I purchased Armenian food called xash $20 with meet , $18 for with out of meet , Was frosen , after after frozen food melted, 95 % of xash was clear water , they're trying to sell water for $20 , How do you return it? It took back without saying any words I don't recommend hush or barbecue this place with the chef doesn't know anything about them marinating barbecue for making xash, Not everyone capable make this food if you cannot make it don't make it and don't sell it, I know you were very nice. I love raffi's market. It has the best deli meats,cheeses,middle eastern products and pickled vegetables are very tasty. I highly recommended trying this market out and supporting local markets. This is a larger than usual "international" market, which has the requisite assorted fruits and vegetables, deli section, canned foods, etc., and a great selection of "ready to eat" foods, spreads, and sauces. I went last week and got some wonderful "sweet tangerines" which looked more like oranges but were sweet, true to their name. I also got some eggplant spread, cucumber yogurt, and a garlic spread, which has been excellent. The only drawback is that the parking lot is quite small and strangely hard to navigate through, and there isn't a lot of immediate street parking, although there tends to be some across a very busy street. read more

The pastries and the chocolates I get here are very tasty. I purposely come to Burbank to buy these items.

I don't know how my fiancé and I happened upon this place, but I'm so glad that we did. Since we came here looking to cater a party, we only tried the produce and the deli, but oh my God were we impressed! The meat is amazing. The kebabs were some of the best I have ever had. We prepared them ourselves on an open flame grill, and later took the leftovers home and put them on a charcoal grill, but either way was absolutely delicious. Great quality. I was very disappointed with my recent visit. While I was at the meat counter, I saw the employee handling the fresh meat touch and scratch his ears with the same gloves he was using to prepare the meat for display. That is not sanitary and made me very uncomfortable about purchasing anything from that section. Proper hygiene should be taken seriously, especially when handling food. I hope management addresses this immediately to ensure a clean and safe environment for customers. read more

I'm so happy I finally got to try Raffi's Market! So pleased with the butcher and deli counters. The deli carries cold cuts and cheese selection and brands from Russia, Armenian, German, Bulgarian, etc, it's quite impressive. The lady helping me was so helpful making really good recommendations and letting me try things. It is a small grocery store so it does get crowded, but it comes in waves. Many locally made goods around the store, just keep an eye out for the address or made in information. The parking lot is pretty tight so I recommend street parking. I lived in New York for 5 years and never saw a market with this array of Armenian and Eastern European brands and products. Prices are a bit higher but I still think it's fair considering the curation of harder to find imported products, the location, hours of operation, quality of staff, etc. I'm willing to pay a bit more for this particular experience and quality. The customers I encountered seem to be regulars, they are all polite. It is a small store so there's a lot of excuse me and pardon me, I think it's a nice energy that everyone is mindful. I loooove Raffi's as a local Armenian grocery store. I hate the parking that's why it's not a full five stars but, my mom and I have been coming here since they opened and it's the best place for delicious Russian deli meats, their vegetable spreads are abundant, the pickled section is huge and their ready made items are fantastic and affordable too. The cheese section is worth checking out as well and the butcher section is always busy, esp during weekends. The service is amazing, such nice employees and always willing to answer any question whether it's your first time here or you're a seasoned shopper. The seasoned bbq meat is very delicious. I love getting fresh produce from this market, never had a bad experience. They have a lot to imported products from Armenia and other counties. The deli section is large with variety of cold cuts, cheese and more. They also sell fresh salads, dips and appetizers to go in small containers. Lots of spices, jams, olives and canned goods. Overall a great place to shop when looking for high quality produce and food. The only problem is the parking lot. It's soooo small and always packed. Very disappointing. I live right across the street from Rafee's on Tujunga Avenue near the cross-section of Glenoaks Boulevard. I've been there many times to buy very unique foods and specific foods and they've had pomegranates in stock when they weren't in season for example. The food is wonderful however, the staff and individuals there are very disrespectful asking a simple question on the phone resulted in a hangup on me when I simply inquired about packing boxes if they had extra ones they immediately said no and hung up even though I told them I'm a frequent customer and live really close by additionally the hardest part is the traffic and the truck that parks onto Hunga every day. This happens with loading and unloading, and Nierly causes accidents with cars every evening commute they do not seem to have an option to change this, but for the residence that live on Tujunga between fifth and Glenoaks struggle with this daily and it becomes dangerous during traffic hour. I don't know why the Burbank Police Department hasn't addressed this as I've gone to them and tell them about the dangers I've shown them recordings of the videos of collisions that nearly happen as well as the line that forms are the queue of cars waiting to get into the parking lot. This is not safe and I'm just fed up with it and I had to write a review. Rafee needs to figure this out. Good luck. read more

This is a cool little ethic market on Glenoaks Blvd in Burbank. I was a little confused trying to find the entrance because when you walk through the front door, you see a wall of soft drinks. Is a very unimpressive entry. They should figure out a way to make the entrance more inviting. They have a never ending supply of interesting products which I took photos of. Almost everyone working and shopping was wearing strong cologne. . The fish and meat looked fresh but I didn't buy anything. read more

Today 7/9/23 around 3:45-4pm my 2 kids and I went to buy deli & meat we had a small basket we for everything as quick as we could. My kids were well behaved and we got to the first cashier closest to the door and put the basket on top & with the rudest most disgusting manor she told me to put my basket down I emptied my basket and put it down as she asked... she was sooooooo beyond rude to me and my kids after I paid she THREW the receipt at us!!!!! and didn't say a word. I told her she's extremely rude and left, definitely taught my kids never to treat anyone that way. Maybe some meetings with the staff to have a little bit of respect towards others would be great. read more

Since I'm not Armenian, I'm not confident enough to make the meat right myself so this is a HUGE PLUS. Honestly this my favorite local Armenian owned grocery store to do my shopping at. They have the best fresh bread delivered daily and baked. Best meat & deli meat selections. They also have amazing precooked meals in the fridge area by the deli for a quick to go items. It is a small store with a lot of stuff so it can get overwhelming but you'll find everything here! The parking is my only gripe about it as they have limited spaces and this place will get crazy busy. There is street parking available around if you're lucky to find one. read more

My only qualm with this review is that I didn't snap any photos of what I hauled home. They have damn near everything you can think of an Armenian market having and plenty that you wouldn't even think about (or forgot about). My take away this this was sweet sujuk, both grape and apricot. I've grown up on grape, but apricot? Holy schnikes, it was outta this world. Covid precautions had our annual Christmas celebrations take a back seat to safety so I was missing the kidney bean salad I've associated as a Christmastime treat. They sell some, made in house, and it's out of this world. Cheeses, basturma , dolma, sarma, all of it didn't last as long as as I was expecting. Most was devoured the next day. I'll definitely be coming back next time I'm craving food I grew up with. read more
