As far as the food it was not the best Thai food on Long Island as they claim. We ordered spring Thai rolls for an appetizer. The moment we opened it up they were burnt. We also ordered 2 orders of shrimp pad Thai and the shrimp was rough! It tasted like it was cooked, left out for a bit then warmed up. They were very rubbery, oily and reminded me of mystery meat. My experience and expectation of thai fish cakes was not this. It's a staple for my wife and I. So far, every dish that I have tried has been fresh and flavorful. I love the tanginess of their tom yum soup. They give 2 big shrimps for the soup bowl and the veggies are very fresh. The spiciness is just right. Enough where you KNOW it's there, but not so much that you can't finish the soup or that you'll choke if gulp it down too fast. I had the drunken noodles today and the menu gives one hot pepper sign. Since my wife ordered the curry which had 2 hot pepper signs, I couldn't wuss out and leave it at that. I asked the server to bump it up and make it at least 2 hot pepper signs. My bad...oh so my bad...the dish seemed to get spicier and spicier as I was eating it. I had to take swigs of Thai iced tea to be able to get through it. Of course, I couldn't let my wife know it was that spicy. Her curry dish is always on point. I do like their basil in the dish. Adds a fresh flavor to it. Their shrimp rolls consists of 5 jumbo shrimp fried with a tangy dipping sauce. Of course that was wolfed down too. Customer Traffic: Majority of customers were people ordering take-out which caught me off-guard because it was Sunday, May 29,2016 (My Birthday) and people coming from church or families usually would fill these restaurants. Lobster Pad Thai: I hate to break this to everyone who saw the Lobster Pad Thai...(sighs)...it wasn't good. I ordered this dish expecting tender pieces of lobsters sautéed into the pad thai but I didn't get that. I took a first of the lobster and chewed it,kept chewing it, chewed it some more and spit it out. I told my father to taste the lobster to make sure I was not being dramatic and chewed it, chewed it some more and he said "Don't eat the lobster, the consistency is like gum and it must have been frozen." How They Resolved The Issue: I called the waiter to tell him "This dish was not good and is it possible we can have a manager?" I made sure to only have two pieces of the lobster so if the manager thought I was lying, I saved her some food. He took my plate and gave it to the chef and the manager. Tell me how I saw the manager taste the piece of lobster and spit it out? (Drops The Fork) The waiter came back and replaced my meal with the Chicken Pad Thai w Tofu and that was way better than the Lobster Pad Thai. I have been always hesitant about sending my food back but why spend my father's money on a dish I couldn't eat? They did not charge my dad for the Lobster Pad Thai and apologize profusely about this and I appreciated it. Will I Come Back?: I don't think so. It totally blows away other Williamsburg Thai restaurants (there are at last count one on every corner, I think). They had an excellent list of vegetarian choices (take THAT Sea and Planet Thai with your premade curry bullshit) and, AND...this is the best part, on page 1 of the menu they tell you to indicate the level of spicyness that you want. (four chili peppers means "VERY very hot, usually only ordered by Thais" ). Yeaahhh, I may be a white girl, but I have the taste buds of an Asian girl because HELLO, Sri Racha is like ketchup to me and I literally EMPTY the small jar of that red chili pepper hot sauce on my entree at any Asian restaurant. Fix me up with that shit, yo! I kid you not. My Tofu Basil dish came out so perfectly spiced, not to mention tasty as all fucking hell, that I did not need to bury the tender tofu slices with mounds of red bits. I was in heaven!!!! My husband and I recently visited Seeda Thai for lunch and it was not what I expected. Two stars are for the service and one is for the food. The ladies serving our table were very nice and attentive so whoop whoop for them! The food was a little disappointing. The flavors in both the stir fry and the Thai basil were great. The Thai basil had me sniffling with spice. The shrimp and the beef in both dishes were so overcooked that they were tough to eat. The shrimp dumplings were tasty enough, but needed something to spice it up. This place is excellent, been going here for almost 10 years now and although I had a hiatus when living distances from Valley Stream, the food is amazing! Thai food is unique, and can be as spicy or not spicy as you like. I prefer the spice! Green Curry, Spicy Noodles, and Lemon Grass Soup are my favorites. One of the best Thai restaurants around. I like to come here for lunch because they offer lunch specials ranging from $7.99 and up. You get a soup or a salad plus your meal. Ordered the pad kra pao basil chicken which was as flavorful as it was painful. The Thai iced tea barely providing relief from the heat. The crab fried rice was a large portion and quite good as well. Service is a tad cold and gruff but prices are reasonable. You don't have to wait long to have your meal. The food is the most amazing. It doesn't matter what you order, you won't be disappointed. One of my favorite dishes is the Panang Chicken and of course the coconut soup. My family and I have been eating at this Restaurant for over fifteen years and never been disappointed. Allow me to clarify: the Thai dishes I've had at Seeda have been quite good - decent portion sizes, good flavorful food overall...on my last visit here, I decided to try their crab cake appetizer (I know, who orders a crab cake in a Thai restaurant?), and much to my disappointment it flat out sucked: greasy, rubbery around the edges (clearly from microwaving), and a wasabi dressing that was all burn & zero flavor...one star removed Second star removed because of their stingy ways - aside from being a bit overpriced, they charge extra for the simplest things - I'm sorry, but an up charge for white rice with a curry dish? c'mon now. Bottom line: be prepared for extra cost, but good Thai food - if you stray to the non-Thai dishes, well, best of luck to you. read more

I've only had one item from this restaurant and that is the Panang curry. I love, love, love Panang curry! Anytime I go to a Thai restaurant, that's the first thing I get. I'm a bit biased, because I believe I've had the best Panang curry that NYC has to offer and that was on the upper east side, however, this Panang was good! The spicy level could have been spicier. This is my go-to chicken Pad Thai and Tom Kha Gai place in LI/Queens and possibly NY. It has the most authentic pad Thai flavor compared to most places (I'm looking at you, Frankly Thai) and it's especially tasty if you get it spicy. The only thing it can improve on, IMO, is the portion size. For $15 or $16 dinner pad Thai, they should definitely fill that white rectangular to-go box up. Had to call them once because it was waaaay too little and could see huge empty gaps in my box. The tom kha gai also is quite flavorful (get it spicy!) but should add more chicken or mushrooms or onions in the soup. It's a tad empty.
