Those who know me know I'm usually skeptical of food franchises unless they are doing something special. But after a few years in the area, I've come to associate these Bundt cakes, which come in large and mini sized, with birthdays, graduations, and celebrations. They look a little like an old fashioned Bundt cake your granny might bake, crossed with a pudding cake and something from the Safeway bakery case. Despite this, they taste surprisingly good: very moist, flavorful, and sweet. These cakes are moist, just the right amount of sweetness!!! I kept seeing this place while taking my Mom to the doctor and finally was able to stop in and try the bakery. Upon entry there were hand sanitizer stations; no one working wore a mask. We took home three bundt cakes; strawberry, butter pecan and lemon. The strawberry was good. Came here twice now, once for their anniversary where I got a free bundt care and another time just to buy some bundt cakes. So far I've tried: 1. Red Velvet: by far their best which is pretty consistent and all agreed upon as NBC's best flavor of all time. I've had it at a bunch of different locations and it's consistently their best flavor. This location make's it just as good as all of the others. 2. Strawberry and Cream: Pretty good but very very sweet. All of the flavors are sweet but I felt this one was excessively so. Still delicious but not as good as Red Velvet. 3. White Chocolate Raspberry: As all of their cakes are, very sweet and moist. I don't know how they make their cakes so moist! But this cake is also extremely sweet. Probably tied with strawberry and cream on the list. 4. Confetti: Really good! Tasted just like a really rich and moist and wasn't as sweet as the Strawberry and cream one. Tasted like a really moist and delicious birthday cake. Definitely second best behind Red Velvet. She runs the lights and hides by the shutter doors She comes to the door with attitude and opens it. She says Did you have an order for pickup? Well kind of I just wanted to get some bundtlets. She tells me they are closed. I said it's now 5:58 just turned 5:59 and two other girls come from the back like omg! Unbelievable. Honor your hours. Ok if you've never had Nothing Bundt Cakes, get your life together. It's possibly the best cake out there, specifically the white chocolate raspberry. Also, any of the seasonal flavors. And all the other flavors. They're just a whole lot of YUM. Now, this review is for this location specifically. I ordered a 10" cake 30 mins before I needed it (thanks to my husband telling me as we were driving through SF that we needed to pick up a cake for his mom on the way.. facepalm). The online order process was super easy and customizable, but I wasn't sure how it would look, if it would be ready actually on time, etc. Upon arriving to the location 15 mins later, the woman at the front told me it wasn't quite ready (which I expected). But 10 mins later, it WAS ready. 5 mins earlier than expected! The lady from the back brought it out to me, all nicely wrapped and decorated, complete with the extra frosting I'd asked for! She was so sweet, and I could tell she was passionate about her job. The cake looked and tasted amazing! My MIL and the rest of the fam were so impressed with the cake, much better than a grocery store sheet cake! So happy I discovered this place in Corte Madera! The first time I had their cake was at a Nordstrom event and I got so curious about where I could buy more from. Luckily, a good friend of mine took me to the Corte Madera location and I was so in love! What a cute little place that decorated nicely. They also offered some samples as well. My boss decided to leave us for a better opportunity amongst other food we celebrated with Nothing Bundt Cakes. It was a bitter sweet celebration. Not the cakes being bitter sweet but his leaving us. We could probably say we loved him. Greatest boss ever. Now as far as these little cupcake Bundt cakes we were eating... oh my. I always say I'm on a diet but I took one look at the beautiful array in the box and was tempted. They looked moist and creamy how could I not just try one?! So I grabbed the lemon flavor and in two bites it was gone and I became mad. WHO ate all the lemon ones?!!! The lemon ones.. I want more!!! Like the Cookie Monster ... I want lemon! We picked up lemon, red velvet, and cinnamon swirl. For $.50 extra, you can request extra frosting. Do it! So worth it. The lemon and cinnamon swirl were super delish...very moist...BUT, the red velvet was a disappointment. It was pretty flavorless minus the chocolate chips...I really wanted to like it...but I just couldn't. Sigh. So I recommend avoiding that flavor and just go with lemon. Can't ever go wrong with the lemon!!! So the trick is you've gotta leave the bundt cake out for a few to bring it down to room temp...don't eat it straight from the fridge. I am always excited when celebrating someone's birthday just because I know I'll have to get a Nothing Bundt Cake. If you forget to order in advance, at their counter they already have ones you can purchase. If the flavor you want isn't at the counter, they usually can have one ready in a half an hour. Overall, my all time favorite flavor is White Chocolate Raspberry, however, they all are delicious. Each month they have a new seasonal flavor as well. If you bring a Nothing Bundt Cake, everyone at the birthday party will be scraping their plates clean and will become a believer. The two girls working behind the counter were extremely rude. I personally feel awful for not stepping in and assisting the older couple in front who were treated with more respect. Horrible mostly cause the owner/manager is cheap and rude. First of all when I came in the owner was bragging about her Tesla. This is Marin lots of people have a Tesla your not that special and rich. Most rich people don't brag about there stuff. Then I asked if I could buy just a small cupcake for my young daughter and was told no, but "you can be cheap and get another sample." So, I ended up asking for one of there small single small cakes. When I asked if they could cut the cake into half they told me oh we don't cut cakes we don't have any knifes. What! None. So, how do you cut the samples I said. Then I said well could I just get a extra box or something to at least hide half of it and I'll just take a peace of it off the cake she told me I would have to buy a box. Your kidding me. Then I said so you don't even have a plastic knife no we don't as all our cakes come pre baked and cut for us all we do is add frosting and just use a knife that spreads frosting.
