I went to pay the storage fee for a nonprofit I support and arrived at 1:23 PM. The door was locked, and the sign on the door said "Back at 1:10." While I was looking for a bell or a place to leave the check, a woman came out and immediately started yelling that she was at lunch and that I should be able to read the sign--she said she wouldn't be back until 2 PM. I told her the sign didn't say that and asked if I could simply hand her the check. She continued yelling, called me "F'ing privileged," and walked away without taking the payment. I'm genuinely shocked. Where is the customer service? Where is the basic courtesy? I wasn't asking her to cut her lunch short--I was literally trying to hand her a check, something that would have taken less time than the yelling. And the confusion could have been avoided entirely if the posted return time had been accurate. I don't speak to people I do business with that way, and I don't expect to be spoken to like that in return. This was an unnecessarily hostile and unprofessional interaction. read more

This storage facility made It very simple and easy to rent. We did everything on line and received an excellent deal. We took advantage of their incentives, and found that they had one of the best reasonably priced units in all Of Palm Springs. It is conveniently located and easy to maneuver your large moving trucks to get into the gated and secured storage unit. There is no wait time when you call, should you need anything. We dealt with Adam S., he was a pleasure to work with and he answered all of our questions and concerns. He offered us cold water bottles and was very friendly. I recently rented a storage there everything is great . I've been in the office on more than one occasion and there is a new girl there and honestly she was not being treated right by the manager who is also female. I don't think it's right for her being on the phone ALL THE TIME and not doing nothing. While the new girl is trying hard not to get in trouble so obviously she has no choice but to do what she is told . Something has to be done. read more

One star Lol there should be -000 stars. Stay away and save yourself the agony. This place is absolutely horrible. When I first signed a contract my rent was around 130 a month it's currently 184. They charge fees on top of fees on top of fees. Manager Henry will stalk you and call everyday every hour. I finally had to threaten to repot him to the authorities for harassment. It you are late they file a lien against the contents of your storage the call you every hour or email or robo calls. Personally. It's borderline extortion. I'm a month and 5 days late currently and from 130 a month I'm being charged almost $500.00 of they are treating to auction my stuff off in 12 days. I'm paying the bill but I have asked for copy of all my records to date and moving my stuff to a reputable storage facility. I'm reporting the business To the Better Business Bureau and any agency that govern storage facilities,. This is hands down the beat storage place I've ever gotten a unit from! Truly most other places are so strict about a lot of things that make you not even want to get a unit, but this place has been amazing I've had a unit there for nearly 2 years now and have never had a single problem. Total rip off! They keep raising rates without any notice/notification . My rate has gone from $91 to $161. They surely notify and literally stalk you beginning on the 1st of each month via text, calls from manager, digital calls and emails! I requested an account review and was told "I will submit your request and concerns".....no follow-up. My storage unit is located inside the office which is not always open during business hours. I have flown into town to specifically utilize my unit (during their verified business hours including lunch) and the office has been closed resulting in detrimental consequences with my travels and logistics. read more

I had a good experience with Store America. The accounting was a little off at times but it eventually got corrected. Stay on top of auto pay. Mine was set up, then lost and had to re-do it. All in all, the location is convenient and I never had a problem. Nice folks there. read more

I've given this company great reviews previously, and only because they gave me really good service. I have rented from them for years. And I was genuinely happy to recommend them to people whom I see are still renting units from them. Sadly, I have to say I would not recommend them now. I was finally able to clean out my unit today, only five days into the month which was paid for on the first. I knew from my contract that if you vacated a unit before the 10th of the month, you could get a rebate. I was even reminded of that recently by someone in the office. But when I went to the office today to let them know I was out and it was clean, I was told I couldn't get a rebate because I have to give 7 days notice before vacating. I don't remember that being a condition, but it probably is now. So long, StorAmerica. read more

THIS IS MY REVIEW. PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ IT THROUGH. IT IS ABSOLUTELY DESPICABLE WHAT HAS GONE ON SINCE MALINA AND BERNIE ARE NO LONGER WORKING THERE. I AM VERY SORRY FOR THE BAD LANGUAGE, I WAS EXTREMELY EMOTIONAL. early this past wednesday morning 06/10/2017 i was working In my storage unit because it was 108 degrees that day and completely unbearable inside. while walking to the restroom i heard meowing that came from inside a storage unit. i used to have a unit three doors down. i know how hot it is inside. i called our security the guard arrived quickly.after briefing him of what i heard he went to the door, knocked again a few meows were heard. the guard said "there definitely is a cat in there" he was unable to do anything except make a report. which he did. when the animal shelter opened i asked if they could do anything. they could not but referred me to the animal control officer. i called the palm springs police department for the animal control officer. i was told somebody from STORAMERICA office had already called (because i told the maintenance man) they were informed that since it is private property, the manager could open it get the cat and re-secure the unit legally. the office at my facility was closed the entire day for an offsite staff meeting. it is again over 100 degrees outside. about 6:30pm, the temporary/replacement "manager" (i use that title in the loosest possible way, hence quotation marks), HENRY drives by my unit so i go running out to his car. he was aware of the cat situation. i say i am so glad you are here. Henry tells me he is going to try and contact the man who rents the unit. an hour later he drives by again. does not stop to speak to me so i walked over to his car again. he is on the phone but smiles and gives me a thumbs up he says, "i got a hold of the guy he will be here soon to take care of it." as he said this, he was opening the door of another unit. when he got the door open he was fanning the air that came out of the unit saying "whew it is really hot in here" this unit was 2 door down from where the cat was. Henry was taking pictures of some trash left on the floor of the unit. i asked him if he was going to wait for the man, "no" he replied as he closed the door to the other unit again commenting on how hot it was inside. i said imagine what it feels like with a fur jacket on. he just got in his car and left. HE DID NOT CARE ABOUT THE CAT. i waited until midnight the man never came. i went the next evening to the facility and my informers told me the man had not come all day. now friday, i went over to feed the feral cats as i always do. this time i heard desperate meowing. i mean desperate. i freaked out totally. this is now 3 days that i know of this cat has been in 120-130 degree storage unit. as far as i could tell nobody ever came and THAT WAS FUCKING IT. i went home grabbed a cat carrier, cat food and a bottle of cold water too. i asked a friend to drive me back over because i was distraught. walked up to the unit and cut the padlock off. panicked meowing started as i opened the door... THERE WERE 9 CATS IN CAGES INSIDE THE UNIT ALL WITHOUT FOOD OR WATER. WERE IS THE WORKING WORD OF THAT SENTENCE BECAUSE ONE OF THEM WAS FUCKING DEAD. IT LOOKED LIKE HE TRIED SO HARD TO GET OUT OF THE UNIT HIS PAW WAS STUCK IN THE DOOR OF THE CAGE. i called the animal control officer, told them i cut the lock off the unit and what i had found. an hour later a palm springs police officer showed up. after i told him what i had done and found, he said and i quote verbatim, "its just a cat. there are lots of cats." i opened the gate for him and another officer had arrived as well. he interrogated me quite a bit then went inside the unit. apparently, they thought it was serious and the called the animal control officer to come. after double checking my information, because i broke the law by cutting off the lock and going in, "breaking and entering" the officer told me, "next time lora, call us. do not break into someones unit again." and said i was free to go. lora l. mattal read more
