a neon sign for a restaurant

This market has been very convenient. It's very close by in the neighborhood. Great market for fresh produce, meats, snacks, and things of that nature. The parking is also 50/50 some times there is no space at all while other times there are. However I'm unhappy about the customer service. You are never at ease here, the workers always have some attitude or snarky looks to give which explains the four stars. Furthermore it is the only produce store nearby so we'll just have to rough it out.

Rose and saffron faloodeh open lid and would not give me refund

Guy sold me a tub of icecream, when I got to my house, I noticed that the lid on the ice cream was broken open. So like anybody would, I went back to the store and tried to get a refund (or even just a different tub.) To my surprise, the guy working there says "it's fine it probably just got dropped" so now I'm out $8 and had to throw the icecream away. It was not fine. It was freezer burned and covered with ice inside because it had been exposed to outside air for its entire shelf life. Disgusting train of thought. If that's the way he treats this one item, I don't even want to know what goes on with the vegetables. Terrible product and terrible customer service. I can't believe he would say "it's fine" and not even offer to replace it. Unbelievable.

I'm gonna have to say this would be one of the best Armenian groceries in Glendale. Their produce is always fresh but the store is so small they have to keep most of them in the back fridge so make sure to ask them what you looking for and they will bring it for you. This little market is probably most busy one and trust me when I say most because there are hundreds of markets like this in Glendale. They sell most everything here from bread to deli to middle eastern goodies.

The front desk young woman as cashier was so aggressive, having bad Attitude whenever l called market today regarding wrong price on some veggie that l paid 2 times more, she impolitely spoke about my nationality , didn't accept that cheating wrong price and hanged up on me , it was 1st and last time l was shopping from this market, for sure the owner of market needs to replace wrong people to professional , polite responsive cashiers.( this not fresh tarkhone was among other special veggie 1.19$ for each was paid 3.99 each total 7.98)

The pizza is always top notch--consistently delicious with great flavor every single time. It's the kind of place you can count on, and that consistency really matters. I went to order online and realized there is the common convenience fee tacked on. I decided to order the old fashioned way, go there in person. Then I can browse the store while I wait. It has the usual stuff you'd expect to find in mini markets. But there are hidden gems in the dusty corners like a vintage bottle of Trader Vic's Mai Tai cocktail mix. I didn't check the price but I'm wishing it still had the price tag from 1975 on it. Made me think of the Werewolf of London drinking a Pina Colada and his hair was perfect. Another good find was a dusty bottle of Crème de Menthe. It made me want to look up the recipe for a Grasshopper. I don't know if these old mixer's are for sale or just museum pieces. The sandwiches look pretty good, I'll have to try one another time. Overall the veggie pizza was pretty good, but a bit heavy on the veggies. I generally like fewer toppings, but everyone is different. I suppose in the future I could ask to go light on the toppings. But I'd rather they be generous rather than skimpy.

The kind of spot where everything looks a little unpolished, but that's exactly why it works. The marinated meats are the standout trays packed with seasoned cuts that look ready to go straight onto a grill. Same with the prepared fish, which looked fresh and heavily herbed. It's very much a "trust the process" situation here. Inside, you've got shelves of imported cheeses, spreads, and pantry items, plus a surprisingly solid produce section. Not huge, but fresh and well-priced. Service is efficient more functional than friendly but they'll point you in the right direction if you ask.

There is also a deli counter with prepared foods featuring both cold and hot foods. The quality is similar to that of a restaurant, albeit a bit more oily. They also grill meats onsite, making it very convenient for takeout meals and for picnics. The quality of the produce is quite good, too. Staff is friendly and helpful. The parking lot is small but serviceable because customers don't tend to remain in the store for long, so turnover is fairly regular.

We showed up and the infamous elderly woman with a walker was working the cash register. We asked for a bbq roast beef sandwich with chopped pepperoncini (the menu lists available sides and condiments, this was one). The old woman shook her head no and wagged her finger at us. We tried to push back and request the peppers, and it seemed that she wrote down our specification. We the asked for a Reuben with horseradish added (again, available on the menu). The woman made a disgusted face, wagged her finger in our face again, and told us no. At this point a gentleman from the back let us know that they would be able to accommodate our request, and the woman again appeared to write something down. We ordered a pastrami sandwich, add pickles. Again, finger wag. At this point we were told pickles will come on the side. Ok, understandable. Get me out of here. Ordered two more sandwiches with no specifications because we didn't feel like being berated again. Now the credit card transaction: Woman didn't understand how to handle the transaction, again the gentleman from the back had to explain to her that she can tap the card on the machine. After 20 minutes we received our food with absolutely zero modifications and no explanation. I guess she was faking writing down what we would like. Honestly, the worst part was the sandwiches weren't even great. For such a highly rated place, my entire team was disappointed with our orders. We could've made better at home with a normal amount of effort. Not worth the time, hassle, or attitude. Will not return, and left a bad taste in our mouths for the local businesses. For a town recovering from a disaster, you sure aren't friendly.
