I AM A FAN AND A LOVER OF SEE'S CANDIES BUT WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS LOCATION? It's not my first time at this location but today was just the worst experience ever. JOSHUA made me write this review. He's also the reason I gave this store a 3-star rating. Sorry not sorry. Is this guy a seasonal employee? He should be! He's not suitable for a customer service type of job. There was a line when I came in, and when it was my turn, he NODDED at me. That's his way of greeting me. I was expecting at least a "Hi".. coz that's what I usually get from the other employees. Or a smile. But a nod? A rude nod that you'll likely see your older brother doing. Lol and then when I told him I wanted a 1 pound box, he asked me what I'd like (he's just like talking to his guy friends), i said assorted. He pointed to the pre-made boxes and told me there are assorted chocolate boxes in that section. I said I want to customize. And he said ok. Dude I wouldn't waste my time in line if I'm just getting those boxes. He never spoke a word while I was choosing my candies. Nothing like "what else would you want?" Or "is it okay if I go over a pound?" When it was time to pay, he asked me to go to the corner counter by hand signal like "come here" and he gave my box to his co-worker without telling me that that person will now assist me or whatsoever. He never thanked me. Never smiled at me. He was even sighing while I was there. What a rude boy. You may be tired. But the customers may be tired too. And see's should give us some cheer. I went to this store today after the terrible service I received at another See's store. I placed my order online and was able to pick up my order the same day. Plus, I was in and out of the store within 5 mins. All of the staff were very attentive and sweet. I highly recommend buying your See's Candies at this location. read more

It was Christmas Eve, and dang it, I still had shopping to do. As each and every holiday season approaches, I make a solemn vow to get my gift shopping done EARLY, but I never, ever, never, ever do. I got up early and dragged myself over to the mall. There was hardly a soul in the place. Yay, for me, tears for the retailers. I got all of my shopping finished pronto. That left plenty of time for my very last (last minute) Christmas tradition--bringin' home the See's Candy. I grabbed some Victoria Toffee, Peanut Brittle, Milk Chocolate Cigars and some other goodies. See's quality has remained constant for decades. We always had tons of it in the house during the holidays when I was a kid--mom was a chocolate maniac. It's nice to know I can depend on See's to fill the house--and our tummies--with chocolaty joy on Christmas morning. I do get a kick out of the older See's ladies in their old-fashioned uniforms. During my most recent visit to this store, a much younger See's lady handled my purchases at the cash register. When she tried to hand me a free sample, I politely declined, telling her it was way too early in the morning for me to eat a piece of chocolate. She looked positively incredulous. It was like she couldn't believe I didn't want a free chocolate. I almost took the candy anyway, for fear of hurting her feelings. For a minute there, I thought she was going to set off an alarm and have me ejected from the store. Well, here it is January 2nd, and there are only a few picked over pieces of See's left in one, lonely box. I'd call that another candy success story. Thanks, See's. Who could help themselves when this store is conveniently parked in the center of the mall? Vast selection here! But because I only have time to come in on Saturdays, I never receive service as all of their employees are behind the counter ringing customers up. I can't really complain though because I never need their help - I'm only there to pick up "Awesome Nut and Chew Bars" which is by far my favorite. The description says it's a to-go treat for adults, but I started eating those things since I was 13. Oooey gooey nougat, nuts, honey, and dark chocolate...mmm! A box of 8 is only $9.80 (tax included) while the single bars are ~$1.50. The line sometimes takes a while for them to clear. Fair prices for chocolate especially when they're in competition with Godiva chocolates downstairs (though I will admit I hoard Godiva chocolates more so than I buy See's). While you're paying, grab friends/family, and everyone gets samples at the counter. I don't know what it is, but free always (okay, not always but pretty damn close given that the thing is edible) tastes better. read more

Customer service was great, guy helping me was patient as I chose my own 1lb box. I felt a little pressured and struggled to see all the flavors since it was so packed. We stopped by to grab a raspberry cream chocolate. The lady working welcomed us with sample chocolates. While ringing up the charges, an extra 0 was added (making the charge 10x original). She apologized, put through an immediate credit and didn't charge me for the single chocolate. Wonderful customer service. read more

We came in and it was packed. There was one lady name Destyne (I think that's how you spell it) working all by herself. We were still greeted with a welcome and a smile despite he being swamped by people asking for samples and things. She was so pleasant and when I asked her to wrap my candy for the 4th of July she did an amazing job with a perfect bow too. She is AMAZING and Sees is so lucky to have such an exemplary employee like her. She needs a raise, promotion, the works ASAP! read more

The customer service at this location is top notch! It is a tradition for my daughter and I to go once a month for a treat. I love the free sample provided while in line. It is such a nice touch. The women that work here are incredibly patient! I saw one customer order a mixed box of chocolates, pay for it, change her mind, and the sales clerk simply asked her what she wanted instead. The clerk then apologized for my long wait however I was so impressed with her patience and outstanding customer service that it did not bother me in the least! There are many delicious classics and it is fun to try some of the new chocolates as well. We always leave here with a smile. read more

I realllllllly like Sees. They give you a free sample everytime you go in there, and if you don't like what type of free sample they give you, you can get something else. Sometimes, I don't even have to buy anything!! But, I usually feel guilty and do anyway. I loooooove their puffy white mints, molasses chips, caramel patties, sugar sticks, and peppermint patties. Ugh, let me try this again..... my dang phone locked up, I lost everything I wrote arghhhh! I woke up this morning about 2am, I reached for a box of See's that I took from my sister. ( I'm visiting ) anyways, It was dark, but not too dark that I couldn't find my favorite square piece of candy, I knew it would be a caramel with almond, yum!! I bit into the candy, I had quite a big bite and chewed this yummy morsel, hmm no almond, just a yummy chewy caramel, almost brown sugar tasting piece of candy. I wondered why it was so different, I'd never tasted it before, and I've had quite a few pieces of See's Candy in my lifetime. I told my sister all about it while we were walking in the mall in Arcadia. 400 Baldwin to be exact. She's like let's go into See's and see if that's even a kind of candy, maybe I was dreaming? Let me tell you, we were met by an amazing sales associate of See's Candy, I explained what I had, omg she new exactly what it was, it was something that's not normally at See's it's only in See's when they have extra, it's only made for a certain box of candy. This gals name is Susie, and she's amazing, talk about knowing everything about See's, See's needs to make her a specialized training person or something, I've never had anyone, probably in any field, retail I mean, that knows so much about the product they are selling. If you have a favorite See's Candy, or have no idea what your favorite is, but remember what was in it, go see Susie, just describe it and she will know, amazing pure and simple. I love their candy and theme of the store but when I come here I already know I want the preboxed and prebaged candy. I always get stuck in a huge line of people making their own boxes. They have 2 other registers but they're never open. They need to have a line for people who already have what they want in hand or more workers available. read more

Great customer service. The staff is always welcoming and everyone does a great job at accommodating my needs! They always seem to be giving me little goodie bags here - I guess people tend to change their minds a lot and end up not getting their chocolates and the staff doesn't put it back due to heath code reasons? Normally I love going into See's Candies stores; the service, atmosphere, and above all - the chocolate - is usually superb. On this particular day, we were on a "girls weekend" and all the women in our family (about 7 of us) went in to buy some chocolate. While in line chit-chatting, waiting to be offered samples, and enjoying ourselves, we were abruptly told by the unfriendly female worker to "move" for the customer behind us who was purchasing. It seemed as tho because we weren't purchasing a ton, we were wanted to move out of the way. And I was never even offered a sample. There were no smiles, and we left in a bit of a bad mood. They need to train their cashiers to better represent See's Candies!! read more

Negative rating for Randy at the Santa Anita Mall's store. Can they send this guy to a carnegie for customer service training. I just purchased 50# of chocolate at the Santa Anita mall's store. Before purchasing, I asked one of the staff if someone can help take the chocolate to our car in the parking lot, as it would be differcult for me to move 50# of chocolate by myself. One of the staff said they can, so we made our purchase. After completing the purchase, Randy came out and said it is against company policy for any See's employee to leave the company premise while on duty and due to a prior incident when an employee got hurt, they are no longer allow to help customer take things to their car. I find this disturbing on several level. One, grocery store does this all the time. Two, there is general liability and worker's comp insurance. Three, the likelihood of being hurt while taking things to a customer's car is not much more or is similar to working on premise. Four, would they have deny the same request from an elderly or disable person? Five, Randy could have graciously help me take the chocolate to my car and then inform the staff that due to whatever reason, they can no longer assist customer in taking chocolate to the customer's car. Six, customer wouldn't ask if they don't need help. See's Candies earned a F grade from me for their exceptionally poor level of customer service. Randy, you only have one opportunity to make a bad impression. In this economic climate, can you really affort to piss off your customers? read more
