Stopped by on my lunch break and casually ordered a birria crunch wrap and a drink. My coworker ordered the birria fries. Everything was massive! The portions were bigger than expected and the food was delicious. the wrap was toasty and flaky it comes with a cheese crust/skirt so you know it was perfect freshly made. If you're into anything birria...this is the place to go to! Tried the vampiro...quesabirria and the rice and beans with birria..all were amazing but the star of any Mexican dish is the salsa. Their salsa actually has some kick so it made all of the food amazing. Their rice and beans are a bit runny or watery but I thought everything was delicious especially while eating it with their home made tortillas. They were super generous with their salsa and limes so respect to them not being so cheap. Glad we chose this place to have dinner...another plus is they are on grubhub so we got it delivered to our hotel! read more

I used them for a party that I was hosting and OMG the best birria ever!! Weeks in advance I had placed the order for a 12pm pick up on a Sunday and was a little bothered that I still had to wait 20-30 mins for the food. Besides the usual Tacos, Burritos and Quesadillas.. they have Birria Nachos, Birria Ramen, A Birria Plate with rice, beans and Tortillas .. but they Also have Birria Eggrolls and their Awesome Birria Crunch Wrap. There's plenty of Parking, The Customer Service is a straight 5. the birria is a little too salty but really good so I give it a 4.5. the tables are constantly being cleaned. New-ish birria spot in Downey trying to compete with Teddys. Tried a bit of everything, food is solid, birria is good, consome(beef broth) i felt needs more simmmering or more spices. A little more kick imo. But what gave me give a solid 4 stars is the variety. Menu is bigger than Teddys. The birria fries were fire, could have used more queso fresco or shredded not just the watery nacho cheese. Other than that, very tasty. Place is clean, pretty open. First time at this restaurant. It's hidden in the corner of a strip mall. The interior was clean and neat. The food was delicious and freshly made. Love the unique variety of birria entrees! (Birria pizza!? Whoa.) The birria nachos are delicious! The birria fries need a little work; the consume makes the nacho cheese very thin and runny. I wish the birria had a little more pizzazz. It's very juicy and it does have flavor, but I feel like the consume could use a more dynamic flavor profile; just a personal opinion. The service is wonderful. Very polite employees! The place is small, but still plenty of room to eat comfortably. Very clean restaurant! Humble suggestion: 1. Maybe have second, milder option for the brined onions; wowzers, they are soooo spicy! Same thing for the salsa; it would be nice to have a second milder option. You sit down and order from the register. The place was very clean. Plenty of parking available. I ordered a shrimp taco and consome. The consome was honestly delicious. I will definitely come back for the consome. Came back Sunday morning. I ordered a Torta, Taco Dorado and CONSOME Quickly realized I ordered the wrong thing the first time. The Birria Torta was delicious. It comes with avocado, lettuce, cheese and beans. 10/10 The taco dorado crispy and definitely recommend putting the red salsa they have. Perfect hint of spice. Of course the Consome. My favorite so far. The consome is very flavorful. NOTE : the shopping center that it's located in has plenty of parking. However, it's right in the corner. Busy on $1 taco Tuesday, but service is usually fast. Don't skip out on adding beans to your birria taco and some hot sauce! Easy parking but the actual restaurant is easy to miss, it is located in the center corner of the shopping center. Their sign unlike the rest is under the roof while all the other businesses have their signs on the top of their location. We missed it and drove off then back again until we finally noticed the sign. Small restaurant, Luckily we arrived while there wasn't a lot of people and were able to get a table to sit and eat right away, all menu prices are around $15 and under. **4.5 stars** The place might be hard to miss because it is tucked into a corner of a strip plaza. Came in on a Saturday night and there were plenty of tables available. Seems like a lot of customers come in for pick-up/to-go orders and the line went close to the door at some points. You order at the counter, choose your table, load up from the salsa bar, and when your food is ready they will bring it out for you. The people working the counter were very helpful and friendly. The salsa bar was also being cleaned regularly and restocked the whole time we were there. As it was our first time here, we ordered a variety of birria menu items: tacos dorados, queso tacos, birria ramen, and a birria California burrito. Notable mentions were the tacos and the burrito. Tacos dorados were perfectly crisp and so good dipping into the consomé. The queso tacos (filled with cheese) were great as well for those who like something similar to a quesadilla. The burrito was filled with birria, fries, cheese, avocado, beans, and sour cream - it was HUGE!! The birria meat was flavorful and soft, they know what they're doing! I would pass on the nachos next time. The chips were soggy at the bottom because it seemed like they poured some consomé over it and it started to pool. Was pretty standard - just chips, cheese, beans, meat, sour cream, and avocado. The ramen (packaged dry ramen noodles cooked with the consomé) was good but not sure if we'd order again. read more

I kindly asked if a small size consomé was complementary and she said no. I was a little perplex since I don't need a 12oz consomé cup for two tacos. I have to say I was very disappointed. Food was okay. Atmosphere was good. Service was okay. Charged for something I didn't order, when wanting to change it to what I ordered they wanted me to pay for it. They could have simply changed it to what I ordered instead and gave me the difference, since what they charge me for was $3 more.
