I wanted this place to be great but there's something off here. In a town of almost a dozen Italian restaurants to choose from, they have not differentiated themselves enough, or even met the bare minimum. Simple tweaks can really help them. Food: Meatballs had zero seasoning and way too many breadcrumbs (chewy). Skip. Pizza was very basic. Skip. Pasta is not scratch made, which I feel is a huge miss, but their rigatoni à la vodka was al dente, which is how pasta should be prepared. Would get that again. After having disappointing apps, we decided a full meal wasn't worth the money. Maybe we got the wrong things? Staff: Sat at the bar and didn't get a warm welcome or "Is this your first time here? This is what we're known for?" Huge miss. Decor: This is more of a local strip mall vibe than Atlantic Ave. It's too bright and decor unfortunately looks on the cheap side. No background music. Small improvements can make this place worth a return, but in current state I would not go back when there are so many high end amazing restaurants only steps away. read more

What a find. Used to be 3rd and 3rd. Only opened 6 Months. We stumbled upon Segreto Italian just driving around. They have their own free limited parking and we walked into a beautiful bar and dining room. The bar has a TV at the end of the bar to watch the NFL Conference Playoff game with a GREAT Happy Hour menus. We wanted to sit at the bar, and not realizing it was still Happy Hour, we saw the Happy Hour menu and loved it, especially the fact that all the wines by the glass they carry were included with their Happy Hour prices. Our server Kelly was so wonderful. Instead of recommending wines, she let us do a tasting of some of the red wines they serve for us to decide. We did not even have to ask, she just poured 3 wines for us to taste. All 3 were good but we chose the one we liked the most. Deciding what to eat was easy. We love to split different dishes for Happy Hour so we decided to have the Segreta House Salad which was so delicious with a nice size portion of sliced avocado served with an amazing balsamic and vinaigrette dressing and candied walnuts. We also ordered their Calamari, Zucchini Fritti served with their red pepper Aioli sauce. This was crispy and delicious. We split the large meatball with ricotta cheese and ended up with their delicious Rigatoni Pasta and vodka sauce. Along the way my wife had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc for her wine choice. Every dish was so delicious and perfect portions for both of us to split. All these delicious dishes paired with two great glasses of wine for such a surprisingly great value, even for a Happy Hour. The flavors of every dish was spectacular. The atmosphere and service was so warm and friendly and the bar was so comfortable and cozy. Kelly made this experience so enjoyable. The Happy Hour is every day except Saturday from 5:00 to 6:30 and they are closed on Mondays. We were surprised to learn that reservations can be made for Happy Hour at the bar. That is quite unusual. For us, this was a perfect spot, away from the hustle and bustle of Atlantic Avenue. We can't wait to come back. read more

Came here for dinner. Off the beaten path of Delray. Decent ambiance. Limited menu and another menu with specials but apparently I was given the wrong special menu. Prices were Las Vegas strip hotel prices. Entrees $43-78. Minimum entree is $43 and the Ceaser salad was $19. We shared 2 Ceaser salads and honestly not that great for $38 as far as taste. Seafood risotto for $68 was ok but $68 which is really $85 with tip! Lasagna was $45 and was decent. Chicken Scarpariello was drenched in a muchroom Marsala sauce which was not mentioned on the menu and I hate muchrooms. Drinks were Vegas expensive as well. $6 for an iced tea. read more

This can be a 5* dining establishment with a bit of tweaking. Let;s first discuss the food: bottom line, it was outstanding, every dish. Only observation was the appetizer of hand rolled meatballs ($18) in san marzano sauce ricotta and pasta were not served NOT, and they were a bit too chewy. Everything else was plated and served beautifully. I would not miss the gentleman who accompanied the server to the table, or who brought the plates himself, as he was pretentious, shouting (because of the noise), the name of the plate he was bringing in a heavy Italian accent. Frankly, it wasn't classy, if that was the objective. Grilled artichokes ($19)were devoured by one of my dining partners who ordered it, and he loved them, and said so. He is sort of an artichoke expert, having been raised where his Mom made them frequently, and now his wife does so, for more than 20 years. THE RIGOTONI BOLOGNESE FETTICCINE AL FUNGHI WAS DIVINE, ABD DEFINITELY WORTHG RE0ORDERING, priced at $28. I had the roasted Chilean sea bass crusted with tomato breadcrumbs served with mashed cauliflower and basil sauce, at $58. Pricey, yes and no. Anyone who orders Chilean see bass frequently knows it is the most pricey seafood dish on the menu, other than perhaps lobster. It was worth every dollar! Desserts are scrumptious, and recommended. Our wine was a Sancerre, and I cannot recall the name, but it was the only one of the menu, and a reasonable price. And now to an issue mentioned by many people" THE NOISE. It is deafening, and only gets louder as people drink. Everyone is shouting at each other. And we were there on a Tuesday at 5:30 PM. Perhaps this is because they were only opened a short time prior to our dine in late October 2025. And there seemed to be free food and drink being given away at the bar, because every seat was occupied and everyone was shouting at each other. Like real loud, and it was truly annopying. Would I return? Perhaps, for the food. Out of season, mid week, but if I walk in and the acoustics issue remains the same, I'll walk out and go elsewhere. There are manyu Italian restaurants in Delray, with nice artwork on the walls, sharp servers, and outstanding food. I don't need to shout at my dining partners. That is not an enjoyable experience for me. read more

We went to Segreto Italia on a Saturday night and it was packed. It had been open for 3 weeks and I'd guess that it was mostly locals in attendence. It was very good, all in all. We tried the burrata, grilled artichokes, and the meatballs with san marzano. We liked them all especially the hand-rolled meatballs. For mains, we tried the bolognese and it was excellent The ravioli di zucca (butternut squash ravioli) was also good. We sat at the bar and were taken good care of. Good wine list and they were still working on their cocktail menu - the espresso martinis were excellent. I'd been to 3rd and 3rd and miss it, especially the live music. Segreto did a great job on the renovation. I guess things change but this one is a good change. read more

From the greeting you receive when you first walk through the door until you head home, it could not be a more pleasant experience. Segreto Italia is truly a beacon of light in an area with many mediocre Italian restaurants. Thoughtful, well-prepared dishes that are beautifully presented. Met a friend at the bar, where I had a lovely glass (with a generous pour) of a Rose from Provence. We shared the Carciofi alla Grilla, which may be the best grilled artichokes I've ever had (at least in quite a while!). Friend had the Lasagna di Manzo, which is made with slow-braised short ribs and a Bechamel. They loved it and took half home for round two tomorrow. I decided to treat myself to the whole Dover Sole. Note: IF you order Dover Sole, it is going to be pricey. What I appreciate is that Segreto Italia doesn't leave you guessing. While the menu states 'Market Price', the waiter made it clear up front what that price was ($90). That is what real Dover Sole costs! If you go somewhere and find Dover Sole on the menu for $50, I can assure you that it is not actual Dover Sole. The fish was filleted table-side side and it was a lovely presentation that included asparagus and zucchini. A real delight! Finished off with a perfectly made cappuccino. Just a wonderful meal overall. We were not rushed, service was incredibly warm and friendly, and they did a beautiful job renovating the former Third & Third location. Next time I go, I will definitely be trying the Rigatoni Bolognese, which I have heard is spectacular, and from the looks of it, I would not be surprised! Complimenti! read more

I, along with friends and family have dined at Segreto a number of times and I think it's a great place with good food and service. It's off the Ave so a little hidden, but to me that's a plus. Chris at the front door is one of the best and they always have good specials in additional to a solid menu and reasonable prices for Delray standards. read more

We walked in and immediately the service was great the staff was very friendly. We ordered the beef carpaccio which I didn't get a picture of but it was amazing one of the best I've had in south florida. For main courses, all of it was delicious. The lasagna was great along with the veal chop and Dover sole. The inside was very nice the only thing was it was very loud. Overall a really great place and I will be going back! read more

Only 20 days ago, I went to this restaurant and gave the five stars. The food was outstanding. The service was good everything about it. I enjoyed. I went last night and it was one of the worst experiences I've had in a long time. The food was not the food that I had 20 days ago. The service was not the service I had 20 days ago. What happened? Did they get a new chef Did the chef quit whatever it was I will not be returning just to give you an example I had the salmon it came out in a bowl of supposedly mashed cauliflower. None of the other things came with it. That the waiter told me about how to get the manager over and he said that that's the way it comes seriously and then he went back and brought me a bowl out of the spinach and tomatoes, which was swimming in oil. I don't even know why I ate it. I guess it was because I was hungry We also ordered a $58 Fish again. The person I was with had it before and said it was too much to eat this one was so small that they should be surprised that they would even serve especially for $58 and didn't have the same taste it very very loud and there were lots of people that felt the same way I heard them complaining just as we were. There was one customer not far from me said take the food back. Just give me my check. I wanna get out of here same problem It took an hour and 45 minutes really disappointed that this happened for a restaurant that the bill comes to over $200 a couple to eat there we will not be returning!!! read more

This restaurant shouldn't be a segreto (secret). It's definitely off the beaten path, close to Glimmer and Bedner's. Parking can be a challenge. It's only been open 3 weeks, but the focus seems to be on service and guest comfort. We loved the food and the service. The only real negative was the noise level. They said that the manager is well aware of the problem and is working on curtains and sound-absorbing panels. The food leans toward shellfish and red sauce. I had the Pollo Parmigiana and thought it was great. The chicken wasn't pounded as thin as I prefer, but it was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. It wasn't over-sauced, and I thought the sauce was delicious. It wasn't sharp. It came with some roasted potatoes. The Linguine Vongole Veraci was perfectly cooked, had lots of clams and garlic. The branzini special came with mussels and clams and a bit of broth and a side of asparagus. The fish was perfectly prepared and the flavor reminded us of cioppino. The only complaint about the Amatriciana Segreto was that it was served with paccheri pasta. My friend said it would have been easier to eat with a smaller pasta. For an appetizer, we shared the zucchini blossoms. The normal order is 3, but upon request, they gave us 4. For dessert we shared the blueberry cheesecake and babà al rum. We were surprised the blueberries were finely mixed into the cake - great! It seemed that the rum was poured onto the babà al rum just before serving. We loved that too. I was impressed with the service. Our main server, Griffin, had over 20 yrs experience at Abe & Louie's and it showed. The servers all seemed highly trained and to work as a team; it looked like they were training the bussers too. Our food came out together, was served to the correct person, there were no reach acrosses (which isn't the case at other S. Fla restaurants), and our water glasses were kept full. As it's new, we didn't mind a couple of tiny glitches -- they ran out of the wine we ordered by the glass, but had a good replacement. They ran out of cream for the coffee, but the manager ran out to get more. Coffee service was a little slow. Tea service was great; we each got our own pot. BREAD. Upon suggestion of our waiter, ordered "the best thing on the menu" the lasagna- If you like a dried up wedge of cheese , this is for you. We had an less than average piece of tasteless fish The veal parmigiana was good but doesn't make up for rock of dry cheese they call lasagna. Our waiter never once came over to ask us how we were. Told us it was the kitchen's fault for the wait for bread yet two tables that came in after us already had theirs??, Maybe it was because he was looking at his phone a lot- maybe it was the one other table he had ? The room was nice though Won't be back, plenty of GOOD Italian restaurants in the area. read more

There is so much to like about Segreto including its nice and friendly staff, welcoming vibes and good location away from the crowds of Atlantic Ave. I was with family and tried several items and the experience was varied. Chicken Parm was forgettable with a dull sauce and too much breading. A Pasta Bolognese had nicely cooked (al dente) rigatoni but the sauce was flavorless and lacked any depth and this was really disappointing. Both of these items reminded me of Italian food that I have had in non-Italian restaurants as the taste was just not there. Appetizers were also just okay with an Eggplant Parm that featured soft and mushy eggplant, however Calamari was fine and probably the best item of the evening. As the restaurant is new I would go back and hopefully enjoy the food more. read more

The Mater D that used to be at Campi in Delray relocated here. Clearly he is making this place pop as is his style. I think this will be the new "" talk of the town". I can see his touches everywhere... The food, the service, the ambience are all amazing. Christophe knows how to make a place successful. The staff seem to all follow his lead... The food is excellence. The service is warm and inviting. I think within the next six months this will be the hottest spot in Delray. read more

Exceptional food, wine, and service experience. Had a NY Strip Oscar Style (meat covered in creamy lump crab). Heads up, steak was ordered medium rare and it arrived medium. However, the steak is top 3 in Delray - so tender, it literally melts in your mouth and the flavor truly incredible. The sea bass was also exceptional cooked perfectly with a chunky sauce that resembled the texture and color of fine salmon caviar but with an amazing unique flavor. Ambiance is contemporary. The server, Rob, was great decanting wine upon request keeping glasses appropriately filled throughout the meal. The wine list is also quite extensive. The food here wasn't bad -- it just wasn't the best Italian I've ever had. What really ruined the experience, though, was the atmosphere created by the management. The managers were constantly hovering over the hostess stand, making the poor hostess look visibly uncomfortable. They also walked around the dining area, watching every table like hawks, as if they were waiting to see people's reactions to their food. It didn't feel welcoming at all -- it felt tense. You could easily tell that the employees were nervous, like they'd get in trouble for the smallest thing. It's honestly hard to enjoy a meal when you're feeling secondhand stress for the staff. The food might've been okay, but the management's behavior left a really bad taste in my mouth. read more

Saturday night me and my wife met friends of ours at Segreto, which is the old third and third, which has probably been five different restaurants in 10 years upon walking in. We immediately noticed a beautiful remodel job they have done. It is truly a beautiful restaurant started off with a very friendly waiter, who explain to us the menu and the specials, we first started out with a few appetizers, eggplant flowers that were breaded perfectly stuff with some sort of cheese, which were outstanding. The meatballs are ridiculously good moist in San Marzano sauce. We all had different entrées. I had to Langostino over linguine plenty of Langostino's fantastic dish my wife had the mushroom fettuccine, which was awesome And our friends had the lobster ravioli and his wife had the spicy rigatoni meat sauce ate truly four-star meal with four-star service. If you like Italian truly good Italian, don't be fooled by some of the new impostors restaurants that opened up around Delray this is the real deal. This is a place to eat. read more
