    Candied Apples

I had dinner in Alhambra and spotted a chocolate factory. Say what? Did I read the sign correctly? I just had to go in to check it out. Fortunately, the city has a parking structure next door with four hours of free parking. Diana helped me make my selections, which was a slice of chocolate covered bacon. Say what? Did I read that label correctly? My second item was a cashew cluster (milk chocolate for me, dark chocolate available). They make gourmet candy apples dipped and covered with amazing toppings. They also have ice cream cones and Milkshakes. Plus lots of candies and plush stuffed animal collectibles. If you are craving something sweet, or gift for that person who has everything, surprise them with a sweet snack or gift card. Don't forget to tell'em that Rosemary sent!!

Was lured in by the sign that said that Dubai chocolate bars were available! My youngest was just telling me he wanted to try it and lo and behold, it was here! I didn't know what to expect or how much it was, but I'm down for new experiences! It is pricey, but what isn't these days! When I tell you it is delicious, believe me! I lived the pistachio center and the crunch was amazing. IMO We ate the entire bar so quickly! Mind you, we tried to savor it, but couldn't resist! My daughter says it was 'mid', so I asked her what she was expecting. She thought it would be more creamy. I honestly didn't get to peruse the shop as I was laser focused on getting the kunafa bar. It smelled so delicious though! All I can say is that we tried it and 3 out of 4 approves, so that's good odds as far as I'm concerned.

Called in ahead to save the viral Dubai pistachio chocolate bar, luckily I was able to snag 3 of them for me and my friends so I don't think they have a limit to how much per person can buy. They have a nutty and little bitter taste, but still nicely sweet. They were $17.50 each if you're curious and want to try I think it's a good buy!

Disgusting, moldy, and old tasting candy apple. Ate a few slices before realizing there was a foul taste, examined the apple and found fuzzy green and white mold in the apple. Stay clear of this place.

$11 for an old spoiled apple wrapped in hard marshmallows. I don't know how long these apples are out but they should really do a better job making them fresh or at least making sure the ones on display are fresh. I was really excited to try this spot but will definitely not be going back.

Stale toffee bar, white powder coating on top. What's that? Terrible toffee.

Wanted to support a small business but the quality was so bad. The chocolate was very old and stale tasting. I'm a genuine sweet tooth so for me to throw sweets in the trash is a never, but that's how bad these were. This was my first time stopping by so I wanted to try the variety. I got peanut butter cup, s'mores truffle, chocolate covered strawberry, coconut chew, caramel chew, candy apple and the toffee bar. Everything was bad and expensive. The toffee tasted worse than what I would've got from a heath bar at 7-11. Only thing decent was the caramel apple. All in all Very low quality. Not sure why they are not refrigerating leftover candy, but it could help with strong staleness taste. The staleness was overwhelming across all the chocolates. Also the chocolate itself tastes low quality. Thickly Glopped on and slapped on the different things it covered. Everything purchased reveals that either the person making these has no idea how to make good Candy and/or owner just doesn't care. Nothing special here. You seriously can make the same thing at home yourself with a little time on your hand. Go to Sees for your chocolate. Sees is priced appropriately and experts in their craft. I won't be back here.

Looked liked chocolate covered strawberries but are NOT

Went for chocolate covered strawberries. Purchased what I thought were chocolate covered strawberries. Only to get home and Vite into them and they are just chocolate. I am highly disappointed. Why would these be on the same row with the chocolate covered strawberries?!

Candy Apple spoiled! Discussing that they don't check the apples.

Expired candy apple! Grossed out by this location. Wasted my money on this, should of never stopped by. This business needs to close down for terrible quality.

Mold infested chocolate brownie. Purchased the assorted goodie basket to find old and stale products.

The inside of the Dubai Bar! So delicious!

I am a returning customer. They started making the new viral Dubai Chocolate Bars & let me tell you, they are sooo good! They are a good size for the price and I would definitely recommend checking out their new chocolate bar.

I walked in here trying to support a small business but their chocolate dipped strawberries were gross. You would think they would be refrigerated to keep them fresh but they are not they are left out with the the rest of the chocolates. The strawberry tasted like it had passed its by date and they stems did not provide any indication that they were fresh. The chocolate was overwhelming it was like a super thick coat. My stomach was not happy for a few days

I guess this is the spot for coffee and pastries in Pasadena. It was a cute shop with a millennial-friendly aesthetic. Brick walls, exposed ceiling, and lots of hanging lights. Case full of beautiful pastries, house chocolates and merchandise for sale. The line moved quickly enough, and service was friendly and reasonably fast. A table opened up for us when we needed it, and we sat and enjoyed our coffee and pastry. I got a salted honey latte, which was delicious. I'm not a habitual coffee drinker, and this felt like a special indulgent little treat. I'm not a pastry person either, but the kougin amann was fantastic, rich and buttery and shatteringly crispy. I also got a chocolate croissant to go for my husband, who said it was really good. We sat for maybe half an hour, and when we left, someone was there to take our spot, and we had to squeeze past the line that was coming through the door. I don't like coffee and sweets enough to do all that on a regular basis, but I enjoyed my visit to Artisanal Goods and would recommend it if you want top notch pastries in Pasadena.

I was able to find parking nearby luckily and that was probably the hardest part. However, it was also really hot that day so I came prepared with a big hat because I saw the line wrap around the building. I know there is some seasonal items that sell out really quick to keep an eye out of. The chocolate croissant was great and I'll have to wait to try some of their other items next time which I also hear is amazing. The dining area isn't the biggest popular places. It's probably not the easiest to find a spot to sit and enjoy unless you time it correctly.

Their menu is limited but everything I've tried so far has been amazing. 1. Believe it or not, the rainbow cake here is just as phenomenal as the famous paradise cake from Kings Hawaiian in Torrance. That's actually what led me to The Wild Whisk's doorstep - I wanted to find the unique cake someplace closer to home because I refuse to trek all the way out to Torrance again, not when gas prices are what they are now. Anyways, the rainbow cake is an exquisite light chiffon cake with layers of guava, passionfruit, and key lime. The flavors were subtle and in perfect harmony, complemented by the light whipped cream. This is such a unique type of cake that you won't find at most bakeries, so I highly recommend trying it here. 2. I also purchased their ube cake, and it was good but it had a strong coconut flavor - which doesn't usually appeal to me, so I won't be getting this one again. 3. The basque cheesecake was delicious with it's dark caramelized top and rich and creamy center. I love basque cheesecake because I'm not a fan of the usual graham cracker crusts in cheesecake, and I would always forgo that part. With basque cheesecakes, I don't have to! Anyways, all of that to say I've tried alot of different basque cheesecakes and the one here is utter perfection. 4. They also just came out with a seasonal black sesame basque cheesecake, and it was heavenly. It had an enriched nutty flavor and was more subtle in sweetness. 5. Last but not least, the churro cheesecake was delectable with it's deep cinnamon flavor. ****************** My Ratings: 1 Star: Terrible; just thinking about it makes me angry. 2 Stars: Wasn't a fan so Not likely to return. 3 Stars: Meh.
