Located next to the food court at the Camarillo Outlets, this Rocky Mountain chocolate factory is a good place to get dessert after a food court feast. It offers a wide variety of caramel and chocolate covered apples, almost anyone you could want except for the one I wanted of course. I used to get a snickers apple at the Huntington Beach location. For some unknown and poor decision making reason, I was told they no longer offer the snickers apple at Rocky Mountain stores. Now customer service at this location is top notch, so they went through the different apple options with me, and I ended up with the Rocky road for a whopping $12. I got it cut to enjoy in the food court. They didn't skimp on the chocolate as you can see from my picture. It's a thick layer of chocolate atop the apple. As you eat the apple the chocolate falls off and makes several fun size candy bars. Overall I enjoyed the Rocky Road apple but it didn't come close to the snickers, which I hope they bring back. We were really looking forward to trying the viral pistachio "Dubai" chocolate bar from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory in Camarillo. After waiting months for it to be in stock, we finally got one -- and honestly, it was a huge letdown. First, the bar was solid chocolate. Not just thick -- literally a heavy brick with barely any pistachio filling inside. For $30, we expected something rich and filled with crunchy knafeh bits, not a block we could barely bite through. On top of that, the chocolate had a strong coffee flavor, like it had been cross-contaminated with another product. We weren't expecting coffee at all, and it completely overpowered any pistachio taste. This was not worth the hype, and definitely not worth the price. Disappointing experience all around. Wish we could get a refund since it was so expensive! read more

This Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory location is located next to the food court of the Camarillo Outlets. I've been wanting to get a caramel apple for the longest time and finally I was able to stop in and purchase one. When I first first walked I saw them in the cabinet right there in all its glory. There's so many different flavors with different toppings that they're dipped in. There are ones that are a little more classic with minimal things on them and then there's ones that have tons of everything on them. I went with the Rocky Road Caramel Apple and it was amazing, I loved how all the different textures of the marshmallow, nuts, chocolate, and the apples all played off of each other. It's a huge size and it's a feat to finish it all in one sitting. The workers ask you if you want it whole or if you want it sliced so you can eat it right away. I didn't get much of a chance to look at the other chocolately goodies they had because I would be too tempted. They are very quick and efficient and kudos to the workers here. I like coming in here. I like their caramel apples and fudge. Last time I was in here they were out of the chocolate covered licorice, chocolate dipped apricots and fudge so was a bummer. It's always a fun time visiting Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and grabbing a sweet treat after a long day of shopping. They are located outside of the food court which is super convenient if you want dessert after your meal. They are following Covid 19 procedures and have a window outside to take orders. They are not allowing people inside of the store. They have a variety of frozen treats which is perfect for these hot days. I never leave the store without getting one of their famous candied apples. Today I got their Almond and Milk Chocolate Apple. They give you the option of having the apple whole or slicing it for you. The only downside to this place is the prices can be a bit pricey. If you plan on getting a lot of treats, be ready to spend a pretty penny. read more

This shop is located just next to the food court in the Outlet malls in Camarillo. Pretty easy to get to from the 101. The staff has always been friendly to me and the chocolate is great. Apples also super fresh. I usually come here for a candy apple and love that they have SO many different kinds. Downsides are the shop is small so it can get crowded and sometimes you have to wait to be helped. Also the prices are kind of steep. If they were a bit lower I'd come more often. As it is I stop in maybe once or twice a year. read more

The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is located in the Main Court (middle section) of the Camarillo Outlets. When my wife and I pulled into the outlet, she had her heart set on getting a candied apple, but we noticed the Rocky Mountain Chocolate factory was not where it used to be. My wife was bummed so we went on with our shopping. As we turned towards the foot court, my wife's eyes lit up as she saw that it had relocated to its new location in the outlets. The space is very similar to its last location, maybe even a tad smaller. Not quite sure when they moved, but regardless they have the same amazing chocolates, candied apples and other sweet treats ready to fill that sweet tooth. They have 3 glasses cases full of various types of candied apples, and they all look so delicious. We went with the sea salt Carmel Apple and it was the perfect treat to share. They will cut it for you for ease of eating and put it in a small paper tray so you won't get your hands sticky. If you love chocolate, and are shopping at the Camarillo Premium Outlets, stop by and get a sweet treat from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. read more

ADA holds that: handler is responsible for the care and supervision of his or her service animal. . A service animal must be allowed to accompany the handler to any place in the building or facility where members of the public, program participants, customers, or clients are allowed. Even if the business or public program has a "no pets" policy, it may not deny entry to a person with a service animal. Service animals are not pets. So, although a "no pets" policy is perfectly legal, it does not allow a business to exclude service animals. Today, January 30th, 2021 I walked in to make a quick purchase with my service dog in toe. Mathew was not only DISRESPECTFUL, but CLEARY has NO understanding of laws that protect MY legal RIGHT to have my SERVICE DOG with me. He RUDELY dismissed me. As I tryed to explain the LEGAL RULES that protect my right and that of my service dog, again he yelled at me to leave the store because he was NOT going to allow me to purchas anything. If this rating reaches owner Kim LaMonica, I highly encourage you to settle this mis- treatment, unjust treatment and make it right. Mathew insisted that because she was wearing no service vest, I was to be excluded from service. NOTE: NO VEST...tags etc are needed to identify my dog. But that was his ONLY reason for not serving me. If this issue is not resolved, I will have NO other choice but to seek counsel on the matter. Sugar-free chocolate. Almost seems like an oxymoron, doesn't it? Saw an entire section dedicated to the stuff and gave the SUGAR-FREE ENGLISH TOFFEE a try. Unfortunately, it was not good. Did not have much taste at all aside from the outer nuts. Toffee part seemed either old or cheap and low-quality; neither crisp nor chewy texture, but rather tacky and easily got stuck in my teeth. And not in an enjoyable way either since the taste was lackluster. I was crazy enough to spend almost $10 on a CANDY APPLE. Worker chose one from the display case that didn't look too fresh, so I pointed out a different one. She rolled her eyes and was clearly annoyed to accommodate my simple request. Tried a PEANUT BUTTER BUCKET which I expected to taste like a giant Reese's peanut butter cup. Was it big? Yes. Did it taste as good as a Reese's? No. Was the price worth it, $4 or $5, I think? I've purchased candy apples from grocery stores before with the apples not tasting their best that is not the case here, this place uses granny smith (green) tart apples that are nice and crunchy with juices pouring out- you will not get a bad apple. They slice the apple into wedges for you if you like too. So many crazy varieties that you can get to top these apples. I had a peanut butter, dark chocolate drizzled on top It's wall to wall covered in chocolates, cookies, Ice cream, chocolate covered bananas, toppings galore, candies and other little nick knack-cutely wrapped tasty sweet treats.
