No problems, no hassle, and I was easily shown the potential properties to rent from them. I have rented from this location and can only tell you that they are: - very nice people - very helpful and professional - no hassles, no hidden fees, prices posted online for you to see - Insurance is included in the monthly rate - which is great - they have an open thrash bin for your to get rid unwanted stuff - they have donation bins for Salvation Army - each unit has it's own alarm system - I rented during a rainy time period and I didn't notice any leaks I could go on and on. I had a good experience here and I would recommend it to anyone looking for storage. Update, Jan, 19, 2014 I knocked down the rating two stars because I noticed that they are now locking the trash bin, so you can't get rid of things you don't want. This is very inconvenient. Worst public storage in OC makes Brea as a city look terrible been dealing with this company since before COVID-19 early 2020 security public storage not only added multiple unnecessary late fees to my monthly bill consistently that wasn't nearly passed due but also blocked me from online access so I couldn't pay directly online I had to make a trip in person and had to pay by cashiers check or money order strange yes as well as I couldn't enter the gate my access code didn't work I had to ask for entry every time multiple times I had to come with police to enter and prove I paid to enter by Brea police all during a pandemic Security Public Storage told me I had until today the 19th to pay or else my things will be auctioned not a first this happens every month but this time even though I paid my belongings I had stored were sold when I spoke with security public storage not only did they claim I haven't been in contact even though I've spoke with several on duty staff who assured me as long as I paid my belongings will be fine over the last few days consistently still claim I haven't spoke with anyone or made contact security public storage claim never received money don't even risk your belongings with this storage I will be spending every penny I got to fight this including all three stimulus checks never had a problem paying my storage ever worst of all I wasn't notified I had to call myself and get this news i couldn't pulled my belongings out doesn't make since just spiteful read more

Overall, OK. Secure place with pride in grounds. However, the unit doors were replaced this summer/fall, we didn't get notice in advance, and all my belongings were covered in dirt. The company installing the doors also chucked all of my items near the door off to the side and piled things back in a careless manner. This made for a filthy move into our new place. No severe damage, just years of dirt from the old doors all over my items. I would have gone in and covered my storage with tarps had I received proper notice. The kicker here is I moved from Public Storage due to a break-in to Security Public Storage - bottom line - avoid storage units all together. read more

Just moved out of the area and was told I needed to provide 7 day notice. No problem but my credit card was charged on the 25th and I moved out on the 30th. Even with 7 day notice, I should get 70% of my payment back but they refused to refund the difference. Once you pay, you are out of luck so just make sure. I have another unit at a different location and they refunded the difference. read more

I am very pleased with Brea SPS. I have using this storage facility for several years and I am very happy.

I need 2 let everyone body know about this company. I have had my antique furniture in this unit since March of this yr. I've had 2 deal with rats right off the bat. I put my own poison in my unit. They didn't care said well someone had stored food in there unit. I told them they need 2 call pest control out 2 take care of it. Well today I went 2 my unit off 405 fwy & beach 2 take my antique ice chest out 2 put in my home. I was pissed there was moisture in there when I was taking it out there was mold all over it & termite damage. I told the manager on duty. He told me he's sorry but there's nothing he could do about it. I've has this since I was 15. It's ruined now. My antique radio has termite damage it's worthless now there's holes in the front. 1 of my antique chess the rats pissed all over it scratched & chewed all over it. My antique pics that r in boxes the termites went through the box & my pics from the 1700 to 1800ths r ruined. I'm going 2 sue them but it won't replace this items I cherished & loved. I was going 2 pass them on 2 my daughter because she loves them 2. But there worthless now. Pls if u have had the same problem pls fight them. It was supposed be air controlled environment. read more

I just freakin' love this place. I did a move back at the end of '10, and with only a short month of using the facilities I had an amazing experience; the personable service shown by SPS was kind of mind-blowing. Had another move this year ('13), and found out the ownership had changed. My initial reaction was to be disappointed, but that lasted about a second. They're the nicest people, and every one of the employees I've dealt with are friendly, laid back, and super helpful. They've smoothed all the bumps along the way and made my life a lot easier -- which is saying something, given that what I anticipated as a two-month storage situation turned into almost six. It was worth it simply to do business with these people. I'd continue to, too... but I want my stuff. :P read more
