Finally got to try this place for magical dining! We had a reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival. Initial service was kind of slow, but did get more steady as the meal went on. There are plenty of seating options (booths, high-tops, bar) and inside carried an elevated ambiance. For appetizers, we ordered the curry korokke (yummy) and the miso crab bisque (first bites were delicious, but it was very rich and was too heavy and filling by the end). Our entrees were the wagyu (amazing portion size, very balanced, and every part was fantastic) and chirashi (probably the best bang for your buck that magical dining has to offer). Seito Sushi has always been one of my go to spots for delicious and high quality sushi! This restaurant is located right in the heart of Baldwin Park and has tons of shops, bars, and restaurants nearby. Parking can be a tad confusing... as it doesn't have its own parking lot, so it's best to try to find street parking where you can. Now on the inside it's very darkly lit and gives off a very modern, sexy, and romantic vibes. This is definitely a spot you want to dress up a bit for! There's a good amount of seating inside the restaurant, at the bar, and outside in the patio. I recently went again for a birthday dinner and of course as expected... they exceeded my expectations! During this visit we ordered a few sushi rolls, Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice, Crab Fried Rice, and the Matcha Creme Brulee. Everything was super fresh and so flavorful! My favorites were hands down the Crab Fried Rice (which was a HUGE portion) and the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice, those dishes were so good. I also had an old fashioned which was nice and tasty... I've been here a few times and it's always a cute place to stop by after work for dinner. The staff here are always so nice and attentive. I tried the tuna crispy rice, and while the tuna was good, the rice was definitely not crispy and a bit greasy. We did really enjoy the curry korokke. The Ube drink we got was so good. One of the best drinks I've had in a long time. The quality of the fish here is great the scallop and salmon belly Nigiri were our favorite. Seito is cute inside and out and the sushi is always solid. I came for the first time for Magical Dining tonight and it's reputation did not disappoint. The restaurant has tall ceilings and is well decorated with the lighting darkening when it got later. Our server gave great recommendations and once we ordered food, all the food came out quickly. Everything was tasty but we especially loved the curry aranicini appetizer (the curry sauce was incredible), Hawaiian chicken, and brownie. This location is so much better, especially during Magical Dining. Everything felt well-executed and worth it. We ordered extra hand rolls, and they were excellent. The soup with bread was also on point--comforting and flavorful. The rolls stood out for their balance and quality of raw fish; everything tasted fresh without being overwhelming. The matcha brûlée is a must-try. It's creamy and smooth, not too strong on the matcha, which makes it a great dessert even if you're not a hardcore matcha fan. Parking was a little hard to find, but the restaurant is right by a beautiful lake, which made for a great walk after the meal. Speechless. This was truly one of the best sushi dinners I've ever had. I've always been a maki roll fan but wanted to focus more on the beautiful quality of fish that they offered. We started with the the beef tartare and I will be d*mend if I've had a better one in Orlando. The mix of Asian flavors, Gochujang spice, and crisp baguette were luscious and truly indulgent. I sometimes get overwhelmed with too many raw textures but this was perfectly balanced in texture and taste. So much so that I saved some to add to my wagyu nigiri. The next thing we tried was the blueflin nigiri fligt because they were out of the toro. PHENOMENAL. My husband looked at the fatty tuna in disgust thinking he wouldn't like it. One bite and I'm pretty sure he was ready to say "I do" once again. (Okay, it was out 8 year anniversary so love is on the brain)! We moved on to a few of the composed nigiri- remember the wagyu one I mentioned? We had the miso yaki, juicy red, and G6. These were all fine but they didn't hold a candle to the previous flight. The G6 (wagyu) was probably the most underwhelming, but if you're like me and save your tartare for a rainy day, you'll enjoy mashing the two together for a succulent bite. So where do you go if you have already felt the evening's nirvana? Right back to where it started (at least from the seafood side)! We ordered another bluefin flight and savored in that encore luxury. I wanted to try a few rolls but my belly real estate is minimal so I focused on what I knew would bring me those last dregs of joy before real life kicked back in (I.e. cheaper wine at home and leftover Thanksgiving that we were obligated to finish - I cooked it, I know!) We stopped by a few less-than-savory spots in Baldwin before our dinner so this felt like an extra special treat. I ended up parallel parking on the street and made a reservation a little over a week in advance. They have a gluten free menu which I really appreciate because it can be hard to accommodate a gluten allergy at a sushi place. I had the triple tail (with double yellowtail instead of salmon), rice, the truffle scallop and g6 (both à la carte nigiri). The yellowtail was my favorite. The staff were also great! I have loved Seito sushi for as long as it has been open. It was always my go to spot in college and it has evolved into such a fancy and chic atmosphere. The food and service are always great. Recently, my sister and I went for a lunch and I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they offer "girl lunch" which consists of a salad, miso soup, a sushi roll, edamame and truffle fries. They also provided a cute little pokey stick for dessert. The atmosphere inside is moody and nicely decorated. The patio outside is perfect when the weather is nice. I think the food here is good! Chef Huy definitely cares a lot for his craft and the sushi is here tasty and fresh. There's a food variety of rolls, hand rolls, sushi, and nigiri options -- with portions being fairly generous. It's hard to compete with the sushi scene around Orlando nowadays, but Seito Sushi holds their own. Everything is just so well done and delicious and so well composed even down to the cocktails. This is my second time here and we were a good group of 10 on a Friday night in the middle of Magic dining. The service was exceptionally slow. Our meal took 3 hours and the typical well timed plating of presentation was so off this evening. Our waitress did seem to have too many tables. So we were automatically charged 20% for the number of people at our table. Again the food and drinks were outstanding but the server didn't deserve the % she was given this particular night. We had such a great experience at Seito Sushi that I had to leave a review. My children and I shared several dishes so we could try a little bit of everything, and every single item was fresh and delicious. My little brother and I went here for dinner and we really enjoyed this quaint outdoor (we sat outdoors) or indoor seating. When I first arrived, I was 15 minutes early & I went to explore the bar area. One reason why I gave three stars was due to service. There was three bartenders two were busy one wasn't & never made eye contact with me. I waited 17 minutes until somebody took my order. I found out after that the bar manager I think his name was Phil made my drink and it was totally awesome better than the third person that wasn't as busy that made my 2nd drink. Phil made the best Cosmo ever. There was approximately 8 to 10 barstools with only two slots open but yet had two tables that had four chairs and four more barstool tables that had two seats at each that All had reserved signs on so I had nowhere to sit comfortably (pictured). At 6 PM. We had reservations, which I would highly recommend. We sat down outside and again the reason why I gave three stars was initial at first introduction took another 16 minutes before the waitress made her introduction. She takes our drink & appetizer order & The Beef Negimaki was amazing. The taste with the sauce and the oyster eggs was just impeccable so fresh and tasty. The waitress was amazing with her timing between appetizers and dinner. We weren't rushed and my little brother had the Shoyu Ramen which he loves and that's usually his go to. I ordered the rainbow and ultimate spicy tuna roll that came out with such a great presentation as you can see in my picture it's half eaten. It was so delicious & if you like wasabi and soy sauce, I would recommend it as a dip for your rolls. For my last magical dining of this year, I decided to go to a place I haven't been for a while. I always try to make a reservation on the same day, but then they get too full. So I made a reservation a couple days in advance for a Saturday night. I arrived about 20 minutes early, but still got seated 15 minutes before my reservation time with an apology for the wait. I was seated in the sushi bar area. I was given the requested magical dining menu, as well as the cocktail specials and regular menus. I tried one of the cocktail specials, the Japanese negroni (15 dollars). It was made with gin, sweet vermouth, and campari. It tasted sweet and herbal at first, but then had a bitter aftertaste due to the campari. I must say it was an interesting drink, and not that strong as I thought it will be. It was a good drink to try once, but doubt I would drink it again. For my appetizer, the crab bisque was such a rich and creamy soup with the perfect crab flavor. The bread that was included was a bit hard, but it had some spread/dip that made it much more enjoyable. It was because of the fish roe from the spread that have it a very nice seafood flavor. It took a while to get my main course, the wagyu steak. It looked to be medium instead of requested medium rare. But it still had a nice pink color and a nice charred flavor. It was tender enough to enjoy, but for wagyu, I wished it melted in my mouth as well. I savored the broccolini more, which had more of the blackened flavor I love. The shari risotto was quite rich and had an Oriental flavor. The juice from the beef sauce made it even more savory. The matcha creme brulee for dessert was light and had the earthy aroma needed. The jasmine cream added had a nice floral taste. The food just reminded me the days of being in Japan. While the service was friendly and helpful, it got to be pretty slow in getting my food and drinks. It took about 10 minutes to get my appetizer and drink, another 20 minutes for my entree, and another 10 to 15 minutes for my dessert. So my dining experience almost took 2 hours. It would have been fine if I was with other people, but I was the only person dining from my party. At least the social crowd and high vibes music kept me entertained. The atmosphere was upper midscale, with most people dressed in button up shirts. However, it was still family friendly as I saw crayons provided for kids to color. Outdoor seating was also available. Parking was no problem at the Publix complex. Even though the service was quite slow, I am still glad I visited Seito Sushi at Baldwin this time. I normy go to the one in Sand Lake, but I find the Baldwin branch to have more authentic Japanese flavors. Both branches have great vibes and very nice foods. What an amazing weekend lunch experience. We had miso soup made with quality ingredients, not the normal stuff you have at other places that are made from powder. I felt like I was in Japan. The salmon tartare was an out of world experience that my husband said was one of the best food he would take his mother to try. Fresh fish and nice crunch that will leave you wanting more after each bite. The pepper wagyu steak was soft and had a nice flavor. My hubby, brother in law, and I went to Seito Sushi at Baldwin Park to partake in Magical Dining for the first time! Shared the corn bisque and arancini for appetizers. Then we got one of each entree: The Trinity (salmon), Wagyu Top Sirloin, Korobuta Pork... I wished I recall what we had for dessert but I do recall we each ordered a different one and that they were good, though not as mind-blowing as the other dishes. Could also say the same with the drinks... good but the entrees really stole the attention. I must say, we were HIGHLY IMPRESSED by the entrees. Our tastebuds were definitely having a blast. We did opt for truffle upgrade for The Trinity -- super worth it! The Wagyu steak was so tender and juicy. And the Korobuta Pork was so flavorful, even pairing well with the taro puree. It didn't need the special sauce but that sauce was an amazing plus to the dish! We don't live in the area but we'd revisit even off Magical Dining season. And yes, I learned that the Seito Sushi by Disney is owned by the other brother and has a different menu... so I thought that was a pretty cool fun fact about the Seito franchises. The only downside, which brings this review down a star, is that service was LOOOOOOONG. Very friend staff, but it took FOREVER to get everything. We arrived a little after 5pm and didn't leave until after 8pm. If it wasn't for each other's company, that time would've gone so much slower. Here's my review of their 2025 Magical Dining menu which, despite the unexpectedly intense spice in two appetizers, totally deserves a 5 star rating. Appetizers: - Handmade dumplings: choice of ginger-scallion pork or Szechuan beef. I opted for the beef, not realizing that Szechuan-style is a type of Chinese cuisine known for its very spicy, numbing flavors. Tip for the staff: give patrons a heads-up about the spiciness level. I had to stop after just two dumplings, it was overwhelming. Luckily, a manager stopped by to check in and I mentioned it. He kindly offered to swap them for the pork version, which wasn't spicy and turned out to be absolutely delicious. Lucky me! It was some of the best dumplings I've ever had. - I ate half of my friend's Korean Romaine Salad, which came with crisp red romaine lettuce, sweet Asian pear, and zesty gochugaru vinaigrette, all topped with a sprinkle of green onion and pickled jalapeno. We agreed that it was overwhelmingly spicy for such a small salad. And I don't think there were any Asian pears in there. Maybe there were very tiny pieces and my friend secretly ate them all. Entree: - Wagyu Top Sirloin: 6oz pepper crust, Japanese eggplant, shari risotto, and beef jus teriyaki. Worth the $40 on its own. Seriously. Every bite transported me to a paradise of decadent flavors. The Wagyu was incredibly tender and perfectly executed -- highy recommend ordering it medium rare. I also learned that shari is the vinegared rice typically used in sushi. This was my first time having risotto made with it, and I'm now officially an advocate. The slightly tangy flavor cuts through the cream and/or cheese usually found in risotto. Brilliant! Dessert: - Matcha creme brulee with jasmine tea cream and strawberry. If you read some of my dessert reviews you know very well that I'm the dessert chef's worst nightmare: virtually everything is just too sweet for my palate. Seito nailed in this one: I not only love matcha but it is a dessert on the not-so-sweet side of the spectrum. The textures were also balanced, crisp on top of velvet. My husband and I were lucky enough to win a golden ticket to any of the good salt restaurants at the recent James spirit award nomination dinner that was held at the Chapman in June. We were advised that Seito in Baldwin Park might be a good location to have this dinner and we were so blessed with this opportunity! The chef really showcased exquisite expertise with flavor, freshness, and artful presentation. The integrity of what they're doing in this restaurant is super impressive. Based off of these dishes alone, I would tell people to come and try the menu at this restaurant, but I also know the dishes off of the menu consistently are delicious and extremely affordable for the quality you're getting. It has been so fun to watch this restaurant grow and evolve over the last decade so that we have been around Orlando. So glad they're open for lunch now, too! read more
