Bought a gift card for See Eyewear at a fundraiser valued at $399.99. In short spent 1 1/2 hrs picking the right pair of glasses and I kept asking ,' how much are my lenses going to be', and not getting an answer. In the end, they told me I only owed $750 more. If my gift card is $399.99 and my glasses were only $279.00 how could I still owe more than $800 just for lenses???? I know this is a boutique eyewear store but they are not made of gold! When I asked why is it so much more money, there was not a specific reason. So I will not be able to use this gift card now that I spent money on it??Everyone else's comments talked about the great prices and great deals! Where ? When? How? I was born and raised in Miami and currently live in Chicago that has phenomenal eyewear and many stores. I have quite a few of the higher end frames from other designers. I don't spare money when it comes to my frames or lenses because I wear them all the time for close and far, so I do the add-ons and best lenses type options. They kind of bonded on knowledge. I walked into See on Lincoln Road Mall. They kind of bonded on knowledge. with my cousin who has owned very high-end optical stores as well in Chicago. We were greeted by Rob and what a very nice guy he is. He is not only pleasant but has years of experience. He is not pretentious at all nor intimidating. We looked through a lot of frames and they found the coolest frames and added a tint that really set them off which they both helped me through the process because I wanted something different to add to my collection. He knows faces and what frames fit well. Many times opticians let the frames wear you and let you pick what does not fit your face because they do not know better. I went back again this time a month later and took many of my glasses for adjustments (which he is great at adjusting for comfort). I had bought a pair of Japanese high-end frames, which I am having them do the lenses on as well. He impressed my cousin and I beyond comprehension in his professional knack. They kind of bonded on knowledge and lingo. He is familiar with all the brands I had and knows the whole history of different frames from the brands. He is a wealth of knowledge and good taste. He is an asset to See and I just LOVE how great and genuine he is and remembered me us from months ago. I honestly don't write reviews often. I've been wearing glasses for almost 20 years so I know how annoying it can be to look through all the glasses and pick out the pair you want! Ivan helped me so much! He made the process so quick and simple that it only took barely ten minutes to pick out what he and I thought were the best looking ones on me. SEE Eyewear has a nice selection of modern frames, however if they break the support services are less than satisfactory. I have purchased several pairs of eye glasses from the Lincoln rd location. Each pair runs between $500.oo and $700.oo. I have gotten many compliments on the style and have referred a number of potential buyers to them. Most recently, I asked them to repair a very fragile nose piece from a pair I bought from them about 1 year ago. They did not have ability to fix them. Instead I was told to just wear them that way. It is difficult to wear a progressive lens when it is not lined up correctly with the nose pieces. In addition, when I arrived in the store to pick up my frames, rather than a friendly hello or how can I help you, the young man sitting at the computer had better things to do. He was not courteous. There was no one else in the store. I am a potential buyer, but after the greeting and service I received today, I will not make another purchase from them, nor will I refer anyone to SEE Eyewear. I hope the owner of the store reads my review and offers improved hospitality training to his employees. read more

My experience with See on Lincoln Road was off the charts good. I have had nothing but problems in the past with all of the eyeglass people in the malls. I have a very difficult prescription to fill as I need very strong lenses which would be very thick without the technology of high indexed lenses. Also, the shape of the frame is another important factor in getting a good looking, functional pair of glasses. Feras Jarwa spent an incredible amount of time helping me find the right frames for me which I actually like. When I picked up the glasses, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the workmanship on the lenses. They looked great and I could actually see so much better with my new prescription and glasses. The price was reasonable for what I got. Great selection, super friendly staff! What upset me w/ this is I ordered 2 pair of glasses. They said it would take about 7 days. 7 days later 1 pair of my glasses were ready i came back the following week for my 2nd pair and was told they were probably in today's shipment and to come back after 2:00. Came back nothing, I came back every week for the next 5 weeks and still the same response about them being in "today's shipment" I was fed up at this point and then I get a phone call saying they FOUND a pair of glasses with my name on them that had fallen behind a table or something to that nature.... I found the pair of glasses that I'd been looking for... what seems like forever. The gentleman that sold me on them did so with nonaggressive and very knowledgeable info. I was about 90% there... he whipped out "limited production" for a homerun. The craftsmanship and design were the precursor. On every visit since the first words out of any staff member are about how great my glasses are. I'm used to that from complete strangers on the street so finally had to ask if they were saying that because they knew they were SEE. Today I was told yes and it certainly speaks on the team recognizing their product and I love that. Thankfully, in some way, not so much to do with the design itself. They are so incredibly unique, over the top yet simultaneously just enough under the radar. Something that is rarely found in design. Hats off to the team. Management is on point as clearly the vibe, energy in this boutique is a win-win. Treated like a guest in their home. I was there last wednesday looking for glasses and found one pair that i really liked for $169. The staffs were really nice.. they let me trying on the glasses until I found the pair that I liked (they have great selections of frames..!). Since my last eye exam was 8 years ago...definitely outdated...so they scheduled me for an eye exam ($88). The next day I came again and immediately got taken care. I go to Miami every year and every year I walk down Lincoln and shop a little. SEE is a fabulous eyeglass shop that focuses on the most unique, hipster, artsy and the extravagant (without the high price tag) eyeglasses possible. This time around I was determined to purchase some eyeglasses, but I was looking for very specific colors and a specific shape. I was approached by a woman named Haley who was covered in piercings and tatooes, with a funky, dreaded mowhawk. Even though I appear to be the trendy type and a fashionista, I once was a little freak myself...decked out in crazy hair colors, piercings and home-made clothing...so she made me feel at home. She simultaneously did whatever she could to help me, while also assisting 2 other customers. I admit...I am picky...but I found the perfect shades and, with her help, in 2 hours I was wearing them. I couldn't be happier! She is very approachable, easy to talk to, patient and understanding. Super chic frames for days. The in house doctor @ SEE Lincoln rd is incredible. I was pregnant and tried to be seen by the eye physician who had been treating my family and myself for decades. Despite my explaining how I couldn't see and my constant headaches, he and his younger business partner both said that they would not give me an eye exam while pregnant. I explained that I felt as though everyone was in danger. The other dr still wouldn't treat me. I called SEE and was scared to switch physicians until.....I realized that their doc is just the best! My entire family has switched over and the lenses and frames are perfect! I love my current frames so much that I am just going to change the rx for now! What a find! It's so great to have such a special place to be treated so well and know I am great care! Kudos to the brand. Major shout out to this particular location! if i could give this place a negative star i would. My family and i have bought many pairs of glasses here at the miami beach location over the years (at least 2-3 each) and as a result have spent spent thousands of dollars in this establishment. Earlier this year, i bought 3 new pairs of glasses (easily another 1000$ right there) and a couple of months later realized i needed new contacts because i had developed astigmatism. I could not order them online and the store offers to order your contacts through them. After placing my order and not hearing back for 2 weeks i call back and my sales person (shall remain nameless) for some reason hadnt processed the order. 2 weeks later i call back and find out this person had been fired and no one had taken over my order. 3 weeks later i call back and after 5 days of calling, i finally get a call back and saying that they have to special order them because (i wanted green ones) and apparently my eyes are just soooo special that i can only use one brand (says their onsite dr). i agreed and 3 weeks later they were still not ready. Another 3 weeks, and you guessed it, NOTHING. When i had originally placed my order in the beginning of OCTOBER She gave me 1 pair of 2 week sample contacts to hold me over and since then, after waiting another 10 weeks at this point, hadnt offered me another sample (considering mine had obsiouly expired 8 weeks earlier and i didnt have another pair), had not apologized, couldnt care less about calling me back, and couldnt be more apathetic to the situation. Finally at the end of January (FOUR MONTHS LATER) i finally go in for my contact "fitting", and they are COMPLETELY the wrong color, making me look like i wanted to be a member of the Twilight Saga cast, and they wanted to charge me 700$ FOR TWO PAIRS--- that was WITH a discount. I obviously told them to forget about it and just give me the normal ones which they assured me would arrive at my house absolutely no later than the next 5 business days especially because they made me pay for them at the time of ordering.... wouldnt you guess it, it took 3 weeks for me to receive those plane colored bad boys too. in sum, THIS IS THE WORST PLACE. THE WORST SERVICE, the women (weirdly not the men at all) are too hip for hipsters and too cool for school, they act like they are doing you a favor instead of doing their job. The amount that they charge you for the shitty service you receive, i would rather donate my eyeballs to blind orphans than spend 1 second of my precious time on this earth walking into SEE. read more

Indeed, the selection of frames is stellar in every respect including astronomical prices! However, puerile and arrogant retail clerks dull the luster that the store's merchandise creates. On a recent weekend afternoon I was approached by two clerks whose edgy personae left an impression that customers were considered needless interruptions to their ongoing sidebar banter and repartee. Dressed as if they were prissy Sunday tea-party guests and not clerks, I doubted their sincerity when offering assistance after 30-to-90 seconds had elapsed since I--as sole customer inside the shop at that moment--had entered the front door. I had two very different experiences at SEE eyewear on Lincoln Road recently. My first visit I was attended by Zak and Dr. Boeckel. Both did an exceptional job. When I returned to pick up my frames, however, the experience could not have been more different. It got off to a rocky start, with Jen approaching me, looking annoyed, and asking "If I needed something?" She then handed me my frames, mumbled something to the effect of "Okay, well..." and walked away. I was with my wife and two friends and we were appalled by Jen's attitude and lack of professionalism. Unhappy with the frames, I asked Jen about the exchange policy. Once again looking annoyed, she explained the policy and walked away. Again. Exasperated, I just called it a day and left. I can tell you with absolute certainty that I will not be returning nor will I, or the people I was with, EVER recommend this place to anyone. read more

SEE was great, especially Ana who was so helpful. My husband and I walked in with on a whim and he saw a pair of glasses that were made out of wood...very unique, but subtle and great for work. We left and the next day I went to order them as a birthday gift and she made the process so seamless and easy. I really appreciated her honesty...she told me that with his crazy prescription (the man's almost blind) we should go with thinner lenses and then showed me the difference offered with anti glare. I went with everything she said and the glasses were finished in 4 business days and looked amazing.
