In conducting significant research into home health care agencies in the Irvine/Tustin area, I soon noticed Agape had multiple positive reviews. After giving Agape a call, Eva quickly responded back and she and Ed made themselves available to meet with me and my family. From the get go, they have been professional, responsive, and have worked with our schedule in order to provide quality care for my father. Furthermore, Llene has been such a blessing in our lives and has treated my father like her own father and we couldn't be more pleased. We are immensely grateful for this type of care and recommend you reach out to Agape Home Care should you need assistance for your loved one.

In our scramble to find a solution for her care while she regained her independence, I very luckily came across Agape. Within hours of my leaving a message, Eva and Eddie made themselves available to come meet us in person, and put together a care plan in which we had the utmost confidence. Every care giver from their team has been compassionate, reliable, and professional, and communication absolutely seamless when we've had questions or requested adjustments. My mom and I both couldn't be any more grateful, and would recommend Agape Home Care in a heartbeat to anyone in need of extra support.

I've had the privilege of working closely with Odette, the Hospice liaison, for Silverado Hospice…read morefor over 5 years. We are so grateful for the partnership. I have complete confidence in how she supports and cares for our clients when hospice is needed.. She is dedicated, thoughtful, and genuinely committed to offering the very best service. Her team is compassionate, responsive, and consistently professional in the way they care for families during such an important time. We confidently recommend Silverado to our home care families and continue to receive wonderful feedback. We're thankful to work alongside a team we deeply trust in our community.

I was committed to not placing my husband in a senior care facility. I brought him home where I…read morecould insure he received loving and gentle care from me and family members. This action would not have been possible without the assistance of Silverado Hospice. Our nurse Didi and Technician Martin were fabulous and was even willing to teach me how to handle all aspects of his care on the days they were not scheduled to see us. The triage nurse was available 24/7 in the event of an emergency or condition causing concern (ie; sudden high temperature, intolerance of prescribed medications, etc). Our Triage nurse, Ashley, whom I called fairly often, was very responsive and provided intelligent medical advice with laywoman terminology that I was able to follow. If the situation required, Ashley would not hesitate to send a nurse out after hours to follow-up with family caregivers to insure the patient was medically stable and take further action if the patient wasn't stable. For those that rated Silverado with less than five stars, I can only offer they had higher expectations and didn't realize they needed to educate themselves of the fact they were going to have to take an active role in their loved one's care and should have considered, instead of hospice, a senior care facility as it is not the protocol of hospice to be on sight 24/7. Doctor's visits were limited but considering the many patients on the Silverado Rolls understandable, but they did make themselves available to their nurses via phone to provide guidance and authorize prescription medications, etc. My husband passed way at the end of May of this year. Silverado Chaplain's and Emotional Support Staff have been in contact frequently to insure that I have all the support needed. While I'm still trying to cope on my own, knowing that they are there and can be here with me with only a quick call is comforting. With Silverado Hospice, I was gifted a year and a half that I wouldn't have had otherwise and I just can't put a price of the extreme value that time afforded me. During our lives we had fallen in love many times. Always with the same person. Thank you Silverado Hospice for another year and a half with my love.

Compassionate Care Hospice lives up to its name. They…read moreprovided compassionate care to my dad his final two months. Every team member demonstrated this compassion; from the bathing aid (Ronnie), nurse and case worker (Anastasia), social worker (Sandie), Admissions Director (Gaza), to the Bereavement Coordinator (Nathan). Please forgive me for other team members that I didn't have the honor of meeting in person but I thank you as well. This team constantly updated me on my dad's condition and made sure I was well informed as to what to expect next. I don't know how the owner (Joey) accomplished such a feat of finding an entire team with compassion, but I am thankful that he did. We never had a need for supplies or equipment, and when a team member made a suggestion for different supplies or equipment it was immediately executed. Thank you Joey and your team for going above and beyond the "standard of care".

Update (April 2026)…read more Compassionate Care Hospice's response illustrates their unprofessionalism and willingness to provide dishonest information. Below are OFFICIAL findings directly from the FINAL report by the California Department of Public Health (Complaint Number 2641478), which indicated that Compassionate Care was being investigated based on multiple serious complaints within a short period of time -- yet it continues to misrepresent the findings by the Department of Public Health. If they spent as much time combating negative reviews by their customers and fabricating disinformation as they do on patient care, maybe they wouldn't have so many one-star reviews to begin with. "The initial plan of care, updated plans of care, initial assessment, comprehensive assessment, updated comprehensive assessments and clinical notes - This STANDARD is NOT MET as evidenced by: Based on record review and staff interviews, the hospice failed to ensure completion of clinical record to reflect the family member's concern regarding a change in the patient's condition. This failure created the potential for not having the patient's current condition to provide necessary care and services for the patients. " "Signed copies of the notice of patient rights in accordance with Section 418.52 and election statement in accordance with Section 418.24 - This STANDARD is NOT MET as evidenced by: Based on staff interview and record review, the hospice failed to ensure the written addendum showing diagnoses and non-covered items was completed with the actual date completed/provided to the patient/family member... This failure had the potential for not having an accurate information on the patient's clinical record." Read the above for yourself and see if you believe the official report found no deficiencies as asserted by Compassionate Care. There is a clear lack of ethics and humanity toward their patients. A simple phone call or email to the grieving family with an apology would have been a good start, and yet they are incapable of admitting their shortcomings and chose to fabricate results of the findings. I urge anyone considering Compassionate Care to contact the California Department of Public Health regarding the complaints and think hard about whether you would want this organization to care for your family member during their last moments.

We had two reasons for home health after the hospital - to get a blood draw and monitor blood pressure. After an exhausting stay at the hospital, she shows up at our house to do a blood draw on my mom. She doesn't use alcohol pads, doesn't wash her hands, can't get the blood vessel and then tries to reuse the same needle. I had to ask her to go get alcohol pads which she got from her car. I had to ask her to get a new needle. This is all completely dangerous and unsanitary procedure. She never got the blood even after three tries. I had a mobile company come out the next morning and he easily got the blood on the first try. She also didn't bring a blood pressure cuff. What type of home nurse doesn't have a blood pressure cuff? But it was more than that - her attitude was rude, bossy and antagonistic. Home nursing is supposed to be a help to the family. She came In with tons of judgment and said several rude things. I would say she has been one of the most traumatic experiences we have had with this illness and I regret letting her into our house. None of our doctors have brought up Hospice - a concept as a physician I fully support and embrace - but she launches into a speech on how my mom needs hospice as she has the butterfly needle in my mom's arm. She knows nothing about the medical history and saw a five min snapshot. She kept insisting that my mom was dehydrated, when she just spent six days getting iv fluids in the hospital and was fluid overloaded. But she doesn't have the medical knowledge to understand what she is seeing. It is sad to me that this type of incompetent nurse is launched on people who are needing care at home, many of them elderly. I did complain to the owner of the home care agency . She was very professional, responsive and kind but the interaction itself had already really hurt us.
