Stopped by today to bring some Easter themed goodies to coworkers (I was working extra at a different clinic just for today). Saw the Easter egg Scotchmallows, 6 to a box for $13.50 and bought two boxes. (Dark chocolate! Yeah!) Saw signs at the store that Coming Soon were Coffee Scotchmallows and mini Scotchmallows! Wow! Also noticed they have new mint Scotchmallows on display. In all honesty the original cannot be improved upon in my opinion, except to make them larger, as they did in the case of the Easter eggs! I had my hands full with my shopping elsewhere at the Montclair place and therefore forgot to retrieve my free chocolate sample when I paid and went to the car. Oops! Been to this location before, but I was looking for a specific item. Spoke to Maria on the phone and she was extremely pleasant and helpful. Arrived in the store later in the day and I was greeted right away. I asked for the item I was looking for and Amanda was a great help! Maria knew who I was and said she was so happy I made it in, the manager even asked if I had been helped while I stood there waiting. There were other people in the store and I was still greeted with the free sample of chocolate. The store is very clean and full of so many wonderful options and gifts. I took my mother-in-law into the shop to buy her a special box of Dark Chocolates; her son and I were going to be out of town for 22 days over Valentine's Day and I wanted a box of chocolates for her to enjoy - one a day - until our return. First off, we always enjoy the assortment of chocolates and other candy. This review is really for the outstanding customer service we experienced on our most recent visit. With so many businesses being impacted with a lack of workers, it is not uncommon to find employees working alone. This was no different at this See's Candies location. Although it was very busy, the lone employee, MICHELLE, did a great job. She gave personal attention to each customer, and at the same time, welcomed each new customer who entered. In addition, she thanked everyone for their patience and reiterated she would be with us as soon as possible. When it was our turn to select, MICHELLE gave us the same personal attention she gave to others. I love See's Candy! It's my absolute favorite candy...EVER! When presented with the task of buying holiday goodies for some of the organizations that my company works with, I immediately suggested See's. And with that being said, I stopped at the location in the Montclair Plaza on my way home tonight. I got there at about 3:30pm or so, and as expected, they were packed. I didn't mind though, as the line moved rather quickly. I purchased 17 prepackaged boxes of candy. Some assorted chocolates, nuts and chews, milk chocolates, and then of course, I had to make my own custom box to take home for my husband and I. All while I was in the store, the nicest young lady helped me. I can't remember her name, but she was friendly, talkative, and told me that so many of the candies that I was putting in my own box, were all her favorites too. This location of See's candy isn't really convenient for me to go to on a regular basis, but if I find myself in the Montclair Plaza again, I will definitely stop in. read more

See's Candy is always a great guilty pleasure along with being a welcomed treat when giving a gift. The quality at See's is always excellent. The only issue at this location from time to time can be the mood of the staff. Most of the time they are welcoming, other times they are not in happy moods. I have read the reviews of this store and some people feel the same way. I feel the quality is always excellent at See's. People have bad days, but I feel a review should be based on quality, location, price and service. This location would loose 1 star due to the service that I is not always excellent. See's candies are some of the best candies ever made. They are always fresh and delicious. The service at this location is excellent. Sometimes the lines can get long especially around the holidays. I highly recommend the white chocolate cashew brittle, dark chocolate walnut square, and the white chocolate apple pie truffle (tastes just like apple pie). The see's candy lollipops are very good too. The chocolates are expensive, but worth it. You can tell that the candies are made from high quality ingredients. Costco sells 1 pound certificates for cheaper. However, you have to buy a pack of two certificates. When you go in to the store they usually offer you a free chocolate to taste. read more

If you've visited one See's Candies, you've pretty much seen them all. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I mostly come here during the Holiday Season. The mall it's located in gets all warm & cheery, tantalizing coffee aromas from the Starbucks across the way fill the air, and the pretty packages of delicious See's chocolates call my name. I'm not a fan of low-quality prepackaged, generic chocolates that have more additives than actual chocolate in them. But See's Candies carries one of the biggest assortments of high-quality chocolates available. My favorites are the chewy nougats, particularly the Rum Raisin, and I love getting the whole Holiday assortment box during the Christmas season, as it has the best variety. And if you go in to buy something, even if it's just a lollipop, you get a free sample of one of their delicious chocolates. No, they're not cheap, but then few good things ever are. And who doesn't love some high end indulgence, once in a while? read more

I normally shop at their Chino Hills store but Montclair is closer to my job. The employees here are not very friendly and seem to not know what they're doing. The customer service at this Sees is not great. I just bought $87 worth of chocolate from here and got offered 1 sample, and it was one I didn't even like. I used to remember Sees giving you a choice of the sample you want, and when I've spent that much money in the past I've gotten like 3 or 4 samples. We stopped in this past Saturday, 12/14/2019 to get 1-2 pounds of See Candies but ended up getting out of line and leaving. This is a small store in the mall and we like to individual select our candy not grab pre-made assortments. Well this was not the day for that as the small line was full of "selectors" such as ourselves. The staff was overwhelmed which was there fault necessarily but nevertheless our experience was poor. We are used to being offered samples when we walk in the door of other See Candies stores but they were just trying to get customers through. I understand that it was the weekend and the holidays are here which I am sure is there busiest time of year but at $22 a pound for a box of chocolate, we were not going to wait when we can just go to another location. read more

So, I arrived at 9:55 am, waited in line for 45 mins and then left because even though there were only 3 people ahead of me, the customer in the front of the line was ordering for multiple people and even made several different transactions. None of the other employees stepped in to help those of us who had been waiting in line so patiently either. I asked if I could place an order and pick up my order the next day and the manager stated that this was not possible. So, I went to the Arcadia See's because I was able to order online and pick up my order the same day. I retrieved my order within 5 mins and the customer service was amazing! They have a 5 people limit which is understandable but we had a party of 2 adults and 1 child and instead of letting me bring my kid in with me while my wife waited outside they made it clear only 1 person could come in. We stop in for some See's chocolate every now and then when that "sweet tooth" kicks in. See's has been providing each visitor with a free sample of chocolate since I was a kid (and I've always looked forward to it). Our family favorite chocolate is the California Brittle: Nutty, crunchy, sweet and chocolate covered....more please! In addition the "pick your own" chocolates, they sell a bunch of pre-boxed, mixed stuff as well as various lollipops, candies and chocolate shaped treats (bunnies, cigars, bars, etc.) The customer service is always great here (as with most See's Candies locations). I'll admit that I bought into the "Godiva" craze a few years back, and I'll still buy other chocolate from time to time. But sometimes, only See's can satisfy my chocolate cravings. The 2 women working behind the counter were crabby today. Although it was only my party and one other person in the shop, the woman servicing us made us feel rushed and unwelcomed. We don't ever ask for multiple samples, because we hate when people do that, and we knew more or less what we wanted put in our box, so we don't really understand why she couldn't provide a better See's experience for us. You pay over a $1 per chocolate, so you would think their attitudes towards customers would be a lot better. Other than the less than friendly service, the chocolates were good as usual. read more
