Large selection of frozen foods and canned products. This location is just a few blocks from my girlfriend's place. Great prices. I'm just writing this because I accidentally came by on a Saturday where they released those stupid bags people are collecting... yknow... a crowd for that CAN get hectic. I've passed by this Trader Joe's location for years, probably over a decade, but never got the chance to stop by until this past weekend. This location is located at the corner of Imperial Hwy and S. Beach Blvd, in the same plaza as Burlington. As most TJ customers know, the parking lot is usually not the greatest, but it was not bad for an early Saturday morning. There were plenty of parking spots and they have a huge variety of flowers, both in and outside of the store. I was able to find the items I needed quickly and was on my way. The cashier was friendly, like all Trader Joe's locations. I cannot attest to the quality of the produce and fruit section, but I expect it to be the same at all TJ locations. TJs always busy but glad its near. Sometimes their veggies are bad... like avocados and onions are so mushy and gross. The good: My mom likes their thinly shaved beef. Their already cooked organic chicken breast is bomb and almost always sells out. Their TJ moisturizer (also price has been creeping up). Rose facial toner. Never got to try the kimbap bc its sold out. But i get these from hmart since they have tons. The korean short ribs are a hit or miss. And I dont like their vanilla ice cream. But the coffee one is good. They also need a good caesar dressing cuz all the ones they have arent good. read more

This Trader Joe's seems fairly new and is located in the La Habra area off Imperial Blvd. There is only one doorway with entrance and exit using the same door. Usually, they would have one door that's an entryway and another with an exitway. That was one thing I noticed, that was different about this location. Parking seems like it is a large lot but for some reason, this place is always busy. There are also a lot of customers frequenting here. My favorite things to get here: 1. Grapefruit juice 2. Blueberry Elderflower 3. Mushroom style pizza 4. Hand cream 5. Try their everyday multipurpose cleaner in the fragrance of cedar wood & Sage! It is that good and I always use it everywhere. First time at this particular location, I have passed it many times but never went in. Today came in with my friend to get a few things. I love Trader Joe's I usually go to the Brea one I love that location everyone there is so sweet. We found everything we needed I liked the layout of everything here and it's really clean. The parking lot was a little insane lol cause it's on imperial where it's very busy and everything is there. I am giving it 3 stars because I was at the checkout and almost blacked out from a dizzy spell in front of the cashier and kinda fell to the ground for a moment. Thankfully my friend was with me and I was ok after a few moments. But the cashier didn't even ask if I was ok. If I saw someone almost fall to the ground the first thing I would do is ask if they were ok and if they needed anything. I'm ok now but kinda surprised that she didn't even ask but it's ok she was nice overall. Maybe she got scared or didn't know what to do lol. I love Trader Joe's no matter what lol this store is one of my absolute favorite stores to go to. I'm not really sure I will come back to this location though. Alright, I'm about to commit a cardinal sin and gatekeep this Trader Joe's from everyone, especially those Instagram brothers, because this parking lot is hands-down the best out of every TJ's I've ever visited from San Diego to LA. It's absolutely huge, not confusing at all, and boasts multiple entrances and exits. Seriously, don't let them find out, or they'll try to re-do it! (Just kidding... mostly.) But on a serious note, this was my wife's and my first time at this particular location, and it was a fantastic experience. Every single employee was incredibly friendly, the food prices are, as always, great, and we've never had an issue with anything. I even got to chat with one of the employees about my new car as they were taking my cart back, that's the kind of personal touch you get here. I honestly don't understand how anyone could have problems with this Trader Joe's, or rate it any lower than 4-5 stars. Some of the reasons people give for low ratings are just bizarre, like complaining about employees having fun at work or not responding to medical emergencies (which, let's be real, isn't their job). You can't tell me that 100% of people at any workplace don't goof off a little. It's so weird to me. If you had a genuinely bad interaction with an employee, or if a product you bought was actually bad, I get that. But even then, Trader Joe's has an amazing return policy on food, and you can even sample things before you buy them! So instead of slamming them with a 1-star review because you didn't like a specific food item, maybe rate it based on the positive experience of their customer service or return policy, and then mention that particular item wasn't your favorite. This Trader Joe's is a prime example of why they're so beloved. Fantastic parking, awesome staff, great prices, and a solid return policy. What more could you ask for? read more

I was there today with my PTSD dog doing a quick shopping. I was approached by the manager who told me that my dog was not a service animal. He demanded to see proof of my dog being trained. He said that my dog sniffed the ground so she wasn't a service animal. I told him that it's illegal to ask for proof by the ADA. I'm going to have them listed for the careless way I was treated . I was there this week and bought four items to be exact and paid it with cash. I checked my receipt the next day and found out they overcharged me for the garlic. I purchased only four garlics and they charged me for 13 garlics. Come on now, I only bought a few items and still they weren't able to do it right. This mean I have to make an extra trip back to the store to get my money back. I was able to see the store manager to get my refund. The watermelon selection looked sad today. Nearby Walmart and Target are cheaper, too, anyway. However, I did not know you could split payments here! I used a debit and was able to pay off the rest with a credit card. Useful, and it wasn't a hassle. I tried the vegan chicken-less mandarin orange morsels, and I'm in love. I knew I wasn't crazy when I stored some of the sauce away for later. It's neat that it's separate, so you get to control the sauciness. Although, the nuggets are pretty tasty by themselves and have the texture and flavor profile of something between a fried tofu and popcorn chicken. The beefless Korean 불고기 is probably my current favorite, although it tastes definitely more like 갈비. It has the right amount of sweetness, and the portion size is reasonable. I kind of wish they had a favorites/bestsellers' corner or some sort of label for customers to locate the more popular items easier. I do have to say their vegan chocolate chip cookies are very bland, and I remember them tasting so much better like a decade ago. I stopped by La Habra location for the 2nd time. Everything looks same like Cerritos location. The flowers are so fresh, cheaper. I love the beautiful flowers here. I purchased Multi grain bread, Peacan pie, seasalt chips, blue cheese, kungpao chicken, salami less sodium, and etc. They have high quality foods, especially European style pasta, salami, cheese, pie, wines, and champagne.... I had to control not to buy a lot today. Haha... I feel like I celebrate Christmas day. Trader Joe's knows the qualities, prices, and customers' needs. My 73-year-old mother called to ask about the mini tote pastel drop. She was told it would happen sometime in the afternoon today, but when she asked for a specific time, they wouldn't say. So, she headed there around 2:30 p.m. once she arrived, she asked the manager who told her they were all sold out. She then asked 2 workers who told her there will be later today but time was to be determined by the manager. So, which is it? Why the inconsistency? Why be so secretive? It's so unprofessional. I ended up calling the location in Brea, which was so much more transparent. They said there's no more drop until tomorrow. Do not put pet friendly if you aren't! I normally wouldn't bring my dog to any stores but I already had him with me. I wasn't in the store very long before i was asked if he was a service animal. He isn't and wasn't barking or disturbing anyone but i was told i had to leave because of him. I love Trader Joe's and I always go to Brea location. Today I decided to go to La Habra, as I was nearby and I had purchased a plant a week ago and it died. It had all the Trader Joes tags and I was trying to get store credit towards my purchase. I was told there would be no credit by an employee by the name of Amy. She was incredibly rude. Such a shame to have such a poor customer service experience at a place I love. I called the Brea location to ask what the return policy was and she said there was no set guidelines and answers would vary by store. Their website does not have a return policy, so I guess the buyer just needs to hope the person they speak to at store is in a good mood, which was not the case for the Amy the employee at Trader Joe's La Habra. read more

There are lots of reasons to love Trader Joe's - creative and delicious products, good prices, a good source for chocolate and various wines & spirits. Nice greeting cards & inexpensive flowers. But every single time I come to this location I see employees goofing off - sometimes even groups of what looks like supervisors standing in a circle just gabbing away like they're at a cocktail party. The thing I see most - or what I think I see - one person stocking product and another person who may be on a break hanging around the person still working. Or trying to work. Or in today's case PRETENDING to work and both laughing and giggling. And not really working. And loudly, making no effort to even hide what they're doing. Always younger employees. It's rude, it's annoying, it's distracting & it's immature. Not sure why it's tolerated by management. Maybe they don't want to be accused of being hard or mean. But for every 2 employees who screw around there's one who works hard and who hates showing up because of this unfairness. read more

This Monday afternoon 2/21/23 I went to the La Habra location Trader Joe's. It's my first time. I got same amount of grocery as I got from Tustin location, about $100. End up some of the products are not fresh!? such as the bag of fuji apple, the bag of fancy apple ( $7 a bag, I forgot the name) are very bad and the box of cucumber I got is soft and not fresh any more. I am not sure I was unlucky that day or that's how it is everyday. Besides these, anything else I bought is great. I love Trader Joe's. I had been to Trader Joe's for many times, mostly in Yorba Linda, Tustin and Marina Del Ray. This 3 places are all very good, products are fresh and it maintain high qualities. Honestly, I would still like to go to this La Habra location, because most of their food are still in good quality, inside is nice organized, staff is super sweet. I have been to Trader Joe's in other towns. I'd have to say this La Habra store is one that I frequent often - mainly because the cashiers are friendly and actually engage in conversation without slowing down the check-out line. Too many stores nowadays just ring up your order, take your money, and expect a tip automatically. This TJ is smaller than some of the other ones, so it can get pretty crowded during peak hours. Parking can be a little challenging during this time too. For this reason, I shop when it's not busy. Another side note: there aren't any cart returns except in front of the store, so you'll want to park close by. I was here this morning inquiring about some bags and the lady at the customer service counter was so rude. She kept cutting me off and had a bad attitude by being so impatient. As I was leaving, I saw some bags I've never seen before and decided to buy all of them (8bags total) except the display bag and the same lady at the counter was YELLING at me IN FRONT ALL THE OTHER CUSTOMERS asking me if I'm buying all of them. I said yes because I'm giving them away as a thank you gift for my staff. I told her there's no sign that says there's a limit and she said "we like to save some for our neighbors". I understand all that but if you want to SAVE some-then put a sign for limits. DO NOT yell at a customer for your lack of preparedness. When I go to a store, I'm there to buy for MY needs.
