One star is generous for this company. We had them come out to talk with us about their product. We are in the middle of refinancing our home so we could not move forward with signing a contract or installation. However, we gave a hold check to guarantee, if we decided to go with the company, a Tesla battery pack. We were PROMISED the check would never be cashed since it was just a hold. We were called multiple times by Semper Solaris about what our decision was and we continuously told them we were still waiting on the refi and would be in contact with the company if we decide to move forward. At one point we received a phone call that an inspector was coming over to look at the roof for installation and we had to tell them we were still refinancing our home and couldn't do anything. After more calls, we told them to destroy the hold check and we would contact them once the refi was completed. We thought we were done. Fast forward to Friday, October 25th and this company illegally cashed the $1000 hold check. At no point did we sign a contract with them. We told the company many times that we were not going to sign a contract with them. They had no legal right to cash the check. Now I'm dealing with my credit being in jeopardy over a bounced check while we're refinancing our home. Buyer beware with this scam of a company. We will tell anyone anywhere to avoid this solar company. read more

I was very excited to get solar on my home. Just the savings alone was going to have such a big impact on my family's budget, so we wouldn't be concerned about those pesky electric bills. My husband and I had talked to a few solar companies, but it wasn't until we had an educated consultation from Semper Solaris that we decided to make the investment. After our initial meeting, then the calls with the corporate office to finalize the plans, to the final installation we didn't have a single issue. Changing my review back to 5-stars because of the support I received from Rachel at Semper Solaris Corporate after my previous review update due to lack of support. Rachel went above and beyond and was amazing to work with to get my monitoring problem resolved. She contacted me as soon as they opened for business on the first business day after updating my review, got the ball rolling to get a service call scheduled, and provided multiple follow-up calls to make sure appointments were kept and the issue resolved. The first technician didn't have the one piece of required equipment to fix the problem, but was able to get most of the work accomplished that the system needed. Rachel dove into figuring out what equipment he was missing, why he didn't have it, and got a new technician scheduled for a service call, making sure he had the needed equipment. Both field technicians were very professional and provided an excellent level of service to the best of their ability to provide. I purchased my solar system through semper Solaris cents they were veteran owned and they supposedly had the best panels in the market. I called and spoke with them after the install and addressed my concerns about not getting what they told me I needed to have 110% utility usage. I am lucky to be getting maybe 90% usage and I still have a bill, I was not supposed to have a bill and they told me wait one year to see how the panel holds up. I'm coming up on two years now and my bill seems to get higher and higher with Edison. I make sure I have my panels cleaned regularly so there is no reason to not get the max usage.They told me if they needed to add an extra panel they would. But no panel read more

Been getting the run around for 3 years now and still they have not corrected the issue with the micro inverters. They keep referring us back to Sun Power and Sun Power sends us back to Semper. Took exactly 8 weeks from consultation appt to PTO (permission to operate) from SCE...just as promised! They hand hold you through the entire process and take care of all the paperwork. Installers were wonderful and respectful. They worked in 108 degree weather on the roof for 2 days without any complaints! Poor guys! Passed city and fire inspection without any glitches. Great communication at every step...via email and over the phone. The app that they set up for you to monitor your solar production is pretty spiffy too! Seamless and professional. WORST company we have ever worked with!! Horrible communication. We have been dealing with this company for a year and just now have operable solar panels. The past 3mo we have been paying for a solar system (that wasn't even running) and our FULL electric bill. Semper Solaris won't return our phone calls, emails, or texts. The only communication we have now is that they want to pickup their $17,000 check. They told us we would have multiple rebates and we haven't received A SINGLE ONE! Now we are stuck with a huge solar loan. I am a disabled veteran and it's shameful the way they do business. I used this company for a roof repair in 2020, the guy that came out did a good job and quickly took care of the repair. I referred them to a friend that didn't have much good to say about them as I did, figured they just had a bad experience. I recently called and made an appointment for another repair at a different home, waited for an hour passed the appointment time they were scheduled to be here, no one showed up so I called the office and funny how the gentleman that I spoke to found my appointment and said he need to transfer me to another division ok, well the gal I was transferred to was not very bright, I had to explain multiple times (5x) what the issue was and gave her my address six times thinking she would write it down one of the first four times I told her. Long story short they wanted to reschedule for another week out! Nope never again will I use or recommend this company! read more

This company came highly recommended to me and at first and I was highly impressed. The installation job was excellent, specially because the installer of the year worked on my project. My problem with this company was the sales guy, Kevin. He lied about several things which completely changed my opinion on this company. When I tried to refi my house, I had a lien on my property. He lied about the lien and he lied about my year 1 production. My system did not produce what he promised. When I called him to questioned him about this matter, he simply said that he didn't recall that part of our conversation. I reach out to Semper about the matter and they indicated that their contract included a 10% minus production claws to protect them. Semper Solaris, what can I say. AWSOME AWESOME AWESOME experience from the beginning of the project to the end. Hans our salesman was great. He never pushed us and explained everything to us and was very polite and professional. Throughout the whole project he was available when we had questions or concerns. The crew that came in to do the install was very very professional and explained each step they were doing as they were going along. Osacar, the lead man and owner I believe made everything was done right and in a safe manner. After everything was was approved to turn on a tech person (Alex) came in to set up the WiFi to monitor the system and explained how we can do the same. We were up and running a month ahead of schedule. We went from having a triple digit bill to having our first bill of only $18 plus energy cost which was explained in great detail how that works so we don't get hit with a big payment from Edison at the end of the year. This morning we had David Stinnett of Semper Solaris come out to our home to fix our system (a system that was installed by a different company). David arrived early, then waited until our appointment time to come to the door. He arrived with a mask on and was professional and polite. He requested to walk around outside instead of coming through the house, which I appreciated. David was incredibly knowledgeable and actually taught me how to use our system (I had no idea but he was very patient!). He had an answer to everything! After looking at what we had, he offered additional services (in a non-pressure manner) and got me actually thinking about adding a Tesla backup panel. In January my husband and I decided it was time for us to get solar. We did a lot of research on different companies and the panels. We had a few companies come out for estimates. We ended up going with Semper Solaris because they offer the best panels hands down, they use sun power panels which are the best on the market. Tanya was the sales rep who came to talk to us, she was VERY professional, she was able to answer every question I asked, she also brought a sample mini panel to show us why sun power panels were the way to go. So we signed up Jan 8th, next Anthony was assigned to us to help with getting the panel layout picked out and submitting our permit to the city to get the plans approved,this was so easy and he was also very helpful. We are lucky because our city had approved the plans in about 6 business days which was amazing!! Then we had Sarine call to set up installation which was set for 2 days after we found out we got approved for the permit. We were up and running in 32 days which was amazing (including getting our permission to operate from Edison) every step of the way the people we were in contact with were very professional and polite. The team who was doing the install, Henry was the person who ran the wiring and got the box on the side of the house, he did a great job. No complaints from us. We are so please with our install and having solar is great! 100% recommend this company. I also want to add, it has rained 10 times since we have had our install with no leaks yay! read more

This company is horrible. I'm paying over 40k for a roof on a 2105 sq home. Come to find out they out source there roofing projects. The first crew that came out to strip the roof. Do a horrible job and covered my heater that's on the roof fourcing all the drangers gasses to go into the house. They also broke my water heater vent pipe cause the carbon monoxide into the house almost killing us. We were without hot water and gas for 3days. The next subcontractor (serria roofing) they sent over to do the wood work. Never show up on time did a shitty work. Broke my lighting, installed broke facia boards and try to cover it up with wood putty. They tried leaving Dry rot wood. They even did their cutting of the replacement plywood on top of the roof causing cut makers on my existing plywood that wasn't damaged and now is. The one contact we did have with a person from Simple Solaris. Chris Micthell. Never answer his phone and only show up once on the project. This was the night we had to so stay at hotel because gas company shut off the gas and it wasn't safe. The supervisor from the san diego office lailua. Keep saying they are sorry and they will fix it but they sends another subcontractor. They quality of the work is horrible. They would cut out small pieces instead of full sheet to try to save money and cut covers. They even locked them self out of there truck and ask me to borrow my car to go to home depot!! Really borrow my car!! Here it is a few days before Christmas and they now say they have to just cover it again in plastic. Through the process no labor workers have been direct from Simple Solaris. If I wanted a cheap no name contractor at does crampy work. I would have paid 20k for my roof instead of over 40k we were told that this company is for the veteran and veteran owned.
