    PB&J Burger

I'm obsessed with the PB&J burger, went to grab some as well as a mushroom and Swiss burger for my family and everyone loved their food. The burgers are thick, tasty, and perfectly cooked to eachs preference. The PB&J burgers, you get a slightly subtle hint on peanut butter and a nice hint of sweetness from their habanero fig jam, definitely a must for those sweet/salty seekers. The service was quick and the ambiance was cozy and welcoming.

We have driven by Warriors Taphouse many times but decided to stop in for a quiet lunch on Black Friday. The place was quiet. Overall, the ambiance was nice. There are plenty of TVs for the sports aficionados but they are not blaring. The service was very good. We were greeted promptly and had just the right amount of service without being bothered. Our meal was very good. I ordered a Reuben and I am a Reuben freak.....it has to be made just so....this was one of the best Reubens I ever had and the best so far in the Hampton Roads area.my husband had a jalapeño burger. It was juicy and perfectly cooked. There are a lot of beers on tap for the beer lover.....We will definitely go back.

Always on the hunt for good, craft beer - we found some here. From a flight of 5, then choosing 3 pints of Frogman a piece, we had our fill. My wife had the Brussel Sprout appetizer, said it was delicious. It was chilly this day 42 was the high, we sat on the patio in the sun, with our 3 Labradors who each enjoyed the sunbath afternoon, as we watched fighter jets over head one after the other, quite a spectacle and a treat for us. Heather was our server and was on-point all afternoon, even afforded us a few tiny samples we did not choose for our flight.

I love this location is veteran owned and is very welcoming to the military community. I know that they are very involved with local events and truly do try to support the local community with causes. Their food was outstanding and service was exceptional. I really recommend the twice fried wings very very good.

We stopped in on a whim. Overall food was good, though the dressing on the salad was weird and southwest. Service great.

Oh what a find. Just a mile from our home, we were always curious as to what this place offered being it was a "Taphouse" as I love me a good craft beer. Goodness does this place hits on all cylinders when it comes to that. Elton (with the rockin beard) was awesome guiding me through the plethora of amazing brews before settling on what I wanted to enjoy. My wife is not huge on craft beers but even she enjoyed the one she had (will return back to her in a moment). The happy hour offers amazing apps and specials but what was also a pleasant surprise was the quality of the food! Elton sold me on a PBJ Burger that doesn't sound that amazing at first but let me tell you, that was probably one of the best burgers I've had in this area or in a long time. I don't remember exactly what was on it but the combination of the perfectly cooked grilled burger, Gouda cheese, fig something, bacon jam, peanut butter on a soft roll... OMG I was blown out. So much so that I referred several people here and returned to try other burgers, apps and main dishes. All of it is amazing on top of a very cool vibe giving respect to our "warriors" with all sorts of cool memorabilia as their ongoing vibe. The location is sort of hidden off of General Booth in the shopping center where One Life is and Bay Local is located but when you add it all up, this location can cover a great time both day and night. Warriors does off a great brunch so don't forget about that as well. I love having fantastic local spots like this and highly recommend a visit! Oh.. funny thing as I remembered to come back to the wife comment. Although she enjoyed the brew she had, she is a budlight fan through and through no matter where we go. When she found out they did have that on the tap (you really need to look for it), she was like "seriously, you had this the entire time"?? Both Elton and I fell out laughing but for those that have a hard time muscling down craft beers, they do have a few domestic ones along with wine and full liquor bar as well. Enjoy!!!!

Stopped by Warriors Taphouse for a birthday party last Friday and took advantage of their Happy Hour, which was from 4-6pm (Tue-Fri). The cocktails were $2 off the regular price so I ordered the Tito's Strawberry Lemonade and the appetizers were discounted as well so we ordered the Buffalo Wings and Lumpias. Our waitress, Bella, was so sweet and brought out my drink as soon as they made it. The Tito's Strawberry Lemonade was very good! As soon as I finished, I ordered another one lol. The food came out fairly quickly. I wasn't a huge fan of the wings but the lumpia paired with their sweet and spicy sauce was very delicious! With us going around 5pm, it wasn't too large of crowd so we were able to really sit and enjoy without feeling rushed. The outside patio area was spacious and I could see it being a nice area to sit outside and enjoy their food and drinks this Summer. I've been to Warriors Taphouse years ago but I thoroughly enjoyed their Happy Hour and will be returning very soon.

I was there on a Sunday morning with about 7 women for brunch. We had awesome service from Logan. You can order off the brunch menu or the regular menu which I was happy about. I personally did not care for the brunch menu but that is personal preference. A few ordered off the brunch menu and I heard no complaints. I got the tacos with blackened shrimp and they were delicious!!! The pineapple salsa was fresh and added just enough sweetness and the cilantro creama was so good. I got 3 for $13. We ordered mimosas and bloody marys for $5. I personally thought a $5 mimosa was a little pricey because you can get bigger ones for less around town. Logan was nice enough to offer us a pitcher of mimosas. We drank it. And he split it on our bill which was awesome. Great service and food. I would definitely go back and would recommend.

    Steak Salad

Menu is a little better than your basic bar and grill. I like that if had multiple salad options and tacos, in addition to burgers and chicken. However, food wasn't great. I ordered a steak salad, steak cooked rare and blue cheese crumble on the side. The steak was closer to medium and there was SO much blue cheese crumble on the salad. Fortunately, it was in huge chunks I could move to the side. It had two types of onions- sautéed and crispy, in addition to sautéed red bell peppers. The crispy were terrible, maybe really overcooked or old and salad components didn't really work. One adult in our group had a dairy allergy. This isn't the kind of place that addresses any of that and server wasn't overly friendly in helping her. The place is a cute bar and grill with multiple TVs playing sports. It has a little bit of a military vibe with some signs and t-shirt mech.

50 beers on tap. Beautiful bar

My husband and I both like it here.Great beer and bar menu. Great for drinks. I thought that is all this place was going to be but the food is great too. Good service and our waitress was helpful with all of our questions. Some nights they have live music. They have all types of fun events here too. I follow them on Instagram. . We like going for happy hour. They have a whole list of specials. The Fig & Goat cheese Lamb burger is our favorite it is sweet, salty and a little spicy. Bratwurst is under handheld. Oh so yummy snd the bun is a pretzel bun. All I can say is everything we have gotten has been too shelf wonderful Warriors craft burger is big and we like to split it. But it is so great you might not want to share. Mushroom and Swiss burger is so full of flavor. My favorite is the fingerling potatoes. They are seasoned and roasted. Has a bit of a outside crisp and so delicious. The hand cut fries are great. I do like a little more salt but try them first before you add it The sautéed Brussels & Bacon is so good. They are so good that sometimes they run out.

    Spinach and Artichoke Dip

First impressions walking in, there was no staff ready to seat me making stand and wait. I finally got service after 10 minute of waiting. I put in 3 orders, spinach and artichoke dip, Mac and cheese, and their signature Warrior Craft Burger. The wait wasn't terrible but it did seem a little slow despite how non packed the place was. The food was good though, my only complaint would be how little chips they provided compared to dip, and the strange bacon flavor on both the Mac and cheese and burger. The bacon just didn't taste right. Other than that the service was friendly and also offer veterans discounts.

I ordered the Black and Blue burger with sweet potatoes waffle fried, and my son ordered a bacon cheeseburger with regular fries. I got my burger with a little pink, and it was cooked to perfection! Sometimes I am hesitant to get pink because it's been to raw. The burger was not only cooked to perfection, I really loved the bleu cheese sauce and grilled onions. The waffle fries with the cinnamon/brown sugar sauce were great as well. My son also really enjoyed his burger, but he did say his fries tasted like shrimp. I tasted them, and they didn't taste like shrimp but they did have a distinct taste. I can't really describe it, but I didn't like it. Otherwise we had a great visit, one of the best burgers I've had, and really good, quick service! I am sure we were in and out in under an hour with everything still being super fresh!

Barrel 17 did not disappoint; when i got there i realized quickly i was the last to know because it was busy. It was non stop; attentive, taking orders, making drinks, checking back with others, she was truly impressive. The places was jumping; it was busy, casual and didn't slow down from the time we arrived until we left. Parking is challenging, there's a small lot beside the restaurant and a small lot behind it so if you can car pool you'll benefit yourselves. Now on to the star of the show - the food! The only knock I had was portion size. In a big guy with an even bigger appetite and when i left there i could've eaten my whole meal over again lol. But that's also because it was delicious. The last time I set foot inside their Pleasure House Rd location was at least 10 years ago. I celebrated my birthday there as my friends were kind enough to take me out. It was a Sunday morning and I sought out a place that offered brunch. I noticed 1608 was open and decided to head over, especially since I haven't visited them in ages. When I walked in, I noticed their dining room is dimly lit - much darker than I remember. I was greeted immediately by a kind hostess and she proceeded to sit me at a nearby table and provided me with menus (one food, one alcohol). I took my time looking over the food menu, and in the meantime I ordered a pint of Center of the Universe's Bald Irishman and a bottle of Boylan's Black Cherry soda (they do not have a soda fountain). What made this visit memorable was that 1608's bartender, Hunter, was an old acquaintance from back in my restaurant days. He spotted me and came over to say hi. After my meal, I continued to catch up with him at the bar. His presence made a pleasant experience even more fantastic. I thought I was hungry, so I ordered 2 dishes - Smoked Ham Fried Rice and the Breakfast Burrito. According to Hunter, every item is made fresh in house. After biting into each, you could tell that's true. Both the fried rice and burrito were delicious and boasted lots of flavor. Although I prefer my fried rice a bit simpler (if you give me just garlic fried rice, I am SET), 1608's fried rice (veggies, garlic, soy, basmati rice, 2 runny eggs, smoked ham) had a lot going on, which made for a flavorful dish. I liked the rice and the burrito (Korean style fried chicken breast, scrambled eggs, cilantro lime, cheddar, pico de gallo) a lot. I didn't finish either because it was a lot of food (I really thought I was hungry, haha). But these leftovers turned into a fantastic dinner later on. 1608 looked clean and organized, although I thought it was a little too dark inside, at least for brunch service. That's not a dealbreaker since everything from the food to the service was as excellent as I remember. I hope to return soon with my mom. Regardless, I'll find my way back eventually. Thank you, 1608 Crafthouse! And great seeing you again, Hunter! JV

Our first table ended up being under a spotlight that was directly in our line of sight (it looked like it was meant for the specials board), so we asked to move. Staff was accommodating and got us to a better table quickly. The space itself is really nice. It was clean, rustically decorated, and the live plants in liquor bottles on the tables are a nice touch. Our server was friendly from the start and took drink orders right away. My daughter and I had sodas, and my husband ordered the Southern Charm Old Fashioned off the specials menu, which he enjoyed. The menu is on the smaller side, which we actually like. One unique detail was the option to "buy a round for the kitchen," which we thought was a really nice touch and decided to add it when we ordered our appetizer. We started with the fried deviled eggs after a friend recommended them. They were creative with three styles (classic with pickle, togarashi ginger, and crispy prosciutto), but overall a bit on the dry side and not as flavorful as we expected. We asked for Dijon, but they don't have it. Our server suggested and brought out the Baja dipping sauce instead, which did pair well and kind of improved them. My husband had the fish and chips and really enjoyed it. He said the fish was flaky and well cooked. I ordered the Union grilled cheese, which unfortunately seemed like it had been sitting a bit before being served, as the bottom was soggy. It was just okay overall and not particularly memorable for the price. The sweet potato fries on the side were the clear standout. They were crispy, the perfect balance of sweet and salty and honestly the best part of the dish. Our daughter had the kid's smashburger. It was exactly that. Service throughout the meal was good. She was friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and there when needed. The main disappointment came at the end. When our meals were served, the server actually offered sauces at the table (ketchup, mayo, ranch, etc.), and specifically suggested items like the baja sauce for the eggs and ranch to us. Because of that, we were surprised to see several charges for the sauces on the bill, especially since they were offered and recommended at the table with no mention of any additional cost. We were also charged a credit card fee, with no signage anywhere (entrance, hostess stand, or menu) indicating that paying with a card would include an extra charge. It just left an unnecessary sour note on an otherwise solid, casual meal. Nothing was bad, and nothing really stood out as exceptional, but the lack of transparency around those final charges really impacted the overall experience for us.

One piece of advice: arrive a little before Happy Hour begins at 3:00 p.m. If you wait until then, you'll likely find yourself several people deep in line. Don't let that discourage you. Embrace it, because once you're seated you'll quickly discover that the wait was well worth it. The food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the prices--especially during Happy Hour--are outstanding. The Atlantic specializes in oysters, and their Happy Hour runs daily from 3:00-6:00 p.m., including weekends. We began with a Chopped Caesar Salad ($9). Every ingredient was crisp, fresh, and flavorful--a simple dish executed exactly as it should be. Next came the oysters: a dozen Rockefeller and a dozen Pacific. The Rockefeller oysters were everything you would expect from this classic preparation--rich, savory, and baked beautifully. The Pacific oysters, however, completely stole the show. Each oyster was topped with a delicious combination of chorizo sausage, pepper jack cheese, and seasonings before being baked to perfection. They were bold, flavorful, and easily my favorite item of the afternoon. I also ordered the Double Stack Cheeseburger ($7), and what a terrific value. The burger arrived piping hot, loaded with melted cheese, and accompanied by a generous serving of crispy fries. It's hard to imagine finding a better burger at that price anywhere along the Oceanfront. My wife ordered the pork, shrimp, and kimchi dumplings served with a chili crunch and ponzu sauce that tied the entire dish together beautifully. She jokingly threatened to drink the remaining sauce after finishing the dumplings (she didn't), but she did convince me to dip one of my fries into it. She was absolutely right--it was fantastic. In fact, I now regret turning down the dumpling she generously offered me. Part of the fun of dining here is watching Shuck-Master Slim work. He's not only remarkably skilled but entertaining as well, adding a little personality to an already enjoyable experience. From the fresh seafood to the outstanding value and friendly atmosphere, this was another memorable visit to the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. If you haven't been to The Atlantic on Pacific, I highly recommend adding it to your list. You'll be glad you did, and you can rest assured that you're helping support one of our outstanding local restaurants.

We started with drinks and everyone enjoyed their cocktails and wine selection. Next were the starters of peel and eat shrimp and a selection of oysters. The shrimp were a good size and cooked to perfection. They came with drawn butter, cocktail sauce and extra horseradish on the side. My main was the roasted beet salad which was plentiful and flavorful. The addition of a fried goat cheese ball on the side was delicious. Others enjoyed hush puppies, lobster roll, and sashimi. All were enjoyed with rave reviews. The restaurant is a nice size, not too big and not too small. The noise level was decent as we could still have a conversation even at the bar.

Mahi tacos were super tasty and presented beautifully. Onion rings were cooked perfectly, crisp outside and soft inside. Would definitely return to try other entrees.

The food is fine for the price but the manager (heavyset man with a beer gut, beard, and ponytail)…read moreof this specific establishment is a real tool. Ladies if you look good he might let you slide on free items (I've seen it myself) but fellas he's gonna hassle you even for sour cream if you don't tip him enough to his satisfaction and then complain to your face about it if you're a regular. To those that care: The specific incident that caused my review was I had went in on a tuesday for their "taco Tuesday" special. Now because I work by the oceanfront I frequent this place. I've been told they aren't supposed to let you walk out with to go orders on their taco Tuesday, but if I pay for and eat some of my food who is this manager to say I can't leave with a to go box(which in most cases I have), but I digress. I tried to do it today and the manager comes to me with a nasty attitude over me not tipping enough for his standards telling me I can't take my food to go because he doesn't feel I tip enough and "what's a 5 dollar tip gonna do for him". Keep in mind I told him I'm not ordering food for just myself I sometimes take lunch orders from work which is never more than 5 to go small tacos. I've never been rude to this man I'm a quiet person so I usually order wait and leave. I work for a reputable company that sees a lot of tourism and I often recommended this spot to our guests but due to this situation I will be advising people to avoid this place if you're not just going to drink at the end of the night on The Weekend. In the specific event the owner of the restaurant was there and confirmed they weren't supposed to be doing to go tacos which I can respect. What I dont respect is the manager picking and choosing when he wants to follow the rules of the establishment for his own gain.
