The only Mexican restaurant I'll ever go to! The staff is always so kind and they even go out of their way to let you know when someone else will be taking over your table. Refills come before you ever need them, food is always hot and served in a timely manner. They're kid friendly and the alcoholic drinks are my favorite! However, everyone around knows how great it is so if you're coming on a Friday or Saturday you better be prepared to wait. If you see a line out the door, you will definitely be waiting a very long time. It's not comfortable when it's packed as tables are very close together. Otherwise it's amazing! The service was horrible!!! We went in there and ordered a molcajete and had to wait almost an hour for it. Not only that, but we saw our food ready on the table where the kitchen is. Our food was just sitting there!!! And our waiter didn't make the situation seem better!! He preferred to talk to some girls sitting at some table while our food was already out. Seems like he prefers to slack instead of actually doing his job. When our food finally got to our table, it was burnt! We waited so long for nothing! Fantastic! Our first time here and we were so very impressed. The service was quick and attentive. Every staff member we encountered was caring and more than ready to be of service. Yo quiero Taco Bell??? Nope. Yo quiero Senor fiesta! Senor fiesta always brings the heat with their service, food, and prices. They have three locations two situated in Gainesville and one recently opening in Dawsonville. Most people think chain restaurants are just mediocre and can veer away from what is authentic just to appease the masses, but Senor fiesta keeps to their roots and delivers a one of a kind Mexican experience. I have the pleasure of working close to one of the Gainesville locations and I see myself coming here twice a week for lunch, it's that cheap and fulfilling. Forget about fast food drive thrus, Senor fiestas lunch menu has many different options for the same prices of a fast food restaurant. I normally get the lunch #5, it comes with a burrito cover in enchilada sauce and cheese, a single hard shell taco and a bed of rice all for 6.15. That doesn't get any better for a sit down restaurant. But one small tip is come before noon or a little bit after 1 because at noon you'll be hard pressed to find a table. read more

Wow; this place rocks! I travel for business so I rely on yelp a lot. I had the fiesta cheese steak lunch and it was incredible. Portions are large, salsa and chips were amazing, service was excellent. It's a busy place for lunch, but plenty of room at the bar! Very clean and friendly. read more

This is the first and last time I will visit this location. Upon entering we were told to sit anywhere. The waitress that greeted us asked if we were ready to order because they were about to close. I apologized, since it was my first visit, and I asked if we should leave. While she was thinking about her answer I asked for a manager. That is when she said we could stay. When I asked the manager the same question, after telling him what had just happened, he looked at his watch and said we could stay while they cleaned. That was very nice of him. The new waiter was very nice and made us feel welcome. And the food was great as well. It is a shame that a new restaurant like this doesn't want local business. My husband and I had been out running errands and decided to stop in and try Senor Fiesta for a late lunch. It was 3pm on a Sunday. To our surprise, the dining room was very busy. We stood at the hostess stand for several minutes waiting to be seated. Several crew members passed us without acknowledging our presence. When the hostess did finally come to the front she didn't smile or apologize for keeping us waiting. All she did was ask for how many were in our party, our name and a phone number. We stepped outside to wait the quoted 5 minutes so that the long line of people waiting behind us could also be taken care of. I have no idea why she asked for a phone number, we weren't sent any kind of text, she just poked her head out the door and called our name. She seated us and said our server would be right with us, and never once apologized for keeping us waiting at the host stand to even be greeted. The server, a young lady named Keylin, arrived promptly and took our drink and cheese dip order. She gave us time to look over the menu and never once made us feel rushed. Her smile was constant and beautiful. My husband ordered the Steak Ranchero, medium, and I ordered the Chipotle Chicken and Shrimp. We waited 45 minutes for our order, and my husband's steak was overdone. Keylin had been coming by our table every few minutes to assure us that our order was in the works, and made sure we had everything else we needed. My husband told her that she had been the only bright moment in an otherwise bad experience, and it made her feel so good to know that she was doing her best to take care of us despite what was going on in the kitchen. I asked for a manager and told him about waiting for so long to even be acknowledged by anyone at all, and how long we had to wait for our order. He explained that they were short staffed, and that another manager was in the kitchen helping to cook orders while he helped to expedite and run orders. Short staffed or not, he should've taken a few minutes to go through the dining room and greet customers and explain that they were short staffed and that orders would be coming as soon as possible. That would've gone a long way in soothing angry customers. He also explained that the hostesses were new, still in training high school students. I told him that perhaps they were in the wrong business if they were unable to muster a smile when greeting customers. The food was good, very fresh and good flavor. Watch out for the chipotle, it's got a kick! Now, I will say that he did discount our drinks and cheese dip, and he did give us a $15 gift card, which does go a long way in smoothing ruffled feathers. So, I will give them another chance, and hope that things are better. read more

My favorite Mexican restaurant in Gainesville... They really take care of you here ask for Juan ... He's one great server. Alex the manager does a great job my favorite item is the AC Texicano chicken and shrimp grilled with onions and mushrooms bell peppers on top of rice more than you should eat at one time... Great leftovers for lunch the next day :-) NEVER had a bad meal here always great :-) and the margarita with Grand Marnier... It is awesome! And in cooler weather the patio seating is nice also. read more

I come here whenever I'm in the area. The food is consistent and they are always busy so that has to tell you something. Chips are thinner than some other places but that just makes them more crispy. The salsa is good also with a nice bit of spice but nothing too crazy. The only down side is that it's a pretty loud place because of no carpet or anything to help damper the sound. Especially since they do A lot of family business and tend to have A lot of young children and babies, it can get really loud. read more

I had lunch here with my wife and kid's. Their prices are quite reasonable . The food was good with exception to my kids chicken tenders that were overcooked and the waitress wouldn't reorder them. So they get 4 out 5 stars. I hope they improve service no one wants burnt food. read more

We eat here at least once a week. It's our go-to place to eat. The staff is very friendly. Most know us by name. We are always seated in a timely manner. Very clean. Owner is very friendly. This was the best Mexican Restaurant in Gainesville that I had tried. But recently I have been there twice that there was a very negative change. The meat used for it's Taco's for example was dry, over spiced and not fresh. I literally couldn't eat my food and left hungry. The service wasn't as good as in the past also. I am very sad to report this, as it was the only Mexican place I had been going, because it was that much better than the others. You're milage may vary as it's obvious they are inconsistent. I talked to a manager the first time this was an incident. The second time I didn't bother. The manager on duty wasn't as responsive as the previous managers that had been there. It is obvious that something changed at Señor Fiesta. I was literally shocked! I doubt I will eat there again ever. Pueblo's and Fajita's are now better than them. read more
