Solid comfort food. Fries and nachos were good but the fish taco was pretty great. Overall though, just felt like higher end cafeteria food and it was quite unremarkable. The arcade side seemed interesting.... and they have laser tag so maybe i'll come back for that LOL Food: 6/10 Service: 6/10 Vibes: 5/10 Value: 5/10

I've often seen the sign for Sector 19 driving round the Hayward loop but never understood until now what it was. My sister, Elite, had booked a private event here for my nephew and niece's 10 and 12th birthdays for them and their friends and all their parents. There's a nice backroom with tables and a little lounge area with couches in the room, a TV that plays some music videos and billiards table for the adults while the kids play. We ordered the pizza package , which was reasonably priced per head considering you get a few games of laser tag with food as well and drinks. The restaurant, craft eatery is co-opped with the venue, so the food was legit food and definitely not the nasty pre-frozen stuff you might expect from a Chuck-E-Cheese or something. We ordered extras like nachos, which were really addicting and crunchy and cheesy and the chicken wings were really good too, really crunchy and flavorful and freshly fried and hot. There's so many activities for the kids to do to keep them busy. My sister did the add-on of VR for the kids as well. So they got to take turns . The laser tag experience was soooo fun for all the kids. It was chaotic but it was nice seeing them play like normal with their friends. Also a small arcade in the front like ski ball, basketball, shooter games, and prize games. I also appreciate there's a bar for the adults and a billiards table so the adults just hung out and socialized as well. My brothers had their fun going down the list of beers one at a time. The staff was very attentive especially in attending to the kids at the party. I have nothing but good things to say about this place and most likely will be celebrating more of our kids' parties here in the future. The food, for me which is if not the most important thing when it comes to throwing a party, was REALLY good, legit restaurant good because it's from the craft-eatery The place is fun for both adults and kids. I really like the private setup with couches and chairs and billiards and alcoholic drinks for the adults. And the service was above par, the staff member tending to our party and helping the kids last night was excellent. One last thing to mention is that the place felt clean, not groady or sticky like most little kids play places feel like, which is super important especially during these times. The kids couldn't have had a better birthday this year.

Super cute local arcade with delicious grub and a sick laser tag arena! Definitely check it out.

My husband and I were so excited to eat here again but we were SO underwhelmed and disappointed. We came on an evening 6/17. I ordered the club sandwich and at first it looked delicious! But, the bottom bread was completely soggy/mushy and not edible. I pushed on it and you could see the liquid come out :(. I ended up taking the bottom bread off. My husband ordered the burger and he said it lacked flavor and just wasn't enjoyable. The salad was decent and the fries were good. We also ordered fried green beans and remember those being better as well. Our favorite part of the meal was the aioli. We are hoping we went on a bad kitchen day. I hope I can update my review!

    Laser tag 25+ kids !

I just wanted to write this review to commend what an incredible job JC's team did with my sons birthday party. We had over 80 guests and had two groups of Laser Tag kids and several littles! The owner, JC , the hosts to the party Amie and Carina were fabulous! Big Thank you for the level of organization and support through the process from beginning to end! Truly, thank you so much for making this a memorable and stress free event! They took care of us ! We will continue to do parties and do regular visits to Sector 19 Hayward !

    The Miso Salmon was delicious!

Today Saturday 02/25/23 was our first time here, this place was suggested by a parent on my daughters soccer team and it did not disappoint. Not only was the food delicious but the service was second to none. My son spilled his entire drink on the floor and immediately upon informing the staff a nice man came out and mopped and dried the area not once did he make us feel bad about having to clean up that big of a mess and for that we are extra thankful.

    Thanks for having us!

This was our first visit to Sector 19 and we had an excellent time celebrating a very memorable red egg and ginger party. As a parent, I appreciated that staff seemed mindful of the activity areas and spaces and often saw them regularly cleaning/disinfecting. There was lots of signage posted reassuring us of this as well. We noticed there's no shortage of arcade games to choose from for both the little ones and adult kids and our time playing laser tag was truly the highlight for us! It felt like we burned a ton of calories running around chasing each other. This was also super kid/adult friendly and they make it very easy for all ages to join and play. Their craft eatery is super convenient and offers a pretty yummy spread of food, . We plan on returning to host our own celebrations and parties!

Sector 19 was an amazing experience! There were so many different types of games and activities for kids and adults, like laser tag, virtual reality games, and arcade games. We started off with laser tag and that was awesome. Easy to learn the game and rules, but so much strategy once you get in the maze! It was a good workout and exhilarating when people pop out from behind a wall. You get a score and rankings after the match so you can talk trash for days. The VR gaming was heart pounding. I played the zombie game and it was easy enough... until you get to the night time level and the zombies start rushing you from all directions IN THE DARK. . They also had simple and games for kids. The arcade area had the fun arcade action games, prize games, traditional pinball games, skee ball, and basketball. There were games for adults (like basketball and pinball) and the kids (skee ball and the those prize games). You also get tickets so you can earn prizes. The entire family had a great time. We've gone back a few times and will definitely be coming back for more. This is a must have in your regular rotation. Also the food from Craft was delicious! Check my review on that but definitely get the kali burger, fries, green bean fries, chicken sandwich, wings, churros, salmon Caesar salad, locoest Moco, summer breeze, orange mango twist, and I'm sure I'll add more when I try them.

What a wonderful hidden gem in downtown Hayward! I wouldn't have known this place existed if it wasn't for Yelp. A friend and I decided to come here for a playdate with the kiddies. My only tiny complaint is that they're only open 5-9 on certain days, but I get that they probably don't get much biz in the daytime during the week so it's understandable. The outside gives no indication of what you'll find inside. I was pleasantly surprised at how spacious it was! The space is separated into a few sections. There are two main spaces, one for the eatery and the other for the arcade. Inside the arcade are your staple arcade games (most are new or almost new), laser tag, and a VR games. The arcade was fun, but the biggest surprise was the food! Their Craft Eatery has some delicious and GENEROUS offerings. Burger and fries were so good! Fries are super crispy and fresh, and their burgers come STACKED! Their loco moco is super yummy! The only thing is, they sprinkle a generous amount of green onions on top (and I think there's some mixed in with the rice as well). I love green onions, but my kids... not so much. They like loco moco so I ordered it for them but I ended up eating most of it because we all got tired of picking off the green onions. Oh well, more food for me! They also have some craft sodas and a selection of beer on tap... perfect pairing for your scrumptious meal. Staff was super nice, patient, and informative. We had a lot of questions but they answered with plenty of details, and were happy to answer any follow up questions we had. Not only was the entire place spacious, but it was also really clean! I was impressed with how clean the restrooms were, especially for a place with so many kids going in and out. Sector 19 has definitely been added to our list of places to frequent. Can't wait for our next vist!

Churros - the best I've had! Crunchy, chewy and not too sweet... perfect!

This time around i used my saved up tickets to get a small plush just so i can leave with a prize. Back then, you see everyone holding plushies and walking around. Now, maybe a few lucky winners? They filled a lot of the space with the mini claw machines. Do not play these!! You will not win! The claw strength for most of the machines are zero to none now and they have bumped up the prices for all of the claw machine games. They even force you to pay more for less credits now. Now it's either $120 or $140 ($110 before) and the credits definitely don't last as long anymore. Bad economy i guess. Don't come here if you actually want the prizes After using up 450 credits, i gave up and tried playing one of the marble games, the machine malfunctioned and refused to pay out the tickets. Asked someone to come look, a angry mechanic lady came by and walked around the machine, took a glance and left. I thought they needed to get help or something so i'm just sitting here and waiting for 30 minutes for them to come and try to fix it. Spoiler: they didn't come back to fix it nor come back to give an explanation to us. When i checked back at the reception, they said they sent someone to look at the machine but no one was at the machine(?) I AM LITERALLY SITTING IN FRONT OF THE MACHINE ARE YOU KIDDING ME. Then they sent the same angry mechanic to come back, who gave me a mean glare, opened and tinkered with the machine, couldn't fix anything, and proceeded to walk away without saying a word. Another 15 minutes went by, so i went back to the counter to just ask for my credits back since i don't want to wait anymore. They said they are fixing it and i will get the tickets once they finish fixing the machine. I'm like they aren't even there. But they said they can't give me back my credits -.- Ended up taking an L and just killing off the rest of the card and leaving. It's like they can't afford to let you win It's such a scam Imma just wait until I go back to Japan where it's like a dollar each play and there's actually a chance to win things. Good bye Hayward Round one.

Castro Valley hosts this mini golf spot that's an affiliate of the Golfland family and features its two 18-hole ranges perfect for beginners and experts alike. After a few rounds on the green, consider venturing into their arcades to play some good old fashioned video games (Time Crisis and other dual player shooters, Mario Kart and other racing games, and fighting games) and skill games (like skee ball, table air hockey, and claw machines). Be wary, however, for those who have game cards from other Golflands, they're location specific so they won't work here unless you have one from this spot. Starting from the giant parking lot which is just off of a busy street, you'll make your way through the gates and stroll up the long walkway to the front desk where you'll register to get your clubs and balls (you'll get your choice from among a few colors). From there, you'll have your pick of the two courses, one for novices and one for the more adventurous. Make your way through the obstacles and mark your scorecard to determine the winner of bragging rights! We came for a birthday party and logistically, they have the main room amongst the beginner course which is well lit from all the open windows but I believe they have another space near the arcade for those looking for a more enclosed, private gathering. Once the guests arrived, they hosted an orientation and got the members all equipped and ready to go. The youngsters had a lot of fun and can't wait to return! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. You'll interact with them more at the arcades especially if you'll be redeeming prizes with your hard-earned digital tickets. The ticket values on the top tier prizes were pretty large but for frequent visitors or lucky winners, you can get some pretty neat stuff here. The mini prizes definitely reminded me of my times at the arcades when I was a kid, very nostalgic! Overall, Golden Tee Golfland is a well-maintained, family friendly environment conducive to an awesome time outdoors as well as an exhilarating experience soaking up the old school arcade vibe. We accumulated a ton of steps during our visit here and the kids could not stop hitting the greens to get their fluorescently colored balls into the holes. The obstacles are fun - there are water effects and moving doors and bridges. While most of them functioned as expected, there were a few hiccups with some like balls getting stuck or certain doors just not functioning as expected. For wetter seasons, the holes for the balls do end up pooling which makes picking the balls out a bit of an unpleasant endeavor. For being exposed to the outdoors, the place was in pretty good shape, however. It's a bummer that the Golflands don't have a unified system for the game cards as it just incentivizes families to just pick one and stick with it instead of venturing out and exploring the other amazing locations like this one.
