Never knew this place existed. It's a small Thai restaurant tucked away in a basement off Northern Blvd in Flushing. We arrived at the perfect time, right at the end of happy hour, so we ordered the oysters, money bags, and chive cakes as appetizers. Everything was delicious. The lychee Thai tea was a little too sweet for my taste, but others may enjoy it. The Pad See Ew with beef was the only dish that didn't quite work for me. The steak itself was good, but the overall combination felt a bit off. I also wasn't a fan of the noodles they use for their Pad Thai, although the flavor was spot on. The standout dish was the short rib massaman curry--absolutely excellent and incredibly tender. Everything else we tried was top-notch. I would definitely come back. We ordered a bunch of food: 12 raw oysters, chicken satay, crying tiger, kana moo krob, pineapple fried rice, and ribeye pad Thai. The oysters were very fresh but that's the only thing we enjoyed. The chicken satay was dry and tough. The crying tiger is the ribeye which we ordered medium rare but they came out medium well and it's not a good cut ribeye so it was dry and tough. The kana moo krob was the worst. This is a fried pork belly with vegetables. It was extremely salty and the pork belly was dry and tough. Pad Thai was decent and so was the pineapple fried rice. Came by Siam Thai for a large group(13 people) dinner. The hostess was nice and we were seated for our reservation time right on time (Saturday at 6:30pm). The food was overall good, I enjoyed the appetizers, my main entree (crab fried rice) was as a bit too salty to my liking. The dishes came out at a timely matter. What I didn't like was we brought a cake and without confirming that everyone was finish with their meal or communicating with us before they brought out the cake. So it was a mess because some people were still eating. It felt like they were rushing us out even though they weren't closing or there wasn't other tables waiting. Maybe the experience would be better with a smaller group. I would consider coming back in the future if I'm nearby and is craving Thai food. read more

Tomahawk short rib massaman curry stood out to me the most. The curry spicy flavor and coconut was well balanced, and the short rib was so tender. Basil crispy pork belly was flavorful too, with the saltiness from fish sauce and a little bit of spice from the peppers. I personally think the beef boat noodles and crab fried rice are a little bit too salty for me, but my friends love it. The beef boat noodles have a generous amount of beef as well. I had an amazing dinner experience here yesterday. This was my second time here and each time is amazing. I told my girlfriends we need to come here more often. We had a reservation for four of us, it got busy as we were eating so I do recommend making a reservation. The interior is beautiful. I forgot I was in Queens. The bathrooms are very nice as well, which is important to me. The service is very efficient and the staff is kind. We started with the chinese broccoli and calamari. Both were great. I loved the sauce that came with the calamari. The chinese broccoli was cooked very well. I ordered the pad see ew with ribeye and it's my favorite dish. Portions were huge. My friend had the pineapple fried rice with shrimp and it is served in a pineapple! Very cool. My boyfriend got the fried rice with ribeye which he enjoyed. My other friend got pad kra pao I think, but she loved her food too. We ended with the mango sticky rice sundae, which we really liked! Definitely a great place for girls night or a date night! With that being said, everyting we had here was delicious! I'm especially a fan of the noodles dishes which were all flavorful & generously portioned. We went a little overboard with ordering, but did have a chance to try a bunch of items. The papaya & mango salads were both tasty and well balanced, the green mussels curry was fragrant, pork belly was delish, and the sampler had a little bit of everything. For our mains, we shared a variety of dishes, including the pineapple fried rice, pad see ew, Kana Moo Krob, and a seafood entrée from their winter menu. Everything was well prepared, full of flavor, and ideal for sharing family-style so we could sample a bit of everything. We ended the meal with the dessert sampler, which ended up being my favorite part of the night. The mango sticky rice was absolute perfection, and the mini coconut pudding was rich, creamy, and delicious. The only drawback was related to their brunch special, which allows you to add $20 to any entrée for 90 minutes of unlimited mimosas, sangria, or sake. Our server mentioned that everyone at the table is expected to participate. Thankfully, he made an exception since I'm pregnant and one of my friends has medical issues that prevent them from consuming alcohol. While we appreciated the flexibility, it would be helpful if the policy were more clearly communicated upfront in their marketing. Overall, the food, ambiance, and experience were wonderful. Awesome food! Cool vibes. Ordered the CHIVE CAKE that was okay as a starter. The main we ordered was FISH IN THE GARDEN with mango salad that was amazing, pre cut and deboned so it was easy to eat. Also had the PAD KEE MAO made vegan style and it was just filled with amazing flavor. The duck red curry was also super flavorful and the duck was perfect. The basil ribeye has a lot of potential. The meat was tender but unfortunately was over seasoned. Another reason for the 4 star was because there were only 1 other table occupied but the service was not attentive at all. No water or drink refills and no checking to see how our food is. I have been here a few times and it was great. But the most recent time was a miss. We ordered crying tiger ribeye and crab fried rice. The crab fried rice was overly salty and that sauce that came with it made it even more salty. The ribeye was medium rare as I ordered but the fat was barely rendered and there was a chunk fat on the side that was not trimmed. The sauce accompanying it was good. Hopefully it was an off day. Came here for Sunday lunch with the family, and honestly, we waddled out very happy. We started with the mango salad with softshell crab--tangy, sweet vinaigrette that's basically drinkable, plus crunchy, meaty softshell crab that I could have eaten as a full meal and left satisfied. Next up, pad kra prao with crispy pork belly--actually crispy, deeply flavorful with smoky basil, and had me sneaking extra bites when no one was looking. We also got the shrimp pad Thai (huge portion, perfect for sharing), packed with shrimp and peanuts. Solid, comforting, and perfect if you want something classic done well. Seafood tom yum soup was surprisingly a hit with the kids (who are not soup kids), and they even went back for refills, which says a lot about how balanced and slurpable it was. We tried the crispy shrimp too, super crispy and fun to munch on, but it got a little overshadowed by the stronger dishes. Next time, I'd order it on its own to let it shine. Roast pork came with a spicy sauce, was fatty in the best way, and definitely a winner if you love pork that's rich and tender. The place has a warm, welcoming interior with murals of peacocks and jungle animals, giving it a legit Thai vibe without feeling stuffy. I heard there's a Japanese omakase spot hidden in the back, and now I'm curious to come back just for that. I especially enjoyed the texture of the chive cakes. For our mains, we got the tomahawk curry and the crab fried rice. The meat for the curry was extremely tender. My son, my wife and I went to this restaurant as a treat for our vegan son who loves eating Thai food, and this terrific place did not disappoint. The inside and outside of the restaurant was well decorated exuding a tropical looking ambiance with a class. The place is in the lower ground floor level of the facility, and as you are walking down the place a pleasant food aroma and light soothing music will greet you. What I ordered is green curry with chicken that comes with a rice. Food heat level is not at par to what I wanted even when I added chili flakes to it, I have a high tolerance for spiciness. I enjoyed my lychee Thai iced tea and my wife was very elated to have her fresh young coconut drink which was uniquely served. The food is elevated, authentic, unique compared to ordinary Thai spots. We did find multiple male hairs in the duck curry one time.... So I'm not sure how far hygiene goes in their delicious meals. The only downside is that when you walk into the restaurant, there's a certain smell , but it could just be because it is located in the basement but other than that, the restaurant was very pretty and very nicely lit! The staff was very friendly and very accommodating as they even brought out a dessert with a candle for my husband's birthday! The dungeness crab was my favorite! This spot has become one of our favorites in Queens, more on the pricer side, but when you enter the ambiance is VERY beautiful with amazing decor, spacious seating, and just an overall beautiful vibe.
