Great go to place for me when I'm in the mood for Mexican food. I work nearby and like that they have chilaquiles on the menu. They do them right, no glorified nachos. It's extremely hard to find legit chilaquiles anywhere outside of Mexico so I'll take these any day.. I always order them with green tomatillo salsa and chicken and topped with a couple of eggs, either overeasy or scrambled. They strive to do right by this classic traditional Mexican dish and I applaud them for it. Their chips and red salsa is second to none, probably the best in the area. I came here after my workout, not the best idea but I was just in the mood for good food (such a waste of cardio:(). This place rocked my socks when I didn't even want it to. This place is just Foodie heaven. WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO SAY?! Everything is so good, on point, and straight up delicious for its low price. Guacamole is awesome and I definitely recommend Uriel's Favorite Burrito or Pork Tomales to anyone who declares themselves a foodie. Came here for lunch with my colleague and her daughter (who was visiting from out of town). The place was absolutely packed! After we were seated, we were given a complimentary bowl of salsa with a basket of chips. Chips tasted fresh as did the salsa. For lunch, i got a grilled chicken salad with Mango dressing. The chicken was a great amount for the size of the salad. The salad lacked..salad! there wasn't any tomatoes (as the menu originally stated), just lettuce and a few slices of carrots. The mango dressing that I received was quite tasty. I also ordered a side of Jalapeno Peppers to add to the salad, and that added the right kick to it. Overall, the rest of the group really enjoyed the food, and this looked like a great place to visit after work (Margaritas looked very nice)... Looking forward to trying this again read more

Good food but very loud restaurant with service issues. Last visit our server fired us and decided he didn't want to wait on our party. Didn't inform anyone just left us. Another server finally jumped in and recovered nicely but we were in a lurch fir about 15 minutes. It's a high volume joint that clicks on all cylinders when they are busy. Tacos are best in town as is beer steamed pork burritos and lunch combos. read more

Went to the one next to Kroger for super. Was not the first experience I was expecting from all the reviews and recommendations. Me and a friend went my Texas nachos were brought out wrong and fixed but my friends shedded chicken taco salad had onions in it that was not stated on the menu and they stated they could not fix it even tho I said she could not eat it with them in it. And they refused to take it off the bill. The waitress was very rude. They were busy but I have worked in the restaurant business for years and I understand it gets frustrating when super busy but you should never be rude to a customer. I couldn't even talk to the manager because my waitress kept avoiding our table. I had to get another waitress to bring me a cup to take my drink and pay up front. Ended not even eating anything and leaving. Not sure if I will even go back. read more

Loved the food and so many choices of margaritas!! Wonderful place, wish I lived a little closer to it. It does get busy on the weekends and Mother's Day I know was very busy. But the wait time matched what the quoted us, and it wasn't that bad. It is somewhat loud inside but I think a lot of Mexican restaurants are. It's ok- had lunch Texas fajitas, and a chile relleno, both mediocre. The fajitas were very salty and over cooked, burnt and hard to chew. Relleno was ok, but somewhat bland and forgettable. Salsa was pretty good though, and of course the chips are included. Chips were tasty and warm, mostly unbroken. Interior is nice albeit a little loud and that at 4pm when it wasn't busy. This is due to open floor concept and hard surface everywhere. It's ok interior and seems clean. Service was attentive and pleasant. It's a solid 3 stars imo. read more

My first time eating here was at lunch with a friend who had eaten here before. It was great and I mentioned it to my husband. Later that week my husband and I went to SF for supper. He loved it and tells everyone it's the best Mexican restaurant around. We've gone one other time since then and our family met there for Father's Day lunch. I called and placed a 5pm reservation Sunday around 3:30pm for 7 people. The woman on the other end of the phone confirmed the reservation. We showed up at 5pm and at that point, we were told they don't do reservations on weekends, and that the current wait time was 25 minutes. I was upset at the fact that we were told we had a reservation set, and then we show up and it's like they never heard of us, let alone the fact they had no table ready for us. So, the hostess asked me what number I called, and I hit redial on my phone to show her the number. This is when she flat out lied to my face and said I called the wrong number and it was for some other restaurant on Atlanta Highway. I gave her the benefit of the doubt since someone else had looked up the number and provided it to me, but when I did a Google search for the number in my phone... guess who popped up? Senior Fiesta did. So that was a bold faced lie, straight to my face, and it was everything I could do not to make a scene because when I am lied to I will call that person out REAL fast, but 2 people in my group had birthdays so I bit my tongue, and I put my feelings to the side. I told them we would wait the estimated 25 minutes for our table. 25 minutes later, we get told that they can sit us up by the bar and we wouldn't all be at the same table, or we can wait another 25 minutes. None of the waitstaff seemed to care at all, and their lackadaisical, complacent attitude irritated me even more. So at this point, one of the people who's birthday it was started calling the hostess out because this is now 2/2 that they failed to properly provide us a table. The fact that the hostess was smiling at me this entire time led me to cussing her out and we subsequently left. Screw this place. I have been coming here for a couple years, often times bringing groups of people and have NEVER been treated like this but after yesterday - getting treated in the manner we were -- in front of both family and friends -- I will not be coming back here anymore. Go to La Prilla in Oakwood. Better people, and the staff isn't ignorant. read more

We ordered our food an as soon as it came out there were about 45 flies that kept landing all Around us close to that window, ALL OVER OUR FOOD!!! Disgusting. So we tell our server who has the biggest attitude!!! Our ball friends were also eating an got terrible service. Finally the manager comes over an "oh i sorry""" blah blah blah. So he comes back 5 minutes later an says I'll give you a discount 12$ off. Mind you the entire lunch we are having to swat flies an not even getting to eat!!! You might get a lot of food, but it really is not worth it. Had our first meal there and we left it uneaten. The food was burnt and dry, had it redone but second time it was worse. A few days later called up and spoke to the Manager/Owner who offered us a free meal. You would think that at this point he would make sure that everything was good. My wife's steak was full of gristle and uneatable, sent it back to be replaced by chicken. The chicken was dry and oily at the same time. Spoke to the manager over the phone two days later and he told me that everything looked good and did not see the problem Well I guess, he was able to look at the food and with his eyes taste it and determine that it was good. I really enjoyed my meal, and I generally do not enjoy Mexican very often. I got a grilled steak burrito which was very flavorful. The rice and beans are basically like any other order of rice and beans. However, their salsa was probably the best I've had at any Mexican restaurant! Very good.
