I've been a customer for a few years and I really like the staff. The croissant bread is great for toast and my favorite sandwich is egg cheddar and bacon on croissant or croissant bread. The bacon is really good, not fatty and very meaty, not too salty. I love the coffee choices, although I always prefer darker coffee than everyone else, lol. I love all the different things to purchase from ravioli to dried fruit snacks to chocolate. Of course it can be more money but I understand everything is becoming hard to afford and they are trying to offer the best quality food which we need! And they do try to keep the music family friendly which I think important and there is usually plenty of seating so you can bring friends and family who visit the area. read more

We were driving past Cairo recently when we stopped here for takeaway lunch. There were plenty of things to like about their egg salad sandwich and the sour dough almond croissant was effortless, so it would've been an easy 5-star experience except that the sticky bun was so incredibly sticky that I threw it in the bin after precisely 1.5 bites. I liked the airy vibe and the relatively sparse space added to it, since all the food items and display cases were on one side of the shop only. Most, if not all, of their sandwiches appeared to be available with as both whole and 1/2, so we grabbed the egg salad sandwich and we'd both get this again without hesitation because the porous, chewy arborio bread held the chunky egg salad together. On second thought, we both wish the "dried tomato" was quite a bit more tender and chewable because it was so hard that I initially thought my tooth filing popped and I chewed on it. Another wish - none of the baked goods were labeled and I'm not known to ever buy sticky buns, so it's possible that I wouldn't have bought it if I'd known, since I thought it was a cinnamon bun. All in all a great lunch stop, and I hope they continue to improve and stay open for many more years. read more

When I was running out of options for a day after wedding brunch, I contacted See and Be and they took such good care of everything! Ordering on line was so easy, received an immediate email confirming my order. I stopped in to pick up some bread and doubled checked every thing was set for the order and that it was going to be delivered, I was assured it was. Food was delivered, delicious and I was so happy! Weddings are stressful enough and it was such a blessing to have such a great experience with a business! If you need a caterer, contact see and be! Found this magnificent hidden gem of a place this morning when searching for a nice breakfast spot while working in the area. Simply awesome is all I will say. Try the Stuffed Breakfast Burrito, it's to die for! Def will be back when in the area next time. read more

I have not been to the cafe but their breads and pastries are available at retail in several Catskill locations, including Kitchen Cheetah in Margaretville, NY. I cannot praise the breads enough. They are superb. Every one I tried has excellent flavor and perfect crusts. The breads are huge and pricey but they last a long time and are so much better than anything else that is available that I am happy to pay the high price. A favorite is Spelt Miche which makes the perfect sandwich. read more

We were staying near by and wanted to grab some breakfast in town. We found See and Be Kitchen and it did not disappoint. Their specialty is the sourdough based breads. You can buy the breads to take home or have them in your breakfast sandwich. There is also coffee, sweets and other delicious bites to grab and go. I opted for the build your own, so you can pick and choose what your sandwich has. I got the croissant with hard scrambled eggs, cheese and the sage sausage. Wow what a super flavorful savory sandwich. Loved every bite of it. We also grabbed the chocolate chip cookies based off another review here and wow oh wow. That review was right that they serve some pretty amazing chocolate chip cookies. I would definitely get both again. The shop also sell local items in their kitchen pantry of places in the surrounding areas including the pancake mixes from Phoenicia Diner and ice cream from Alleyway ice cream. The cashier was super nice and we are looking forward to returning in the future. read more

We followed the recommendations and stopped here on a Tuesday mid-morning on the way home after hiking. What a pleasant experience, and wonderful people! Egg salad and tuna salad sandwiches were excellent, as were the savory pastries. The also sell a great collection of ingredients for home cooks. See and Be Kitchen consistently serves delicious, fresh food. They are well know for the incredible bread they bake. It's worth a visit just for a fresh baked loaf. But, there is so much more available. I've enjoyed many of their sandwiches. A couple of standouts are the egg salad and turkey pesto. Breakfast sandwiches are grab and go or custom ordered. I'm working my way down the menu and am looking forward to enjoying the grilled cheeses next. It's hard to leave this lovely shop without indulging in one of the chocolate croissants! A few more things worth mentioning. They have a make your own coffee station. It includes cold foam and ice coffee options. There are salads, cheeses, and seasonal soups. Also, a lovely pantry stocked with an eclectic blend of interesting merchandise. There are tables where you can sit and eat. A record player is available to spin the vinyl of your choice. The staff always greets you with a smile. I highly recommend a stop at this gem, See and Be! You won't regret it. read more

We were searching for some croissants to go with our breakfast the next day late in the afternoon and stumbled on this super cute cafe/bakery. Interior was warm and inviting with some small tables if you wanted to grab lunch inside. There were various pastries, croissants, breads as well as sandwiches, cheeses, jams, ect available. The owner was very nice and highly recommended the croissant bread/loaf and it did not disappoint. We also grabbed a bacon tomato jam on a whim and it was soooo good. I happened to be in the area again a few weeks later and made it a point to stop by for more croissant bread and tomato bacon jam. I'm still dreaming about that jam. read more

A hidden gem! Everyone who works at See + Be is so warm and welcoming, and their offerings are fantastic. My favorite is the meat hand pocket, a croissant stuffed with African-spiced local beef. They have a woodfired oven and have a number of awesome breads on the menu, and sweet/savory croissants, and they use local seasonal ingredients whenever possible. They even have a smattering of local goods. Love this place!! read more

"Amazing" is not a strong enough word to describe this place. The food was fabulous. It is so difficult to find great bread in Greene County; this place has it. All their bread is made in-house. The croissants, baguette, hard rolls, and rice loaf bread were all outstanding and all made on premises. Chrissy and Ben were awesome hosts. They made us feel welcomed and at home. Chrissy took the time to answer all our questions and explained how things were made and which local sources ingredients came from. I definitely recommend trying it! read more

We recently hired Chef Chrissy to come to our weekend rental, prepare a dinner and stock the fridge for us with treats for the rest of our vacation. Chrissy is absolutely lovely and a pleasure to coordinate with. Her food was so fresh and tasty - all local and homemade. We especially loved the pastries (croissants, apple/nutella and brioche), all baked by Chrissy's husband Ben. But the flank steak, chicken sandwiches and salads were also a big hit. And, we had a couple of vegans in the group, which Chrissy happily accommodated. We will absolutely stay in touch with Chrissy, Ben and the entire See and Be Kitchen team! read more

My aunt is a local to the area and she is the one who introduced me to this little hidden gem. It's a family run "bakery" ran by this lovely couple and their adorable son Cameron. When we got there in the afternoon noon they were nearly sold out so they were kind enough to make a special order for the next day. We had this croissant/Danish pastry (don't know the proper name) that were excellent!! We had the banana, Nutella, and Raspberry flavors. They were all good but, my favorite was the Raspberry. You may want to get there early before they sell out! Also, check the times and days they're open because I believe they're not open everyday. You definitely must try this place!
