I started seeing Rebecca when I was on Stanford Campus and she was working for the Counseling service there. I was having some personal issues which I won't detail here (nosy, aren't you?) and she helped me move forward with my life. I still check in with her when I'm having troubles and I've found her therapy very useful. Rebecca uses cognitive and behavioral therapy and really stresses mindfulness and awareness. I found this approach very useful. She's really good at arming you with tools that you can use going forward, rather than simple solutions to a current issue. As an added bonus she has later evening appointments which works great for folks with jobs and schedules that are hard to rearrange.

For example, he doesn't just tell you to be more patient with your kids or be a better listener to your partner. Instead, he breaks it down for you so you know exactly what your blind spots are and what you need to do to achieve your goals.
