    Worst customer experience ever.

    Stamp is unreadable? Worst customer experience ever. I was told by two different employees that the other employee would help me, and there was a fight among them about not helping me.

    Gabriel is AWESOME! He checked me in with my rental this morning and was an absolute sweetheart! I rent from UHaul at least once a month. Usually from Oceanside to Ramon Rd. Service here has always been excellent due to employees like, Gabriel! Thanks, UHaul!

    Perspective of the only information as to where to leave the truck. Blocked by Canopy poles and other trucks!!!

    The truck was fine (I rented it in Riverside, and just dropped it off at this location). I parked the return next to other trucks of its size in the lot. As I got out I was barked at to move it to the line up in the middle of the lot. I moved the truck, got out, and because there were no instructions, I went inside (only to be told to go back out and wait by the truck). When I pointed out that they could use some signage to instruct customers, I was told "there is a sign, under the canopy". This small sign, 3 feet off the ground under a 20 foot tall canopy was hidden by the poles of the canopy and the 3 trucks in line in front if me... Maybe a large arrow on the ground leading to the canopy? Or a RETURNS sign at the top of this 20 foot tall canopy where it could easily be seen? (Or an employee in the lot providing information BEFORE you park and get out of the return?) I don't work there... I was the customer (but zero "welcome" or any customer direction/experience that was professional). U-Haul rents to regular people (not professional truck drivers who might be more use to the vague employee free parking lot and rough directions). But the rest if us just want to drop off the truck after a long day of whatever we were doing that required renting a truck... U-Haul, do better

    Very nice staff and equipment and selection, pickup was easy, van was clean. Drop off was also easy.

But then I found this place....and mostly the manager, Elaine!! My storage unit experience this time has been an awesome one, and that has mostly to do with Elaine. As someone who was in charge of customer satisfaction at a highly stressful job, I know the challenges of providing exceptional customer service , and still keep the office and admin flowing smoothly and efficiently. It's hard y'all! But Elaine does all of that and she does it with a smile and she has several times gone above and beyond to assist me with deliveries to my unit. As someone who works 13 hr shifts and is also in the middle of a building project, I just can't stress enough how much Elaine has taken away some of the stress off of my life during this busy time! And on top of that, the security and cleanliness of the facilities are top notch!! Thanks Elaine, for all big and small ways you help make people's lives better with your kindness and your ability to provide the kind of customer service that is hard to find these days!!

    I had an absolutely horrible experience with Extra Space Storage. I logged in to pay my bill and…read moresaw a charge that made no sense, so I called my storage location. Unfortunately, I got Sharon, who was extremely unprofessional and clearly has no idea how to speak to customers or handle even basic criticism. When I asked to speak to a manager, she said she didn't know when he'd be in. I asked for a callback, and she flat-out told me she didn't know if or when he would call then hung up on me while I was still talking. That alone is unacceptable. I called back, and she kept sending me straight to voicemail. When she finally answered, instead of trying to fix anything, she immediately told me to "call corporate" and repeated the number like she couldn't care less. Completely dismissive and unprofessional. So I went to the location in person to actually speak to someone competent. The moment I walked in, she told me to leave. I asked if she was the same person who hung up on me, and she doubled down and kept telling me to leave instead of taking any accountability. She refused to give me her name or the district manager's name, which is ridiculous. Then, to make things worse, she called the police on me and described me by my race multiple times, which was completely unnecessary and inappropriate. The whole situation was humiliating and escalated for no reason other than her inability to act professionally. Ironically, when I called her out for acting like a Karen, she tried to defend herself by saying her son-in-law is Blackwhich had absolutely nothing to do with anything and just made things even more bizarre. After all of this, I still haven't received a single call back from a district manager. The lack of accountability here is unbelievable
