We had contacted a local company and, while the quote and scope seemed adequate, the plan for condenser placement was not great and I had sticker shock. So I went to YELP and found JL Martin. I am so glad I did! Jared toured the home, and came up with a great plan for a new system and was able to come in around 3K less that the previous company. I appreciated the 'out of box' thinking! This included working with the city permit process as well. The biggest hold up was actually the city acknowledging and passing the plan. Once that happened the JL Martin team scheduled quickly and the install was completed in under a day. The install team was incredibly respectful, explained everything that they were doing, and took great pains to be as unobtrusive as possible. They gave me the guidance on what to expect with the state inspection and city, made sure I understood what the filter requirements would be in the future and the city signed off within 10 days of install. I could not have asked for a better experience! They really work with you and everyone, from installer to office staff to upper management were amazing, responsive and helpful. Kirk was FANTASTIC! Our unit is 20 years old, we have never really had regular maintenance on it. He showed up super early (they asked if that was okay, and YES thank you). He explained all they do with the "family plan" so we signed up. I am one of those that needs to be reminded of scheduled upkeep so this is perfect. He gave us the estimate before he started and I asked for a very rough estimate of a new unit (having no idea) so we decided to go with repair and hope for the best. The repair wasn't cheap but considering all the work that needed to be done as well as it being an older unit, I feel it was a very fair price. I think we did have the best with Kirk. He was able to repair our unit and give it some much needed TLC for our AC unit and furnace. He even installed our pre-purchased thermostat! Kirk was polite and considerate. He took time to answer all of our questions and ensured us that we could reach out with any questions, I believe him.
