I feel nowadays people pay attention to not just the product but the entire experience- service, ambience, store design/flow, etc. This place is nicely laid out, clean, and has some amazing people working there. While a wonderful lady brewed coffee, I noticed it wasn't dripping into the carafe correctly and was about to over flow. I informed her and she was SO thankful and genuinely happy. Went here for breakfast recently. Their blended coffees were delicious! Bagels- ok. Better than the other location where the cream cheese tastes a lot like onions. They do put wayyy too much cream cheese on the bagels, which gets so messy. I felt like the employee helping us was very rude. We are polite people- we smile, say please and thank you, etc. she wouldn't smile- never thanked us, nothing. Seemed phased to have to help us. I would definitely come back in the future, IF that employee wasn't there. I really don't like rude people, especially when they are in a customer service role. I'm not only paying for the product but for some customer service. It's not that difficult to smile, be pleasant, and make customers feel welcome. Hire someone who cares more. read more

I love the bagels at Seize the Bagel, but am very disappointed in their customer service when it comes to delivery through Door Dash. I ordered 2 baker's dozen bagels, and received only one dozen. When I called, the person at Seize the Bagel said that I needed to call Door Dash to get a refund or come pick up the other dozen myself. They refused to contact Door Dash to try and make it right. It was clear from what the person said to her coworker that the mistake was theirs, not Door Dash's. I got the impression that this has happened before when two identical baker's dozen bagels are ordered to be delivered. I am the principal of a Catholic school here in Vancouver, and I have ordered Seize the Bagel bagels for the staff many times this year, but because of the poor customer service, I am planning on finding another place to get bagels. read more

This place is pretty cool. My husband likes it a lot. I think it's pretty decent. After the first time I kind of lost interest. I branched out and tried a lot of different sandwich options and was only impressed with one. The rest were actually not good. And I'm not a picky eater. The customer service is a hit or miss. It feels rushed and unintentional most times but there are a few kind employees. It isn't bad just not my favorite to feel rushed and like I'm in their way. But I'd say the real reason I don't love this place is because their bagels are okay. I love a good bagel but their bagels just aren't amazing and that's what really makes a good sandwich. Two visits in a row they messed up orders and had us waiting over 20+ minutes for their mistakes to be corrected. Our go-to bagel shop. A large variety of bagel 'flavors' and tasty sandwich combinations. We usually get day-olds to take home, I believe it's 6 bagels for $3.75. Service is always super helpful and kind. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that everything is a little over priced. read more

I was at the Heights location today and was treated very rudely by the person behind the counter. She was bossy, curt, and ignored me when I was leaving. I was very insulted. I don't expect to come into a store, hand over my money, and get treated like this. It is unacceptable and good reason for me to not shop there in the future. Made a yelp to review this place. Great food. But a tall thin girl with short hair glasses was very rude and short with me. I asked to sub the cheddar from my breakfast sandwich for Swiss or pepper jack but she couldn't do it. I was even willing to pay extra for the change. Then while waiting for my food by the table they put it at she didn't even make eye contact and just threw my food and walked away. Very unhappy with the customer service I got. Our family's all-time favorite bagel place! We've not actually been at the new location because we moved a couple of years ago and STB moved to its new place in the meantime. Our young son enjoyed the play area of the original and we had frequented that location many, many times over a few years. It had the best bagel sandwiches around and it looks like they still probably do! Not a fan of the soups as they tasted like they were from a mix, but maybe that changed? We weren't there for the soup anyway. The bagels and other dough goodies are fresh made, have a delicious chewy, texture and the coffee is nice and strong. Looking forward to experiencing the new place and getting our bagels on whenever we are back up in the area! read more

The garlic and cream cheese was very good, fresh fruit in my fruit and yogurt, and good coffee. Much better breakfast option than my surrounding choices. I want to love this place and I keep trying... I have gone and they have gotten my order wrong... Last time the gal making my sandwich (who was super nice) put mustard on it when I requested no mustard. She took her gloved hand, scraped the mustard off, wiped it on the garbage can edge, then finished making my sandwich. I pointed that out to the manager, who had my sandwich remade, but offered no apologizes or concessions even after I pointed to the glob of mustard on the rim of the can... Just thanked me for telling him. So today I went to there new location to give them one more try... The chicken sandwich I ordered was inedible. The chicken was... Unseasoned disgusting gristle.
