We had an amazing trip while staying at Secrets the Vine Cancun. We had an ocean view room on the 19th floor. From the moment we arrived we were treated to exceptional service. This was a theme the entire stay. Every staff member went above and beyond to ensure we received amazing service. The drinks were great. The room was stunning. We loved opening the sliding doors and listening to the ocean. The only possible area of improvement is the food. There was lots of it available, and since this property doesn't require reservations we didn't have trouble getting into any restaurants. But, the food itself was just fine. Nothing spectacular and a bit bland at times. However, this was still such a positive experience that I would recommend this resort and absolutely return.
So this is a five star experience. But it isn't yet perfect. Just really fantastic. The location, the decor, the food, the beach are all world class. The service is a work in progress with some hot or miss. The small footprint makes a prime pool/beach chair tricky. But seriously it's a work around with a little cash thrown at the problem. Love the preferred amenities. And that view- I'd give it 6 stars if I could.
Came here in May for a weeklong stay. I spent 3 days in a regular room and then upgraded to the preferred club for the last 4 days. The upgrade is well worth doing! We went up by 7 floors and had access to the preferred lounge (snacks throughout the day), premium drinks, a 25min sample massage (did scalp and foot) for 2, amongst many other perks. Access to the pool on 12th as well as the Olio restaurant for breakfast and lunch were also great perks of the preferred club. We enjoyed the Italian restaurant (Nebbiolo) most for dinner. Sea salt grill was the fave for lunch. Their buffet is also quite solid. Service was super warm and friendly! The e-team was great - especially Charly, Eduardo, Itzel, Aisha, and Jonathon. Fave shows were the tropical night (Sun night) and boy band (Mon night). The live music in different areas is a super nice touch. Went to the spa for 2 deep tissue massages and the hydrotherapy during my time here - definitely recommend! The hydrotherapy circuit is shorter than some of the other Secrets resorts. They have complimentary wine tastings 1-2 times a day and some paid ones as well. Would highly recommend checking out the complimentary one first and then paying the $35 for the upgrade if you like - I did the Mexican one and it was fantastic. Tried 5 wines from Baja CA / Mexico and then had some savory bites along with the wines, and then some Mexican candies along with the wines to learn about how the flavors changed with different pairings. Their photographer on site, Laura, is wonderful. I booked a complimentary 30min shoot and ended up purchasing a few pics ($35 each if you buy less than 10, then lower cost per pic if you buy more). Housekeeping was solid.
We had a great stay at secrets the vine Cancún in early December! Staff was kind and helpful, resort was clean and well maintained. Activities staff was great- wish the schedule was better communicated as the app was often wrong. Wait times for restaurants could be better- and the app was unreliable for telling you when your table was ready. Staff was often upselling wine to get you a table- pushy and frustrating. Resort needs more pool and beach chairs for the number of guests- real estate was often claimed by 8am by belongings with no people. Still a great stay for a very reasonable price. Espresso martini and soft pretzel every afternoon was a highlight.
Hotel room: 4/5 Environment: 3.5/5 Hotel amenities 3.5/5 Restaurants: 4/5 Value: 3.5/5 Hotel overall: 3.5/5 Overall, I would rate this closer to 3.5-3.7 so I am ranging from 3-4 star. Hotel overall is clean and the restaurants are a lot better than many other resorts I have been to in the Caribbean. The rooms are a very decent size while sometimes, if someone orders room service you can hear the cart rolling throughout the hallways. I think the biggest thing that takes away from it being a good 4 star is the fact that it is indeed a smaller resort. While, you should know this prior to going as well as to many vlogs and information on the net, it is still surprising when you can finish exploring said resort in an hour or two. Services were pretty good overall, and activities can be potentially lacking as there are shows....but more like mini concerts and activities around the Lobby area as opposed to a massive display with acrobatics or singing at a main stage. Overall, a good experience, but probably not a resort I would go back to. Please take my review with a grain of salt as I am not a full resort person and my personal opinion could be skewed. For a couple I think this would be a relatively nice getaway. For a group of friends, I think there are better.
This is a picture of room service we ordered after an hour after we woke up to have something to eat we found all ants all over our food. Very disappointed I advised the manager he said that's basically what happens after an hour or so of food,.. I gave them the benefit of about to make this right and he refused..... over all horrible food very disappointed will never return to this resort. Save your money go elsewhere.
Secrets The Vine was a really great experience. The property is very clean and maintained well. The check-in process was easy and no one tried to sell us a time share!!! We upgraded to the junior suite and it was really big for the value. It had a massive balcony with a view to the left of the lagoon and to the right to the ocean. The only sad part about the view is looking straight out was another hotel. We were there in August so it was a little hot to hang out on the balcony. The resort is all inclusive and the food was really good. It is worth staying on property to eat. We did walk to our favorite restaurant which was perfectly located across the street and the hotel is in a great location in the hotel zone. The property felt very secure and safe. The drinks from the bar were really good as well except the Neon Lemonade...not a fan LOL. The buffet is really good except for the Fish Stew but mostly for the strong aroma while getting your food. I highly suggest this property.
Came here for my 55th birthday and it was well worth the trip! Had an awesome time here. They have numerous restaurants that are included in the all inclusive rate and the food choices are expansive and delicious. The room was spacious and beautiful with an awesome view of the ocean. They placed a birthday sash on my door and placed a lovely dessert in the room. Went to the spa and had a great massage which was preceded by a hydro therapy session. Highly recommend this adults only spot if you plan on visiting Cancun.
Just got back from our stay for our honeymoon at Secrets The Vine, that was from a Tuesday to Sunday from April 28 to May 3. This place was INCREDIBLE! I have nothing but good things to say about this place for a all inclusive, ADULTS ONLY resort. The resort it self was clean, modern and flawless. The service and people working there was top notch, everyone made us feel like royalty. The food was so good, obviously some spots weren't perfect but 90% of the time we LOVED what we ate. Was full inclusive so we ate a ton and drank a lot! The pools were beautiful and lots of options having 4. From Tuesday to Thursday it was so easy to get a spot at the pool or beach, would show up at 11am and find a two chairs and umbrella no problem. Friday/Saturday it was a bit harder since it's the weekend so the pool area was packed by 1pm but went to the beach and again found two spots with umbrella no problem. Beach was solid for hotel zone, this area of Cancun is known for having bad seaweed but the resort did its best to keep it cleaned up. Was able to get in the water some days and not see the seaweed everywhere. We did a preferred booking so got room on a higher floor, exclusive quick check in, access to roof top pool and restaurant. So if you don't care about those things just do a regular room but the upstairs pool was incredible. This place is definitely a relaxing resort, not a ton to do at night but that's what we wanted for our honeymoon. Pool can be somewhat lively during the day with music, and performances but at night it's just casual bars, restaurants and what not. Everything dies down before 12. Did a spa day too and it was great, had a couples massage, full body scrub, and hydrotherapy circuit for two that costs $398. I recommend booking it when you arrive as they may have deals. It was a great experience overall, we would for sure come back 100%!!! Every single worker there was so nice and helpful. Did not have a single bad experience with anyone that worked there.
The ops manager /GM whoever runs this business should have a talk with him. Idk if it was because I'm Mexican but it definitely felt personal. He was rude and tried to leverage his power to dismiss providing us service. Never apologized for him and his team not providing us the room and upgrade we had asked for. If it wasn't for the GM or whoever the hell he was it would be better. Outside that hiccup and them messing up our room it's been a great experience. Resort is beautiful and food is great. The Asian spot is delicious. The steak house was amaizng as well sea salt was great for mariscos and fish. Haven't tried the Italian or olio the Mediterranean. I will definitely provide an update.
Came here over the 4th July weekend and had a blast. This was my first time at this Secrets, as I have been to the other located in Puerto Vallarta and this was definitely a much better location. I have traveled to Cancun over the years and this resort is in that top notch of preference each time I do decide to go back. Our waiter Adrian was the best. Each morning for breakfast we would as for him and he would always have that same section reserved for us. The pools were fabulous you just have the be there very early to reserve a spot like all other resort where the perfect spot has to be close to the pool. The food was great from the first day we arrived and I must say the seafood by the pool was tasty. Seafood included Jumbo shrimp, grilled Octopus, and my favorite grilled mussels. (Yummy) As for our room, we were placed on the 18th floor with an Oceanview and a pool view. Room was very spacious and clean. Had no issue with the plumbing or any issue that would have made me reduce my ratings. But that evening sunset took my breath away as you can see in the pics that are here. Overall, I will suggest staying here, but the one item that still bothers me even when in Puerto Vallarta, was the massive amount of seaweed on the beach. Mexico needs to do a better job of curbing this. I do know what causing all this and they do too, but have done nothing to curtail the growth of this yearly issue. It was our first time in Mexico and we decided to choose adults only all inclusive hotel for my birthday and Secrets on the Vine looked perfect for us. Rooms were very new and spacious. We took deluxe king room with the sea view and the room didn't disappoint. However no privacy at the balcony is kind of an issue. You see your neighbors so you can't enjoy it so much. I loved amount of pools at this hotel. The food is available all the time at the lobby bar and beach bar during the day. I loved that there were a lot of seats, sofas, lounges to hang out at. Beach is right at the footsteps, it's so convenient however beach was not cleaned. There were a lot of seaweed in the water that irritated my skin because with strong waves it hits you everywhere. Gym was amazing, the views are very gorgeous, however didn't had air-conditioning and it was very difficult to do cardio. I end up doing pilates because it was too hot inside. Loved evening musicians at the lobby, piano players, guitar or just a simple jazz was very relaxing and it was every evening. Also later in the night was a lot of singers, some were very good some were OK. But it was always entertaining. We managed to see the turtles in the evening. They came on shore to lay there eggs and security of the hotel were guarding them so tourists wouldn't scare them. Some people were very rude they turned on flashlights trying to film/take a pic of the turtles and try to come from other side of the beach to come close to them. Please respect the nature and take the photos from the far without a flashlight! Food was ok, however portions were small in the restaurants. And sometimes I felt that food would be soggy and lack of texture that is specially at the buffet and lobby bar food & desserts. Also every restaurant "catch of the day" was branzino. Since I love fish and menus wasn't so big I was interested in fish and all restaurants had same branzino as a catch of the day for a week straight... The app that they told us to check for events and restaurants didn't work. It's was not clear to us what activities were offered and what evening shows would be. It was our first time at this hotel and we were confused. I wish they would explain more properly at the check in. Also activities often were cancelled and animation team wasn't present. I have been to all inclusive in Europe and they had much more interesting programs during the daytime. I loved the mojito class, however next day supposed to be margarita class I came there and it was cancelled. Also restaurant menu the app was not up to date or wasn't there at all and we had to ask front desk for the menu. Also it was not clear to us what was included and what was not because some restaurants were only for VIP package. What I didn't like that everywhere they try to push you into buying over $100 bottle of wine. Without that they didn't provide us a good table! At least 3 restaurants refused to give us a good table. They told us if we want window seat we have to purchase a wine bottle that starts at $100. Me and my husband don't drink much and we definitely don't need $100 wine bottle... Also many big groups take it to get a good table but It may not work for couples that just want to have a good table and romantic evening and they don't need a bottle. I think it's very unfair because I paid $600 a night and I don't want to pay more to get a good table specially at all inclusive restaurants that supposed to be part of our deal. I absolutely loved the evening circus show with water acrobats and they showed amazing balancing skills and everybody was just stunt from that show. It left many people speechless after the show. Overall we had a good 5 night stay. There can be a lot of improvements in cleaning and service in general. Also they didn't recognized my birthday. There was a bottle of wine in the room but we were not sure was it for us because there was no note or something.

Boss treats the office once a year for a 4 day getaway to Cancun, Mexico and this year he booked us a stay at the Secrets The Vine Cancun. This resort is all inclusive and includes all you can eat, drink and of course lots of fun and entertainment. It's his way of saying," Thank you for all your hard work now here's a vacation on me!" Got in last Thursday and left the following Monday. Our first day here, the weather was a bit overcast but we decided to get in our swimsuits anyway and enjoy the amenities. The site has a few pools, jacuzzi and cabanas. The staff here are super friendly and attentive and they do come around you quite often to take your drink and food orders Keep in mind to have a stack of $1 bills while staying at an all inclusive resort. Use those bills to tip for your drinks and food. . They do keep you pretty entertained as well. We spent most of the time at the pool, so there was never a dull moment. We played volley ball in the pool, water aerobics, danced with the pool boys, while listening to a band and eating lots of yummy food poolside with unlimited cocktails. There are water activities you can take on part as well on the beach but it's at your own risk. There are tour guides that do come around with many different excursion packages you can choose from if you want to do some exploring and engage in some adventure. But like I said it's at your own risk. Excursion prices are a bit pricey but if you know how to bargain or should I say "haggle" you will have no problem getting a good deal. There are a ton of restaurants on this property which are all included with the all inclusive but a few do require reservations and a dress code. You can order cocktails at any time anywhere on this property and room service is 24/7. I really enjoyed the Vine Cafe, especially their frozen cafe and pink cookies which I think I had at least a dozen during my stay here. And speaking of a dozen.. times 100 to that of my cocktails. Lush much? The gym is lovely.. located on the 12th floor with a gorgeous view of the ocean and the pools. The spa was good.. got 35% off my relaxation massage as part of my welcoming packet. However the lady working at the spa front desk was rude. I didnt like how she told me to hurry up filling out my paperwork. But my massage technician was excellent. She made sure I was comfortable with the pressure of her hands. Overall the resort was amazing. Very beautiful and we had access to pretty much everything round the clock. The layout of the property is interesting however. Reminds me of a secluded place that only exclusive people go to. I actually had a lady ask me if this place was known for "swinging ". My response was "It can be" . We had a good laugh. Now that I think about it, there were a lot of couple there enjoying other couples company. So I guess it's safe to say that this is the place for you if you're about that life! Secrets The Vine Cancun is the perfect getaway. What more can you ask for? Unlimited food, cocktails, poolside entertainment, gorgeous views , and grown adult fun! Oh and no kids allowed. another thing I liked about this resort is that they do care about the safety of their guests. It's a private resort, so they do keep track of who leaves and comes to the property. Just FYI, if you're not a guest, be prepared to fork over $250. read more
I had a very nice time at Secrets The Vine. I think they did a very nice job with making guests feel safe and comfortable during the CVD pandemic. I did not worry one time about cleanliness or safety. It was the perfect time for a 5 day getaway. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful, making it super relaxing. The restaurants served amazing meals, especially in the higher end restaurants at night- I'd highly recommend that steakhouse and the Italian restaurant(ate here twice, as it was delicious). I didn't have to wait once for a table, except for breakfast, during peak hours. Easy solution was to get up a little earlier and it was perfect. I've stayed at LeBlanc in Cancun before, which is the ultimate 5 star resort. The only reason I didn't give this a 5 star review, is because of the quality of alcohol served and the dated spa. I am not a big drinker, but I also don't want to drink well drink quality liquor at the same time. I did request the best top shelf they could offer, but it still was mid range products. I also was given coupons for several on site places, but couldn't use any of them, and was told by the activities agent that the coupons couldn't be used(and the front desk advised me that they could, so I should book the activity). I still went on one excursion to Tulum and it was amazing(Tulum Jungle). Also, the spa needs a major renovation(looks very dated), and the fees for services were very high compared to things in the US(and there weren't really any notable services that you can't get at home for less). I'd suggest asking for a tour of the spa facility before booking, so you can determine for yourself. I would complement the beach area, because it had the best largest beach compared to other hotels in the area, which was clean and inviting. * Tip- gentlemen please pack dress slacks in order to get into the higher end restaurants, due to the dress code* read more

Really really incredible hotel. All inclusive food is great- not overly greasy, heavy, or over ripe. The fresh options are actually fresh. Amenities are A++++. 3 different pools to choose from. Outdoor bars for drinks. Beach is beautiful, clean, with lounge chairs available. The location is gated with staff standing by for checking/ out when leaving the grounds. Which I did not mind at all, just to ensure only guests are on the grounds. The hotel staff were AMAZING. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely good natured. Recommend this all in-conclusive to anyone. LOVE that it's adults only. read more
One of the best hotel and services in Cancun. Great staffs and friendly services. Lots of activities like volleyball , karaoke , football night with buffet , live music and wine and tequila tasting every night to keep you occupied. Only restaurants that's good is the blue water grill steak house , and sea salt for lunch . Market cafe for good buffet breakfast . Avoid all other restaurants . They changed menu every 6 months so I'll come back next time . Nice clean hotel , clean beaches with nice blue water and great services . read more

Hands down! Thumbs up! This is the best best best best best best best best best hotel resorts ever! Mostly helpful staff imaginable. I can't recall names because I'm terrible with names but the staff at market cafe is awesome! Expect to gain a few pounds because food quality and quantity is out of this world good! Many bars to choose from, mojito and pina colada! I will be back next year same time only longer !!!!! I never had such a wonderful experience at a hotel resort like this one. read more

We just got home from a spectacular getaway at Secrets the Vine. We loved the welcoming atmosphere, exquisite service, and options available to us during our trip. The lobby has tons of cozy places to site as well as options for games (we played Jenga and scrabble during our stay). If you want cards, they have them for purchase at the store for a few bucks, but none available for free. I was a bit disappointed to find that sunscreen isn't provided in the room with the shampoo/lotion/amenities like it is in all other secrets properties I've visited in the past. Since we were only staying 4 nights, I had purposely planned to carry on a bag, and not bring sunscreen and just take advantage of the complimentary bottle. Not having it meant $23 sunscreen purchase in the store. When one resort is different than the "norm"- it can be annoying. Staff: incredibly accommodating Food: overall, we loved the food. We were slightly disappointed in the lack of upscale a la carte Mexican food for dinner. I understood by all literature that the buffet turned into a la carte at night, but that wasn't the case during our visit. Dragon was the best! Sushi and nigiri for days, pad Thai was flavorful, green chicken curry was my best bite of the trip. Note: the sushi orders come with 4 pieces each unlike the standard 8 (we ordered a lot - and they were kind!). Best roll was the spicy tuna). The edamame has a citrus squeeze on top that makes it absolutely delicious and kind of addictive. Nebbiolo food was good, but service was a bit lacking. No one told us about the salad bar, waiter was inattentive, and eating took 2.5 hours with lukewarm plates My osso bucco made up for the service time, but my pasta loving husband was pretty bummed with his carbonara. The tiramisu was decadent and delicious, served in a mini martini glass. Olio had great apps, but entrees weren't hugely appealing to us since we only had 4 nights. We stopped in there during our wait for Nebbiolo to have some hummus and falafel. Steakhouse, blue water grill was wonderful. My steak was huge, cooked to a perfect medium rare, and super flavorful. Pro tip- they put a huge scoop of dressing in the bottom of the bowl of Caesar salad- if you prefer a lightly dressed salad, ask for it on the side! Poolside bites of chips and guacamole, burgers, fries, and hot dogs are self service at the bar at barefoot grill. Load up a plate, carry it back to your lounge chair and make everyone around you jealous! You can also order off a menu at the pool, but we opted to get it ourselves. Seemed easier. We had lunch one day at sea salt grill- it was good, but not our favorite. For dinner, they serve a completely different menu. Their desserts are delicious (try the passion fruit cheesecake!). In room dining in the evening is a hard pass- I had one night where we came in around 9 and I wanted to grab dessert. It took over an hour and was not with the wait. Next time, I'd grab tiramisu to go from Nebbiolo! The ladies serving caffeine and treats in the vine bazaar are amazing! The drinks are perfect, and they make them beautifully. My triple shot americano with caramel was met with smiles and "es un placer". Tip: spend $3 for a reusable cup. Cheap souvenir to re use during your stay. That means you can get a bigger drink and take it to the pool (and it will stay hot!). At night market cafe serves up cookies, brownies, and buttery hot pretzels. It was always fun to swing by to see what new treats they had out. The beach and pools were magnificent. Clean, plenty of seats. We preferred the smaller pool closest to the ocean. If you like things quiet- get out early and snag chairs at the ocean front. Spa: massages were good, mini facial I upgraded to with my massage wasn't my favorite. It felt rushed and like something my therapist wasn't trained on. Resort coupons were pretty useless since listed pricing for spa is inflated and coupons can only be used for full price treatments. Onsite, they will offer 20-30% less to fill the spots. We paid $179 for an 80 min massage, and $199 for a 50 min massage and mini facial. All spa appts come with a trip (or two) through the hydrotherapy circuit: make sure your spa escort shows you the ropes. My husband got told a lot of info my lady skipped! Entertainment: fine for a city property. They had an electric violinist, guitarist, a trio, some tenors, a burlesque show, and a broadway sing thru while we were there. After the epic cirque se soleil type shows and dancing performances at secrets punta Cana, these seems much more subdued. If you're in it for beach and food/drinks- the vine is the ticket. All in all, our trip was spectacular. Ask for a painkiller (coconut rum drink) at the bar, lean back, apply some sunscreen, and enjoy! read more
(NOTE I'm writing from the viewpoint of Preferred Club members.) Upon arrival, the attendants immediately secured my luggage and I was escorted to the 27st. Floor for a private check-in and was able to bypass the line of new arrivals that flooded the lobby. Afterwards, I was greeted with cold champagne and a citrus scented cool wipe. As I was looking out the clear glass window behind my receptionist, I was amazed at the ability to see both The Ocean and Bayside as is curved into downtown. He went on to explain how I was assigned my own Butler, unlimited room service, open bar in the room, private lobby for coffee/snacks and private access to The Infinity Pool. Finally, he escorted me into #2704: Two 7ft foot closets, full glass double shower(Rain & traditional), 65" HDTV fully loaded with Netflix, Google, YouTube, that had Apple Airplay capability; a king size bed with numerous pillows, fully stocked refrigerator and mini bar, 5 different lighting phases from Relaxed up to Total, and finally a full size balcony that could hold a table of breakfast and two chairs. Staff are very friendly. Very nice hotel with luxurious amenities. Gym can use some detailed cleaning - you can see some sweat drips on some equipment, otherwise it's ok. Restaurant food are hit and miss. Some dishes are great but some are just ok. Check in wait was long - not until 3pm. Also they try to pressure sell you with their vacation packages and membership that are very pricy. Entertainment is excellent. They try hard to keep all occupied. Some areas in hotel stay warm and humid. Sinks in my room would not drain or very slow. All in all it was a good experience with the all inclusive package with very readable pricing. read more

My husband and I came here for our honeymoon in November and it was the best trip we have ever had! The food was delicious, the staff was awesome, and the spa was amazing! We definitely plan to come back. They went above and beyond to celebrate us from decorating our room with rose petals and providing a free bottle of champagne to giving us a free cake with sparklers at dinner. We definitely plan to come back. read more

Everything about this resort is amazing. My husband and I came here for the first time for our honeymoon 4 years ago in Nov 2019 and had a wonderful time. We decided to make it a yearly tradition for each anniversary to stay at a different resort in Cancun each year, but thanks to covid and starting a business, we weren't able to do it. 4 years later, in Sept 2023, we were finally able to take another vacation and decided to just come back to Secrets the Vine, since we had such a great time the first time. The food and service at all of the restaurants is delicious and timely - they are very aware of any food allergies/sensitivies. The beautiful turquoise blue beach is private and clean. The service for drinks was great, as well. They have an entertainment team who plans so many fun acitivities, like beach volleyball, pictionary, etc. The rooms were also clean and spacious. Both times we've come here, we have been 10/10 satisfied!! I cried standing on the balcony as we were leaving. Cannot wait to go back, hopefully sooner rather than later! :) read more
We booked Secrets the Vine for our first year wedding anniversary and I must say hands down one of the best vacations ever! The hotel staff greeted us with cold towels and a glass of champagne upon our arrival. Yes please!! Everyone is very polite and helpful at Secrets the Vine: from concierge to room service we are very happy that they treated is this nicely Room cleanliness and fresh odor wish I could give 10 stars just because of this :) shower caps and vanity much appreciated if your hair gets freeze-y in humid weather like mine does The most fun part is they have water activities such as Zumba in the pool and nice acrobatic shows by the pool. Cain has been very helpful with directions, service, and great photographic skills!!! Make sure to bring enough cash to tip the hard working staff well. They appreciated that much when my husband genuinely tipped. The name of this hotel is not luxurious for no reason, everyone works really hard to live up the standards and I highly recommend all inclusive Secrets for anyone who wants to visit cancun. read more

Our trip started on 8/16/24 You walk into the lobby and to start to sweat. It had an foul oder in the lobby. stayed 10 days 5 of the day the wifi was out. Not just for us but other on different floors as well. I was on the 18th floor,upgraded to the 24 floor(which is the preferred member) jokes on me .Spoke to the manager (vivdiana) and Aldo. Both told us there was nothing that can be done " their hands are tied because they're changing providers.(For 5 days. Um ok lol) I we were told we can come to the lobby to use the wifi,(from the 24th floor)The modem blinked ALL NIGHT,red,yellow and green. We were told it's old so it will do that. Bs. I will say on the 9th day of our Stay we were move to the 27th and guess what wifi is out and a,light is blinking. Again no wifi. Called front desk and was told they would send someone up at 10:45 cancun time. This was our first time in cancun and also we were told they're better adults only All-Inclusive hotels/resorts here. Food was average, I guess. Steak house is the best thing here. Think twice three time ,maybe four before you chose this place read more

For a first visit into Cancun, staying at this hotel was the best choice we've made. The level of service is stellar, the food selection and quality is really nice and the location is nearly perfect. As it is an all inclusive resort I was happy to drink and eat will (although I will say the drinks aren't very strong unless you ask for an extra kick--but I get it, can't risk having every guest getting overly drunk). Our room was located on the 25th floor, facing south, giving us view of both the lagoon and the ocean. Very spacious, clean and well designed, it gave us the sense of privacy and relaxation we were looking for on our short getaway weekend. My only negative remark would be about late night in-room dining. Although the menu selection is pretty wide, the quality of the meals served drops DRASTICALLY from what is offered during the day in the various restaurants. I stayed here for a girls trip 6/30 to 7/3. This hotel was very safe and clean. I loved the smell and ambiance of the lobby and 1st floor. It's definitely not a "party" hotel. I felt like it was more for couples. The food was not memorable at all! I was sad about that. The best restaurant on the property was the Italian spot called Nebbiolo. The drinks were trash also! The liquor was bottom shelf and tasted very watered down. The pool and beach area was nice for photos and lounging. Our room was just ok. Nothing special. We were frustrated trying to figure out how to use the light switches and keep the lights on. We did have an ocean view with a balcony which I loved. I went to a local store and bought my own liquor and we ate off-site for dinner which saved our trip. Due to the poor food and drinks I give this hotel 3 stars. I would consider going back as a couple and knowing the drinks are bad and booking offsite reservations for good food! read more

WARNING: Long review! I had a magical and beautiful wedding ceremony here May 2019, and we (my wife and our guests) absolutely loved the resort! Yamina is a PHENOMENAL wedding planner. Was I a bit bridezilla-ish? Possibly. Our wedding was absolutely perfect! From our ceremony to the reception, she perfectly matched our wedding to the pictures I provided. The Room: WOW! One of the best suites we have ever had (and we travel a ton). We stayed in the preferred club master suite ocean front king room. It is over 1300 sq ft! The closet space was ridiculously impressive! It was perfect for all the wedding items we brought with us. The balcony was expansive!! It literally wrapped around almost the entire suite (at least a 50 feet). There was a sitting room upon entering AND a living room area. There were also two full bathrooms. The master bathroom was phenomenal: dual rain shower, double sinks, large jacuzzi tub, and private toilet room. We loved our comfy robe and slippers as well! I would LOVE to spoil myself and stay there again. The food: -Room service: EVERYONE complained about room service! It consistently took longer than an hour. The shortest wait time we received was 1 hour. -Restaurants: Everything we tried was great! The Ossobuco was the best thing we had in the resort! I ate at the Sea Salt Grill several times by the pool. -Poolside Grill: Meh. That is an absolute no for me. I do not like bland burgers, stale fries and cold nachos. Yes, these are all accurate descriptions of the food there. Absolute hard pass. Amenities: -The jacuzzi is open 24/7 -They have GREAT shows! Truly the best shows I have ever encountered at an all inclusive! -Fun activities galore! Example: pool and beach volleyball daily, dance classes, margarita classes. They did a great cinco de mayo event while we were there as well. -The ocean is beautiful! Great for wave jumping. -The gym is nice, but I did not get a chance to utilize the facilities. -Spa: We enjoyed a couple's hot stone massage that was great! There was a sauna, large jacuzzi, cold shower, and much more so go early! Butler service is a joke. I would not pay extra for it. The only time it actually came in handy was on our wedding day. They worked hard for us! Bringing champagne, fruit, etc. It was great. If we attempted to utilize it before or after that day, we never received a swift response. read more

Read This Before Booking This Place I'll start with the few positives. Room was nice and spacious with rap around balcony and good views. We looked for food and had snacks at The Vine in Lobby. The desserts were good but that's where it stops. This resort has the worst food we've ever had at a resort! Every restaurant has below average food and the in-room service food is the worst! If you like bland, unseasoned hospital diabetic, low quality food, this may be a good place for you to go. We went for New Year's Eve expecting a good experience. Even the NYE Dinner was average which consists of a greasy overcooked steak that we had to wait 1.5 hours to get. The staff does not care about your requests or complaints. No food or alcoholic drinks available after midnight after NEW YEAR countdown. We were told that pizza was being served but nobody told the pizza server and she tried to convince us they could only serve coffee for the rest of the night. Went to front desk and they called her to make pizza which we didn't get till about 30-45 mins later after she broke down and cleaned the entire kitchen area. Then, after waiting, the pizza was DISGUSTING! Yuck! We had to leave the resort to get a good meal. Thank goodness Porfirio's is right across the street. It was pricey but by this time (3 days in), we were desperate to have a good meal. The Sports Bar stayed mostly vacant when it was supposed to be open. When it finally did open, get ready to wait at least 45-60 minutes for watery cheese nachos and disgusting hot wings and other American food that tastes like crap. The sauce on the hot wings will make you gag. It's horrible. The nacho cheese is so watery and tasteless that it almost tastes like it's made with powdered cheese and who thought it was a good idea to put carrots on nachos? Not me. Was going to take the club sandwich back to the room so my wife could have a snack when she awoke from her nap. Was told you can't take anything TO GO from the restaurants. Went to front desk to ask why we couldn't take anything back to the room and he just said basically, it is what it is. Basic things are hard to find or unavailable at this place: Shredded cheese, salsa, sour cream, tacos (yes tacos are hard to find at this resort), cilantro, ranch dressing, etc. Mentioned that I would put this in my review and he (front desk) seemed to care less just like the majority of the staff. Was told we must order (nasty) room service for in room dining. I am not a picky person but this place is SO OVERPRICED for what you actually get. Don't book here until you look at my pictures of the food and other things. We had a great experience at the Hyatt Ziva and will go there again next time we visit. We will never come back here...we are only on Day 3 now but I felt compelled to start writing my review before I leave; that's how disappointed I am with this place so check back for pics later. I spent four days at this all inclusive resort. The location was great it was right on the beach. Our room was on the 17th floor overlooking downtown Cancun. It was super easy to get transportation from the taxis that were standing by to take you anywhere you wanted to go. The staff was very friendly and they were very particular with the Covid restrictions. They all were wearing mask. Someone was always whipping down or steaming surfaces. I felt really safe. The room had a complimentary mini bar and room service. The room service did have a wait time of an hour which sucked. But we ordered that only for breakfast because the breakfast buffet was not that great. They had pretty good restaurants on site but they had a 30-45 minute wait. I think my favorite part was the Spa. The spa treatment is amazing. We got to take advantage of the steam room the sauna abs get 89 minute massages. Just lovely! The gym was a nice too. Could've been a bit bigger because it got crowded but just go early! I will stay here again! read more

Absolutely amazing experience! When they say "All Inclusive", they mean it. All food and drinks were free, free room service, free mini bar, and all the snacks you can eat at The Vine Bar! This is our 4th visit to Cancun and 3rd at a Secrets resort. Previously we visited Silver Sands and Maroma Beach. This time I booked our 6 night stay using Costco Travel. SUMMARY: 4 stars overall Secrets the Vine is geared towards adults who want to relax, enjoy the pool or spa, or are major wine drinkers. Wine tasting, wine pairings, a gigantic wine cellar, and even wine massages are offered here. This might not be the best place for wild partying and night time entertainment. One big plus is that unlike Silver Sands and Maroma Beach, no mosquito bites here! ROOMS: 5 stars We got a junior suite. Modern, spacious, and very comfortable. The resort is like a big building with luxury condos. You'll be using elevators quite a bit. Rooms are quiet, beds are comfy, and lots of storage. SERVICE: 4 stars They're quick with drinks and the entertainment staff were really friendly and good - Bili and Alberto were a hoot. Dining waitstaff somewhat on the slow side, and it took a call from us to get our luggage delivered. ENTERTAINMENT: 3 stars Not a lot of night time options or elaborate productions. Silver Sands is way better in this dept. Things tend to close down around 930pm around here. They had decent day-time dance lessons, pool aerobics, a fun Spanish lesson, and a daily parade of chefs with goodies from the kitchen. GYM: 4 stars Located on the 12th floor overlooking the beach and sea. Clean facilities - mostly machines and just two benches and a Smith Machine (which I refuse to use). FOOD: 4 stars Our favorite were Sea Salt Grill (Peruvian grill with awesome ceviches, roasted chicken, and grilled fish) and Bluewater Grill (excellent ribeye). Next was Olio, their Mediterranean outdoor restaurant with Greek and Lebanese kebabs and Spanish Tapas. Beachside paella and mariscada (shellfish stew) prepared by Barefoot grill was excellent. Our least favorite was Dragons (very mediocre Asian food). Nebbiolo, the Italian restaurant, had great apps and mains but the pastas were way too salty and/or rich. Their buffet, Market Cafe, was one of the best I've seen in terms of quality and variety - exotic fruits, Mexican specialties, even cronuts! FACILITIES: 4 stars Pools were well maintained, as was the small beach area. Plenty of lounge chairs. Inside the first floor, they have multiple bars, coffee shop, and lots of places to sit. read more

We stayed here for 9 days over Christmas. Just my husband and I. We had a very nice and relaxing time and met some very nice people. There is no swim up bar at this place but they do have people in each section getting drinks for everyone. We tried to stay in Roberto's area as he was pretty fast. They do have 3 main pools then a private pool upstairs you can upgrade to have access to. The activity group at the pool were amazing. I did water aerobics every day at noon. Then they had pool black jack, margarita making class. And much more. Manny, Angel, Tanya were amazing and I'm sure I'm missing someone. We really liked The Dragon restaurant the best and didn't care much for the steak restaurant. Because of Covid everything in Mexico shuts down at 11 so your not able to get drinks after that time or any entertainment which is kinda a bummer but understandable. We felt pressured during the timeshare presentation and would probably never do it again. We got a free spa day for doing it but they went way over the 90 minute maximum they said, then kept pressuring us, not cool. But this will not keep me from coming back as we did enjoy ourselves, just will not do the presentation again. read more

I absolutely love this hotel. My stay was from 7/15/21 to 7/20/21, and it was amazing. The staff was awesome everyone was nice and approachable. The hotel itself was nice and clean, the staff cleaned throughout the day and night. Housekeeping came around twice a day. You get a glass of champagne/wine upon arrival. I felt safe at this hotel, I like how they get your information before you leave just in case of an emergency. It was all inclusive majority of all the food I had was good. The nachos, fish tacos, beef tacos, and short rib were very tasty. Kewei at the pool was amazing very helpful and social, loved his personality. For dinner I ate at Dragons everything was delicious our waiter Juan was awesome loved him. The blue water grill was also good their short rib, steak and cheesecake was delicious. The market cafe was also a good place to eat. I will definitely stay here again. read more

The resort overall is beautiful as is the rooms. The restaurants are hit and miss, some have really good food others not so good, maybe just ok. The rooms are very nice and spacious, we had an oceanview room and the view was breath taking. The staff is top notch, very friendly and always willing to assist. What I didn't like were a couple things. Their sports bar only had 1 pool table for the whole resort. Really? If you like to drink liquor "I" found that it was watered down.......a lot. What's the point of having all drinks included if you're watering down your liquor. I would have preferred to buy my own liquor, at least I would have enjoyed it more. And finally, we made the mistake of doing a vacation club presentation. DON'T DO IT! They said the presentation was only 90 minutes long. Don't fall for the banana in a tail pipe gimmick. We spent 3 hours at this presentation! Overall, around I suggest this resort? Yes I would because my personal experience is not going to be everyone's experience. However, I would not stay at this resort again when I return to Cancun. read more

I am here for 9 days and 8 nights... I do not want to leave. It's the end of day 2 and I am completely relaxed. I got the couples massage and the full body scrub. The massage was so relaxing. I literally fell asleep at one point. The full body scrub left my body exploited and soft. I also got a basic manicure. The basic manicure is 44$. You're definitely paying for the convince and great service. The food is so good. I have been eating way too much. It's just heaven at this resort. Definitely pay the extra for the preferred package. You get special access to different parts of the resort. read more

First of all, despite a few critiques, this place definitely deserves 5 stars. The property is gorgeous, the food is good and consistent, and the service was exceptional. We upgraded our room to the honeymoon suite and we got this amazing wraparound balcony...totally worth it. The restaurants are pretty good...we liked the Asian place and the steakhouse best. The appetizers at the sports bar were surprisingly tasty. No waiting. The pools were clean and because it is adults-only, quiet and relaxing. Not crowded in the least...so finding a chair and an umbrella was easy. Lots of wait staff to help. Just a few critiques: -The pools only stay open until 8. I like late night swimming or jacuzzi so this was inconvenient. -Food was good but in general the desserts lacked flavor. The coffee shop had fresh cookies that were great though. -Although there was a wide range of age groups there it was odd that there was no "club-like" bar. No dancing, no karaoke night. In fact the whole building constantly played this zen music you'd expect during a massage...a tad annoying and sleepy. read more

The most amazing hotel I have ever been to. Five stars alone for being an adults only hotel. Extremely elegant and classy glass, steel, and wood construction. The staff are incredible! All amenities included in the one price per night stay, meaning all restaurants, room service, and bars. I avoid buffet style dining, but we did breakfast and lunch for an amazingly delicious array of local foods and drinks, with mimosas brought to our table. My friend acquired a membership to the chain of branded hotels. Secrets has a family hotel, as well as singles, and other interest hotels. read more

Amazing! I'm so glad to come to the all inclusive junior suite package! Food is amazing! Drinks were legit! And the best part of this is everyone here treated me like royalty! Alejandro from the Blue Water Grill made dinner experiences amazing! Fernando covered the VIP pool area like a beast! Best mango margaritas I have ever had! I def would recommend and come back! Also with the whole COVID they made sure to clean and sanitize constantly! I felt very safe and comfortable! read more
