My 78-year-old mother-in-law brought her 2023 Honda Accord (only 30,000 miles, still under warranty, no issues) in for a simple oil change. While there, she was persuaded by a service advisor to approve a list of "recommended" services. Trusting the dealership, she agreed. When she returned to pick up her car, she was presented with a bill for over $1,700. It gets worse. Because she never thought her bill would be so high, she didn't bring enough money to pay it. They then convinced her to sign up with a third-party financing company to finance the bill at an interest rate of 21%. We only discovered this after finding the financing agreement in her email. When she couldn't clearly explain what she had agreed to or why the additional work was necessary, we called the dealership and discovered what had happened. Let that sink in: A nearly new vehicle No reported issues Routine oil change visit $1,700 in added services 21% financing for a 78-year-old customer This is not normal service--this is aggressive upselling and taking advantage of the elderly, pure and simple. We have since contacted the dealership and will be paying this off immediately, but the damage is done. More importantly, this raises serious concerns about how customers--particularly elderly ones--are being handled at Serria Honda. Stay away from this place. There are a lot of dealerships and service providers; look for those that have some ethical standards and will treat your parents the way they would like their own parents treated.

I kept it anyway, as I needed to get my car looked at and figured if my service was bad, we would leave. "Sandy" was fortunately my advisor, and she was fantastic. She went above and beyond, and not only was my major repair fully covered by their extended warranty, but she took the time after to explain all their extended warranties in case I had a problem down the line! She also felt very honest which is hard to find in the auto industry. I really appreciate that you have female service advisors, and I hope you keep hiring them going forward, as us girls can be uncomfortable coming to a dealer by ourselves as there is the fear of being taken advantage of. Sandy was great and I highly recommend her especially to those who might be anxious to get their car looked at.

    2020 Ford F250 lariet6.7 Powerstroke…read more Arriving at the service dep, the young service advisor asked what we were doing today, I answered a recall, mentioning I usually take the truck to GER Diesel for oil and more, "I haven't had a good experience the last few times at this service department" He quickly said, "Why don't you take it back to GER?" and laughed. I responded that I would, but I am required to bring it here for the recall. Already a lack of respect for customers, but this is very comment at this location. The truck has been parked in the back lot for over four hours now, " the truck has a factory GPS, something that was not mention to this service advice in his training, truck was setting for 4.8 hours with no progress. The recall involves updating the PCM. How do I know? Because it's common sense to look up how long the recall would take. I asked for a senior advisor that I won't mention the name, when I asked for him, this young advisor told me there is nothing he can do that I can't do, so I gave her an opportunity to get this done his way one thing led to the other end up driving by five hours later and I saw my truck parked on front. Nobody called me and told me the vehicle was done. I asked to speak with the manager and after a while, I found him and I relay my message and my bad experience at this service department Nobody wants to take time and write bad reviews but if I can help someone not go through this issues. I would consider this review successful. Called the service department many time but the misery continues when nobody answers the phone, very incompetent dealership. I don't recommend this place for any business.

Ask for him and he will definitely take care of you. The issue I had was during the appraisal because I was presented with a value which was $2,000 less than the online value. This was primarily due to a very small dent in the inside door jam because of the seat belt buckle got caught when I closed the door. The appraiser noted that it was structural damage?!!? Ivan even admitted that the car was pristine otherwise and even suggested that selling it to a private seller might be better. No budging on the value of the appraisal or the price. I could've walked away but the very low mileage of the car we were buying was too good to pass up.

Drop what you are doing and give Collin at Mini of Monrovia a call or send him a text. You won't go wrong. He is straight forward and professional. He knows what he is doing. He has been at this business for 10 years. If you have shopped for cars recently you have undoubtedly noticed that, although nice enough people, a lot of the car salesman are inexperienced and have not been trained well. It makes a difference when you get one who knows the job. Collin is that guy. Just when you are exhausted from the test drive and landing on an agreed price, and you are at your most exhausted state, they drag you into finance. Well, Mini of Monrovia has that covered, too. Branden, the finance man, is a gem. He looks the part of a money guy with a dapper suit and neat hair. He will take care of you quickly with just the right amount of friendly banter. It was a pleasure to work with him. Mini is a premium brand and it lands in a pretty solid price range when you consider you are getting German engineering. None of the small cars and SUVS in this price range will give you the kind of interior quality, fun handling, Stop reading this and give Mini of Monrovia a call....and ask for Collin, then insist on working with Brenden in finance. Unfortunately, the dealership's preparation of the vehicle was a completely different story. The detailers did an awful job. Attached is a photo of what the hood looked like the first time I saw it in direct sunlight. The entire car is covered in polishing marks and swirl marks from a terrible buffing job. They actually burned through the car clear coat so my car will need to be professionally repainted. The interior was also absolutely drenched with carpet cleaning products or odor eliminators that left the car smelling like burnt rubber and chemicals for days after purchase. After I drove the vehicle home, I called the dealership about the paint issues and was told someone would get back to me. I never received a call. If you decide to buy a car here, be prepared to spend thousands fixing the paint and cleaning up the mess they made
