocean and lagoon. Housekeeping was excellent during our stay, our room was always super clean. The pools were phenomenal, one was quiet and the others had music and a more festive atmosphere. The beach and ocean are right out back, private and clean. The food at the restaurants was good, nothing super spectacular, but I had a delicious meal each time I ate. The drinks were delicious, sometimes a bit weak, but when they're free, just order another!! I felt the entertainment was a bit lacking, I was hoping for some more upbeat places to go and listen to music and perhaps dance. But that is a small complaint as many options are available off property, the bus picks you up out front and is easy and cheap to ride. What I liked the most about Secrets was the superior, top notch customer service. My wife and I were treated so well here, from the front desk, to the wait staff, the bartenders, the housekeeping staff. Every person we came into contact with was very kind and courteous. This is how you should be treated when you spend your hard earned money at an all inclusive resort. Would definitely recommend and return to Secrets The Vine. read more

Had an amazing time here, went on Cinco de Mayo weekend. Got a Preferred Club Junior Suite room, great view of the ocean and pools of the hotel. While going Preferred my favorite add ons were Butler Service 24/7 Specific Pool on the Spa Level (Sick View) Staff was awesome, so nice and helpful about everything from booking tours to trying to help you decide from which of the 7 restaurants to eat from. Food options were plenty and all tasted great. Plenty of bars as well around the pool and inside the hotel. Honestly cant say one bad thing about this resort. Stayed here for a week and time flew by, none of us wanted to leave. Amazing, modern all inclusive resort. Adult only. Many options for dinner, and all the restaurants are top notch. We also real really liked that they had a sports bar!! The rooms are beautiful, and I can't imagine there is a bad view anywhere in the resort. The beach is pristine and water is gorgeous!! We did the preferred club and thought it was worth it here due to the exclusive infinity pool and restaurant (Olio) for preferred guests only. The Secrets The Vine Cancun is a spectacular resort. Not only is the hotel property clean, fresh, and well taken care of however, the staff is amazing. Each and every person working there is so hospitable. All of the pools, hotel rooms, and restaurants etc. are excellently maintained and spotless. The drinks are all super delicious, and they offer plenty of different types of cuisine between there multiple hotel restaurants. Not to mention, they have a beautiful hotel Spa! Had an amazing 4 nights stay last week and can't wait to go back. They greeted us with "welcome home" when we walked in, and it truly felt like home! My husband and I both work in the hotel industry in Las Vegas so we know good service. We had an awesome bartender at the pool bar that made the best Mojitos! Everyone was very friendly. The staff on 21 was awesome (cooks were a bit unfriendly). Would have liked to see an activity schedule for at least 3 days vs. 1 at a time so we could better plan our days but was not a deal breaker. We will be back soon! read more

We recently stayed at The Vine for a couples vacation and it was such a great trip! We are from Chicago and total foodies so we chose The Vine based on the reviews of their restaurants. Surprisingly that was the only thing we did not like about the resort. The food wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. Since we live in Chicago we have so many amazing restaurants so I feel like if we lived in the suburbs somewhere we would think the food was great (no being insulting just honest!). The grounds were beautiful with many amazing views and lounging areas. The pools are big and quiet so we never had to worry about getting a spot. They have cabanas that you don't have to rent (first come first serve) and AMAZING drinks. They have a lot of alcohols not on display (Goose, Kettle, etc) so be sure to ask for the good stuff. The beach was very clear of seaweed and they had great beach chairs and spots. The rooms were big and spotless. I would say the absolutely most impressive part of the resort would have to be the staff. The staff were not only very friendly but their attention to detail (and to the guests) is like no other resort I have been to! When I was low on a drink they were there with a refill, we never had to wait a long time in the restaurants, and the butler service went out of their way to make sure you had everything you needed and wanted. How can u not appreciate this place? Maid service twice a day as well as tons of great food options. Spa service was a bit steep and only the Mediterranean food was so so but that's more cause I'm not into that type of dish. It was a work incentive so all paid for but I have entertained bringing my wife. Staff was orderly and helpful and they had lots of fun things to do day and night. Room service 24/7 is what's up! This place was completely amazing. From the moment we walked in, we were greeting with two champagne glasses and helpful staff. I've been to many all-inclusive resorts in the Dominican Republic and one in Jamaica, but it never really included room service or top-shelf liquor. Secrets the Vine is totally ALL-inclusive. If you want to order room service everyday it really is included, as well as top shelf liquor. The resort has servers/butlers walking around the beach and pool area asking if you want anything to eat/drink and they bring it right to you. There are so many different restaurants inside this place, Sushi, Mediterranean, a Steakhouse, Italian and, of course, Mexican. So much food! After being fat, their gym is conveniently located on the 12th floor facing the beach. The most stunning view is there! Our view was amazing; from our balcony, you can see the Lagoon on the left and the ocean to the right. Our shower had an amazing rain shower head including a regular one too, I looked forward to each shower lol. There is also a Spa (including 'Fish Spa') on the same floor as the gym, which was really cool to try. read more

My boyfriend surprised me with a much needed vacation. He opted for Secrets the Vine Cancún because it was supposed to cater to couples and it was "adults only" resort . We arrived earlier than our reservation but according to the website early check in wasn't a problem. Well we were stuck waiting in the lobby 5hrs. During this time we were approached by 3 different AGGRESSIVE people, from VIP services, trying to sell excursions and get us to visit other properties. One person approached us 3 times, it was excessive to say the least. We were already tired and aggravated so it was nerve wrecking. The butler that was assigned to us quickly introduced himself, gave us a quick tour around the property, he told us that we were welcome to use any of the ammenities but our room wouldn't be ready until 3 pm. Let's just talk about the lobby... it was clean but it smelled like sewage and mildew, it was hot and muggy, and we watch the servers intentionally ignore us. We sat in the lobby 5 hrs and NO one was accommodating. They were doing wine tastings and champagne tasting and we watched our butler knock the cork off the bottles as a presentation to the people who were there for the tasting. That's nice but what about our room??? Then the lady who approached us 3 times about the excursions let us know that the hotel was at 80% and this is the reason why we had to wait... so what about the 20% that's not occupied? So we decided to get something to eat because of our long wait, we went to the buffet and the food looked like it had been out all day at 10:30am. Luckily the butler got us in the room early at 2:37pm smh. The room had a strong odor because of the disinfectant they used, it smelled like acetone. I got an instant headache. So I showered, tried room service but the food was disgusting and so I went to sleep. Woke up the next day trying to be enthusiastic, but we could get a decent meal. Even their Mexican food was gross. I'm well traveled so I say this with a little experience under my belt... worse food EVER. We were in the "Preferred club" only thing I was thinking was I PREFER to stay somewhere else. I haven't seen the butler since we checked in. read more

Had my honeymoon trip here for 4days. Most of the time were good, most of the staff were friendly helpful and nice. We booked deluxe ocean view double beds, the view from our room was fabulous, we had our breakfast in the balcony, it was nice. The restaurants wasn't that good as I expect, only few choices. Went to one restaurant called "Sea Salt Grill" in our first day, the food was good, the service was the best, the staff gave us a honeymoon surprise, really appreciated. We went to "Dragons" for some Asian courses in the second day, highly recommend their salmon sashimi and apple sake. But in the third day, we went to "Bluewater Grill", I had worst experiences here. I wear flip flops, initially they let me go in and having seat, but later one of the staff gossip to the receptionist, and then the receptionist said due to the dress code, I cannot eat there. I am ok with that, I can go upstairs and changing my shoes off. But we saw there were other people wear flip flops, and we just asked why I couldn't wear that. The woman said,mine was not "elegance"enough. EXCUSE ME?! The problem was all flip flops are looks same, just different colors, mine are red and blue, and hers black. Wasn't that angry at this point, cause it was my honeymoon dating dinner, just want to be happy. In the last day, we went to "cafe market" for breakfast, the staff here said "Ching Chong" to us. It's pejorative, really mean. I mean I just walked in the restaurant, we didn't do anything. The staff here really need learn some manners, it's not about customer service, it's all about respect. Let me start off this review by going over the wonderful things about Secrets The Vine before I really get into what I hated. First off, this resort is beautiful from the ground up. As you enter, everything is choreographed from the champagne glass welcome, the vanilla-like scent wafting throughout the lobby, and meeting with the floor butler who will attend to your needs during your stay. Of course, all of this is meant to make the guest feel valued and almost like a celebrity, which my wife and I definitely observed and appreciated. The food itself can be hit or miss, but definitely more hit than miss. The breakfast buffet is great! They have plenty of breakfast staples like eggs, pancakes, and sausage; however, when in Mexico, fill your plate with the chilaquiles and frijoles. I don't know about you but breakfast always hits the spot for me. If there's one restaurant to skip, it's the seafood restaurant downstairs by the pool for lunch and dinner. I don't recall the name of it but that restaurant was definitely serving the blandest of the bland. Other than that, we really enjoyed dining at Nebbiolo, the Market Cafe, and Blue Water Grill for dinner. The gym on the 12th floor had to have been one of the best hotel gyms I've ever worked out in. All of the equipment is new and how can you beat that view of the ocean as you jog on the treadmill? It's stunning! There are also pitchers full of green Chlorophyll juice and this red juice that I can't recall the name of, which was refreshing. I mainly stuck with the Chlorophyll drink during my lifting session. It definitely did not taste as bad as it sounded and it kept me energized throughout my workout. As for the room, my wife and I stayed in a preferred room on the 26th floor, which allowed us access to the preferred lounge and the private infinity pool, with lounge chairs and cabanas. Some of the reviews below would advise future guests to save their money and not upgrade to preferred, but my wife and I enjoyed it. As we all know, value is subjective. My wife and I value convenience and the preferred lounge and its perks offered us exactly that. The preferred lounge provides guests various snacks and desserts throughout the day, as well as a bar with a bartender, which allows you the convenience of not having to wait for a drink like at some of the other bars downstairs. Ok, now that I've covered the positives, let me put the very deceptive sales team on blast. For starters, my wife and I were harassed daily into attending their "VIP Breakfast," which we knew ahead of time was going to be a full-on sales job to push their Vacation Membership package thing onto us thanks to prior reviews from other Yelpers. We did our best to avoid it but they finally caught us on the last day of our honeymoon so we decided to be nice and play along. My wife put on her best "resting bitch face" to give the sales representative and the concierge team the message that we were absolutely not interested in sitting down for any ridiculous presentation. Unfortunately, it didn't work. We made it quite clear to Chris, the tall skinny kid from the VIP Concierge team who was "somehow" waiting for us to exit the elevator as we were coming down from our room, that we would only be interested in a 30 minute presentation; not the 90 minute presentation. Well, as you might guess, we were held captive for two hours and were passed off to about 5 people before we met with Angelo, who I assume was the boss because he spoke the best English out of all the people that we were passed along to. I tried to make it quite clear that I wanted to save everyone time and listen only to the numbers but we had to sit through their very long song and dance about "Ohhh you can save so much money by enrolling in the Vacations Club.... blah blah blah..." before I started hearing concrete numbers. As Angelo was going over their options, I was pretty much already doing the math in my head because I'm Asian and I work as a Financial Analyst for a living. There was no way I was going to agree to any terms that didn't allow me any equity in what they were selling. Why would anyone sign up for a deal like that? Nice try, sales team but you're not going to bamboozle and hustle me. Golf clap for trying, though. You tried. If you are considering staying here, please know that this resort is extremely beautiful, modern, relaxing and definitely one of the most beautiful resorts in the Cancun Hotel Zone. The staff works very hard to make sure all of your needs are attended to and we appreciate them very much for it. At the end of the day, my wife and I actually do plan on returning here in the future because we actually did enjoy our stay, minus the obnoxious sales pitch. If you're planning a trip here, I would advise you keep your guard up and politely decline any invitation to meet with a VIP Concierge to save yourself the headache that my wife and I had to sit through. If you are looking for for 4-7 day getaway from everything, this is the vacation for you. Cancun and its tourism industry in general makes it easy for you to get around and book activities. This hotel is THE perfect place to be pampered, enjoy awesome food, and spend entire days in the water without any worry, hassle and planning. The hotel is right at the beach on the east side. The building is a cleverly designed thin rectangle-shape with long sides go east/west so over 85% (my own approximation) of the rooms would get ocean view to some extent. Accommodation - 5 stars You will be treated with a glass of champaign when you get in. You will feel it's truly 5-star. The room we were in was spacious, contemporarily decorated, and nicely arranged with ocean on the right of the balcony even though we didn't specifically book water view room. You will find bedding extremely comfortable. Bathroom is just amazing with one shower head and one rain style shower. No bath tub but who cares you can go to the hot tub at the beach. Wifi can be spotty in the room but if you have T-mobile with free international roaming, it's fine. Balcony is great size with awesome furniture but it's open and near the neighbors. It's up to your neighboring luck - you can make friends for life or be bothered by smokers.  Food and Drinks - 5 stars It is an all inclusive, i.e., free food and drinks, experience so you can eat whatever you want, whenever you want even with room services or minibar (tip: order room service at 6am and pack sandwiches for the cafe on the day you go for early tours.) You will find a spot to get alcohol (premium included) almost everywhere. Restaurants are top notch. They have several upscale restaurants: Italian, Mexican, steakhouse and Mediterranean (and more) for you to choose from... unlimited. So you and your significant other can enjoy 4 appetizers, 3 main courses and 3 desserts to share. Our dinner each night is something we would easily pay over $100 and give 4-5 Yelp stars back home. Yep, you can have a few cocktails each and ask the waiter to leave a bottle of with you. Overall delicious and made with great ingredients (except for our rib eye but that might be an outlier).  Pools, Beach and Gym - 5 stars You will find several pools with hot tub at lobby/beach level. The infinity pool (a little letdown here though) is on level 12 but only accessible if you you're in a preferred room. During peak hours (which is pretty much all day from 9am to 5pm), it can be crowded and a shade spot can be a little hard to find, so, great for suntanning! Beach is gorgeous, clean and well maintained. You will see lifeguard on duty some - we saw them ask people out of the water at 7pm. The gym is the best I've been to. It's also on 12th floor and faces the east side of the hotel - treadmills, elliptically and spin class-style stationary bikes (plenty of them) get the best view of the hotel in my opinion. Great motivation for you to run off the food excess.  Services - 5 stars Three words: impeccable, attentive and great attention to details. Enough said.  --- That's it for hotel reviews. Anything below this is about the membership. Full disclosure: I did sign up during my stay --- The Unlimited Vacation Club Membership - 0 star (or is there negative star?) It is a club that offers unlimited discounts (guaranteed 25% off or more) for any future booking on their luxury all-inclusive resorts (about 40 of them at the time of writing) including for friends and family.    After check-in, they will offer you $125 that could be used with activity to show up the next morning for their 90-minute presentation. You will be going through car-salesman style haggle to sign up for their membership for the next 20, 30, 40 or 50 years at the full price of $30k up to 120k with financing. They would throw in free weeks at their resorts (with some conditions) as the sign up freebies as well. 2 weeks for $400 a night would worth almost $6k already. This is the part that kills the experience for us (thus, two star review). Understandably, they are losing customers to timeshare and other vacation clubs (and probably they want to raise capital to build more resorts). What I don't get is why they do it by haggling the guests on the second day of the stay. I signed up but changed my mind and emailed them a day later while I was at the hotel that I wanted to cancel it out - they said they couldn't do it and I have to be responsible for 50% of the entire membership amount per the early termination fee clause (although my online account wasn't set up yet!). Yep, talking about honest way to do business here. My main issue here is that, unlike timeshare that you'll get set number of points per year, there's no guarantee that you will get any more discount than 25% as the sales guys make it sound. 25% off of $400/night is still cost prohibitive.  I would entertain any PM if anyone wants to inquire/share experience about the club. read more

Very nice resort. From moment we arrived until we left we were truly taken care of. We prepaid everything and didn't spend a dime more other than a few tips. We did pay a little extra for the preferred club and it was worth it to have a private pool and little higher room. Also saw we could order special cervical neck pillows that were comfy. If you go here, recommend a PRIVATE taxi not a shared one. We prepaid this too and waited for an hour and had to make multiple stops on way to hotel. Overall excellent resort. this place was amazing! after hours of reading reviews on tripadvisor i decided to book this resort in cancun instead of going to playa del carmen. i was looking for a quiet, non-party, adults only, upscale resort and this was it! was it the best all inclusive i've been to? no - royal hideaway in playa del carmen wins that award. however i enjoyed this resort and would probably come back in the future. when i hear resort, i imagine a massive property with lots of walkways and beautiful tress. since this resort is on a small plot of land there is none of that. i also was disappointed that there are no outdoor activities included (like kayaking, paddle boarding, biking, etc.), but i knew that ahead of time so it wasn't a big deal. the outside is not much to look at it, but once you're inside you feel like you're in the high end hotel that you paid for. customer service is excellent! as soon as we walked in we were greeted with cool towels and a glass of champagne. we were on the preferred levels so were escorted to the private check in center on the 21st floor. with the preferred level you also get access to a butler (sandra was ours), private pool on 12th floor, top shelf liquor, and access to lunch at olio's. the mixed drinks were okay - honestly most of them just tasted artificial. i stuck with wine most of the time. the food was so so. i wasn't impressed and didn't really love any of the restaurants. dragons was by far the worse place and i only went there once during my 7 day stay. the service was poor and the food was awful. i did enjoy the steakhouse and italian places though and went back several times. arturo and marcos at the steak house provided excellent service and fernando at the italian place was our favorite staff member at the whole resort - we went to his restaurant 3 times and he always went above and beyond. he made our dining experience so much better and was very considerate of my gluten free request. one night he surprised me with gluten free pasta that they don't normally have - i was very touched that he would go out of his way for me to ensure i had a wonderful dinner. our room was beautiful with a gorgeous view. we ended up switching rooms so had a chance to experience both sides of the hotel. the sandos side is noisier (from the a/c), but so worth it for the view. i loved that they had incense in the room and our butler always made sure we had plenty. i also requested plenty of sparkling water for our mini bar and it was always stocked full. you can't go wrong staying here - you'll for sure be relaxed and happy you chose this place. read more

I am one of those lucky people who get to travel to a warm place to escape a little during the cold January winters. I was lucky enough to go to this fun, adults only resort, right on the beach in fun Cancun! I've been to a few Secrets resorts and this one, although aesthetically not the most luxurious or scenic, had by far the best food I've had at the other Secrets resorts. The staff was top notch, the alcohol (don't be afraid) was top shelf and abundant. Not getting a 5 star rating because I believe the nightlife and entertainment were not the best but aside from that... Secrets the Vine is totally worth the stay! read more

Third time at Secrets the Vine and it just keeps getting better. The property and rooms are gorgeous and if you want a view of all of Cancun, I highly recommend booking Preferred Club. You also get top shelf liquor in the Preferred Lounge. I'm obsessed with the service at Secrets and can't imagine staying elsewhere. The staff is so friendly and most people remembered our names after only meeting us a few times. Please remember these folks work hard and get paid very little so if you receive good service, they deserve to be tipped well. Especially the beach servers who are running back and forth all in the hot sun to bring you drinks or even an ice cold bottle of water. I'll be going back for a 4th time in November! read more

The rooms are fabulous and have high tech amenities such as USB ports and a tablet to be used for ordering food, selecting activities and showing you all the spa has to offer. There are fun functions going on throughout the day such as dance lessons and trivia. This is a fabulous property and I will certainly return. read more

Secrets is aesthetically pleasing. Off da charts it looks nice. The staff is super nice. Drink order comes quickly. Only complaint is food. Room service takes forever. The food is meh. The best place to eat was blue water grill which serves steak. If you care a lot about food Live aqua has better food. Room service is faster and food comes out quick. This is by far, the most luxurious, dream hotel. Every wish you've ever had is granted. My husband and I recently had a very intimate destination wedding there and it was the best hotel choice I've ever made. We had a preferred club (worth every extra penny) honeymoon suite. Its best to get the highest floor possible. We ate at all of the restaurants, Olio and Nebblilo being our favorite. The food is simply to die for, and they cater to every diet possible. Our wedding was directly on the beach, and Yamina & Karen ( our wedding coordinators) went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. We had a private check in with our two butlers (yes! We had butlers!) David and Marcos, that I cannot even describe there exemplary service. There is plenty to do on property, with planned daily activities. This is most definitely a resort catering towards couples, if you want to party and be single, go to Breathless Resorts. This is a dream resort, and its well worth every single penny. read more

My boyfriend and I came to this resort for my birthday last weekend and he surprised me with an upgraded room in the Preferred Floors. We were immediately greeted by our wonderful Butler, Leticia, who showed us the room and made us feel at home. We went down to the pool restaurant for lunch and came back to the room and it was decorated with tons of balloons and rose petals all over the bed and written out "Happy Bday" on the ground. Leticia had coordinated a birthday dessert and wine and it was so lovely! This is just one example of how the resort truly made you feel like you were special. Unfortunately, my boyfriend ended up injuring his back pretty badly the next day while jet skiing and he wasn't able to move from the bed all weekend. We ended up extending our stay 3 extra days to let his back heal and rest. Although this was not how we had expected our trip to be, our butlers, Leticia and Alex, turned the weekend around for us... they were helping with buckets of ice, food requests and offering a helping hand when they could! Even with the circumstances, the trip was so relaxing and wonderful and we will definitely be coming back (just not jet skiing :)). The restaurants were great- specifically the steakhouse and Italian restaurant, and the breakfast buffet is phenomenal. Highly recommend this resort and thank you to the whole staff for making us feel so at home! read more

Let me start off by saying... This place is beautiful. The rooms are very nice. The beach is right when you walk out the doors. There are a number of food options. The ambience is nice. What upset me was... I paid additional for a suite that was on the upper floors of the hotel. I can't recall the name of it but it wouldve granted access to a separate pool and club level activities. When we arrived, the pool was under construction. No phone call or anything to let us know ahead of time and no offer to refund any money being that the pool couldn't be used. Then we were put in a room that the door had to be slammed shut in order for it to close and lock. Came back to my room and the door was wide open from when the maid came in and left and couldn't close the door. We were livid. All of our belongings left in an unlocked room. When asked for management ... Was given a piss poor excuse and after going back and forth they finally offered to change our room. Ok fine. But I had a bitter taste in my mouth at this point. This was my bday celebration and it started off terribly wrong. read more

My husband and I stayed at Secrets The Vine 3/30-4/2/17. It was an absolutely amazing trip! Our butler Victor and the entire staff was beyond exceptional. We stayed in room 2409 and had beautiful views of the ocean. We were celebrating my husbands 30th birthday and Chef Mara made a wonderful tres lèches cake (my hubby's favorite). I am beyond grateful to the entire team and management staff for such a wonderful vacation. Beautiful, modern hotel with clean rooms and great staff. Food presented well, many options offered (even vegan) but lacking flavor. Much of the alcohol clearly diluted with ethanol (ask for don julio reposado - seemed to be pure). 3 stars for not being family friendly - vibe is extremely couple oriented. My family of 6 was made to feel uncomfortable in restaurants and pools. This may be perfect for couples looking for a quiet retreat but I do not recommend staying here with a family if persons are younger than 25 (or if you're looking to let loose and have a good time). Our first time out of the country and our first time at an all inclusive resort and it was everything we've ever imagined and more! Secrets The Vine was BEAUTIFUL everywhere you went. From the rooms to the pools to the bars and restaurants. It has AMAZING food and drinks. I've been craving their burgers and piña colada's ever since I got back home. Olio was by far our favorite restaurant with the best food and the best staff. The service from each and every staff member there was extraordinary. Specifically Willians who was our server 90% of the time we ate there. His personality and professionalism is hard to beat. Santiago who was serving our drinks by the pool most of the time. He brought us our favorite drink as soon as we sat down the second day we were there. Felt great to be remembered and not even have to ask for a drink. He was very personable. Alejandro who makes THE best drinks. And Damian who was a very sweet server who went above and beyond. We loved this resort and felt so welcomed and appreciated the whole entire time. We'll be recommending this resort to everyone we know. read more

This was my first time in Cancun and my first time at an all-inclusive. I did a solo trip and didn't know what to expect, but because of the amazing staff at Secrets The Vine, my trip was exceptional. The resort, the location, the food, and service were all amazing. The entertainment staff, especially Axel and Valeria did an amazing job with putting together fun activities and making sure I was enjoying my stay. There's a big selection of restaurants and food choices, so you never get tired of eating the same thing. While laying out at the pool or beach, I was never without a drink because of the attentive servers - especially Olivia. I would highly recommend Secrets The Vine and intend on going back in the near future. Perfect getaway! read more

Hotel is very clean,there is some issues,pools are very busy and kids friendly so they do what kids do tye best in water few restaurant and i have to say only the italian restaurant is decent,the cheeseburgers not even eatable,tacos very oily,even i love oily food ,staff very nice and friendly,most of them speak english and answers ur questions the best of their knowlage overhall nice experinece . read more

I get that this is basically a couple's resort, but even couples want to have fun. Put on some fun music in the lobby and at the pool! Can't you tell people are getting bored? If I wanted this much quiet I would have stayed home. read more

This was my first visit to Cancun and I am sad to report that this is not a 5 star resort by any means. First let me start with the food. The breakfast dishes are what seems to be leftovers from the night before mixed in with egg and cheese to make it palatable to the breakfast crowd. The scambled eggs were always runny and underdone. This was very disappointing on several levels. Oh and good luck trying to get coffee. It seems that this is a rare commodity, and even if you ask for it several times during breakfast, it will finally show up when you are done. I recommend having a coffee station since the servers dont seem to like getting this to you in a timely manner. The world class wine selection is far from it. A client and I decided to try the sushi and pair it with a good zinfandel. The first five (yes 5!) of our choices off of the list were not available. The sommelier suggested a very inexpensive Pinot but neither of us would have it. We decided to have a middling sauvignon blanc that had an off putting aftertaste. This was very disappointing to us. The sushi was room temperature and seemed to have been rolled by a disinterested party. All in all the amenities were first rate and the rooms were very nice. Sadly the dining experiences will fall short of your expectations. Stay here but eat somewhere else. read more

Paid extra to stay in the premier section! Have been here less than 24 hours and have had a leaking toilet; noise coming from the empty room next door that it took them until 4:30 in the morning to figure out - resulting in a sleepless night; a thermostat that doesn't work resulting in a room so cold that you can't stay there and non-existent breakfast service. AND - then being asked to sit through a presentation where, because my husband of 40 years and I have different last names, I was insulted when they told me there was a problem because we couldn't PROVE we were married. With so many other lovely resorts to stay in - pass this one by.,,,it's quite obvious that they had to have written all of their own positive reviews as we have witnessed other guests who have also lined up to complain. They are very good about apologizing for there inadequacies - they just don't do anything about correcting them. read more

I've been to several all inclusive resorts in Cancun/Riviera Maya and this was by far my favorite. The staff was so incredibly friendly and accommodating and the food and drinks were amazing. My favorite moment of the weekend was the champagne breakfast that was set up for us on our private balcony. To top it off, the rooms are huge and spacious and the resort overall is so clean and nicely decorated. This trip was well worth the money and we will definitely be back! read more

~WALLET WAS STOLEN IN MY OWN ROOM IN THE HOTEL~ I travelled to Cancun from March 25 ~ 30th, Lived in #SecretsTheVineCancun HOPE everyone will have a safe trip in the future and ALWAYS keep your stuffs separately in different bags or lost everything. ALWAYS KEEP YOUR EYES ON YOUR PROPERTY!!! It is NOT that safe then what you THOUGHT!!! My wallet was stolen in my own room in the Hotel (Secrets The Vine Cancun, R.Q. Mexico) #SecretsTheVineCancun last day of my trip, right before I was ready to leave and check out. After I landed in Dallas my bank transaction shows all three credit cards in the wallet were used by fraud. I called them and the general manager (Crystal) told me to give them 48 hours to investigate; however, it has been three days and hotel has no response and the other assistant (Lina) either said the manager is not in the hotel or she is in meeting. Trying to transfer the responsibility. Honestly, I feel they know when would be my last day and when I was going to leave. Also, another detail is that when my boyfriend tried to heck out, there was a night time manager (Gustavo) took the room key to check out for us. Now, I worry about the situation here because 1) It's out the country, overseas in Mexico; 2) If the managers there try to protect each other I would get nothing or no evidence back based on what they have done so far, I have no expectation if they would really do something to help me; 3) Gustavo actually LIED before.In the early morning on Mar 30th, I took a taxi come back to hotel but I did not bring enough cash so the taxi driver waited in front of the lobby and my boyfriend went to get money from our room and I went back to the lobby. After my boyfriend paid the driver, Gustavo CAME AND TOLD HE PAID THE DRIVER. I DID NOT KNOW Gustavo was around the taxi until he showed up in front of my room. I double ASKED who paid since I did NOT know who paid actually. He said he PAID; 3) Other staffs there really helped, so worried if the higher manager team will transfer the responsibility to some random staffs to protect who they want to protect. read more

My boyfriend and I stayed here and had an amazing trip. We were treated like royalty and it was worth every penny. We enjoyed the beautiful beach and pools. The hotel offers complimentary wine tastings and entertainment, which we took advantage of every day. The food was top notch and very accommodating as I am a picky eater.
