I have lived here for almost a year now. This is a fantastic apartment complex to live in. It is nice and quiet through all parts of the day with the occasional sound of kids playing at the pool or gardening / property maintenance. You can only really hear outside noise if the windows are open. Even being so close to the train tracks, you don't here it that often unless the conductor has to toot his horn for some reason and even then the sound is faint. I rarely here my neighbors at all through the walls, although I have met a few that are very friendly and pleasant to talk too. I've got a front unit where you can here the sounds of the water feature at night, it is a very relaxing sound. I have not had any problems with the unit with the exception of a clogged shower drain when I first moved in that was fixed promptly. The unit has nice clean features and has a very house like feel. I sometimes forget I live in an apartment. Parking is awesome. I have never had a problem with parking and we have 3 cars to our unit. The staff is very nice and down to earth. They have always been very cool people and answered all my questions when I have had any. Occasionally, the complex will host Taco Night, where a local Mexican style restaurant sets up shop in the parking lot. I love taco night. Dinner served right outside your door. Altogether, I'd have to say that this is one of the best complexes that I have lived in throughout my ten years of renting (Second only to Huntington Beach). The only reason I am moving out is because I currently have roommates and we're going our separate ways. But if it weren't for that reason, I would definitely renew my lease. Highly recommended. Its a little on the pricier side, but well worth the little extra for a place that truly feels like home versus just another apartment. read more

I lived at Sedona for 6 years with my husband and 2 kids. We loved living here. The community is absolutely amazing! Management does alot to bring residents together by having Easter Egg Hunts, Taco Night, Cinco de Mayo events, etc. The only reason we moved is because our family size increased and we needed more space. If this complex had 3 bedrooms, we would've stayed living there until our kids graduated! All maintenance issues are quickly resolved and they maintain the property very well. Plus the office staff is very courteous, professional, respectful, and I always felt as if they truly cared. I am heartbroken that we had to move out but life happens! read more

I have never had a property management office be as over and above the call of duty in 15 years as they are here at Sedona!! My Dad recently passed away and I lost my job. Peter, Susie, and Bree were supportive from day one. Any problem we had, either personally or professionally, they spoke and treated us like human beings as opposed to a business transaction. I moved here last year in August 2016 and the leasing associate Bree was super helpful. She walked me and my roommate through any concerns and handled everything. We never had any problems and when there was a problem with a money order they were really nice and helped me get all of it solved. I moved out due to my lease being up and moving closer to my job. I was having a horrible time at my new place and the managers Susie and Peter have been working with me to move back. They have kept up with me and have been really patient with me and my situation. The actual atmosphere of the apartment is amazing. It's really quiet and there are two tennis courts and two pools. There's a lot of space for dogs and pets to roam around. I would definitely recommend living here. They also have taco nights and a few other resident events. The business center is not that big but it's never busy and you can always print. At night they have patrol and I haven't run into anything shady or suspicious since I lived there. The only con is it can be pricey but it is worth it. I love it there and management is really cool. read more

I moved out almost 8 months ago. The never notified me on what i owed for damages to the apartment. from my thoughts damages would be less then $500. They never called me or sent me any info on paying them. 8 months after i moved out i got a collection notice for $3,000!!! Were they serious!! I cant believe they would charge that for carpet and paint! Not to mention the security here sucked! I was paying $1500 a month plus utilities and had my car broken into 3 times!!! Security! I never saw security once! The damages from the car break in were terrible. the first time they used some sort of crow bar to bend the metal to get into the trunk, the second time a broken window, and lastly they tore open the convertable top. What did they want soo bad in my 2003 convertable mustang?? My c.d.'s how ridiculous! I called to complain to the management, they could not care less. they were non-apologetic, nor notified security to patrol better. worst place i have ever lived becuase it was soo pricy! my apratment was not luxerious in anyway, it was actually pretty run down for a "luxery apratment". also the ac is soo old and inefficient my electric bill was over $500 a month and i only ran the ac at night and weekends. the worst staff ever!! I repeatingly got threatening calls from the staff and letters on my door about the smell of marijuana, when i do not use drugs nor did my roommate! not only did i lose $3,000 on my damaged car, i ended up paying the $3,000 to collections to save my credit. If i had the time, i would sue this complex!!! to the girl before me: get over the dogs.. they are not hurting anyone! read more

I think the management tries to make this community a nice place to live. The area has potential. The maintenance and groundskeepers are around regularly and respond to repairs within a reasonable amount of time. However, it does not appear as though any resident complaints are ever resolved. The walls are thin, I can hear people's conversations upstairs, through ventilation and the walls. Everyone seems to know this and is aware that we can all hear everything. This only became a nuisance when our new upstairs neighbors decided they were going to allow 8more people to move in with them. It got worse when one if those individuals brought a drum set and guitar there so they can rehearse the local band. Recently they decided to add a ping pong table and host competitions with loud cheering. The large German shepherd they own cries all day long and runs around upstairs all night when they are home. They all work on their cars, motorcycles in the car ports. Not just checking the oil. One time they spilled about 3-4 gallons of gas on the carport floor. This was a great combination for the guy next door that spends his day drinking and smoking in our common walk. Not to mention the ex tension cords being ran from one apartment to the next. I think that if the management were a little more diligent in enforcing policies to protect our better residents on the first complaint , then there would be no need to make such a lengthy criticism. The only true message that residents are getting from management is that we are all free to do what we like at any time. As I am writing this, the upstairs neighbors have decided to host a skateboard competition on the stairs connected to my living room wall at 11:38pm..... Wonderful... read more

Very nice grounds but the apartments themselves hard basically put together pretty half ass, when they say upgraded they really mean painted... Everything is pretty dated, not even granite countertops, also they don't replace anything that breaks, they just half ass fix it. Getting them to do anything for a current resident is like pulling teeth. Better places out there for sure... Plus when you move out they do everything in there power to rob you and worst they aren't the only thieves there. You car is guaranteed to get broken into at least once. I have a two bedroom, two bath apartment. I have been here almost two years and I love it! Grounds are very nice and clean. It is a very spacious apt. and the patio is amazing! the office staff are always happy to deliver my packages to me rather then me heading over to them since sometimes I cant get there before they close and basically do what they can to help. It is very quiet in my area which makes it nice. I rarely hear the upstairs neighbors and never hear anyone else. Maintenance will usually come out but I have had several issues with the central air. They keep telling me it is fine, but it does not cool the whole place. Something is wrong with the front vent but they refuse to get it fixed correctly. read more

First off, let me start with the leasing process. I tend to be a little, umm, irritating when I am excited about something. The girls at the front were amazing. Always got back to me right away and had answers for all of my obnoxious questions. We have a lab mix dog who weighs 55lbs and they had no qualms about him living with us, the complex is VERY dog friendly. The apartments are big, they actually feel like condos and not apartments which is nice. Maintenance requests are almost always met quickly. They even arranged my spring inspection around my schedule so I could be here to control the puppy. It's super quiet too. If all my windows are closed, I hear nothing. I do wish they would close the gate at night more frequently, but if that's my only complaint I can't be too upset. Great place to live! ***update to review, we just renewed our lease for another year. I went up to the front and gave Anthony a laundry list of things that we wanted fixed. He didn't flinch and worked around my schedule so I could be there for all repairs since we do have a dog. read more

Management is terrible. You have to call about issues multiple times before they get resolved and even then, they often times don't resolve the issue. They often times don't answer phone calls or respond to voicemail, so you have to find time to talk to the staff in person. Before signing the lease we received false information that didn't show up as false until the time of signing the lease. We were told by one associate that we would be getting two car ports with our dual master bedroom apartment, but only received one. Our rental approval was delayed over 7 days past the date we were told we would be approved by, which put us at being approved the night before we were supposed to move in. When we called about our approval the staff seemed annoyed and burdened by our calls. Fall inspections have come around and we received a notice 3 days before saying that people would be entering whether we were home or not on one specific day. I took the day off work so I could be home and nobody showed up to inspect my apartment. After speaking with the office, they told me it would take up to two weeks and that they could come any day from 8am-5pm which wasn't written on the notice anywhere and is very inconvenient. I don't know anyone that would be okay with not knowing when random people would be entering their home. Almost everyday people are yelling at each other audibly, even with all the doors and windows closed. The only thing appealing about these apartments are the actual apartment layouts themselves. read more

I have never lived somewhere that is as disrespectful to their residents as the management at Sedona apartments. We have lived her for a year and a half and not only has there been constant construction but they start construction at 7AM literally right outside of your bedroom window. The Gardner's and landscaping also start promptly at 8am right next to people's bedrooms. The office doesn't open until 9AM so they clearly think the hours of 7AM-9AM are too early for them to be bothered. We have been here for almost a year and Love it. We did however, have a major hot water leak under one of our bathroom sinks last week at 12am. The maintenance man was on the ball with the clean up and knew everything he needed to do. He got most of the water up, ripped up the padding underneath so it wouldn't seep anymore and and put fans on it till the morning. Right at 8 am, or sooner, he was back over here with the drywall guy to start on the clean up. Not long after that, the manager was here to asses the mess and made it clear to us that it would all be back to normal when we got back from vacation. The manager also said that he'd reimburse us the amount of electricity that they used to fix the mess. Our last apartment (The Villager, in Anaheim) Never was this nice, nor offered to pay for anything, including a stay at a hotel after a nasty Mold situation. Thank you Sedona for being on the ball so quickly when it came to a nasty situation. We'd recommend this complex to anyone. Just signed a lease for my second apartment in Sedona. I have absolutely no complaints from my first year. The place is nice, plenty of parking, and neighbors are friendly. I don't usually write reviews but I thought it was necessary because I've had at least a handful of complaints about any apartment I've ever lived in. As an added bonus, the girls in the office, Erica and Bree, are the nicest and most patient management team I've ever dealt with. They helped us a lot for both apartments. I work around asset management offices a lot and listen to how rude some managers are to their tenants on a daily basis, but I can tell Erica and Bree are just genuinely nice people and actually care about what their tenants are going through. Overall, I love living in Sedona. read more

What can I say. First I was only going to stay a few months and move closer to work. The only problem is the longer I stay the more I've taken by this place. The location is awesome the neighbors I have are great and respectful. The staff is unbelievable. When I do have a concern they respond immediately and professionally. Secondly, Taco Night- The food is so good and we don't have to drive anywhere to have a smiling face to serve us food. I believe this idea will catch-on to place like Sedona. I moved in here about a month ago, and have been pretty happy so far. The units are large, there are beautiful trees and landscaping outside my apartment. I do not recommend renting from here. All three of my roommates have had their cars broken into twice in the complex and locked road bike was stolen. The security gate to the complex is constantly open and the security patrol is unwilling or unable to deter thefts. Despite pointing these problems out to Lyon Living (property management company), Corporate refuses to reimburse me even the deductible on repairing my car. read more

Ok, here is an update on my last review. So I was so upset with the "leasing consultant", I came to talk with the manager at Sedona. I am glad I did. After we talked, things worked out. She listened to what I had to say and offered a reasonable solution. Honestly, there is nothing wrong with the apartments. It's the "smart" staffer who lies, gives all false information, does not listen, does not know about her own company policies, but acts like she is the final decision maker there is the biggest problem for Sedona Apartments. So if you're looking for an apartment close enough to CSUF and SCCO, without too many students to make you feel like living a dorm, this place could be the one for you. Just make sure you verify all information given and ask to talk to someone else if you encounter the "special" staffer I mentioned above. read more

My family and I have been living here for about 3 months now, maybe 4. Signing papers and getting our keys was easy as pie. We moved in that same weekend with no problems what so ever. You will see lots of review here about the beautiful landscaping, quick maintenance response time, lots of parking and the fact that it is an extremely pet friendly complex and I agree with all of that. However, I am writing this review based on Peter. Dealing with Peter is stress free even with dealing with a stressful matter. He is quick with his responses and always works with us to work out any issue that may occur. When talking to him it's like talking to an old friend and yet somehow maintains his professionalism. You can tell that he loves his job, always has a smile on his face, recognizes my husband and children (which is hard when you work with so many people), and is incredibly efficient. I highly recommend any one that is interested in this property to come on in and see for yourself. I will also note that we did deal with a girl in the office but I unfortunately do not recall her name. She was also very sweet and informative. read more

I lived here for 2 years while attending CSUF for my MA. Nice place and just far enough from campus where it was NOT inundated with undergraduates (party!). Maintenance was punctual, and management was fair. MOST neighbors were polite and not too noisy (it is an apartment complex after all - there is going to be some noise). One star off because it was not really connected to anything else in walking distance. read more

My fiancé and I just moved out and the only reason we moved was because we bought a house. We lived in the Sedona apartments for about a year and a half and loved it. The staff was great, super responsive and friendly. Any maintenance issues were resolved same day. The grounds were well maintained and I could tell they tried really hard to keep everything looking great. Parking was never an issue, there was always plenty of parking spaces. I loved using the pool in the summer. They coordinated taco nights (which were delicious) and breakfast from time to time. They were also wonderful when it came time for us to move out. We never had any issues with bugs/pests/rodents. I would highly recommend if you are looking for an apartment. read more

I am in this community only because I am tied in a lease I would not recommend this community. Very Unsafe surroundings. Security system at the gate is just lousy. when you put in a maintenance request even if its an emergency what you're told, they wait to do it in priority off on the maintenance requests that have been recd earlier, so clearly for this whole community whatsoever is the emergency its not important. read more

This has been my first experience of Apartment living, and I couldn't feel more at home. The team in the office is stellar. I have had only positive interactions and feel like they go above and beyond in every measure. The maintenance team is always quick to respond, and no hesitations are ever in place to repair even the smallest of items. I have been here around 3 years and can't imagine leaving anytime soon. I love sitting outside and enjoying the beautiful trees that surround the facilities, it always reminds me of being in the mountains. Even more importantly, my 5 year old daughter is obsessed with stopping by the office to say hi to everyone. They brighten her days, and that is priceless. My wife and I have lived here at Sedona, our first apartment together, for the past year and a half. We are moving out after this month, but I must say that over the past couple of months, things have been fantastic here. We had a ton of issues with past management not helping us with anything at all, but Lyon has brought in a new manager, Trent Borts, with his team, and they have been incredibly helpful. He has made time to sit with my wife and I twice now to discuss issues and has taken action to fix every problem we've brought to him. We even noticed that he was working on some of the issues we had before they had ever been mentioned to him; awesome attention to detail! Lyon has left Sedona in great hands, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to a friend or even come back here in the future if we had to move again. read more

UPDATE: I just moved out of my apartment at Sedona, after being there two years. My only reason for leaving was that I had purchased a condo in nearby Fullerton. Where it not for that, I would have been happy to stay at Sedona longer. In my two years there, the staff was pleasant, the grounds were reasonably kept, and I never had any issues with noise, parking, crime, or anything of that nature. I will definitely miss my time there, and would not hesitate recommending them to anyone else. read more
