Stopped in for some Rocky Road to go. The staff here is always so nice and professional. One of the young ladies mentioned she had never had Rocky Road which any chocolate lover knows quite well. She mentioned that she was not that fond of chocolate. I asked what her favorite flavor was and she told me it was fruity pebbles. It's not a 31 flavors choice but she mentioned it's terrific. Not very often but when it's so hot the only thing that would taste good to eat would be a banana split. I stood there watching. The worker got big scoops of ice cream. Then they put my toppings on. And had to squish the lid down to close it. However I think I've been fooled. I think the ice cream scoopers were smaller. And the containers seemed to be smaller also. They still squish the lid down where you would think the container filled up. ...But the container seems to be smaller too. I think I've been a victim and shrink-conflation. I ate my ice cream, it was delicious as always, except I still felt hungry after eating it. I could be wrong but the scoops looked smaller and the containers looked smaller to! Stopped by to try their Dubai Inspired sundae and it was pretty good. I love coming here cuz I love their Jamoca almond fudge. Anyway, the place is clean and staff are friendly and nice. You really can't go wrong with Baskin-Robbins. Every location I've been to consistently has great ice cream and delicious flavors. We also love their cakes and the variety they offer. That said, this review is especially based on the customer service we received this evening. The young lady who helped us was working by herself. We were only the second in line at first, but shortly after, a large rush of guests came in. She handled it all with so much grace and kindness. She was very sweet, worked quickly, and stayed professional--even when a few customers were a bit rude. The wait time was minimal the entire time, and she kept a smile on her face throughout it all. If her manager happens to read this, she truly deserves a raise. Handling that many customers alone and doing it so efficiently is impressive. read more

My family and I stopped in tonight for ice cream and it was honestly one of the worst customer service experiences we've had in a long time. We rarely go out for treats like this, so it was really disappointing. The two employees working were both rude and seemed irritated that customers were even there. The employee who took our order was especially unpleasant, she was practically tossing the cups of ice cream across the counter and had a very dismissive attitude the entire time. It felt like we were inconveniencing her by ordering. Something as simple as getting ice cream with family shouldn't feel uncomfortable, but the way we were treated completely ruined the experience. Management should really look into the customer service at this location. read more

So many issues with not only the technical part of my gift card, but the tone of voice, and argumentative responses from the employee were shocking from such a well-loved brand. i have been going to this place at least once every 2 weeks. I always feel very welcomed by Charlotte (employee) that works there. She is very patient and always welcomes me with a great attitude, that being said I go in with my 2 lil kids 6 and 2 years old and they are always undecided on what to choose. Charlotte always has a lot of patience on giving us time to decide what ice creams to get. She is the only one there that makes us feel welcomed and not rushed when we go. Today I went in and I had to ask her for her name since she is always very nice and professional. That being said there is one girl not sure her name last time I went I felt she got mad at me and her tone of voice I did not like the way she spoke to me and to the client behind me, that why i am always happy when Charlotte helps us with our order. I Went in because I saw an offer for 1.99 scoops parent pass so I downloaded the app to get my daughter some ice cream. Since I was unfamiliar with the app I asked an associate who turned out to be the manager how it worked. She proceeded to tell me ohh I just scan your app. I said ok cool thanks. I went on and ordered 1 scoop In a cone. Teresa the manager gives me my ice cream in a cup and I said I wanted it in a cone and she goes on and says well I'm going to have to charge you. You're going to charge me even though I asked for a cone and she's repeats well I heard a cup. You're going to charge me for your mistake? She annoyingly gives me the ice cream in a cone. I go to pay and I scan my app, the price doesn't change and I ask ohh I thought you said they were $1.99. Yea well it didn't Change it. I said but you told me before you helped me that all i had to do was scan my barcode, yea well you have to use the continuously then why didn't you tell me that when i asked. well I assumed you knew. I go on and tell her if I knew I wouldn't be asking you how to get the 1.99. Deal. I asked if she was able to honor the price since she had misinformed me how the app worked and she says nope I can't do that. After all this I asked who's your manager and she goes I am. This is the worst management I've seen in a long time. She unable to properly communicate with customers and can't fix her own mistakes. I called customer service and got a call from the owner and honestly the owner was just as bad. Now I see why the owner allows her manager to be rude to customers. For local hand scooped ice cream this location is the only game in town. I love the consistency and quality of Baskin-Robbins ice cream...particularly when it's hand scooped. There are plenty of brands at any grocery store but I'd much prefer going to a scoop shop for my ice cream fix. The down side of this location is that it's rather small; definitely not a place you can hangout with your kids...not enough tables and no restrooms. Why is a freezer broken every time we go in? The floors and tables and walls are gross. Nothing ever looks new or clean or in good working condition. I've seen freezer frost build up drop into the ice cream and I've seen cakes and ice creams melt in the freezers. All the flavors are always the same. For 6 bucks a scoop we might as well go to a fancier ice cream store. This was a cute place years ago but it's run down and dated and not in a nostalgic way but a gross way. read more

The girls who work here give the best customer service, and the ice cream is good, of course it's Baskin Robbins, but the location is not that good, that's the only thing. There's no indoor seating right now but they did put some benches outside in the sun, which it can get quite hot out there. I wish they had some potted trees around the outside and make like a little patio or something where people could sit and relax, but if you come here to get an ice cream there's really no where 'beautiful' to sit, you're literally on a bench between two buildings, and facing a parking lot. Place is a joke...you are first greeted by a nice wiff of urine (complements of the hobos outside), then reminded that the minimum wage employees are just angry at the customers or to be working in a disheveled establishment...either way they insult you because hey YOURE the problem, then as your feet stick to the floors trying to make your way to the register you're reminded AGAIN their gift card machine is down...then the employees remind you it's your fault again and to travel 30 minutes to Oxnard to get a gift card. I ordered a photo printed cake for my daughters birthday. she was so excited because it was a picture of one of her drawings. we themed her birthday off of this image. I was meant to pick up the cake at 12:30pm. 30 minutes before her party. however I was running late and got there at 12:45 only to find out that the cake wasn't done! they said that the photo printer was broken and had been all day. I get that machines break down BUT if you can't complete an order you should call your customers. they didn't bother to call to let me know so that I could make other arrangement. instead the owner told them NOT to call me and she tried to get me to pay full price for a plain white cake. since I now only had ten minutes until my daughter party I was forced into buying something. she gave me the plain cake with a $20 refund and a ton of attitude. the owner was incredibly rude and dismissive. she said she didnt call me because she thought she could fix the machine, but when I got there she was interviewing people. she wasn't trying to fix anything. she knew that if she called I would have taken my business elsewhere, so she set me up to be forced to buy a plain white cake for $35. The only reason I gave their place two stars is because her staff tried to help me and were incredibly sweet and understanding. I hope the young woman who helped me moved on to anotherplace that will appreciate her honesty and talent.this place is not it. If you don't want to work at Baskin Robbins then find yourself another minimum wage job. They stop serving milkshakes at 9pm but don't close until 9:30pm. I came in at 9:02pm requesting a milk shake and the gal with red hair said they stop serving shakes at 9pm. More than likely because they don't want to wash the blender. Wish I could give them one star. We buy ice cream from here once or twice a week for years. High turnover rate and have had soft melted ice cream a few times but other than that no complaints. Today we stopped by and ordered our regular: two single scoops and one double scoop. The scoop fell off the cone when my 8 year old took her first lick. We were literally 10 feet from the front door so I sent her and my son back in with her now empty come to get a replacement. She came back sobbing because they refused to replace it. I went in and spoke to the manager who told me that if she had dropped it inside the store, they'd replace it. Since it was outside, yet clearly visible, she'd have to buy another one. Like I said. Tonight we met Savanah and Salvador and let me tell you - PROMOTE THEM! They were helpful, friendly and attentive. They both listen to what my mom wanted (she likes her sundae a very specific way) and there was no eye rolling or hesitation in giving us our order.
