ZippGo rents you a certain amount of boxes based on how many rooms/square feet you are moving, and they deliver the boxes to your address, you use them for a move, and they pick them up at the new address. It was easy to schedule and make sure the drop off and pickup worked at an appropriate time. The boxes themselves are sturdy plastic, and the top interlocks so you don't need any packing tape. The boxes fit on top of each other which makes them easy to stack and move. You can also pick box inserts that are designed for plates and glassware which made it so easy to move these items. I would recommend ZippGo in a heartbeat- it made our move faster, easier, and more eco friendly too!

The difference in packing efficiency was so noticeable compared to my last few moves using their system, that I reached out to ZippGo this morning with a last-minute request to switch over. Even though their driver was already on the road, Sarah was incredibly responsive and quickly worked out solutions to get me what I needed in record time. Sarah and her driver, Javier's, dedication to customer service was truly impressive. That said, I'd recommend planning ahead rather than making last-minute requests like I did! Note that their drivers don't work on Sundays and Mondays, so be sure to schedule your box deliveries in advance. ZippGo's reusable box system is a genuine time-saver that makes moving so much easier and more streamlined. 10/10 would recommend to anyone moving!

My movers communicated when they would arrive and showed up on time. I feel they overall handled my belongings with care and things went smoothly and efficiently. I was moving things from a 10x10 storage unit into a 1 bedroom apartment about an hour and a half away, with 1 stop to pick up a couch along the way. Total time took about 5.5 hours. On the other hand, things got weird when it was time to pay. I didn't appreciate feeling pressured when they tried to tell me that a 30% tip was the standard. I gave them 20%, which I felt was a good tip and standard for a good job. I was also pressured into writing both a Yelp and Google review, leaving them 5 stars as they hovered over me. I am coming back and editing my review now that I've had time to reflect on things. This explains all of the 5 star reviews!

We had a challenging move from downtown S.F. to Berkeley, to a house that is in the middle of multiple construction projects. Yet they made everything feel easy. I had gotten food poisoning the day before and we were stressing because we hadn't yet finished packing. But it was no problem--they loaded the truck with the items that were ready to go while we packed the rest. Make sure to ask for Joseph and his team (Fernando and Victor). They arrived a little early so they'd be ready and were the utmost professional while also being a warm and friendly team of guys. We would have them over dinner any time. Because of Joseph I'm now convinced that moving is both an art and an athletic feat. We had a recliner (100lbs) and a treadmill (200lbs) that were too wide to go through a doorway--and yet he maneuvered them effortlessly through without a scratch on either.

I was told that the movers would arrive between 9am and 11am. Instead, I was given several updates from the foreman, who repeatedly gave me revised arrival times that were simply not true. At one point, he blamed traffic on a specific highway -- yet a quick check of live traffic data showed that route was completely clear. The crew finally showed up at nearly 3pm -- four hours late -- completely blowing through the reservation window I had secured with my building for elevator and loading dock access. I attempted multiple times to reach customer support at the number advertised on their website. Not once did I get through. Their customer service line put me on hold and played music for a few minutes and disconnected. To add insult to injury, after the packing was done, I was handed an additional charge of over $2,000 on top of the original quote -- this, after hours of delay and disorganization entirely on their end. The job should have wrapped by 3pm. We didn't finish until well after 6pm, creating further complications for my move-out schedule. If that weren't enough, the vehicle transport I paid for was delayed by at least four days due to truck repairs -- information I only received after paying. I'm flying out of state before my car can even be picked up. When I received my household items, there were several damaged items. I expect to find more as I unpack my boxes.

In October 2023, we hired Kerb to move most of our furniture and other items from the D.C. Region…read moreto Northern California. On the basis of that experience, we are giving Kerb a 1-star rating. On the day of the move, Kerb's D.C. Area crew damaged one pathway light and one copper post cap on our property. While in transit, more than 20 pieces of furniture were damaged, including an expensive, hand-constructed dining table. The cost to repair and refinish the dining table and one leaf will be $1,100. Three lamps and four lampshades, all of which Kerb's D.C. Area crew had packed, were damaged beyond repair. When we promptly submitted a detailed summary of the damage, the response from Kerb's Customer Care Department was not just inadequate, but unapologetically silent on its movers' lack of care in handling our belongings during transit. Additionally, none of the insurance options that Kerb had offered would have made us whole upon taking into account the cost of the insurance and the corresponding deductibles. Because Kerb failed to deliver our furniture intact, and because Kerb's D.C. Area crew did not instill any confidence whatsoever, we do not recommend this mover to anyone else who is planning a cross-country move. Nor do we intend to hire Kerb again to transport our remaining belongings to Northern California.

Wow! I made reservations to move a week ago with a crew of three. They arrived on time first star…read more We went over what needed to be moved and they wrapped everything second star. They moved everything carefully and far quicker than I thought it was possible, third star. We actually had to make two more pick ups along the way and they were great about that. We got to the final location again. They moved so quickly and asked me each time. It was unclear where everything goes, fourth star. They did it in under the minimum that time, they cleaned up. They asked me if there was anything else, fifth star. They were done and out of here and now I have the day to unpack and organize I would keep adding stars Gabriel and his crew are amazing. If you need to move call this company.

The place is brand spanking new.
