My review was reported to Yelp citing "conflict of interest ". And that if I don't remove it , it will be removed by Yelp support. I am reviewing this company honestly. A customer service staff even contacted me via telephone yesterday. She was very pleasant to talk to and she heard my concerns. Patricia Ponce did not want to address the damage the crew did to our wallpaper even when I asked to escalate to someone higher than her, which she denied. The SGIP rebate that they promised they will take care of never happened. We lost around $2k in rebates. Now please tell me if this is "conflict of interest ".

    New Roof and Solar

My experience with Semper Solaris was excellent. The Crew was very personable and willing to answer any questions I had throughout the project. Both Paul and Christian kept me informed of what was happening each step along the way. They both were very responsive whenever I reached out to them. My overall experience was a good one!!!

Ridiculous how they treat their veterans!

Do not sign up for solar with Semper Solaris they do not follow through with customer service for Veterans! We have been fighting with them since Sept when our monitoring system SunPower stopped working and according to sunpower our equipment is out of date but because Sunpower is filling bankruptcy Semper Solaris won't service us! And according to Edison our system hasn't been working for the last 3 months, because of that we now have a $900yr end bill! Smh!

This proves they have done nothing and will blame solar edge

I've installed two systems with Semper Solaris. The first system was amazing the second system sucks. They have definitely gotten worse over time. I've had nothing but problems with my system from panels not working to batteries constantly charging and now the inverter has gone out and it's been 6 months of back and worth. They will blame solar edge equipment to prolong their BS the will blame Edison for not having to use the extra electricity used. I've had 3 years of hell including this one where my electricity bill pay back has been $3,765, $1,987 and now we are up to $1,748 already this year a long with our payment of $560 a month. They still haven't fixed my system so I'm having to use another company today to fix it which is going to cost an additional $2,000. Don't use this company ever they are terrible and will not do what their commercial states. The use the vet card to get your business but then leave you hanging in the end and will blame other companies. They will post after I send this saying things like we are so sorry for your inconvenience. But in the end I have the email and text messages and I'm looking for the best lawyer possible. Please please don't use this company they have turned into a bunch of money hungry individuals.

Came out and gave me quote for a Tesla powerwall $13,250 for one (not enough close to what I need for my power consumption ) I live in a fire zone however they never mentioned anything about the SGIP rebate that has hundreds of millions available for battery backup. This is such a failure I believe. I was able to get 3 Tesla powerwalls ($40,000) for free with the SGIP rebate and I added $20,00 of solar from another company. I'm not sure why Semper Solaris failed to mention this but they missed out on over $60,000

We had two Tesla Power Walls installed from Semper Solaris and can't be any happier. This group is professional and delivered everything promised. Our system installation was $33k however with the help from Semper Solaris we received a $26,400 rebate from SCE after it was all said and done. I would love to work with this group again if we have opportunity. Thank you Steve

Hi had great experience with the semper Solaris crew, very professional and down to earth very great people skills. They work together they were great never saw them standing do nothing always working Very impressed. I've been in the hospitality industry for over 30 years. Water damage from the roof from a leak.

Maybe you will actually return our calls after you see this review. We have tried multiple times to reach someone about this issues we are having with our brand new roof that was installed by you. No one picks up the phone, no one returns emails, no one calls back when messages are left. I would hate to go the legal route but I will if I have to. Our roof and solar system are over a year old and now we are dealing with this, which will surely turn to mold and rot and no one will return calls.

UniverCity Solar has visited my home on two separate occasions over the past several years to address a roof leak that developed after the installation of their solar system. During those visits, their technicians identified cracked roof tiles as the cause of the leak, repaired those tiles, and sealed the affected areas. Despite these repairs, the roof leak continued. In January 2023, I communicated directly with Aaron, a representative of UniverCity Solar, who acknowledged the damage and promised that the company would repair the interior damage caused by the leak, including repainting the roof area stained by water intrusion. Aaron repeatedly delayed this work, citing a lack of available personnel, but reassured me multiple times that the repairs would be completed. At one point, he even stated that he intended to hire a professional painter to perform the work. Trusting these assurances, I waited in good faith for over a year, during which time no repairs were made. In late 2026, heavy rains resumed and caused additional damage, including deterioration to the drywall and window sill in my dining room--the same room originally affected by the roof leak. On December 3, 2026, UniverCity Solar sent Adam to inspect the roof. At that time, they claimed to have discovered damage to a board outside the solar panel areaand abruptly stated that they were no longer responsible for any repairs. This sudden reversal is unacceptable. Regardless of any newly identified issues, UniverCity Solar previously diagnosed the leak twice as being caused by cracked roof tiles, which they stated were responsible. I relied on their expertise and professional assessment. If their current claim is that the cracked tiles were not the cause, then the company is still responsible for misdiagnosing the issue on multiple occasions, which directly resulted in delayed corrective action and increased damage. Due to the age of the damage and the prolonged delays caused by UniverCity Solar, I am now unable to file a homeowners insurance claim, as the issue is no longer considered new damage. Their failure to correctly diagnose and permanently resolve the problem has directly hindered my ability to seek insurance coverage, resulting in financial harm. Additionally, I am deeply disappointed to learn that Tim, the salesperson who sold me UniverCity Solar's services, misrepresented the company's roofing credentials. I was told that UniverCity Solar carried a full roofing license, only to be informed later by Aaron that they carry only a limited roofing license. This discrepancy further undermines my trust in the company. I am especially disheartened by this treatment given that I have provided over three referrals to UniverCity Solar, all of whom became paying customers. This level of neglect and refusal to honor written and texted commitments--copies of which I possess--is unacceptable and does not reflect the service that was promised to me. At this point, I am unsatisfied and disappointed with UniverCity Solar's conduct and believe their actions constitute negligence and potential malpractice. I am requesting that UniverCity Solar be held accountable for: * Honoring their written and verbal commitments * Repairing the interior and exterior damage caused by the roof leak * Addressing the ongoing water intrusion issue in full I processed additional complaints to the Federal Trade Commission report number 195345513 and the Better Business Bureau under the Pacific Southwest, Central & Inland California division.

Will update when I hear back. Would not recommend SolarMax at this point until they improve their customer service. Look into other companies and their service reviews since you will most likely have to contact them multiple times with questions about the system/billing. They were very prompt and quick with reaching out and getting back to us when they were trying to sell us solar. However, now that we have been customers for years and our sales rep left, it takes multiple calls to even get through to customer service and then multiple follow up calls after since they have to email other departments to get an answer and do not call back. It seems like they are short staffed and for a big company like this should invest in more staff for customer service. That way they can provide the same experience we received in the beginning. It's been almost a month after I initially contacted them and my question still has not been answered. Seems like there is only one customer service rep and she definitely needs help.

After inspecting the roof, I discovered a very concerning issue. When SolarMax installed the solar panels, they hired a roofing company to modify the roof beforehand. That roofing work was never properly completed, leaving a large section of the roof without shingles and exposing bare wood. As a result, there are now multiple areas of our home showing signs of water intrusion and possible mold. I immediately contacted SolarMax and informed them that this was an urgent matter requiring prompt attention. More than 24 hours have passed, and I have not received a response. I was told they would reach out to the roofing company they used, but there has been no follow-up. What I do not understand is how SolarMax could proceed with installing the solar panels, mark the job as completed, and leave our home with such a significant roofing defect. I am extremely concerned about the potential extent of the damage to our home, as well as the possible health implications for my family. I have never had allergies in the past, yet I began experiencing them shortly after the panels were installed, which raises serious concerns about mold exposure. I am hopeful that SolarMax will take responsibility for this issue and fully address both the roofing defect and any resulting damage to our home. However, I am very disappointed by the lack of communication and urgency shown so far.

I remember standing outside one night listening to my neighbor's generator roar to life again. It sounded like a chainsaw tearing through the quiet. Across the street, friends with solar and batteries had their lights on. Their kids were inside watching TV. Life looked normal. Meanwhile, I was packing up my family to leave our home. Rising electricity rates, AI data centers consuming massive amounts of power, and talk of double digit rate increases made going solar the right thing to do. I researched heavily. Built a spreadsheet. Interviewed over a dozen companies. Got bids through Energy Sage, cold called installers, and asked around for referrals. I wasn't looking for a sales pitch. I was looking for people I could trust with my home and my family's security. Infinity Solar felt different from the start. I didn't have to deal with brokers or middlemen to jack up prices. They are family owned, in business over 25 years, BBB A+ rated, and 5 stars on Yelp. Tim, the owner is a C10 licensed contractor, sets the tone for the entire company. His pride and commitment to doing things right shows up in every person on his team. Sara, our project manager, kept everything organized with clear, proactive communication. Blake handled the maze of permitting. If you've dealt with solar permitting in California you know what a mess it is. State, county, city, and fire department all with their own rules. Blake stayed on top of all of it so I didn't have to. Joel made sure the job site ran smoothly. The crew deserves real recognition: electricians Adrian, Ivan, Salvador, and Christian; roof lead Arni; installers Jose, Gabriel, Kieren, Israel, Erik, and Robert; and Deyvis helping with inspection. They showed up on time, worked hard, kept everything clean, and answered my endless questions without ever making me feel like I was in the way. Construction always has bumps. Permits get revised, inspectors want changes. What mattered was how Infinity handled it. Calmly, professionally, and without disappearing. Tim must be a good boss and take care of his people because this is a crew of highly skilled workers who take real pride in what they do. The day the system went live felt like a turning point. Our first outage was December 23rd while setting up for a Christmas party. Power was out over eight hours. The lights never flickered. I only knew because the app alerted me. Tim included a Solar Insure 30 year warranty covering panels, microinverters, wiring, and roof penetrations, including labor. It's backed by an A+ Superior rated third party insurer and is transferable if I sell my home. An installer's warranty is useless if they go out of business, so this gives real peace of mind. Because I verify everything, I called Solar Insure, Enphase, FranklinWH, and REC directly to confirm Infinity is a Premium or Platinum installer with each. They are. I'll break even in 8 years at current rates, sooner when rates keep climbing, and you know they will. But more than savings, it's peace of mind. When the grid goes down, our house doesn't. Infinity Solar gave our family back a sense of stability. I'm grateful we chose them.

After reviewing multiple solar offers, I landed on Infinity Solar. They were not the least expensive, but the quality of the sales experience gave me the confidence that they were the installer to choose. Sales I walked into my solar journey knowing exactly what I wanted: Enphase ecosystem with REC panels, micro inverters, 6C combiner and 10C batteries. Walter did a great job of answering my questions, putting together a proposal and being patient while I made my decision. The proposal was detailed and concise with all the information I needed. Design Once the decision was made in early August, a final design was made. Tim and his crew came out and we discussed options for panel setup, battery placement and connections to the combiner and the new main panel. A detailed design plan was created and sent for my approval. After a couple of changes, we were ready for City Permitting in early September. This is where things are out of everyone's hands, so please be warned that permitting can take a lot of time, in my case, 2 months. The team kept on top of project and delt with any questions from the city. Install In mid November (that's 2 months for people keeping track at home), install began. The team arrived on time that morning and began work. I walked through with the team the placement of all the equipment, the conduit runs in the attic and other miscellaneous items. All the guys were professional, courteous and efficient. The solar and battery equipment was all installed in one day. The following week, technicians came out and performed my main panel upgrade. The job they did was excellent. All the wiring in the panel was clean and neat. The stucco repair was great; paint matching where you can't tell the difference. The City came out and performed their inspection and passed it as a final. The inspected noted how clean the install was. Commissioning and PTO The Meter Collar and PTO was applied for, and Edison came out withing the week (surprise) to install the collar. Went smooth and the Edison tech was also commenting on how well the team prepared the site. In the last couple of days, an Infinity Tech came out and commissioned the system. After a few hiccups, we got it all going. Final remarks One thing that I would say in the slight negative is the design process. Any changes, whether they be mistakes or owner changes, took a long time, adding delay to get to permitting. Now his might be related to the rush of solar installs before the end of 2025, but it was something that added to the anxiety of getting the job done. Now that all being said, I want to thank everyone at Infinity Solar for all their efforts in getting my system installed before the end of the year. A great sales experience from Walter To Blake, Sara and Vanessa, thank you for putting up with all my incessant emails on status of the project To the installation team for doing a great job of putting my system together. Adrian for answering all my questions while installing my panel and to Deyvis for spending the time to get the system commissioned. Tim, you have a great team of people and should be proud. I have more projects in the future and I will certainly call on Infinity Solar.
