    a display of caramels

A must stop when I see a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. Mostly in shopping malls and outlets. I love their caramel apple. Nothing compares to theirs. The green apples are always fresh and crisp and dipped in the most delicious caramel sauce. The prices at this location are reasonable compared to some of their other locations. The service was ok could have been better or friendlier.

What was supposed to be the Dubai chocolate pistachio knafeh bar but ended up being a nearly solid brick of just chocolate

We were really looking forward to trying the viral pistachio "Dubai" chocolate bar from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory in Camarillo. After waiting months for it to be in stock, we finally got one -- and honestly, it was a huge letdown. First, the bar was solid chocolate. Not just thick -- literally a heavy brick with barely any pistachio filling inside. For $30, we expected something rich and filled with crunchy knafeh bits, not a block we could barely bite through. On top of that, the chocolate had a strong coffee flavor, like it had been cross-contaminated with another product. We weren't expecting coffee at all, and it completely overpowered any pistachio taste. This was not worth the hype, and definitely not worth the price. Disappointing experience all around. Wish we could get a refund since it was so expensive!

Did a phone order a few days before pick up date. Ordered chocolate covered strawberries and caramel apples. DELICIOUS. The staff makes sure to have the strawberries freshly made atleast an hour before pick up time.

This Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory location is located next to the food court of the Camarillo Outlets. I've been wanting to get a caramel apple for the longest time and finally I was able to stop in and purchase one. When I first first walked I saw them in the cabinet right there in all its glory. There's so many different flavors with different toppings that they're dipped in. There are ones that are a little more classic with minimal things on them and then there's ones that have tons of everything on them. I went with the Rocky Road Caramel Apple and it was amazing, I loved how all the different textures of the marshmallow, nuts, chocolate, and the apples all played off of each other. It's a huge size and it's a feat to finish it all in one sitting. The workers ask you if you want it whole or if you want it sliced so you can eat it right away. I didn't get much of a chance to look at the other chocolately goodies they had because I would be too tempted. They are very quick and efficient and kudos to the workers here. This place is amazing, keep me away from here.

Couldn't resist while shopping at the outlet. Tried the $10 Oreo cheesecake apple. Was it overpriced...surely, but when you crave it, money is no object. Lots of choices from the display case ranging from $9-$14. Due to Covid, had to stand by the door, which was blocked at the entrance. Workers were wearing masks and gloves. A nice treat during sad times.

Favorite place to visit and a must stop when shopping at the outlet! All the choices and appetizing desserts make it so hard to choose! Got this apple to share among 3 people for dessert after eating at the food court.

It's always a fun time visiting Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and grabbing a sweet treat after a long day of shopping. They are located outside of the food court which is super convenient if you want dessert after your meal. They are following Covid 19 procedures and have a window outside to take orders. They are not allowing people inside of the store. They have a variety of frozen treats which is perfect for these hot days. I never leave the store without getting one of their famous candied apples. Today I got their Almond and Milk Chocolate Apple. They give you the option of having the apple whole or slicing it for you. The only downside to this place is the prices can be a bit pricey. If you plan on getting a lot of treats, be ready to spend a pretty penny.

Can't walk by and not pop in.

You can't pop in and not buy something. I am obsessed with the caramel apples. Favorite flavor apple pie but you can have any flavor you want. Came in for one apple but ended up leaving with 6 Great customer service. The ladies in here were very friendly and helpful.

This shop is located just next to the food court in the Outlet malls in Camarillo. Pretty easy to get to from the 101. The staff has always been friendly to me and the chocolate is great. Apples also super fresh. I usually come here for a candy apple and love that they have SO many different kinds. Downsides are the shop is small so it can get crowded and sometimes you have to wait to be helped. Also the prices are kind of steep. If they were a bit lower I'd come more often. As it is I stop in maybe once or twice a year.

The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is located in the Main Court (middle section) of the Camarillo Outlets. When my wife and I pulled into the outlet, she had her heart set on getting a candied apple, but we noticed the Rocky Mountain Chocolate factory was not where it used to be. My wife was bummed so we went on with our shopping. As we turned towards the foot court, my wife's eyes lit up as she saw that it had relocated to its new location in the outlets. The space is very similar to its last location, maybe even a tad smaller. Not quite sure when they moved, but regardless they have the same amazing chocolates, candied apples and other sweet treats ready to fill that sweet tooth. They have 3 glasses cases full of various types of candied apples, and they all look so delicious. We went with the sea salt Carmel Apple and it was the perfect treat to share. They will cut it for you for ease of eating and put it in a small paper tray so you won't get your hands sticky. If you love chocolate, and are shopping at the Camarillo Premium Outlets, stop by and get a sweet treat from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.

Stopped by the outlets because a candy apple sounded fantastic! I ended up getting three to share with my family. The cookies and cream was the best of the bunch. The triple chocolate and white chocolate were also delicious! They were completely out of white chocolate clusters, bark and other white chocolate options which was disappointing because I'm one of the oddballs who loves white white chocolate.

As someone who has traveled to Europe many times and tried a variety of local chocolatiers there,…read morethe huge stream of 5-star reviews (and finding out the owners were French) had me ecstatic. However, my experience was disappointing. The two girls in the shop were almost asleep. One was barely conscious, the other was trying to make up for her. The chocolates looked very interesting, but they were rather dull-looking and often hard to differentiate because the display case had no lights. Add to this the already dim lighting of the store and that it was an overcast day outside, and it felt like trying to buy chocolates in an old library. As for the chocolates themselves, they did not taste like French/European chocolates at all; they had the very standard American chocolate taste-that is, Hershey-like and with no deep resounding real cacao flavor that is like bass from a speaker on your tongue. That's what real European chocolate tastes like. This was just sugar, sugar, sugar, and cute designs. Maybe they are using cheaper American ingredients rather than importing higher quality ones? No point in having the Eiffel Tower on your logo if you wouldn't be able to keep this store open in France. But the best part: the girl at the counter didn't let me try anything other than the three pre-selected types of bon bons on the sample tray! How cheap can you get? I've never had any chocolatier deny a sample of a simple truffle, especially not one with the gall to charge $3 per chocolate in a tiny town like Carp! $35 for a dozen, just to not even be able to try what you are putting in the box? Apparently, it can be so rich and thick (European Style) that it is part healing warmth and the other part just wildly delicious. So I decided to go ahead and find a cup of thick, and rich cocoa to hit me with holiday splendor, the kind that can re-assemble Frosty after his final melt. My friend Conrad and I were the duo who ventured to ChocoVivo to try chocolate, on chocolate, on chocolate, with some water on the side. ChocoVivo is in Culver City. The place itself is on Washington Blvd amidst some bars, and eateries. This place lends itself to be a dessert spot, an experience for chocolate lovers and those who are not, and anyone who just wants to experience the taste of chocolate in-depth and in odd luxury. As soon, as I entered, I made a beeline for the counter. I was overwhelmed with all the chocolatey choices: pastries, drinks, squares, with the list continuing exhaustively, it even included a chocolate skull that might serve better as decoration than a treat. I excused myself and went to use the restroom, I dared not ask questions to understand my options, when my bladder was full. I might make rash decisions, due to my inability to focus. And with so many options in front of me, I wanted to sample what was right and balanced for me. I wanted to sample chocolate, I just did not just want to taste chocolate. My trip to the facilities was a small adventure in itself. I passed a room with a man working on his laptop. But the room, seemed to be, like a Sultan's rest-room. It had pillows, hanging lamps, and a cream like colored that reminded me of sun-kissed sand. I clipped the room. There is a Minion (from Illumination fame) chilling in one of the couches. Another picture shows, a fishing net (maybe) with make-shift clouds pouring out of it, also leafs and butterflies. It seemed to be the remains of a shipwreck but it also held decorations that could have made the space more beautiful. I believe, and I could be wrong, of course, that this room used to be functional. A place to lounge, and see beauty, while enjoying chocolate. Now it was a forgotten room, whose purpose never fulfilled, and thus had stuff scattered around. I am sure, everyone can relate to that feeling, of getting stuff for an imagined room that never quite materializes and thus the room becomes storage, more than anything. Kondo deliver us! After, I came to the cashier, I ordered a hot chocolate. Conrad made a point, that the hot chocolate I ordered was not the European sipping hot chocolate that I had talked about on our car ride there. He then. made a point, that I should read a menu and then ask questions. I ask questions, as I read the menu. I eventually, ordered two hot chocolates, (one for him and one for me) and then we sampled 12 chocolate squares--- a sampler. The total was close to 60.00 dollars so this is an experience that is not going to the local mart and buying a Hershey's bar. The 12 chocolate samples were just great and enough, there were bigger samples, which I considered buying, but the price deterred me. The one that I got was super appropriate for both of us, by the end I was enjoying slightly by force, I mustered the strength to finish the half marathon. The full marathon would have tapped me out. The samples came with a card. Conrad was the one who was consulting the card, so we could not what chocolate we ate. It was truly fun, to be with someone who read of the information of the card, and then we tried to identify the taste as the card described. I wish I would have taken a picture of the card, but honestly, I am more of a determine by taste taster than a person who wants to be informed of what he is tasting, to know what he is tasting. I do remember the worst tasting chocolate we tasted--- it had black tea infused into it, I do not remember its cacao percentage, each chocolate had a cacao percentage. The hire the percentage, the sweeter the chocolate. The black tea had this earthy and tea taste that was profound. I guess imagine tasting. a black tea without sugar that is kind of the taste I struggled with. I am glad I tasted this chocolate, however, because it was part of the whole experience. I did not drive to the beach and endure a pothole, I drove to the beach and was both intrigued and jolted by the bounce that the pothole produced. Some chocolates I really enjoyed, the hot chocolate was goodness in a cup. The chocolate sampler also came with an espresso that was split into two cups. I was provided a knife to cut each chocolate. I put the knife in the center with one arm, and use the other hand to pierce the chocolate. My halfs were not perfect. Sometimes Conrad got the bigger half square, sometimes I did. I annotate all this so one knows that when you visit ChocoVivo you will need to work, if you want to split those chocolates, but the work was part of the fun!
