My addiction to Sees candies recently started up again, and I like to come by this store when I'm in the area. This store is located almost next to a Ralph's store. There's plenty of parking. This store is spacious, cool, and very clean. All the staff here are super friendly, and I've always offered a free sample. A pound box now costs $36.50, so prices have been steadily rising over the years. Unfortunately, a pound box isn't enough for the "one piece of everything" I'd secretly like to request, so I opt for my favorites, a mix of white, dark, and milk chocolate. My eyes are usually bigger than my stomach, so the box almost always ends up being heavier than a pound. So now my wallet hurts even more when I go to pay. I always plan to parcel out a few candies every day into my mouth to make them last until they're all gone. Unfortunately, they are always gone much quicker than I planned because they are so delicious - and so addicting. read more

Hey Oli, the purpose of a sample is so a customer can try something while they are building their custom boxes. It's not a gift with purchase or a thank you for your business. So when a customer who is preparing a custom 1 pound box and they ask for a sample, don't continue to not give them one until they check out. I think you've lost the purpose of what a sample is for. Try following your coworker, who gives out a sample as soon as somebody walks up to choose the candies for their custom box. You should do better. You made me ask twice for a sample while I was shopping and only gave me one after I asked twice and everybody else already had samples from the other employee AND I was done choosing the candy for my custom pound box... Do you need more training? read more

Visited sees candy because I had a sweet tooth and also to buy my family some candy. I was greeted upon entering which was a plus. Denae V was the one who helped me picked some great chocolates and she even let me sample a few. I ended up getting a pound of chocolate of course I'll share it. lol The store was clean and organized and everyone was being helped by an employee. There was everything you would expect from a trip to sees, sweet customer service, free samples, and lots of great options. We opted to make our own little half pound box of goodies. Was so happy I made it before they closed !! As Valentine's Day is tomorrow and they are my wife's favorite. The store was packed full of people like me wanting a last minute gift...and everything went perfectly well. One thing that can't be overlooked Is there inventory...they were fully stocked and the speed at which they were helping people was impressive...they had 4 lines going...in a store that's not too big! I truly love Sees candy and I have since I was a little girl. It's a staple in my family to get this chocolate for holidays. So as soon as I moved back to California I made my way to the nearest location. The chocolate as always is delicious but the customer service not so much. The young girl that served me clearly had an attitude and a problem serving someone who wasn't white. Because the other customer in the store who was Caucasian definitely got a different tone and better customer service than me. Update. See's candy manager contacted me via Yelp messages. I responded with my contact info and was left on read and never contacted back. The incident happened 3/30/2023 it is now 04/07/2023. Though they have sent two messages I have responded to both saying yes you can contact me, and thats it from their side. As apologetic as the owner tries to seem with the response to the review, their management is not proactive in response, investigation or team training. Looking back on past reviews I'm not the only customer who's received racial profiling with this location. I will not be back. Even if that means driving out of area to avoid their business. read more

It's the seasonal treat time! The Halloween caramel apple scotchmellow hits the spot and keeps me coming back year after year. It's such a delightful treat, sweet and tangy goodness. The half pound of chocolates makes for easy consumption and disposal of the evidence before heading back to the office. The chocolates weren't the only sweets though. Just finished leaving sees candies and I am very disappointed in their customer service during this pandemic. I walked up to the door and was approached by a worker and was told that they only take orders online or by phone ,ok sure i will follow the guidelines. I stood outside the building and I called the # after several attempts I got through, I was told that I could only order one flavor and the minimum was 1/2 a pound. Well clearly I didn't have one flavor in mind, I wanted at least 3 , so I said thank you and hung up. I thought ok maybe due to Covid it was a new guideline of sorts. Well as we left we did a follow up call to ask a question and once again they said one flavor we asked why, she said they were busy, then she said she wasn't busy all in the same call, So to the owners of this sees location, either your employee is racial profiling, being lazy or both, I would expect the staff to want to make money for the building specially in these times where many buildings are sufferings but clearly Ashley has other things in mind. I've been going to Sees candy both in the malls and free standing location for as long as I can remember. So when Sees open there store in Camarillo I was so happy that it was so close to my work which made it easier to pick up a special treats. The staff at this location are very accommodating that they take there time and give everyone there undivided attention no matter how much or how little each person is purchasing. If there's any way of putting no stars I would... worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life! I wouldn't be as upset if this shop was genuinely busy when we went in but they're was one customer in this shop... the clerk and this customer were just talking about very personal matters regarding custody and court days... while we waited she continued to just talk about her life as if we weren't there waiting for service! I LOVE all See's Candies locations and the Camarillo location is my absolute favorite due to the extraordinary customer service. The store has quick, easy access at a convenient location on the corner of a strip mall. The chocolate is always delicious and fresh. It is easy to find something friends and family members will enjoy. All of the employees including Dawn, Teri, Crystal and Michelle are very friendly and quick to give a welcome. One customer was having a bad day and seemingly taking it out on Michelle. I was very impressed at the kindness Michelle showed the customer regardless of the way she was being treated. What an example for the rest of us waiting to purchase our chocolate. Crystal ran out the door one day to give a sample to a mature woman who was having a difficult time getting into her car. Apparently the lady stops into See's multiple times a week. When she did not stop in that day, and Crystal saw her in the parking lot, she ran out to give the lady and her assistance their favorite samples. That is amazing caring and considerate customer service. Sure enough the lady was having a rough day and did not have the energy to go into See's to make her typical purchase. I am still in shock rubbing my eyes. We really have a see's candies in Camarillo. What a god send lol. I was in here today to get a custom box of chocolates for my mom and myself haha. The gal working was the manager I didn't catch her name but she is a doll. Chatting away with her made me feel like we had been friends forever. Let alone this store being in my hometown, it had the home town feel. Talking with other customers, bonding over the chocolate/sugar fix we were about to get. It was nice to come in to this store and not deal with the stress of the mall let alone the mall parking. I am literally on cloud 9 knowing I don't have to go back to the mall for chocolate. Very good, service is fast and of course the candy is great but very expensive. Hard to have any issues at Sees because it's just candy but I will return during Valentines Day and Mothers Day since this is my families favorite. read more
