I had driven by this place hundreds of times so I'm not sure what made me stop in but I'm so glad I did. I had a chicken burrito that tasted so fresh and delicious it puts all the chains and other local places to shame. I have been to this spot a few times, but after tonight's experience it will be my last. The gentleman behind the counter was rude- at first he told me he wouldn't take my order as they were too busy, then after I gave him pushback said it would be over an hour wait (it took 20 minutes). Let me also add HE WAS NOT WEARING A MASK! Also, one of the line cooks (who interacts with all the orders) did not have his mask on, rather around his face. To make matters worse, I get home and both burritos I ordered were completely wrong. Both were supposed to be chicken and were not. When I came back to return it and get the correct order, they were far from nice about it. What happened to this place? Food is served luke warm, beans tasted old , rice had no flavor except loaded with pepper, quesadillas thrown together. I had to ask for sour cream before I left because they only give you a small dollop of it and you have to pay .50 per small cup. I don't care about the price it's the principle. They didn't include salsa for the chips either, didn't notice till we got home! The chicken in the quesadilla tasted off too. I've been to Senor Salsa a few times and always have a good experience. My latest visit I had the chipotle shrimp salad and I'm still salivating thinking about it. The dressing paired very well with the salsa, and the shrimp seasoning. The lettuce and tortilla strips were fresh and crunchy. Add the side tortilla chips along with their spicy sauce is A-1! Lol. I love this place. Food is amazing, staff are efficient and polite, and it always comes out quickly. Anyone leaving negative reviews comparing it to Rio Bravo should really check out Rio Bravo's health rating and learn what authentic Mexican food tastes like (not Tex-Mex). I honestly prefer the food here to a lot of the Mexican places where I grew up (NYC/Brooklyn). I always find the restaurant to be clean, and I sometimes sit down while waiting for my takeout and have never noticed anything other than cleanliness and efficient service. Taco Bell is cheaper and better from what I just received. Maybe I'm the only crazy person who gets Mexican at 11:30a on a Sunday, but the food was un edible. Carnitas taco was a slab of fatty pork, fish taco is covered in a terrible green sauce that I can't identify and the crispy fish is drenched in another un identifiable orange sauce and charred. I've been coming for over 10 years, back when it used to be called La Salsa and it's one of my favorite restaurants around. The food is so great, and comes out super quick. The prices are also really great. I've had so many dishes on the menu and they're all great. Taquitos, tacos and burritos are my favorites. Their fresh salsa bar is just an added bonus. Keep in mind that they have a small parking lot so when they get busy you'll likely have to park at a neighboring lot and walk over - but don't let that stop you because it's totally worth it! read more

The service is also very poor as I had a female get mad when I tried checking to see if their food ingredients were gluten free, and another laughed about it. I just went over to order some food from this place. And let me tell, you I'll never go back. Female employee putting my food together just came back from cleaning the dining area and without gloves or washing her hands she started putting my order together. To top it off her mask was under her chin. Why bother wearing a mask then? Food was lower grade. She gave me a huge bag of tortilla chips that were completely stale. Side of queso was cold. I just threw money in the trash. Food and service at this place is just pure garbage. We are regular customers and never really had any complaints. However today, we ordered a few salads and spent $75. The salads were very small portion sized and did not have any dressing on them. When I contact them, I spoke to the manager who was rude and kept saying that the salads had dressing and was insinuating that I called just for free food or my money back. This place use to be sooooooooo good. Sadly I've watched them substitute cheaper ingredients and smaller portions. The steak use to be soft and tender and I've noticed them changing the cut of meat over time. Now it's tough, elastic like and gristle. The scoops of guacamole and sour cream have been reduced from nice scoops to a tiny smear. The chip bags aren't being filled up anymore. I used to go here a lot ... but after the last two visits I won't be back . I always got the Chicken Quesadilla Grande ... it was delicious .... now they make it full of rice and beans ( a cheap filler ) and very little chicken ... I thought maybe the steak version ( which was nasty ) came with rice and beans in the quesadilla so i went back to ordering the chicken ... nope ... this is how they make it now ... nothing but cheap fillers ... there was barely any chicken in it ... i took the minuscule amount of chicken out and tossed the rest in the garbage .
